P2 Fat Fat Experiment - Advice please!

I just got through my first fat fast day attempt (while on P2, taking hhcg), but I'm feeling a bit light-headed now as the day draws to a close. I consumed about 1,023 calories today, 90% fat, 5% protein, 5% carb. I tried so hard to focus on fat that I'm wondering if I underestimated my need for protein... I feel like that's what I need right now. Not that I have the desire to eat, as I'm quite full! But I just feel not right... like something is missing.

Any thoughts on what might help me? If I attempt a day 2 on this fat fast, what are some of the best ways to get protein in without it being too much? I'm thinking I may need to back off the fat percentage a little to fit in more protein... what do you think is the minimal fat percentage I should attempt for a successful fat fast?

Some of the rogue folks might be able to help you. I stuck to pretty strict Protocol on P2. Hope you get an answer!

I always include at least one chicken or tuna salad "meal" on my FF days. it's only like an ounce or two of the protein, but it seems to really help.

how did you get your carbs so high though? if I'm really high-fatting it, my carbs come in at maybe 3% at the most. not that 5% is high, mind you, but I'm curious what you ate.

Yesterday, I had some whipped cream (which is basically pure fat), cocoa crack with a teeny bit of peanut butter on it, made a little ice cream from mostly whipped cream with an egg yolk (plus cocoa, vanilla stevia & sweet n low), a cheesecake-like mixture with cream cheese and a teeny bit of peanut butter (plus vanilla stevia & sweet n low), and hot cocoa (1/4 c hwc, cocoa, hot water, vanilla stevia, & sweet n low).

Considering I had predominantly hwc at 3 out of 5 meals, that really raised my fat percentage. The little bits of peanut butter and cocoa were the sources of the carbs.

Today I did have a couple egg yolks with butter at breakfast time... and instead of just cocoa crack, I had less for a snack and added a little bacon. (Curiosity got the best of me and I tried some cocoa crack with the bacon in the same bite... I decided that carnival food concept of chocolate covered bacon probably isn't for me...) Today I'll probably come in at closer to 85%. I think. It's hard to judge how I should count the bacon, as I fear it lost some fat in the cooking process... and I don't plan on licking the pan. I will say I felt SO much better after I had that bacon. I do think a little protein goes a long way!

A chicken or tuna salad meal might work... I just wish I had some dark meat chicken because all I have in the house is chicken breast for P2 eating. I'm trying to figure out dinner right now. I'm using ground beef for my family. I don't know if I might be able to work out a really mini burger (or meatball) with mayo... a beef salad? Eww... that doesn't quite sound good... the beef part does - but I need a bit of fat with it... hmmm... can I season it Mexican style and mix it with cream cheese or sour cream? I'll have to do some more thinking and see what I've got in the kitchen.

Thanks for the suggestions!

It will be interesting to see how this works for you! I'm a strict protocol gal like Drew and so I have no good input, but if you can get the weight off, fix your metabolism, and maintain it, that's the goal however you get there

Wow! First day, I was up .7... Now after the second day, down a SOLID THREE POUNDS!!!

I'd love to stick with this one more day, but I don't think my body wants to. Tummy not great... head feeling funny... I think I need to go back to VLC today. I don't want to get my hopes up that this completely sticks, but we'll see! I'm now 2 pounds to goal, day 39... yeah... gonna go a little past 40 days this round. I really won't be surprised to see the scale go up a little bit tomorrow, but we'll hope for the best.
