Berta, have you read Pounds and Inches by Dr. Simeons yet? If not, you HAVE to read it!! It helps so much to have all the information. I have also been able to download it in audio book form for free.

Yay, for Friday delivery!!!

Yes, the protocol requires that you do maintenance for 6 weeks before starting a new round. This applies to all of the hcg types including hhcg and rhcg. I have heard of people cutting the maintenance period short, but it's not suggested.
Thank you and I am happy your daughter is ok, As this plan is a lot confusing to me but I think I beginning to understand it.

Nice meeting you

BOY this is great to know as I was worried I would like an old dried up prune with all the weight I have to loose

Got an e-mail from Netrition should get it Friday if not Monday
Yes, 6 weeks. 3 weeks of phase 3 where you do not eat sugar/starch then 3 weeks where you can slowly add it back in always being mindful of that -/+2 window on either side of your LDW.

YEAH!!! You might be able to load this weekend.

Remember loading is easiest on you when you focus on fat & protein: pork, chicken with skin, fatty beef, eggs, salmon, avocado, coconut oil or butter on everything, heavy whipping cream whipped & sweetened for "dessert", etc. If you chose to load on candy, donuts, bread, cookies, etc.. you will feel really crapy the first couple days. :-( My personal experience has been that if I focus on the foods in the first list and eat until I'm full... not like a stuffed pig... I gain very little and my detox is VERY short lived.. like a head ache for 1 day and virtually no hunger from day 1 of VLCD. The times I loaded on sugar, starch, candy, cookies, chips, I experienced more hunger the first week and had a head ache for 2-3 days and just felt.. bleh. I do always include quality chocolate in my load.. several pieces.. it is my "treat".

YES!! Find a good brush... actually my walmart sells a natural bristled brush in the toiletries section. It is a shower brush with a nice long handle which is so convenient for brushing the back of my legs & my back.

You gals may also want to check into taking MSM powder in pill form, AND breaking a capsule open into water and splashing it onto your skin. It helps to tighten the skin up. I use an MSM lotion when I'm on phase 3 and saw a difference in my wrinkly flabby skin within a week. My stretch marks started to fade too.

Oh my!! This sounds almost as If I would want to hide my flesh in a nice tight girdle ya think?

I wondering if we get veggies to put the butter on??I know I will put it on the grilled shrimp.
I was thinking of BBQ Ribs then figured the BBQ Sauce would be a no no.
I am going to have fried chicken is that lawful for loading? Half N Half for my coffee lots of it Grilled Bratwurst on the grill, sausage and eggs for breakfast and bacon(Do we eat breakfast on load days?) Here I thought I had this figured all out If we can have veggies I was thinking of celerey stuffed with cream cheese.

We just had an invitation for Saturday afternoon for games and Pizza. So I am happy it is BEFORE I begin my HHCG !

Berta, I eat WHATEVER I want during loading. It's one of the perks to the diet, in my opinion!

I made P2 friendly caramel candy. Easy peasy! I poured Walden's Caramel syrup into a candy mold and froze it! It was really tasty!

All your loading foods sound great. You can season them however you want... you are loading so there really are no "rules" other than lots of fat & I also think protein is really beneficial since you won't get much while you are on protocol. I usually don't eat many veggies while loading... not fatty enough for me. Although this past time I did have a HUGE mixed veggie salad with globs of cheese, cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs, bacon, and dressing. I KNEW it would be a while b/f I'd have the luxury of all those yummies on a salad at once!!

Yes that's to bad we can't mix the veggies. Could we put the hamburger on the lettuce with salsa?

Do you have any idea why we can't have Turkey or Pork? They are leaner than beef? Just wondering

I was thinking of like a veggie casserole with cream cheese or something like that? But no worry I love meat I am definetley canivorous

Dr. S tried many foods, and many food combinations in the years he ran his hcg clinic. What he found was that the foods he lists out are the very best for the most consistent weight loss in EVERYONE. Other foods work ok for some and not for others.. but the one on the list are good for everyone.

Now, that being said... some of us find that we cannot eat tomatoe & onion on the same day a lose well b/c of the natural sugars in these foods. Some find that unless they get 97% fat free beef other beef causes them to stall. So even among the list of foods some work better than others for individuals and in various combinations.

I also feel he has us stick with just 1 veggie.. not mixing (salsa is mixing... not allowed) because it allows us to digest the foods more optimally for nutrient absorption. That is my personal opinion.

I really think it is wise to do your first round by the book, no mixing of veggies, no cheats, nothing except what is allowed by Dr. S. THEN if you want to start playing around with things... you'll KNOW what does work and can always fall back on that.. if you mess around from the get go.. things might not go well then you'll give up altogether.

Hi y'all, checking in. I have been absent for a few days - this SHOULD be VLCD 9 for me, but I have been off-plan for a couple day -- although I continued to take the drops. Is that worse than just eating in violation of P2? I haven't weighted myself the past 2 days either - because I was out of town and also because I was afraid to see the number go up!! Sigh. I did it to myself!

But with new resolve I will start tomorrow fresh--should I recount the past two days? (add more VLCDs) I think this round is really really hard because I am so close to goal, the last lbs are just hanging on! I am more or less 7ish lbs from goal. I don't feel hunger but the boredom factor kills me-- I just eat for the heck of it! How can I stop that??

Also, totally different question-is hhcg as effective? I saw some posts today that said it is just a placebo? Gosh I hope not!

VLCD 4 for me, all the load weight plus about 5 more pounds gone. Couldn't weigh yesterday, so it was nice to see a big drop on the scales today

Good morning. I hope you're successful with getting back on the program, just brush the dirt off your feet and keep moving. At least you didn't wait a whole week or two.
I take hhcg and it works fine for me. I've never heard anyone say that it's just a placebo.

Congratulations. I wish I only had 5 lbs. left to go.

As for me, I'm down 2.2 this morning. This leaves me with another .6 to lose before I can at least be back down to my pre-load weight. Oh well, that's what I get for not following Shirley's suggestion to load up on fat and protein and not try to do all of the carbs .
I hope all of you ladies have a great weigh in this morning. Ciao bella!!!

Hi Beezy! I hope you didn't read hHCG was a placebo on this forum! I can honestly say that anyone that says that probably wasn't doing the program fully. You can't do Protocol and NOT lose weight. It may be slower depending on many factors, but it does come off. I hHCG! HCG may not work for some people because of other reasons, life, etc., but it works if you do the program.

Just brush yourself off and get back on so you can go into P3 in the best way possible. And Hooray for being sooo close to your goal!!!

Hair lotion question...

Hi Tiffany,
I was wondering... do you use some type of moisturizer (lotion/pomade) for your hair while on P2? I have to use moisturizer this time as I have my hair down and can't afford to see it falling down With my last round I had breads in so I did not need to use moisturizer.

Thanks!

Hey girlie...good to see you over here. I use the same hair care products that I've always used because my hair stylist (who also does hhcg) said that she didn't notice a difference with gains or stalls. The shampoo and conditioner that I use is Biolage and I really don't use any moisturizer because I have naturally oily hair, which I absolutely hate. If you have to have moisturizer I can ask my stylist what kind she uses.
I did change my soap to Zest and I use baby oil as lotion.

I forgot to ask if any of you guys have ever had buffalo/bison meat? I saw in the Pounds and Inches book that we can have this during P2. I went and bought some yesterday but I'm not the type to eat any strange meats so I'm kind of leary about it.

Well, I'm not having a good week.

I've been at the same weight for the past five days. I don't want to do an apple day for health reasons (blood sugar issues).

I'll just see what happens. I've been following protocol to a "T".

Last time I had a stall, I had good losses two days in a row.

My calories have been a bit under 500: 439, 450, 427. Maybe I need to get closer to 500?

My clothes have been feeling very loose, but no loss is showing up on the scale.

If you have to have moisturizer I can ask my stylist what kind she uses.
I did change my soap to Zest and I use baby oil as lotion.
You will see more of me on this board starting tomorrow as I am starting loading in the next few hours (looking forward to enjoying my orange scone with cofee for bkf tomorrow morning --I will try to not ovedue on the carbs though, I don't like the feelling of being stuffed)

I have to use moisturizer on my hair as I have Wave Nouveau curls --so I have to use activator/moisturizer for the curls otherwise I will look like a crazy woman with dry lifeless curls

Could you ask your hair stylist for me? I use Motion and Wave Nouveau products for my hair. My hair dresser does not have a clue about hcg so she would kill me if I tell her I will stop moisturizing my hair! She is very professional and doesn't want her clients messing up her hard work!!

Thanks much

Hi Gina! I would up your calories a bit and see if it helps. Just keep trucking along, the weight will start coming off again. I had a six day stall that was very hard, but it was just my body doing it's thing. I did notice my waist seemed to be slimming during that time. I like how someone on a vlog said the days she didn't lose any weight were her "inch" days...some days you lose "pounds" and others you lose "inches". It was a great picture to have in my head to keep my head on straight.

Hang in there and !!!!

Hello HCGERS

I recieved an e-mail from Netriton and my HHCG will be here Monday by the end of the day.
So if it gets here later in the afternoon which it probably will.I will start Tuesday morning.
Was so hoping I could start Sunday.

I have been doing Spark People since the 1st of this month and I am down to 268 so that isn't a bad loss but I want this fat off YESTERDAYI was 274.8. so that's 6.8lbs.

I read you would loose 2lbs a day.Is this true? Is it just during PH2 or during all Phases?

I have been not sticking to my daily limit I guess I have a mind set of it will come off when I begin my HCG. I may be doing my load days without the HCG?Hope it won't hurt my losses.

Do I really need to change my Shampoos and toothpaste? That seems a bit extreme. But I know there are reasons. Also my Dr doesn't want me to quit my Mega Red it is Krill fish oil. What should I do? I know he isn't my boss and I will not die with out it. So what would you do?

My shampoo is Back to Basics and my toothpaste is Sensodyne. We do use Ivory Soap so we needn't change that

I wish to thank EVERYONE that has ben so helpful to me.

Hope everyone has a wonderful VLCD
