I'm really nervous for tomorrow's weigh-in. I sneaked a peek at the scale tonight, and it's not pretty!! Just drinking a ton of water hoping some of it is water retention. It has to be...I truly only ate about 1000 cals for the day.

Ugh, I knew when I should have stopped.

Hey girls!! I've had a fun Easter day of eating!! Love that Cadbury!! I know I'm in for a CD tomorrow and that'll work out well given how many hard boiled eggs I have!! All good. And so worth it. First holiday in years I really enjoyed it. Then went for a run. all good

Hope you're all doing well. Been out all day so I'll have to catch up.

Lynne-that water you drank weighs a lot. You'll process it overnight and be fine in the morning .

I ate everything. I totally lost control at our family dinner. GAH. after I get to the lowest weight I've been in ages, my brain just freaked out, I guess. I'm really annoyed with myself, defeated, and worried about the scale.

julie, your easter sounds great!

lynne, never weigh yourself at night! you still have the day hanging off you.

ugh, here's to a better week. better than today, anyway! I'm supposed to stop dosing on wednesday.

Well I can't believe my eyes! I wasn't even going to weigh for a few days because I ate a LOT yesterday. All low carb, but a LOT. But today I got up and kind of took a check of myself and thought, well I don't seem bloated or anything, so what the heck. And I had lost 5 lbs! Five! I looked again to be sure!

Not at all sure why, and not sure it'll stick, but

(one for each pound)

I feel kind of bad posting that! I hope everybody's scales are kind today!

I just posted on the last thread. was wondering if I screwed up by not taking hcg when loading. How important is it to do that? Should i wait to start and load another day w/ drops??? thank u

Sandy, my understanding is that with hhcg it's not as critical to take the drops when loading, but it helps with the hunger the first few days. If you can tough it out, just start!!

Well, yesterday cost me a day of progress, plus .4 lb. I won't do that again!! But, I'm not going to let it derail me, either! Today is a nice, fresh day, so I'll just go right back to what I've been doing.

I am officially packing it in. Took my last injection this morning. I'm down the elusive half pound today -- hope it sticks this time. If it does, then my total loss equals 9 lbs. for this 27 day round. Pretty disappointing, as when I did this 4 years ago, I was 20 lbs. lighter than now and lost to below goal in 23 days. Ah well, nothing to be gained by complaining about it -- what is, is.

The good thing is I've reduced basal insulin by a third and that should continue during P3.

Diva -- thank you for the suggestion of getting a pregnancy test. I'll get one for use the next time I do this. I have one vial of HCG left.
Goddess -- you are doing great! Keep up the good work.
Wannabethin -- welcome back. I know you will be successful. Some docs who have rogue plans do not advocate loading at all, so I think if you are willing to handle a bit of hunger in the first few days, you'll be OK.
Cheryl -- I sure hope this day at the stables will go easier than Saturday. At least you are getting lots of good exercise in.
Pendraggin-- Great going on the weight loss! You are obviously doing something right.
Julie -- Glad you had a great feast yesterday. Aren't correction days wonderful? Sin one day and be redeemed the next!
Star -- Going facedown in a plate is common to all of us. Just do a correction day and keep on keeping on. If you experience a weight gain, can you extend P2 out a bit to compensate? And congrats on being at your lowest weight.

Have a great day, folks.

Brigit, I think it's common to lose less as we go through each subsequent diet (or round)...also, unfortunately, we're each a bit older each time, so there's that.

I'm really looking to shore up my commitment, which is high right now! I keep reminding myself that my 50th birthday is only 5 months away!! I have my cute dress, shorts and bikini hanging on my closet door, I see them many times a day! I wore all these things well at 145, so they will be even cuter at 140!! It's tempting to try to ride the wave even lower, but I'm going to wait and see how the magical reshaping of hhcg works before I think about lowering my goal. I have an entire closet of clothes waiting for me!!

Getting ready to hit it with the Chalean Extreme in a few minutes! Even after only a week (3 workouts) I'm feeling better and stronger. I feel it mostly in my back, I get a bit of a backache from sitting when I don't exercise - what does that mean?

I've also renewed my commitment to my self-tanner, lol!! I really feel so much better when I have a bit of color on my skin, but I have neither the time nor the inclination to get a real suntan. I have so many sun damage spots on my arms, and some on my chest and face as well from extreme tanning in my 20's, so it's the bottle for me!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

So far not too bad for everyone! Up .4 is not much for the day after a holiday, and down half a pound is at least down.

I understand though disappointment at only nine pounds throughout the round. Hopefully though you've set something in motion which will continue as you move to P3.

Just checking in... definitely seem to have some missing people here. Hopefully Mini and Paula will check in soon! Hi to all

And to Wannabethin... YES... you are supposed to take your drops during loading, as it takes 2 days for it to build in your system. Otherwise, it will not be working when you start the VLCD....

Hi girls!!

Brigit- I totally understand. I've had 2 rounds like that. But, at least you're down. I hope you have an easy P3/P4 and can lock it in while enjoying yummy foods!!

I'm up 3.4lbs overnight but it was fun!! I knew it would happen, and actually could have been much worse (been known to gain 5+lbs in a day before). This time I planned it, chose it, enjoyed and will now remove it . All eggs today!! I really hope it works. The last CD I did (GY) didn't work well. And last round my egg CD didn't work at all. But I have SOOOO many eggs to use up. I'll give it a whirl. If it doesn't work I'll do Steak CD on Wed. Sigh.

I've got 2-3 weeks to completely pack up my 3200sf house!! So, I will still pop in from time to time, but my computer time has to be where I cut back to make this move happen. I'll be around, but not as often . I'll be thinking of you all and wishing you well!! Keep up the good work!!

So you got the house????? I missed that post with all the computer trouble I've had the past two days. OMG!!! Are you excited??? I have 3 weeks to move, too. I have only 1728 sq ft but also the basement items and attic items. I guess it averages out to be about 1400 sq ft. Holy Toledo!! Yea Julie!!!

BC, Nice Personals!! You're due for "packing it in." Who knows why one round is better than another! Are you Thyroid impaired now and not before? Hormones? Stress? Who knows? The female body. It's a total mystery and all we can do is ride it out!

That's awesome about the insulin!!!! Now there is something to celebrate!

Lynne, I'm closing in on 50, too. I'll be 50 on August 1 so I have a little time on you. Does that make you feel any younger? Good! Skinny clothes are something that have just become part of an ever-on-going dream. If I ever get my **** together, I'll make that dream a reality.

Fake tans! That's what I need, too. I have some of that stuff too, but it's a few years old and I don't know if I can trust it. Orange city!

I don't know how to say all this without cursing but I've done my second day at the horse farm. I've put in almost 13 hours with only about 15 minutes of "break time" and I'm no richer. It is not going to be profitable at least until next week.

I am just exhausted after each day that I do there and I realize that once I'm in the zone of actually working, I'll only be doing a full day on Sunday and then about 2-3 hours in the afternoon on Wednesday or Thursday. But right now, being in "orientation", I'm working my tail off.

I did 6.5 hours on Saturday then did another 6.25 hours today. That's nearly 13 hours in 72 hours and I'm freaking TIRED. So tired that when the woman came to talk with me as I was finishing up the last of the 13 stalls I mucked, I was completely open with her. I talked about the hourly rate (turns out it's not hourly, but an average.)

I talked to her about the sheer "volume" of work for one person compared to what we do with volunteers at the therapy place. Didn't sway her a bit. I told her that after working Saturday and driving home, and walking into the store, I felt like "I'd been beaten by a 2x4." Didn't raise an eyebrow.

This is common to all horse people! The fact that I'm nearly 50 and out of shape and fat is no skin off their nose! Do it or don't. Give up or go forward. It's all the same to them.

So I went home feeling in despair and I did as much soul-searching as I could before I called/emailed/texted anyone about my feelings. I wanted to weigh the pros and cons.

Finally I emailed the woman (texted) and told her that I didn't want to give up. Told her that I would come again on Thursday afternoon to "watch and take notes" then work a full day on Sunday with Sarah, "doing half the work and taking notes." Then on the following Wednesday, I'd be working on my own for pay.

She wrote back and said she was happy and she'd see me on Thursday. We'll see how closely she read my texts. I meant what I said.

Took my pellets last night, took them again this morning, haven't take the afternoon ones yet. It's after 6 pm. I'm behind schedule. Oh freakin' well.

I wish I had enough energy to actually go into details about today. I just don't!!! Maybe later.

Love you all!!!!

Amen, honey! All this wisdom is going to "waste" over here. The horses will appreciate my wisdom, though.

Being single + autonomous has its advantages. I used to reflect on those thungs when I was married, miserable and wishing I had made different choices.

Does anybody know if the mods have tried to contact paula?

I'm up 4 lbs this morning. I guess my pig-out Easter has hit me. Ah vell. Still one lb off from Saturday.

Cheryl, your day does sound verrry tiring. At least you have today and tomorrow at home. Or do you go to the therapy barn?

Whoa Nellie! Do you mean you are not being paid for orientation?!?!? If so, that is just plain not right! You may be learning but you are still working. I know you need a job, but please consider what is good for your body. (Sorry if I'm coming on too strong--I just get rankled when someone is being used.)

Glad you are back on the pellets, but do you think you can manage P2 with work as hard as you describe? I know I've begun to experience some muscle weakness -- had problems yesterday hauling sacks of feed and had to rest more than usual. At any rate, please take good care of yourself.

First day of no injection. We'll have to see how it goes. I was down a half pound this morning -- and I decided I'll take it! I'm not going to try and lose weight on P3, but if it happens, it happens.

Goddess: Having clothes hanging as motivation is great. Good luck on the exercise -- I couldn't do it in P2.
Pendraggin: You'll lose the Easter blip quickly. Often the weight shows up on the second morning after an indulgence -- doesn't seem fair does it?
Julie: Congrats on the house and upcoming move. I hope you are excited!

Have a great day everyone!

1 lbs. down...back on track!

Cheryl, I agree with Brigit, please take care of your health!! I understand an "internship" training situation, but seems more like "trial by fire".

Brigit, so far the exercise feels fine! I am watching the scale closely, and I definitely started back to it with lower weights than I used to use. I'm not going to aggressively increase my weights, just wait and see.

So last night I had HUGE food dreams!! Does that happen to any of you? I was at someone's home, and I was eating some kind of Mexican food!! Nom, nom, nom!! I half-expected to see the scale go up this morning!!

Hunger seems well under control now.

OK today is my official D1P2! I loaded with drops as suggested and ready to hopefully do a 21 day round and lose my final 10! I'm using different drops this round, so hopefully they will work as well as my other ones.
have a great day!

have a great day!
Yay for starting!! which drops are you using this time? Which ones before? I'm always curious...over the months I've developed a "mental list" of what people like. I'm using Intermountain pellets from Netrition this time, mostly for the convenience. And, they seem to be working fine. Last year I used yavonae (based on Mini's success with them) and they were great. The problem then was that I didn't do any form of P3 and regained everything.

Just read some stuff, they have a nice site! I wasn't able to locate a way to view the label. Good prices!

Hey girls just a quick pop in.

Cheryl-yep we got the house!! It's a blessing but I'm having a bit of a hard time getting excited about it just yet. It'll be quite a financial improvement (almost $500 less a month) and a good location. The pool will be great this summer. But, it's so much smaller!! I tend to use any space available and will now have to get tid of lots of stuff. Sigh. So much work and hassle!! Ugh! Oh well. It's gotta' happen. So off I go. Back to packing . Hoe our move goes well!!

Hi all!!

I was bad, bad bad, over Easter/Steve's birthday. Scale is up to 157!!! Yikes!!! Did a correction day, half assed, yesterday. Blowing off another correctin day and looking forward to loading. I knew I was going to blow my P3/P4 because of the trip, so next round I will really be good and do P3 and P4 correctly!!

I am going to hypnosis on Friday. I want them to make me follow protocol as I am going to start drops again tomorrow. I have a bottle of HhCG drops in the fridge. The hormone implant should be wearing off by now, so I hope for better luck this round.

Steve and I are planning another trip, but this time to Peru!!! to Machu-Picchu. I will have to get in shape for that as there is a lot of hiking at altitude!!

It really helps to have goals to look toward. Plus the pics from Belize show I still have plenty of weight to lose. Discounting the profile pic, which is one of the better shots. LOL.

Hopping on board! Steve will be gone 8 days, so I have time to get a good start on a solid round without temptations of eating out!!

Hope to catch up later. My life is so full right now. I am grateful to have the health and energy to pursue all these things. Love to all and white light of healing for our weight issues to all here!!!!!!

*pokes head in*

I've posted here on and off and last time I was here, a year ago, we ended up without Internet for a while (hence, the failure to update). I ended up losing a ton of weight, keeping it off...until I went on vacation. Now, it's back to square one, but I'm motivated again and trying to change the way I think about vacations (always have been my dieting downfall). Currently, I'm on VLCD 3 of round 2.

I don't know if anyone remembers me, but it's nice to see some familiar faces.
