I met 2 HCGers!!!!

Today I went up to Greenville, SC to meet 2 LCFers who are also HCGers. Here is a pic from our meetup today:

This picture is me (Dawn) along with Marie (cruzcrazy) and Lisa (big braves girl) in the hotel lobby where Marie was staying. Marie flew in from OK to visit her son who lives in Greenville and Lisa and I both live in SC. I am so excited we were able to meetup and I invite anyone who is coming to SC to let me know as I would love to meet you too

That is so exciting!!

I've often thought how cool it would be to meet some of the women who gave me so much support. I mean, when you think about it, there are some people on this board who were here for us when we needed them the most.

This diet, learning the ins and outs, the daily struggles, that's no easy task!!

I'm so happy you got to meet them!

That's so cool! I hope you had fun! It's so cool to finally meet someone face-to-face when you've only "seen" each other online... kinda like penpals meeting up or something.

We (hubby and I) just found out that in our small group at church, someone else was doing HCG... I thought that was kinda cool! We understand each other so much better because of it!

I feel like normally we're the odd family that hides out away from real life when we're on P2 because it's such a hassle to try to eat with others or at a restaurant... don't have the stamina for some of those conversations, IYKWIM.

Thanks ladies. I forgot to say that we had a blast. Since Marie was here for such a short time and wanted to be with her son, we stayed with each other for about 3 hours. But it was so fun. It felt like we knew each other for years. And I guess we have LOL. It was fun!! I have more pictures to share, but that will have to wait as they are not in my computer just yet. But I will share more!!! I highly suggest doing a meet up, they are so much fun!!! The first time I met Lisa we went to the mall and I got to meet her hubby too. Then I met with Debkeversole while we were on vacation last year in TN. I have also met a few people from LCFs when I have been to FL. I love to meet my online friends. Of course, my kids and DH think I am crazy. But they are good sports.

Well I'm in FL... hope to meet you some time! If you're ever gonna be in Disney, I'd love the excuse for an extra day there.

(You can tell I'm a FL newbie, right?) Maybe we should just go ahead and plan a Low Carb Friends conference actually in Disney... could you imagine? They could make a special low carb buffet for all of us since we've all got such similar dietary restrictions!

Man... if I were ever to open a restaurant, it'd need to have a good focus on low carb offerings... leave the bread, potatoes, pastas, and rices off the menu! Ok... day dream ramble over...

My mom lives in FL, as do my dad and step siblings. I just might have to look you up!! My dad is in Dunnellon (I think that is what it is--it is horse country, so right outside of Ocala) and my mom just moved from the West coast to the East coast--right near Ft Lauderdale. I am not sure when my next visit will be or to whom it will be!, but I will be sure to post about it.

oooh, and Lisa was telling me that there was a LCFs meet up in Disney one year. About 5 ladies were down there for a weekend or so and they had a really fun time
