WOW! You have just done a tremendous job!!! The scale is being mean to me too but I must say I am not following strict protocol like last time and it is killing me weight wise. I have been the same weight now for 4 days!!! I can not budge off of 151.0. I am blaming it all on DH! He wanted to do this round with me and I knew from the get-go there would be problems because he is not strict but he runs so any extra calories falls off of him plus he's a guy! We have gone out every day for lunch this week since he is off. It is totally screwing with my head as I have no idea how many actual calories are in the food the restaurant serves. As far as this round, I may be on much much longer than 21 days so join in whenever you can. I think I will call this week a wash and just try to do my best. Hope we can both find our focus soon! I found L-glutaminine in my cabinet so I will definitely add that in today too! Good Luck everyone!!! sorry I haven't been posting but with DH home, life has been crazier than usual. Next week I may have jury duty so that may interfere with me posting also. Keep posting! I am still here reading and being inspired to keep moving forward! |

Some do a fruit for breakfast (one of the 2 allowed ) with a starch (one of the two allowed), some only do coffee or tea for breakfast. You can do whatever works best for you but you must follow the guidelines of 2 protein, 2 starch, 2 fruit, & 2 veggies.... AND you cannot eat any 2 of the same group at one time. |

Today is LD2 for me. I gained 3.8 lbs on my first load day. :/ That's ALOT. Yikes!
VLCD starts tomorrow. I am mentally prepared, even excited, hoping my willpower cooperates! |

Had I kept the weight off and followed directions, I would probably not be taking 3 oral meds per day. Sigh. |

Then in the morning, have 1/2 of a protein with a fruit or starch... at lunch 1/2 protein with veggie, snack 1/2 protein serving with fruit or starch, dinner 1/2 protein with veggie....by doing this you are eating every 3 hours or so and may have better luck keeping your BS more consistent. Some with Type 2 find that eating the fruit & starch without the protein can be problematic. You'll have to experiment and see what works best for you.

Thank You Ladies
![]() I will keep this in mind. I will be checking my Blood sugars more often and if they get to low I will go to the Dr and see if he can just take me off completely.I would love that! It may also help with being hungry. ![]() My blood sugars have been way to high lately! And I DO NOT want to start taking insulin |
