You are the best! Thanks much for the prompt reply. I am loading starting Friday or Saturday next week (can't decide between the 2) and I am soo looking forward to eating all the sweeties that I've been missing! I am even confused about what to eat in that 2 days window --but I think these 2 have no escape: orange scone from Au Bon Pain and deep fried plantains . Then maybe a good croissant with cheese for breakfast and some kind of good cake --That should do it.

Can you believe yesterday I enjoyed the GY to the point I thought about using it as my LD?? It's full of fat anyway... but I will skip and give my swet tooth a full satisfaction --I hope I will not end up with 5lbs more in 2 days

You are sticking around on this board on your P2 --right? I am!

Lara, hhcg lowcarb & Natasha- Woo Hoo!!!! Successful Cd's! Great job ladies!

Theresa- sorry your going back up! I'd drive 100 miles too if would get me to TJ!

Luv is- Welcome to P3!!! I agree, much harder than P2. You'll find your groove, just take it SLOW! I ate P2 foods the first 3 days with bigger portions and added fat. Just upping calories by 250 a day until I hit 2000. I didn't eat cheese until day 10 and nuts were about day 15, and I've done very well. YMMV

hhcg- I used IM drops & pellets, loved them both

I over slept this morning so just now getting here, and I woke up with a cold- BOO! That's ok, it's nice and quiet with no children here! I was +.6 today, no biggie as I'm exactly 2 below LDW.
I added almond butter & walnuts yesterday, yummy!

Hope your all having a nice day! I'm off now until Tuesday! Hope to try some new recipes over the weekend.

Theresa --I just submitted my order! UPS way was cheaper and to be shipped in 1 day! Should I expect to receive the package Saturday? That would be great! Actually it was much cheaper than what I paid for 2 bottles of BioGenesis ($136!). For the Pallets (1oz) --it was $32.94with shipping included! I hope this brand will work as well as BioGenesis brand!

Thank Theresa! My throat's been bad for 2 days, but I kept telling myself it was allergies. No such luck! Oh well, could be much worse.

Have you added any nuts or nut butters yet?

I'm in the 4th week of p4 and maintaining without any problems. I still stay low carb though. I do gain easily if I try anything with starch or sugar. I haven't been counting calories or carbs. Just eating the low carb foods I enjoy.

I'm wondering if I should've added more carbs during p4. I know that they make me gain but how else is this supposed to work where our metabolism gets reset so we don't have to be so restrictive anymore?

I actually like the low carb lifestyle but I sure would like to have some watermelon, plums, cherries, grapes and oranges in their respective seasons. I also would like to have some sourdough bread every now and then or popcorn while watching a movie just once in a while. I don't think that's too much too ask.

I see skinny people all the time eating out and enjoying all different foods without giving a thought to what consequence it might have and apparently they can eat what they want and there are no consequences. My mother is that way, my sisters are that way. Why do I have to be concerned with every morsel and cooking method? I just want to be normal.

Thanks for letting me vent. I will be starting my next round in about a week. My daughter is going to start her 2nd round also, so she is spending the weekend with me and we will load togother with one all out fat fest.

Last time I loaded I got myself so sick. I will try to pace myself better this time around.

Felina - I'm looking at trying JUDDD. There's a thread here on LCF. No foods are off limits in JUDDD although some do keep it pretty LC. I cannot wait to try it and use it as a method of loss then maintaining for the rest of my life!

Day 14 and I'm up .5 to 1 lb above LDW...Still no Bernice in at least 3-4+ days. Where do I get the smooth move tea? I am getting some tonight. How long do I have to stay in before it works?

Good morning ladies! It is the end of my second week in P3 and the grades do not look motivating overall I never cheated and had one CD in WK2.

WK1: +0.8
WK2: +1.0
The above leaves me with only -0.2lb from my LDW

Bernice is also no where to be found for the last 3 days and I've been taking smooth tea every single day

But I am hanging in there and see what this week-end will bring as I will have plenty of time to rest and relax.... I am so looking forward to my 2nd round starting extactly in a week

Happy Friday to all of you ladies

Starting P2 in the next few days??

Ladies --I know Tiffany, Theresa and I are starting our P2 again within the next few days -anybody else?

Theresa and I: Intermountain Pallets
Tiffany: ??
Anybody else:??

Let's help each other to figure out what works better and sharing tips for another successful P2 so that we can also help out sisters starting after us.

I have a question... I got so tired of home made salad dressing that is based on balsamic vinegar --any suggestion of a o sugar/calorie/carb that I can use that worked for you w/o interferring with the weight loss/HCG? PLEASE share!
I was thinking about using Walden Farms stuff but may are opposed to it --any better suggestion?

Thanks ladies!

I'm back up again, I dont know whats going on, I'm going to attempt to barracade myself in the house this weekend clean like crazy, sleep and do 3 steak days in a row. I've been very stressed and havent been sleeping well. I think I'm teetering in a previous "set point" and I'm yo-yoing up and down this is maddening! I will not go out to eat. I will not let anyone talk me into changing my plan(I might break it up with a GY day cuz I'm getting sick of steak) I am doing this.

Hi !!! I agree with you Felina! I took a look at the glycemic index of fruits and surprisingly cherries and prunes are fairly low.It says "Low GI foods have a GI value of 55 or below, while medium GI foods have a GI between 56 and 69 and high GI foods have a GI above 70."

The most surprising to me was cherries!
Berries
Fresh strawberries have a low GI of 40. Wild blueberries also have a low GI, at 53. Add berries to your oatmeal for a low glycemic breakfast.
AppleThe GI value of apples is low and varies between 28 and 44. Dried apple has a low GI of 29 and unsweetened apple juice has a GI of 39 to 44. Choose fresh apples to boost your fiber intake.
PearFresh pear have an average GI value of 38. Canned pears, in their own juice, have a GI of 44. Have a pear for your snack, along with almond butter for a low glycemic snack.
OrangeFresh oranges have an average GI of 32, but it ranges between 31 and 51 depending on the variety. Orange juice has a GI of 52. Choose fresh fruits over juices to meet your fiber requirement.
CherriesCherries have a very low GI of 22. Snack on cherries when watching a good movie for a satisfying and healthy low glycemic treat.
PeachFresh peaches have a GI of 42, while peaches canned in light syrup have a GI of 52. Make a peach crumble, without adding any sugar and using old-fashioned oat flakes, for a healthy low-glycemic dessert. Serve with a dollop of plain yogurt.
PlumsPlums have an average GI of 39. Two to three ripe plums are a delicious way to end your meal with a touch of sweetness that won't compromise your blood sugar levels.
GrapefruitRaw grapefruits have a very low GI, with a GI value of 25. Grapefruit are a good way to start the day. For a low glycemic breakfast, have a mushroom and spinach omelet with your grapefruit.
KiwifruitKiwifruits have a low GI of 53. Kiwifruits are a convenient fruit to carry with you in case of a snack attack. Don't forget to carry a spoon and if you get hungry, just dig in.
PrunesPitted prunes have an average GI of 29. Use pureed prunes in your favorite baked goods recipe to replace part of the fat and sugar. This substitution works very well with brownies and make a tasty low glycemic chocolate treat.

As for the scale... we are in the same boat! I do not know what it is going on but that is motivating me even more to get into P2 again. I am starting to count the days (7 more days before my LD).

Perfect! We will keep helping each other! What salad dressing do you recommend in P2 other than balsamic vinegar? I am so tired of it :-(

Is that 0.2 above LDW or w.i the 2+lbs window? I'm a bit confused. We're supposed to stay +/- 2lbs from LDW. If you're 0.2 above your LDW you're rocking it!! Celebrate and enjoy!! In window it all good in my book. Our bodies need to fluctuate, it's totally normal!!

Excited for all for you starting again soon!! Happy losing!! I'm going to hang in maintenance for a while. I may do another round in July/August if I get vain. Until then I'm enjoying my size 6's, running and eating!! . In fact, yesterday I didn't really pay attention much at all. Has some of dd's vanilla ice cream, some choc. almonds, a few cadbury mini eggs -like cryptonite!!, and am down a bit today!! But I think my body has accepted this range as "normal" now. When I overdo, I will correct. But I'm in week 3 of P4 (I think) and really content!! Finally a bit of peace in my weightloss journey!!

Happy Weekend!!

Hello Julie!
I am over my LDW by 1.8lbs (that's why I said I have only -0.2 room to play with). I think the gain today was due to lack off sleep --that gets me!

Any idea in regard to acceptable salad dressing in P2? Starting P2 soon and I am tired of Balsamic vinegar :-(

P2 dressings

This one looks good... I will try to play with some ginger this weekend and see what I can come up with.

GINGER DRESSING
Yield: 4 servings
1/2 Cup White Vinegar
2 Packets Sweetener
1/4 Cup Braggs Amino Acids
1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
1/4 Cup Water
2 Tbsp Minced Ginger
Mix all ingredients and let set for about an hour.
Approx. 25 cals per serving

RASPBERRY VINAIGRETTE
2 tablespoons raspberry vinegar (there are brands available with no sugar,
make sure you read labels)
1/8 teaspoon salt
Freshly ground pepper to taste
Whisk vinegar, salt and pepper in a small bowl.
Drizzle over salad greens or chicken.
You can also make your own raspberry vinegar by putting a few
raspberries in vinegar of your choice and letting it sit in
the refrigerator overnight or for a couple of days.

Thanks but the problem is... I don't want anything vinegar :-( I was hoping to hear about something close to Walden Farmers dressings etc... By the end of my P2, I was done with vinegar based dressings!! I guess I may be stack with that for another 30 days!!! not motivating. Other than that, I like the simplicity of menus/food in P2 (no brainer to me).

Felina- great job with all the phases! You are obviously doing something right. I agree with your observations on skinny people. Maybe we are the normal ones and they are just darn lucky!
Carbs will never be "free" for me. Best of luck on your round to you and your daughter. How nice to have her joining you. My 20 yr old would like to do it too, but I keep telling her not a good idea. I do think she could lose if she made some adjustments in her "college" eating habits. She doesn't necessarily gain on carbs, just continued bad choices tin types and amounts of foods. I'm afraid she'd become sensitive to carbs, sugars, and salts and have bigger problems. Really, I just don't want her to struggle like I have. Enjoy your load!

Natasha- still doing great! I'm curious about JUDD too, but worry about controlling myself on up days.

hhch lowcarb- your in your window, this is exactly what's supposed to happen! Your doing great! Enjoy your last week of P3, then rock P2 again!

Lara- hope your "plans" work for the weekend. Sorry your having to fight so hard this time. You have always been such an inspiration for everyone on this board! Hope it settles down soon.

Theresa- up again! No advice here, sorry! I think I'd just make good choices this weekend, your loading Mon & Tues right? Just ride it out, if you gain it's gonna come right back off. Prayers your next round goes well and stabilize like a rock!
Good luck on the house selling!

Julie- glad you found some peace in the journey!
I'm not there yet, but hope to be soon.

Lara- thanks, I'm not going anywhere! Must stay here to hold myself accountable!

I agree and hope anyone that want's to continue in this thread should stay. Regardless of what phase you a are in. All this talk of another round!
I wish you all great success in doing it. I hope I never have to again. I would love to drop a few more but if I make it through P4, and exercise without big gains, I'll be happy and try to do it by reducing calories a little. Think I would be too scared to do another round and possibly not stabilize. So far this has been the best yet and I'm not that big of a risk taker!

I'm up +.2 today, still -1.8 below LDW. Happy & content! May test the P4 water this weekend, just depends on how I feel. Still sick, feel worse and can barely swallow my throat hurts so bad. If it gets better, I will have that mexican food, if not, I'll wait.

Hope you ladies enjoy your Friday!

You could substitute for lemon... instead of vinegar...lemme see what I can come up with on that...

Hey Tonya did you know they have sugar free chloraseptic throat spray that will numb your soreness? Grape isnt bad.
