CD or no CD... WWYD?

Technically I should be doing a CD today. My LDW was 128.8 lb, and today I am 131 lb (2.2 over my LDW). So... if I follow Simeons as written that would mean a CD today. But, TOM is just starting today... so, it might be from that, and a CD might not really be necessary.

I'm going back and forth in my head over what to do today... CD or no CD? High protein day? But... what does a high protein day look like?

I would love your input, and... if you suggest high protein day, could you please give me an idea of what that looks like (i.e., sample menu)?

TIA!

Yes I would do a cd. Because if you dont do it now and tomorrow youre up again you will have to start to do one after another like me which is no fun.

I probably would too, depending on a few things. Have you noticed that it's normal to gain weight before/during TOM? I average 3 pounds. But, as we get in dozens and dozens of new/good habits, doing a prompt CD is one of them that is vital.

Here's the other consideration. Your appetite trends during TOM. For me, I am ravenous the day before. I want to eat everything in site. Then when I start, my appetite recedes in a big way.

This would be my choice: Everytime I feel hungry, I'd down a big 20 oz glass of lemon water. Then I'd have a big ol' Rib Eye with a beef steak tomato sliced up. If you can't wait that long, you can split that meal between lunch and dinner.

Just my experience - YMMV

I'd do one now too. My favorite CD is a chicken thigh day (suggested by Shelby). I'd eat 6-7 chicken thighs, tons of water and coffee.

My experience has been I'm always down at least a pound (sometimes 2-3) the next day.

Do a cd, absolutely. They work better if done immediately, and as was already said doing them in serial is kind of a pain, better to avoid

Interesting question... on P3, when you're trying to stabilize, I probably would do a CD. If TOM was still keeping me from losing enough on the CD, I would do a normal P3 day and wait another day before contemplating a CD again.

On P4, unless I knew I overdid it food-wise or ate something I shouldn't have, I probably wouldn't bother with a CD during TOM. But this is also knowing full well that my body tends to gain 1-2 lbs at the onset of TOM... experience tells me this will come right back down several days later.

Thank you, ladies! I agree that a CD was in order. That's what I felt I should do so I started out doing a certain kind of CD, but couldn't stick with it (for several reasons). But, did plan out what I was going to eat for the day once I knew it wasn't going to be my planned CD (and did stick to that plan), so it ended up just being more of a high protein day.

I was down 1.4 lbs this morning, back to only 0.8 lb above LDW.

IThinkICan, I think you might have something here about the difference between P3 and P4 or even lifetime maintenance. I'm like you... usually 1-2 lbs at the onset of TOM and then I come right back down several days later. Yesterday was technically my 3rd day of P4 (did a 23 day P3 because I wanted to start P4 on Easter). Anyhow... I like this way of thinking. Thanks!

I will eat good P3 today, and then maybe back to P4 tomorrow.

And, Arctic Mama... like your new picture!
