Keeping energy up on P2
I did some research this morning. I had great energy my first week, and then about 5 days in, I ran totally out, and it's not come back.
My research showed: ~B12 ~L-Carnatine ~B vitamin complex Any other pointers? I am in serious need of energy. |

Caffeine in moderation. I had no problems with energy but did experience muscle weakness the last week of P3. Found I was tired when hauling bags of feed and had to take more rests than normal.

Hiya Red!
![]() I'd add Iron biglycinate Glutamine Make sure your B complex is a good quality B100 in capsule form. Pills generally just don't dissolve in the digestive track. Your B12 should be the methylcobalamin form as opposed to the cyanocobalamin form (more bioavailable) and it probably wouldn't hurt to take 5000mg daily. And just fyi, the L carnitine is usually in either powder form with fillers or in gel cap form with oil. Just a headsup for p2... ETA: I'm a qualified brain surgeon! Shelby - you are a pillar of support around here. Thanks! Thank you too Brigit! :-)
I'm tired in general. Not chronic fatigue - but my version would be more properly called: Frequent Fatigue. Just trying to fight my way through this P2. |

If you are having frequent fatigue you might also try DLPA in the mornings. It helps me with my adrenal fatigue.

My doctor recommended 2,000mg of B12 in the metholcobalamin form that Shelby mentioned. I also include a B complex, L-Carnitine and an hour-long walk at a casual pace. I walk at mid-afternoon when my energy is at my lowest and feel much better afterward like I got a second wind.

I use vitamin D, a B complex, and some caffeine. But honestly light workouts and lots of sleep did as much or more good.

Well, at some point last week, I was out of breath and seeing spots just going up a flight of stairs. And it wasn't the calories, it was a different feeling that was very familiar from last summer. So I started taking 2 or 3 iron pills a day. And for a couple of days now, I have been feeling better. (And I went and got some L-Carnatine yesterday too - thanks Shelby!) Yesterday I had great energy!
I had been taking the other supplements - and today I plan to go get some DLPA. (I can't tell you how much I need energy in my life!) Hopefully now I will be ushering in a new era of energetic, healthy, skinnyness!! "STRENGTH IS A MATTER OF THE MADE UP MIND" |
