I grill it or bake it with some garlic salt and pepper, to me it just tastes like ground steak but leaner.

I have been reading and reading these threads on HCG and I have printed out so much I had to call my sweet husband and ask him to go to WalMart after work and buy me another black ink cartridge!

I have some more questions
Since Splenda is allowed can I continue to drink my flavored water I drink that and it is sweetened with Splenda?

Are we allowed to drink Herbal Flavored tea? I hope so as we LOVE "Constant Comment" it is made by Bigelow and seasoned with orange peel we purchase it at WalMart.It is soooo good,the bueberry is too and apple cinnamon flavor.
I can drink those without Splenda.

How about flavored coffee? I really like the Creme Brulee flavored coffee
I can drink it without sweetner also however I like my Carnation Coffee Mate.YES I know I have to stop that!The first ingredient in it is Corn Syrup

If I order Liquid Stevia does it have an aftertaste like the powdered one does? Which flavor is the best?

On the chicken broth I don't want to make it so If I buy MSG free Chicken Broth will tht be ok? That is what I have on hand. I am hoping beyond hope it will be ok. It is MSG,cal, fat and sugar free.

I know I can't have butter on PH2 so I am looking forward to the broth to cook my green beans and cabbage in.How about the Mrs Dash can we us any of that?

I truly am excited as this is the perfect time to start since green beans, asparagus,cabbage and strawberries are fresh and in season now! We don't have a garden(we have tomato plants) but we purchase our vegetables from the Amish. There are quite a few live around this area! They can do all the work and I'll enjoy the crop!I forgot are green beans on Ph2 I am thinking NOT!

On average... they key word being AVERAGE women lose 1/2 a pound a day. For most of us that means at the beginning... like the first week... most of us lose 2-3 pounds the first couple days then it slows down to 1 pound for a few days then drops off to less than 1 pound a day... and eventually settles in at about .4-.6 a day. You will have some days you do NOT lose at all, and since we are women, which means we are hormonal and are really good at retaining water... sometimes you may even GAIN. Sometimes you will stall at the same weight our bounce around, up and down a few ounces for several days then it will drop.

Do not even begin to get excited about 2 pounds a day... you will set yourself up for a HUGE disappointment.

My first 3 rounds I lost between 9 & 11 pounds the first week... this round only 5. We are all different so your loss patterns will be what your body feels is best. I always tell folks to plan on an AVERAGE of 1/2 a pound a day and if your AVERAGE is higher than that then YIPPEE!! My first round my average loss was .8, second round .6, third round during the first 30 days was .7... the last 21 days were basically a was because I tried many off protocol things and could not get my head in the game. This round my average for the first 2 weeks was .8, but I don't weigh daily so I have no clue if I'm losing now or stalling.

You will only lose weight during phase 2 when you are on the VLCD and taking hcg. You will stabilize during phase 3 & 4.. meaning you will stay within -/+ 2 of your Last Dose Weight for the full 6 weeks. Then you can load 2 days with hcg and resume the VLCD/hcg for another round.

I do not take my cod liver oil during the VLCD. I know of some that have and eventually end up stopping b/c it makes them stall.. also know of another gal that takes it and it does not bother her losses at all. YMMV! (Your Mileage May Vary)

As for hair and body products. Most of our products on the market are made up of chemicals & mineral oil so they are fine. Unless you use all natural products that contain coconut oil, almond oil, sesame oil, avocado oil, ... get the picture.. if you would eat it... you shouldn't use it during VLCD. I've never changed my toothpaste.

You are so helpful to everyone and Dawn too.But actually everyone is.

I have not gotten a thing done today but read threads on Hcg and print out the INFO.
I don't mind changing shampoos I saw where Tresseme Shampoo is ok. So I will be getting that.But my teeth are VERY SENSITIVE to hot and cold.So I probably won't change that then.

Also I read your post on Dry brushing then I read it from somone else.Did yu say to brush away from your heart? The other lady said towards your heart so I was wondering which weay was right? I have very dry skin any way because of my diabets. This sounds good.I think I will buy some mineral oil to put on my body(gonna take a gallon of it)But not for long with HCG


The .5 a day is still 3lbs a week that is better than what I have been dong!I am hoping since I am past that TOM and take hormones I may loose good?I think the less you have to loose the less you loose.NOT fair but I think it's true

Berta--I am so excited you will be starting!! I decided to quit the hcg this week because I have TOM in the house. I will begin next week. Was going to start today, but TOM is not done yet and DH just told me of our eating plans this weekend. His aunt wants to take us out to dinner for his birthday from April 3! And he has a get together with co-workers that will more than likely involve food. So Monday for me it is!!! When I start up on P2, I use Dial soap, Alberto v05 shampoo (only $0.77!!!) and conditioner and a different facial soap than my normal coconut oil soap. I switch it to Neutrogena oil free face soap. I also only use baby oil on my skin. The equate brand of johnson and johnson is great! I even change out my toothpaste. Cinnamon is very nice! I also have very sensitive teeth, but we are not to have mint with the homeopathic hcg. It may counteract the hcg and I certainly don't want that!! What I suggest you do if you want to use mint toothpaste is dose far away from any time you brush your teeth. Like if you dose at 6AM, then brush your teeth at 8AM.

Okay I think I will be brushing at night and we are not supposed to eat after 6pm right? So that would work. The only thing is we eat at 6:30.So I won't be doing that.

I will be starting Mon or Tuesday.Probably Tues because UPS usually comes in the afternoon.

We purchased a meat pkg last year and we havern't used the beef because it was so fatty.I have been trying to loose with Spark People(didn't stick to it lost to slow)So I am having fatty beef feast day for two days next week. BBQ Grill is ready to go

Does the HHCG drops need refrigerated? I have heard they may be taking it off market and I bought the pellets and drops and was thinking of purchasing more before they take it off.I want to try the RXHCG on my RD2PH2.Do you know if it needs refrigerated?

I am going to do 20drops of the HHCG my Rd1PH2.Is that too much?

Hope you are doing good. I didn't get on here last night.Decided to sit with my husband and watch TV again instead! I have already warned him when I start HHCG I may be going to bed a lot earlier than usual!!(To keep from eating)

Yes, brush toward your heart.

And yes many of us find the closer we get to goal the less we lose on average. But.. being close to goal is a blessing yet it comes with it's own set of challenges.

Hubby and I many times save a fruit for our evening snack which is always after the kids are in bed (we have 6 children between the ages of 7 & 15)which means we are eating around 7 or 8 at night. And we almost always have our FAVORITE what we call "Peppermint Patty Tea". It is mint tea with drops of vanilla cream stevia and chocolate stevia.. Seriously it is like sipping on a hot York Peppermint Patty... YUMMY!!

I like taking my drops first thing in the morning, sometime early afternoon, then again right at bed-time. You'll find a schedule that works best for you and you can always change it up a bit as time goes on. The hcg stays in your system for 48-72 hours so no biggie if your dosing schedule gets thrown off somehow or if you happen to forget a dose.

I do find that I will go to bed early on nights where the cravings are bad... I'd rather sleep then day dream of eating foods that are not on protocol.

Myfirst two were still born(boy then girl) and then The Lord so graciously allowed me to finally have one My beautiful daughter Gina!
Then I had to have a complete Hysterectomy.So one was all I was blessed with.I envy you!

Berta--the information that came with my first supply of homeopathic hcg said "no mint". So I have stuck to that rule. I switch to cinnamon toothpaste and stay away from mint gum and the like. And I pass along that info that was passed along to me. What you do with it, well at least you can say you were warned to stay away LOL. Just like the "do not store homeopathics around electronics". Most people don't know that one either.

So sorry about your precious babies. My last one was difficult, I was hospitalized for 5 days due to severe postpartum pr-ecclampsia. So we listened to the doctor and took permanent measures to prevent future babies and I've regretted it ever since. BUT I was very obese for all my pregnancies and we lived off of frankenfood. Since I'm now at a healthy weight AND we eat sooooooo much better than we did with any of my other pregnancies... I'd love to be "surprised" with another little one. I always wanted a dozen children... now though my oldest teen boy is having some challenges... so I know God's plan is best and my energy needs to be spent on him.. not a sweet baby... BUT I still cry every month when I get my TOM... pathetic.

I had preclampsia too had to have cesaren both times!But I know my God had a plan even though I didn't understand.
And I know I will see them again one day!

I am going to switch to Colgate cinnamon.My shopping day is Saturday so I have to get new toothpaste and Shampoo and Conditoner.I think I'll go with Tresemme.(Spelling?)

Also is there a limit on how much veggies you can have.I know it is only one per meal but I haven't seen if we can have a lot or just 1/2cup?And how about the vinegar.Does is have to be apple cider or can we use Red Wine Vinegar? I think I will try useing sweetened vinegar and water for dressing.May not be able to handle itBut I will try at least once.

Did anyone see my questions about HHCG?
I bought pellets and drops from Netriton.How long will they keep? I am thinking of buying RXHCG and trying them first? They cost more but I have read they work best?
Any thoughts? I don't mind sppending the money if they work.and if the ones I bought from Netriton will keep? I will take the pellets first I think and then order the RXHCG as I want to get started!

I do know not to put them by electrical appliances. How about the bathroom cabinet? There's a light above it though?

Also what is the serving limit on our veggies in rnd1Ph2?

Berta--no to the sweetened vinegar. You can use vinegar, but make sure it is NOT sweetened. I don't know about the pellets, so I cannot help you there. But when I did my first 3 rounds, I did well. I stabilized and did really well in the later phases. You should be just fine using the homeopathic. How did your DD do using them? My understanding about homeopathics is that they do NOT expire!! Yeah to that! So you can buy them, store them, and keep them for a few years with no harm. Just keep in a cool, dry place like your bathroom cabinet.

I hate vegetables and could only stomach a little bit. I never weighed or measured my veggies on plan, but I would never overeat them either LOL. I even ate 1/2 a cucumber at a meal---that is how much I dislike veggies.

I've used both rx & homeopathic and they both worked equally well for me. Each round was different. But I think that is simply because... each round is different b/c my body was shrinking to a new level. I was 225-235 for 17 years. For many of us each round is different no mater how we chose to dose (Rx or hhcg).

I figure my protein calories, 40 calories of starch (20 each serving), fruit calories, the use up the rest of the calories on veggies.

The vinegar is red wine vinegar no sugar in it.I was speaking of adding splenda and water to the red wine vineagar to make some sort of dressing.

My daughter has lost nearly 70lbs in less than a year.She looks amazing!
I am not much of a veggie eater either.But I like cucumbers and onions in sour cream and dill! I love tomatoes!

Do you like mustard?

I mix 1/4 cup mustard, 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/8-1/4 tsp powdered stevia and about 1 1/2 cups water. It is a sweet tangy mustard dressing.... it is our favorite phase 2 dressing.

My mom mixed wine vinegar with water & splenda for dressing during her round and loved it.

Here is another dressing recipe we love.... especially on shredded cabbage. If you put it on cabbage stir it well and let it sit on the cabbage for a few hours to improve flavor.

6 TBSP Apple Cider Vinegar
6 TBSP water ( in ph 3 use oil)
stevia to taste
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp caraway seed or celery seed (optional)
1/8-1/2 tsp pepper to taste

Berta- Just lurking but wanted to add, I saw you said your hhcg wouldn't be here until Mon or Tues and that you may have to load without it, and that you hoped this was ok and wouldn't hurt your losses. I just browsed the other posts, you've gotten great advice, but you need to load while taking the hhcg for it to count as loading. If you load without having it in your system you won't get the benefits from loading!

What I meant was I wasn't sticking to my normal diet.I have been useing Spark People and have lost six lbs this month.But since I know I will be starting HHCG Tues I have went off Spark People and back to my OLD eating habits.And was hoping that wouldn't hurt. I haven't actually been gorgeing(loading)

I do thank you because I need all the advice I can get. I am new to this but can hardly wait to see how I do? I know I will have many more questions along the way. I plan to post evrything I eat loading and otherwise so if you see something that shouldn't be there give me a holler

MemoryKeeper, sorry about your gain. Are you close to TOM? Try not to let it get to you too much. I hope tomorrow you see a good loss.

I am still doing alright, I can't say I am not hungry, but it is manageable so far. I am working on rearranging my food to better cover my hunger. It seemed to help to have a snack in the morning and eat a piece of fruit. I am also saving a fruit serving for the evening. Today is VLCD 9 and I am down another 0.6 pounds for a total of 8.4.

great losses for you too!! Good for you for figuring out how to arrange your food to cover your day without hunger. I tend to do the same thing, and it works for me also.

Berta, in all of my hhcg information that I received I was told that Splenda was not an allowed sweetener. I had to switch to Stevia instead. Maybe the other ladies have seen something different than me as there is lots of different information out there on hhcg.

I'm on VLCD #4 and finally lost my load weight. I'm actually 1# below my load weight and LDW. Now the fun losing begins!!!
