WOE: HCG
Just placed my order, determined!

Hi!

I just placed my order for HHCG drops and am ready to give another go...I lost 40 lbs in 2009 but regained it quickly. I used the injections at that time, not the HHCG. I started at 207, got down to 169 and I'm back at 198.

I am very familiar with the Simeons protocol and will follow it to the letter (this time!). I've had a couple of failed restart attempts over the last couple of years but know I need to lose about 60 pounds and get to a healthy weight, and MAINTAIN. I am a Type 2 diabetic and controlling my diabetes well with oral medication but I'd like to reduce or even eliminate the need for medications. In the past, my blood sugar was great without meds on the VLCD portion of the HCG diet.

I have been eating very well, exercising, and NOT losing weight. SO frustrating! My thyroid is fine and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why this is so hard other than the fact that I will be 41 in September.

A couple questions:

Has anyone done a long-term round with HHCG to get to goal? If so, can you share your story?

About how long will a 4oz bottle last me?

Glad to have this group on my upcoming journey!

I am sorry no one has answered this post before now. Welcome!! I know that LilacBruze has diabetes and is now off all meds because of doing this protocol. So I know you will do well, if you work the program. She has done 2 long rounds and used the homeopathic hcg. Just do a search for her screen name and some of her posts will come up! I know that my bottle of 2 oz will last me a full 21 day round, with lots left over. So 4 oz will last at least the long round of 40 days!

Best of luck to you!!!

Thank you for your response, Dawn! I will definitely look up the posts you mentioned. My order should be delivered today, I'm anxious to start and will be hitting the grocery story tonight for a few loading items and P2 foods.

Have a great day!

I did not do a round straight through to goal but I have done longer rounds. I have 2 hcg buddies that have done over 200 days VLCD straight through... actually each had a couple Planned Interruptions here or there.

I really think it is wise to listen to your body. Remember on the VLCD our nutrients are not very broad and we are on the brink of protein deficiency. Your body will let you know when it is time to take a break.

I'm on VLCD right now and maintaining my exercise. If you want to continue with fitness I'd encourage you to keep it up during the VLCD, just modify it if you find your endurance isn't as good. I'm amazed as to how I'm seeing the fat flee and leave behind beautiful muscle tone. I do weights 20-30 min M, W, F, followed by 2 aeoribic miles and on Tu, Th, Sat I do 3 aerobic miles. My average loss is still around 1/2 pound a day too. I lost 10.6 pounds in the first 13 days. That is slow for me for the first 2 weeks but GREAT considering the exercise I'm doing.

I do not weigh daily. I did for the first 8 days and was beside myself with tears and frustration because the scale bounced around a LOT. I think it is because of my exercise routine. I am sore most days. So, if you continue your work out, weighing less often might be a good decision. I'm only weighing 1 X a week at most right now. I know I'll have to weigh daily once I hit phase 3.. but if you follow the protocol strictly there really is NOT a reason to weigh daily.

Also consider that on longer rounds your weight loss will most likely slow down to 1-2 pounds a week the longer you go. You can also expect many stalls and mini gains along the way.

Have a GREAT round!!

Thank you, Shirley! My Intermountain drops arrived today!!! Do I need to keep them refrigerated? I did with the ones I mixed before so I am not sure about these?? I also ordered the Super Simple HCG book so that it might be easier to have a longer round & get closer to goal.

Yeah!!! No, no need to refrigerate the drops. Keep them in a cool, dry place. I keep mine in a cupboard.

Most hhcg does not require refrigeration. It is best to keep it away from computers & cell phones.. I've heard that the vibes from them can mess up the hhcg.

Have a super round... and variety will REALLY help!!! Check out the recipe sticky for phase 2 recipe ideas.
