Well, my first P3 day was "interesting" to say the least! I roasted a wild hog fresh ham and a chicken. Took the chicken out first and just started nibbling whilst standing at the stove -- first the wings, then the drumsticks. It was delish! When the roast was done I pulled off the top fat layer and ate that -- the dog insisted on having his part, so I didn't get it all! Then later I moved onto the Lynn's chocolate. Other than a couple of handfuls of mulberries off the tree in the afternoon and a half dozen raw snow peas right off the plants, all I ate was protein and fat. Oh, my! Today I will mend my wicked ways and eat more balanced, but fresh fat was so good after a month of not having any.

The electric week wacker died yesterday so I'm off to town to buy another one. This time I'm spending a bit more money and getting one with a more powerful engine and stouter string, as they tend to last me until just out of warranty. Then I'll probably spend an hour or so getting some exersize in the weed patch! I'll check back in later and read of all your successes!
Yum! Wild hog? Texas? Is this something you shot yourselves? I have heard of the wild hog epidemic down there. I don't hear anything "wicked" about that menu. Veggies and berries right off the plant? Life is good.

I got a Grass Hog electric trimmer. I did some shopping and review reading and chose that one. It's a good unit.

Nothing special happening today, coffee, exercise, work, home. Should be a very busy day at work, which makes me happy!! (busy=$)
Non-loss days always suck, don't they? They happen to all of us. Stay happy and stay the course!

Nice! Congrats!

Still struggling with computer virus's or something very very bad. I am about to just buy another laptop. I don't have the money for that so this is truly testing the limits of what I can stand and trouble-shoot. It's driving me bonkers!!!

Cheryl, I have a printout with a really good site that goes through different free programs to use, with links, and in which order to use them. I'm still at work but when I get home I'll find it and post.

THANK YOU, PLUM! I'm about at my wits' end. But I keep trying this and trying that. I finally (lastly) just ran the Malware anti-malware software and it never seems to catch anything that the others I also run, so I just deleted the darn software. Who knows what will have been the right move in the end, but as long as I can get my computer back to where it is actually a help rather than a hinderance, I'll be happy.

You may already know this site Cheryl, and also whatever is wrong may not respond to anything here, but our tech person for the libraries gave me this site a while back. Maybe it's worth a try.

Thank you, Plum! I am actually experiencing my first good night on the computer in a week. I wish I could say the same for my typing! I'm out of practice with having no responsive keyboard for so long! Anyway, I'm done for the night.

Whatever was wrong with my computer has finally been "released" and my trying has now been resolved. At least for tonight. I have had a very ****** day and I now have a $500 deposit in cash for the hot tub. I have listed it as "SOLD"!

.4 down...I'll take it!!

I keep reminding myself that some diets only have the potential for 1-1.5 lbs. a week, so I'm still doing just fine!!

No deep thoughts this morning, just keeping my mantra in my head, dose and eat, dose and eat.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend of fun and weight-release!! Still keeping our absent ladies in my heart!!

After my fat feast on Thursday, I behaved myself a bit better yesterday -- more veggies and leaner meat. Was up 1/2 lb! Still well in the window, but geesh! I eat every bit of fat in site and then some and lose a pound, then eat a good balanced P3 menu and gain! I sometimes wonder about this crazy bod of mine! She do love her fat!

Oh yes, life is good. I didn't trap the hog myself. I now live in town so get creative with obtaining game. Ranchers around here trap them and often call the meat processors to see if they have a customer who wants one. I took a Christmas cake to the good folks at our local game processor, and since then they make sure I stay in wild game. It costs me $75.00 per deer or hog to get processed -- that usually ends up less than $2.00 a pound, and the hogs are often corn fed as they raid the feeders. The latest haul was a couple of pheasants from a game preserve near here. People fly in from all over to hunt and many times don't keep the game.

That's what I ended up with, but had to order from Amazon as I couldn't find anything around here that was powerful enough. The one I ordered is a 7.2 amp motor with dual string, so should be powerful enough for these Texas weeds.

I'm glad your computer is better, Cheryl! I don't think that's the site I was thinking of, I'll have to dig some more and find the other print out. But the MalWareBytes link is a good one.

I've been very rebellious this week and as a result am up two lbs, but I think I needed that little break. Dinner with aunts, uncles, cousins, mother, brother and Husband tonight. Will be pretty good as far as low-carb goes - at least that's the intention - and then back to being more strict tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a good day on whichever plan they're following!

Dazy, I hope JUDDD treats you right. I'm not on any plan and haven't been able to do anything but bob up and down in the 70's. It is what it is for right now. The move is underway and I am dealing with emotions (as well as terrible allergies from disturbing dust.)

That seems like a great deal you've got going with the processor. WTG! I think I bought mine online, too. I love to receive stuff in the mail and never have to bother with actually shopping. If they offer free shipping, how can you beat that?

Texas weeds! We all know that everything is bigger in TX so good luck with your Grass Hog. I'm showing my Lawn Boy mower to my landlord tomorrow. I am not excited at all to have her come to my home that is in foreclosure. Would prefer to talk her out of coming to see it but she wants to check the mower out. I'll just have to get over it.

Computer isn't fixed yet. It behaves and then it doesn't. I get alerts (audio ones) that are normally followed by a little pop-up on the screen to tell me what it's beeping at me about. This past week, it just beeps and never shows any reason. Then I get this message saying "windows virtual memory is too low. Please wait while we increase you memory." It never seems to be working cause the message comes several times a day.

I hate computers when they are being bad. Mine is on the old-side. I bought it about 5 years or so ago and it was a reconditioned one at that. Just don't have the cash to go wild and buy a new laptop and a new tv. I plan to buy a tv that looks like the rectangular flat screens that are all the rage now. I think I can eek out enough money for one of those.

Have a nice day, ladies. Back to work!

Dazygirl -- good luck on JUDDD. I tried it and really liked it, but it is not for diabetics (as I quickly found out).

Penddraggin -- Can't remember if you are on P2 or P3, but I think all of us need a break from time to time. You'll get back on the wagon when your body is good and ready to!

Cheryl -- a computer repair shop could wipe your computer of any virus/ trojan then re-install your programs for you at a much more reasonable price than getting a new one. Around here that costs betwen $50 - 75. Since you've been having problems for this long, you might want to consider that route.

I've decided that I suck at P3! I liked the discipline of P2 and have a set amount of food to eat each day. On P3 I've been grazing all day -- never a good idea for me, even if the foods are "legal". My plan of gradually building up the calories has not worked! I think when I get back from my trip I'm going back on P2 for 3 weeks, then try this P3 business again.

I found an off-shore pharmacy that is still selling Rx hCG, so am going to order 3 vials just in case I'll need them later. I have one left, but it never hurts to have some in reserve, and it's cheap enough, even with shipping.

Now, I've got to finish my sermon for tomorrow (not that I ever wait until the last moment!)

Melanie, my thoughts and prayers are with you, dear. We are here no matter what you decide.

My round is going WELL!! Had hypnosis on Friday. She gave me a tape to bring home and play while I sleep as well! I went away with girlfrinds overnight Friday night and stuck to plan pretty darn well. Tah dah! When I got home, late afternoon weight is DOWN almost 3 pounds from loading high weight of 158.!!

Have been reading the thread about the last 10 pounds to be lost and whether to use HCG to do that. Well, I have another 20 pounds to lose and I felt my metabolism was "fixed." However, my eating issues were not FIXED. So, I decided to do another round since I had HhCG on hand and I want to see if HhCG can take me back to the 140's. Whatever I lose this round, I lose. Ultimately, I'd like to reach 135, but if I could break into the 140's I would be amazed and thrilled. Not stressed about it, everything I lose from here is bonus imho!!! In the meantime, I'm working on eating, self sabotage and self esteeem issues with hypnosis. We shall see.

My biggest fear is I will not keep the weight off once I lose it; that it will creep back on. Despite what Dr. S. says, I dont think my body will ever tolerate carbs or eating like a "normal" person. I am going to have to always avoid carbs and sugar. I just need to realize that and be ready for it once the last round ends. Opinions and varied results from successful maintainers welcome!!

I had two mini donuts with dipping sauces. and if I go up in weight, they'll have been worth it: that's how good they are. hahaha! I have those ones maybe twice a year.

Sermon? For real or just an expression? Tell me more. I might do that if I can't figure this dang computer stuff out myself. But things I have on the computer are some things I bought online and so I will lose those programs. And the laptop lid is literally hanging by a thread. Once I took it carefully into the kitchen to use it to view a recipe as I cooked and for a day or two, the screen was "pink" and finally it got back to normal. Pink was not cool.

That's so wonderful, Sue! I agree that sometimes we just have to admit to ourselves that we are sensitive to carbs and limit those foods or eliminate them for all time. I try to eat "like a normal person" and I just can't. Still I try, bound and determined to be "normal" and "in control." I hope the hypnosis helps you!!!

Star, I'm sorry that P3 is challenging for you so far. It's so dang hard to loosen the reigns! Why can we do so well when we are dieting but lose all control when we try to eat in a way that would allow us to maintain?????

Donuts and dipping sauces sound like the wrong way to go! Once or twice a year indeed!

I'm tired. I got stuff done today but not all that much. My allergies have been going berserk with all the disruption of dust around here. If I leave things alone, I'm fine. Soon as I start to clean, all hell breaks loose. My nasal passages are excoriated from all the blowing and draining today. No, it's not pretty, but it's true.

I can't stop spending and I can't stop eating. I'm completely out of control right now. I can't stick to a budget to save my life and I'm eating without a care in the world. I don't know if it's because I know my time of being care-free is coming to a rapid end or what. When I'm paying $900/month, the party is literally "over."

Nite, my lovelies!

Well I seem to have ventured into the rogue way of hcg, so I thought I would join you all. I'm on Round 2.5 (gained back 90% of round 1, attempted round 2 and failed after a week). This round I started back the end of January - which suddenly seems like a long time! LOL I took a week break in Feb while I was out of town and didn't follow P3 at all, I think I gained 8 or 10lbs but thats gone now plus an additional 25 or so.

I WAS planning to stop this round April 20th and do 3 weeks of P3 before I go on a road trip with my daughter. But, after almost 2 weeks of stalling, I finally started losing again, and I think its helped I've added some extra fat in my diet the last few days, (down 1lb, then 2lbs last night!). Im still keeping my calories low, but have added in some sour cream and today a tiny bit of cream cheese (another experiment). I also had 1 almond each day (so dangerous!!)

So I'm wondering from those who have gone through multiple rounds... do you think as long as I am strict in P3 and maintain well, that 2 weeks should be enough to stabilize well enough? I expect to gain a little on vacation, its 12 days, but 5lbs is better than 15! I might lose 5 more pounds by doing that extra week, which would be more cushion. Or do you think that I'll need the 3 weeks worth to accomplish stabilizing?? When I come back from that 12 day trip I'll have just about 8 days to correct as much as possible before doing another 10 day trip that will be in Orlando and Vegas (so not really going to be dieting their either!). I do plan on starting another round right after July 4th if I've gained more than expected, otherwise I'll wait until later in the summer if I stabilize fine.

I'm hoping that adding in things these last days like the sour cream and cream cheese and an almond here and there will help when I up the amount of those things in P3 (dont worry I'll be very careful with the almonds!). I'll back off if I see a gain, but so far losses have been higher!

What do you all think??

Good morning, all. Woke up at 4 and couldn't get back to sleep. And its a Sunday yet! My day to sleep in past 5am.

Cheryl -- if the screen is falling off your computer, perhaps it is a time for a new one. I've had really good experiences with purchasing from 199Computers. They have an E-Bay presence as well as their own website. Great products at good prices and excellent customer service. I was serious about the sermon as I preach once a month. The congregation is small -- 20-25 -- so they can't afford a full time minister.

Sasseaux -- You rock! I read the same thread you mentioned. I've decided the HCG is the only way to go to get those last few pounds off. I did not read anything in Simeons that said otherwise. I kept the weight off the first go around for 3+ years, but then derailed myself. But if I can manage for 3 years, then I can manage forever.

Star -- Great going at nipping the cheat in the bud. You will do great on P3!

Jess -- Welcome to the dark side! Our bodies all react differently, but I think if I were in your shoes and beginning to lose again, I'd go the extra week and have a short P3. I'm not sure I completely buy into the stabilization affect of P3. I've seen too many folks do a very clean P3 and still struggle with gaining. Perhaps you could exersize some restraint on vacation so as to limit the amount gained? Remember Dr. S's rule about taking the scale along -- if that is possible it should help you not to go overboard. (Although this is coming from someone who tends to throw caution to the wind whilst on holiday. )

Have a great day, folks!

Just wondering if you gals might give me suggestions for lunches to take to work. I usually will do chicken in a can or tuna. What veggies/salads do you eat with your protein? Also could you please share some of your typical L/D menus? So far I've made tureky and cabbage caserole, that was delish, chili, chicken soup with cabbage and celery. Tonight I'm making Garlic Shrimp. I would love some more ideas.

Happy losses!!!!

Hello ladies!!
Just checking in! It seems that everyone is doing well with their losses, WTG!
Star, I totally would have cheated for mini donuts. But stopping at 2? Couldn't do that! Good job!
Sandy, do you mix your veggies? Taco salad is wonderful for lunch or dinner - seasoned beef on lettuce with alittle tomato and onion. I used to eat a lot of P2 chili also.
Where is Mini?
Melanie, glad to see you back and hope things look up for you soon. *hugs*

I was 134.4 yesterday morning after eating PIZZA HUT! WTH! That is my lowest EVER. I am a freaking anamoly this P3 - I have eaten absolute JUNK and have been losing! Hey, not complaining though. It's strange though because my last P3 I gained crazy amounts of weight over little cheats - now its like a Free For All!
I did not weigh this morning because I went to a birthday party yesterday - ate 'ok' until I had ice cream cake. Even if I'm up I'm okay with it, considering I planned to stabilize at 136 this week. Starting P2 tomorrow again for these last few pounds.

Happy Sunday, all!!

Another release today, and I'm feeling peaceful and confident today.

Erin, I can only hope to stabilize half as well as you!! I have a feeling I will have to always be vigilant, but it would be nice to have a little "give and take" in my diet.

Cheryl, I sure hope you can get some relief from the allergies!!

Take care, everyone!!

Nice intro! So many trips coming up! Orlando and Vegas? Did you win the Showcase on The Price is Right? It's tough to eat sensibly when on trips. I wish you all the best.

WTG on your weight loss so far!

Thanks for the tip on 199computers. I'll see what they have to offer!

Very cool about the sermon. Total bummer about waking so early.

There are threads on the HCG forum that are dedicated to recipes, whether in P2 or P3. Hope you find some good ideas over there!

Nobody knows. I PM'd her but no reply. And still no word from Paula since the TX tornadoes.

You're doing great on the scale so far! Another P2 tomorrow? Hope it's a good one!

Unfortunately, the only relief for the allergies is to not do the work and that's not an option. I'm happy you are losing!

I sold my lawn mower to my landlord-to-be today! She will come for it mid-week and hand me the cash at that time. She seems like a very easy-going, fly by the seat of her pants sort of lady. I'll need to learn how best to work with her. She does the mowing herself at the property I'll be renting so I'll see her at least twice a month. Hope it works out well.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday! Get some rest, if that is what you are in need of. As for me, it's back to the old grind of working through the chaos that is my "organizational system."

Cheryl, it sounds like you have a good set up with your new landlord!

Here's hoping that Paula and Mini are doing well...

I am so grateful and proud to say that I am back down to 153 today. My low weight after last round, albeit, that I reached during P3, was 152.4. I'm back at 153 today! I am so happy to see that the HhCG is working. I am so happy that, hopefully, it is because my hormone implant is wearing off. Yet, I still have enough of the hormone that I am not having hot flashes. I have postponed my next implant until I get the rest of my weight off. This is how I remember HCG working; that is, I keep the calories very, very low, but I don't have to weigh and measure every little thing or be super- duper careful about every little thing. I ate about 2 oz. of meat about 4 times yesterday, had some lettuce and tomato slices, even had some cheese and, had milk and then half and half in my coffee (I was at a seminar so I drank several cups). Also, I had a vente sugar free, fat free Starbucks for the drive back from out of town. Once I break virgin fat territory, I may have to be more scrupulous, but I hope not. I am just happy and releived to have lost my "P4 creep up" and my loading weight. Everything from here is bonus!!!!

I listened to my hypnosis session that was recorded on CD all night on repeat as the lady told me to do. I have done that two nights. Part of what she put o there for me was that I will follow the plan for P2 and that I will plan ahead so that I won't be "caught" in situations where I can't stick to the plan.

I feel a sudden urge to boil some eggs to take with me to work, tomorrow. Boiled eggs were my "go to," suddedly starving, emergency food in Round 1. Also, I have boullion at the office and a hot pot. You can make a pretty good emergency "soup" with a sliced boiled egg and some brocooli in boullion. Its good for if you get cold.

I also wanted to add that I think that in my crazy, messed up eating world, eating like a "normal" person includes eating way too much junk and processed foods. So, I guess when I say I can never eat carbs and sugar, what I mean is white flour and refined sugar. I bet I would be okay if I ate whole grains and some fuits and lots of vegetables. In other words, I need to change my way of eating to more healthy. The problem the whole grains, especially wheat and oats, really bother my stomach, etc. (You do not want to know more). I kind of have a mild celiac - gluten intolerance thing going on. So, in the long run, I am going to have to eat healthy, and I won't be able to eat even "main stream" health foods. I have to make stuff at home like my own rice bran bread and my own homemade recipes. So I need to be ready for that.

AMEN! It's so not like either of them to just vanish for even a day, let alone a week or longer. It's freaking me out.

I think my landlord (henceforth to be called by her name, which is Linda) will be a great lady to have to rely on and pay rent to. I am glad she doesn't live on the property and hope that she allows me "my space." Too much over-seeing can be a real drag. I think it will go well between us. I will do my best to keep her happy and to make the place feel like "home" to me.

You sound so happy-happy-happy! Peace and contentment are yours! VFT is knocking at the door as we speak. I hope to follow in your footsteps someday.

Well, you certainly don't want to eat things that are going to turn you inside out. So eat for wellness and leave it at that.

I just can't get it in gear today. What a lump on a log I am! Or is that "bump on a log"?

I am checking that computer website. I didn't realize they were all refurbs. The Acer I have now was a refurb. My only complaint is the hinges. I won't be closing and opening any future laptops unless they are going with me in the car. Live and learn.

WOE: Lowish carb (formerly on Protein Power)
Cheryl -- I've never purchased anything but refurbished in the last 12-15 years until my last business computer -- decided I wanted a brand spanking new one. Desktop with 16 gig RAM, 2 TB hard drive and all the bells and whistles. Big mistake! It's been back to the factory twice for repairs. From now on I'm sticking with tried and true refurbs! I've never had the hinges of a laptop go out on me but have had the electrical connection inlet break on one. That was the pits as I couldn't recharge the dang thing. Ended up pulling the hard drive to copy everything off so I could transfer to another one. OTOH, I think the laptop was 8 years old when it died.

If you want new, Staples had a Toshiba for $379.00 when I was in the store the other day. I drooled a bit, then went home to my old and trusty Acer XP.

Riley -- I love reading about folks who can cheat and get away with it. I live vicariously through folks like you!

Sasseaux -- Way to go with the losses. I plan to emulate you this next round.

Lynn -- great going on the continued losses. Looks like your frankenfoods are working out for you. Just curious, but are they high fat/ low carb? I have a bunch of protein bars that I'd like to use, but don't want to use them on P3. Thinking I might try them on my next round, but they have 10-12 grams of fat in each.

Sorry if I missed anyone.

I can't seem to stop grazing! While taking the hCG, I had no problem controlling my appetite, but all I do these days is munch all day long. Even though the majority of it is legal, I am consuming way too much food. Never thought I'd say this, but I'll be glad when this upcoming trip is over and I can get back to P2.

Yes, it is Sunday and going to church was the thing to do (though I don't.) Is it possible that I failed to update my fellow roguers on my farm job? I thought I beat that horse into the ground.

I told the woman I'd give it a try but then the next day I thought better of it, mustered up the courage and turned her down. It was a situation that was just going to be far too much. I had to remind myself that I WAS THE ONE who placed the ad! I didn't go looking for their place, they came to ME! I can find something better-suited to my needs and I won't have to kill myself to do it.

I have missed all the activity since I made that decision, though. I have way more time on my hands and I have to look at that as a God-send. I need to focus on moving. I know myself all too well, though. If I had stuck with the job and I was mucking 16 stalls in a 9 hour day, I'd be wishing I'd gotten up the courage to bail! (Or is that bale?)

I love my Acer. I think it's an Aspire. All the stickers have worn off of it and I don't know how to actually go inside and tell what the heck I have. I got close today, though. I was trying to figure out if I had a 32 bit or a 64 bit. I never got the answer but I came close.

I have a desk top computer that has been barely used. I wish I could trade it in for a laptop. I never use that sucker and I could "delete" that huge corner desk I bought, thinking I was making an office for myself. Yeesh.

I'm grazing too but with full-hog-on portions. I feel like crap and I ache all over from all the carbs I'm force-feeding myself. My hands feel arthritic again and I just keep opening my yap and stuffing in more. I hate when I get like this. It's like "the party's over! Soon you will be paying almost a grand for rent! Live now, while you have the chance!"

Just finished watching "Two Mules for Sister Sara" on Netflix. I love that movie. I used to have people tell me that I looked like Shirley MacLane. Not a bad compliment, I think.

With slight variations, all the meal replacements have the same nutritional "footprint":

Fat 3g
Carb 11-12g
Fiber 4g (net 7-8)
Protein 11g
110 cals

I've been taking 4 meal replacements along with 1T hwc in coffee, for a total of 490 calories. A few days I've allowed myself a handful of lettuce or broccoli with my evening meal. I do this when I'm having the "sloppy joes" meal, and I prepare it and put it on top of the veggies.

Other dinners have been soup. Usually during the day I have bars or pretzels, although since I had time this morning I made the "oatmeal" meal.

I will definitely be cutting back on these in P3, if not eliminating all together.

Not sure how long this round will continue, but I will probably only do a very short P3, 2 weeks at the most. I have a plan in place to make sure I'm on P3 by June 20 or so, since we're going away for a few days the 25th.
