Geez! I post on here ans p2/p3 thread, late last night finally got to all the personals and this morning it's not on here!!! Sorry ladies!
Julie- hope everything works out the way it should with the house! How exciting! I actually love moving, hate the work but it's so fun when you like where your going and get to "play" setting it all up. Hope the scale settles down with the exercise soon! It's got me a little scared to add in exercise. My P4 supposed to start Monday (if I get through this weekend ok) but I'm unsure when I'll start exercising. Lara- we hear your "roaring"!!! sorry about the flat tire! It's your bday this weekend right? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Don't let the goodies ruin your weekend, enjoy the fruit and whipped cream! Theresa- glad you made it to bc! I will respond on your message there today, sorry been super busy! Glad your still in your window! Natasha- Doing great! Enjoy your night out! I'm D19 today, up .2 after 2350 cals. Still 3 below LDW. Think I'm gonna try a little of the catfish tomorrow and see what happens, hope for the best! Hope you ladies have a beautiful day! Tonya |

I have a Low GI Diet book or (something like that) guess it would be useful to look up the values of fruits/veggies! Thanks for the reminder!

Good afternoon Ladies!
Happy B-day Lara ![]() I am happy to report the 1lb up from yesterday is gone today --Thank God! Still 0.2lb over my LDW but I am ok with that. Hoping to stay within decent range with Easter week-end --not easy with family/friends gathering and eating out but I will try my best. I invested too much work/time/$$ in the Protocole to throw it out of the window like that. I am liking this forum as it is keeping me in check --Thanks again ladies ![]() Happy "Good Friday". |

Ok, i need help! Here is the recipe that i used to make the cauli pancakes...i put it into recipe builder and darn near passed smack out!
278 calories per pancake!!!! WHAT????? Each recipe makes 8....1 head cauliflower (boiled soft) (143.8 cals) 3 tbs butter (one goes into the mix) (305 cals) 1 med. sweet onion (sauteed in 2 of the tbs. butter) (100 cals) 2 extra lg eggs (166 cals) 1/3 c coconut flour (5.3 tbs) (180 cals) 1 c shredded cheddar (405 cals ) 1300 cals total divided by 8 = 162.5 ________________________ I pan fried each of the patties in my iron skillet...used a tbs of evoo to keep them from sticking. when i put it into recipe builder i got an alarming 278 per patty.....but then ****** gave me 162.5 per patty! What gives??? I was gonna feed them to the dogs! Holey moley!!! are they worth fixing??? Or should i scrap them? i could leave out some of the butter...but i was adding that to get the fat up! lol....i might try them with goat cheese next time... |

Theresa-looks like the cheese is the culprit in that recipe. Can you back that down and see what it does? Weren't you looking for ways to up your caloreis? There's a good one
.You all sound like you're doing well!! And.... We got the house!!! ![]() I'm scared, excited, dazed, a little dumbfounded. Kinda' crasy!! Actually, really crazy!! But exciting. I'm cautiously optimistic!! The packing part stinks but it'll be worth it, eventually . Thanks for the well wishes. It's hard to believe in a few weeks I'll be living somewhere else. Finished the first week of C25K! Woo-hoo!! And I don't feel nearly as sore or swollen today either. Maybe I won't need my CD tomorrow!!

Thanks Julie! CONGRATULATIONS ON THE HOUSE!! WOOHOO!!!!
I actually want to try it w/ goat cheese! Less cals more fat. I don't know what the heck i am trying to do! I give up!!! I put this on the p2/p3 thread: UGH!!!!! Guess what?? YEP that is right...up another 1.4 this morning!!! I am truly beyond over this roller coaster! I am not going to spend the rest of my life living on a continual cycle of cd's each week! I am off to try to find the family of a dog who was in my neighbor's back yard last night. He is in my garage right now (my dog's would have lost their minds if i brought him in the house!) I hope everyone has a great day! Hugs to all and I will be back later on to catch up on personals! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Theresa-
I suspect you're just over cals from those pancakes. Any kind of recipe-LC substitue meals, really make me gain. I can't do SF "cookies, cakes etc. b/c I seem to gain easily from even the substitute foods. I hope things settle down for you. Maybe try just simple whole foods for a few days? ![]() Apple-enjoy stability!! Down to LDW today!! Seems like my body's adjusting. So I'll add weights next week-glutton for punishment!! But, it'll be ok. Some chocolate eggs may be enjoyed this weekend too . First time in 10 years!! But I will try to not overdo it, and have some leeway. We are "under contract" on a new house. We are downsizing from our beautiful 3200sf, 3car garage home we built 5 years ago . I love this house, and our neighborhood. But, we're very upside down on it and will not be able to really get ahead financially here. With our new home, we'll have a 30yr mtg, (currently in a 40), be in a single story which means we can live there even when we're old , and be able to actually pay it off. And, the payment will be lower, it's closer to dh's work, and a much better school system. And dd (11) can play on a better school vball team!! And it already has a nice diving pool in the BY. It will need some updating, but we can choose what we want to do, and take our time with it. I am still in shock that they accepted our offer. The market here has become quite competitive again and we've faced many multiple offer situations. It seems like God is blessing this one. There are still 2 hurdles -home inspection and appraisal/financing to cross. But, if all goes well, we will be moving mid-May!! We come back from our vacation to Utah May 13th, close the 16th!! I'll be painting and re-doing the flooring in the master before we move. So, packing!! AHHHH! I hate it so!! but, I know it needs to happen. And it'll be me doing 99% of it!! Sigh. Not to lose the focus of what this weekend is all about. Remembering the supreme sacrifice that My Lord made for me (and all the rest of us). And that He rose again!! Conquering death, sin and evil!! Hallelujah!! Thank you Lord!! |

![]() CONGRATULATIONS!! :jumpj oy:a new house is always fun! Though....not the packing!!' Though that is a great time to "purge" as I am finding! lolIf my roller coaster climb/cd loss/climb wasnt the weekly pattern for all of p3/p4 i would totally think it was the coconut flower. hmmmmm, I'm trying not to get discouraged or angry about it...i mean, i haven't gone out of my ldw w/ immediately correcting it...it is just aggravating. I want to figure it out! And if it keeps to schedule....tomorrow should be a correction day...BUT I have ribs to smoke for tomorrow....NO WAY! lol...i can forgo the candy and such. But the ribs??? lolThat is AWESOME on the c25k! You are my hero!! I will start walking tomorrow...regardless of a gain! I want to be walking during the next round! I'm gonna hold off on the running though. But you have done amazing!!! Quote:
Awesome job on the ldw!! That is phenomenal! So sorry everyone that I have been "cranky" the past two days! I'm just over the roller coaster! BUT i will persevere! lolI hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I am still trying to find the family of the dog we found last night....no luck yet! And I can no way, no how keep him!!! Hi ladies --Just dropping in to wish you a great weekend! May the scales cooperate for all of us and may we resist to all the off-line food this Easter weekend.
I am up 0.6lb --that brings to +0.8lbs over my LDW but I am ok as long as I stay withing the range |

Evening girls! I'm up 1.5 above LDW. I had a margarita last night and a few chips at Mexican. Dang it...So today have been strictly LC. I had a spicy sausage for brekkie, big salad w/ lc pizza for lunch and hot/lemon pepper wings for dinner! I went to visit my Mimi today and she was offering me sweet tea, chocolate cake, ice cream...UGH! Glad I'm not going there tomorrow for Easter dinner!
DH is outside right now grilling/smoking w/ the neighbors and some friends. He's doing chicken legs, sausages, pork butt. So that meat will be eaten tomorrow for Easter dinner. I'm going to make some deviled eggs and maybe either spinach dip or a creamed spinach recipe I found. Not sure what else, thinking of some olives for me to snack on. I need to get to making my grocery list!

Julie- BIG Congrat's on the house!!! I'm sure you will love it as much as the one your in now, in no time. What a busy few weeks your in for! So happy your back to ldw!!! Enjoy the chocolate tomorrow! Theresa- sorry you been feeling cranky! I'm gonna be right there with you tomorrow! Hope you find the dog's family soon! Say your question at HTA- my coconut milk is the SoDelicious brand, it's comes in sf regular or vanilla at about 50 cals a cup. It's not as good as HWC, but I like the powdered creamer hazelnut crap- you know the one, full of corn syrup solids! So now I use Coconut milk with the sf hazelnut syrup (Torani's). Natasha- You are doing great this P3! Sounds like you have lots of good food for tomorrow! Hope all of you ladies have a nice evening, and tomorrow is beautiful for you and your loved ones! Tonya |

Well ladies today is P3D20 for me, and as you all know I have done so well, the entire time, until today that is.
LDW 121.4, I seem to have stabilized at about 118-119, never saw ldw. This morning I was up 1.4, to 119.8, no biggie b/c I got very little sleep last night and only about 15 oz water. Now some of you laughed when I told you my first dinner meal last P3 was Souper Salads, and all I ate was salad bar and gained 8 lbs overnight. I didn't eat 8 lbs worth! Today I went to the family fish fry. Took my own broc salad, filled 1/2 my plate with this. The other 1/2 I ate fried catfish, and a bite of a few questionable things. I hoped I'd be ok since I'm on day 20, and seemed to be stable as a rock this whole time. NOT!!! I'm home now, weight 128, up 9 lbs from this morning! I'm bloated, rings are tight, and dreading my 1st CD will be on day 21 & it's Easter! I'll pay the piper but I sure hate that I have reacted so harshly to a few carbs. This is all I ate today (at 1), didn't over eat, could have happily eaten a 2nd plate but didn't. So tonight I had 6 oz GY for dinner. I know I usually weigh 2 lbs higher at night than the morning, but that would still leave me at 126, 7 lbs more than today. Really hoped I might be able to enjoy a little bit of carbs occasionally, doesn't look like that's in my future. Life will go on, but it's just so unfair when we gain extreme amounts that don't add up in calories. Already regretting that I allowed myself to "enjoy life & family" for the day. Gonna put my big girl panties on now! Thanks for listening! Tonya |

Tonya - Day 20 on P3 you should be able to enjoy some fried fish! Sounds delish! That's odd you gaining 8 or 9 pounds overnight! Must be some serious sodium! Does it fall back off w/in a day or two or three? Sucks having to do a CD on Easter esp if you'll be cooking and having family over. I'm dreading it if I have to but plan on making me lots of deviled eggs and having lots of fatty protein so hoping it will do the trick (If necessary...)

Tonya-my body reacts the same way!! Even super careful I can gain 5l+bs easily at Sweet Tom (Souper/salad's sister). That broc. salad would make me gain a lot too!! You KNOW it's not real weight. Just bulk and water retention (rings tell the tale!). You've been so good and done amazingly well. Hang in there. Maybe an egg day? do you have as many HB eggs as I do?
MAybe you'll pee a lot tonight and tomorrow won't be as bad. ![]() Natasha-yum!! Love smoked meat!! I need to get a smoker one day!! Enjoy that tomorrow. Glad you enjoyed your visit today. Lots of temptation. Theresa-ribs!! That sounds good too!! Have fun tomorrow. Hopefully you won't need a Cd afterall! Hope you can get off the rollercoaster!! And you're not cranky. We're here to support each other. Vent away I started early . Had some yummy things today. Even gelato. and a cadbury caramel egg. It was I know I'll pay for it in the morning, but it was worth it Happy Easter!! He is risen!! |

Thanks for the tip on the carageenen. I googled it and did some reading and sure nuff! It is in my hwc! SO i went to the store again last night....funny story too....mom and I bought ALL the pork side they had (second night in a row!) and some ORGANIC HWC and organic grass fed butter. sigh....way more expensive...but i'm gonna try it! I didn't do a correction day today...will tomorrow if i need it. I am so sorry you are having to do it today on Easter. I SHOULD.....but i'm being a rebel! Quote:
I am so sorry Tonya! I really expected you to be able to enjoy your family event! Could it possibly be a lot of retention? Don't beat yourself up though for enjoying your family life....even if it is something that only happens once in a while...enjoy it and then just know you might have to do a cd afterward. Life is too fleeting to not enjoy it a bit. Just so long as we don't lose sight of staying on top of it. That being said....it does seem odd how much you jumped? Hmmm, let us know what the scales said this morning. Hang in there girl and we are all here for each other! Vent away when ya need to! ![]() Quote:
Like clockwork....up a lb this morning. BUT cd...FORGET IT! lol...i'm rebelling! I am .2 out of my window....so going to keep it a bit light today and worry about cd tomorrow! I have GY on standby! OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, so.....I FIGURED hwc was my best option. BUT who knew it had carogeenens (sp?) in it!?!!! I need a cow to go along w/ my chicken coop! grrrrrrrrrrr SO, last night and 30$ later I bought two pints of ORGANIC hwc and two rather expensive sticks of kerry gold butter. I actually prefer the kerry gold butter taste wise. Just such a better taste! I am wondering.....could the carageenens REALLY have pulled THAT big of a number on this roller coaster ride? My breakfast this morning was 4tbs of the kerry gold, 1 tbs of hwc (omg the organic tastes like ice cream!) in my cup of coffee. Had I been thinking I would have had 2 cups of coffee and split the butter in between the two. I've been reading on another lc site, different paleo (I adore paleo!)sites about it and was intrigued. Great way to up the fat w/o the bulk of a heavy breakfast. I shall see! I am wondering what it will do to my tumtum! I'm going ahead w/ my ribs and dad is picking up a boston butt. I usually will smoke my own...but if someone else is willing to do the work....haha! let 'em! I am throwing some chicken thighs on the grill w/ the ribs to smoke away for the week! I hope EVERYONE has a wonderful day with family, loved ones and friends! Have a happy and blessed Easter Sunday! ![]() Last edited by icecreamjunkie; 04-08-2012 at 06:57 AM.. |

Morning ladies! Happy Easter!
Thanks Julie & Theresa for the support! Eating away sucks, I feel so much more in control at home. Theresa carrageenan are in a lot of things. I found it in HWC (almost all), 1/2 & 1/2, some salad dressings and seasonings. It's just a word for sodium, MSG, and crap. I did find 1/2 & 1/2 w/o pretty easily, but the HWC I use is Land O lakes Organic and it lists it as less than .05%. "They" wanted me to get some locally through a farmer, fresh cream, but I'm just not willing to go there. I want to make these changes something I can continue with in the long term, and I knew I wouldn't keep that up. I've also seen it in many processed meats like sausage, lunch meats etc. I'd never heard of it before but now I look at everything. Day 21 here! Up 4.2 to 124 even. Ldw is 121.4, but I have been 118-119 (up 1.4 yesterday) for 20 days so I'm really up about 5 1/2 lbs. Shame on me, I knew better! Will do my 1st CD for Easter, just have to figure out which one. Eggs, GY, or steak, these are my options. P4 is supposed to start tomorrow, will be waiting a few more days. Hope you ladies all have a blessed and lovely day! Tonya |

I would be willing to have my own cow...i think! lol...not sure i could get past the "mental" portion of "where it came from" but if it is in a carton....lol it isn't so bad! ![]() I can't wait to get home to the flagship whole foods store...AND HEB has their own version to compete....so between the two i am hoping this stuff is much more at my fingertips than in SAV! Sigh....i know i need to stay away from seasoning mixes. Did you know ALL (most anyway) of the Mrs. Dash has sugar and starch in it? Even my Dukes Mayo has something in it that i haven't googled yet! On the positive side....look at how AMAZING you stabilized!!! If it comes back down w/in a day or so....i TRULY wouldn't sweat it. So what if every now and again you have an event...then go back to stable land! Let's hope that's how it works for ya! ![]() |

Hi everyone! I have decided not to weigh myself until next week and stick to strict P3. I want to get back to exercising this week and I know I will just drive myself crazy with each little gain, so I am giving myself a week off from weighing in. But I will be very diligent about sticking to P3 to a T!
I have decided that I am definitely going to Hawaii at the end of September, so now I am determined to get bathingsuit ready!! Maybe even bikini ready. ![]() I just have to decided when to do another round. I would like to lose another 15 lbs. before I leave. ![]() |

Theresa - you are so right! I'm sure it will come right back off, I'm just pouting today. It's just me & bf and the kids but we are doing bf and chick fajita's with pico and guac and I was going to make the oopsie cake that Jeanette posted. Making plenty though so I'll get to eat leftovers all week. It's pouring now in Dallas, was going to work in the yard and now that's out. Guess I'll just spend the day in the kitchen, need to open up the new food processor, learn how to use it. Think I'll do the chicken cheese pizza crust today too and put them in the freezer, had to borrow spring form pans from my mom. It is what it is!
I hate that they hide all the crap in everything! I saw you like Tony's seasonings. I used to eat that a lot but can't really find it anymore. Now I use Cavendar's a lot, they even have a salt free version. Just looked at it, it's got cornstarch, sugar, corn soy protein & 5 other spices. BC says if they group it in "other spices" it's b/c it's all bad! Guess I'll toss it! Oh well, live & learn! When do you move? We may have to meet at some point- Dallas and Austin are not that far apart! Love taking my girls to San A, and we usually do the Guad River every summer (not the last 2 b/c it flooded the first and was dry the 2nd) but we hope to go this year! Drew- enjoy the freedom from the scale! When are you doing your next round? Bikini Ready? That's a scary thought for me, even at 120 there's no way! I'm still waiting for my skin to catch up, hope it does! Also want to add exercise back in, but afraid of the scale. In time! Hope both of you are having a nice relaxing day! Tonya |

Ok, I think i just might have made an amazing discovery!!! My mom loves the Rochere's white chocolate thingies...they are kinda hard to find....and I was getting a lil tired of the chocolate crack....I KNOW....CRAZY!
![]() Here's what I did: 2 tbs (ha measured this time! WHO KNEW an actual tbs is much smaller than the large spoons I actually USE on the table! Lmao!) of Virgin CO. 4 packets of truvia 2 tbs of unsweetened coconut flakes a SPLASH of organic HWC (mainly for the white color) 1/2 lid full of vanilla extract (watch and make sure it is not filled w/ junk!) _______________ Let this solidify back in the fridge. I tasted the fork after i blended it all. OMG! So far so good! The truvia doesn't truly dissolve (and next time i will only use 3 packets), but i like the lil crunch it gives it! Hopefully my mom likes it! ![]() Quote:
That sounds amazing!!!Quote:
I totally need to revamp my seasoning stash before the nxt round. I want to really watch the salt! I already know to stay away from the brags! I will hit the commissary here with my parents next weekend to stock up on p2 foods again...Meat is SO much cheaper there! Lots of chicken breast, make stock with it....my egg drop soup was a staple! That and my celery soup! I'm looking forward to the stability of it again......please let it go as awesome as my first round!! ![]() Hope everyone is having a super day today!!! I've been chillin' on the couch (except to check my ribs every so often) watching NCIS. I haven't felt good the past two days....i think it is because i don't want to go back to work tomorrow! Luckily it is only three days!!! |
