Good morning ladies! I am up a little bit today from yesterday, but still below LDW. I just have a quick question. I am never hungry since i started p3 and just thinking about "oh what should i have for lunch..." nothing at all sounds good. I have just been picking here and there at veggies and pepperoni and SF lunch meat. Then at dinner time i feel like i need to get my calories up so i eat a lot. Last night i had 3 skin on roasted chicken thighs, mashed cauliflower with sour cream and chives, and greenbeans. And i was fine at first it was delicious. Well i got my kitchen cleaned up, got homework and baths done and got the kids to bed. Came down to just sit and relax and chug some water and i was so, so sick to my stomach. I couldn't even drink my water bc i felt like i was going to vomit. This happened two nights in a row now. I didn't know if it was because that was to much food for me to eat at once, or if it was just too greasy, and wasn't settling well with my stomach. What do you think i should do differently so i am not so sick at night? Sorry this is so long

Kari your meal sounds fine to me... maybe a cooincedence possible you ate too fast? Do you usually eat those foods? Strange but hopefully it wont happen again... Have you taken any supplements recently or taken anything you dont usually? Hard to say what it could be.

Hey there Kari! I agree with Lara, most likely you just ate too fast/too much in the evening? I am trying hard to get most of my cals in early and taper them as the day goes on. Sometimes it is just impossible w/ our busy schedules though! I hope you feel better tonight!!!
And awesome on the below ldw!

Lara, I am right there with you on the stress of the scales. I woke up in a panic worried i hadn't came back down! I'm sorry you felt cruddy!
I'm sure your resolve to stay on top of this will pay off in the end!!! It is inspiring to the rest of us when we have weaker moments!

I had 1c gy w/ chocolate crack on top (co!) to try to get the fat up w/o using hwc....oh how i miss thee already! I'm trying to figure out what to make for dinner and i am thinking bacon wrapped chicken tenders w/ cauliflower cheesy hashbrowns! but lacking all motivation!

Yeah, It's like I get on the scale and I close one eye and peek to see what number is going to come up, as if that helps it at all. lol and even before that I want to go to bed early and get up very early to weigh... I'm obsessed. At least I dont play the on off game anymore I pretty much weigh once and accept it. (unless its really bad I weigh again one hour later)
Just sayin this to set myself free dont follow my lead on this one.

Im starting to think about p2 again but I wont do it until my 6 weeks is up which will be May. To be able to fit into my size 12's again I need to loose 30 more pounds at least. I will shoot to load on May 5th, cinco de mayo... you will be really celebrated this year!

I'm sorry that your day didn't work out the way you expected it to. Let us know what happens.

My update - OK, so after my GYCD yesterday I lost 4.4lbs and I am again below my LDW . What a blessing for me because I was really worried yesterday.
After thinking about it yesterday I think I know what may have caused the gain. I started back taking my medicine for ADHD on Sunday, which I haven't taken since starting P2. That's the only thing that I could think of that changed that could have caused me to gain. I didn't take it yesterday or today so we'll see what happens. Worse case scenario...I won't take it anymore and I'll just be bouncing off the walls and get no work done because I wont be able to focus , I think it's worth it . We'll see if my boss likes that.
Wow!! Those GYCD's really work wonders for you!! WTG!! I hope it's not the meds, but sounds like it might be. You would think the ADHD meds would curb your appetite and help, not hurt. Either way, for being back down so nice and low!!

I am so frustrated and I can't bear the idea of doing yet another CD right now. It shouldn't be like this.
Drew- bummer on the rebound!! That happens to me all the time Hope you get it straightend out soon!! I don't know what to tell you. I would take a little time and get adjusted. Depending on what you have planned, do your last round whenever it's convenient.

Theresa-way to go on your loss!! So happy you're down so much!! WTG!!

I'm down a little. 1lb though. That's a disappointment. I am pretty sure the recent gains are from adding the exercise this week. Even doing a GYCD w/ only 1400cals for the day should have dropped more than a lb. Usually good for at least 3lbs. Sigh. Between all the mom stress and the sore muscles, I'm really bummed my weight isn't a bright spot. It's so hard when you do the right thing (running is a sacrifice for me!! I really don't like it!!) and you're punished on the scale. Sigh. Oh well. I'm keeping it clean today. No cheese, nuts, choc. or CO. I had eggs w/ onions, peppers and salsa for bfast. Coffee/hwc. For lunch I'll do something P2 friendly and then we'll probably have london broil for dinner. I hope to be down some more tomorrow. I don't like being above LDW this much. I was hoping for some nice wiggle room from that CD yesterday. I may do a steak day tomorrow if I'm still up. Can't figure out how to get this water weight back off. Exercise is good for me and I need to stick to it. Wish the scale agreed!!

Hi everyone else!! Sorry I missed you!! hope you're all doing well!

As for me,
Today I am happy to report a 0.2 decrease (better than nothing or going up ;-)). As long as I do not go up -I am happy and thinkfull. I am now +0.2 above my LDW!

Keep up the great work ladies!
I did a GYCD (Greek Yogurt Day). This is where you eat nothing all day except 32-40 oz of full fat greek yogurt (no low fat or fat free). I add up to 8 oz. of strawberries and splenda. I drink my usual 120-150 oz. of water and I have had awesome results each time I did it. My first time I think I lost about 5 lbs. from it.

Actually the meds really do curb my appetite, but I noticed during P2 when I them I had a stall for a few days. That's why I assumed that maybe that's what caused me to gain this time.

I'm willing to bet that you're still losing inches. The added exercise is probably what's causing you problems along with the added stress of dealing with your mom. One of the ladies on here mentioned a water pill that works really well for her, I just don't remember who it was or what the name of the pill was. I hope the scale agrees with you soon.

Thanks girls. Keeping it clean today. No cheese, nuts, CO or PB. I've read online that most people who start exercising or running in particular, can gain up to 4 lbs the first 2 weeks . Really? Way to encourage a girl to keep running! But if I can maintain through this staring phase it should settle down in a few weeks. May be several CDs in my near future. I don't want to gain, but need to exercise. So unfair!! I'm too scared to add weight training even though I desperately need it!!

Tiffany-the meds def interfere w/ your body chemistry, so could def be the problem. Dh takes metadate and dd Concerta. Hope it works itself out!

Theresa-thanks! Less stress today. Def the exercise I think. Thx!!

Morning ladies! Hope you all have a good scale day!

Julie- Hope the stress level is down today. Hate that your your scale is not liking the exercise. Hope it all levels out soon and the #'s go back down. We get the reasoning in why it goes up, just not fair. I had planned to start the exercise this weekend but may back down on that for now.

I added almonds and cheddar cheese yesterday and down .2 sitting -3.2 from ldw. Very happy about that.

My extended family is having a fish fry Sat. Catfish and hush puppies are the specialty. I'm gonna take safe sides, skip the hush puppies. How bad do you all think it would be to have a small amount of catfish (fried in cornmeal). Really debating this b/c I don't want to mess it all up. No plans fro Easter Sunday since we are all getting together Sat, will stay home and cook for my family. All safe stuff!

Hope you all have a great day!

Wow...2 weeks!!!??? That's not that bad. Maybe I will start some light exercise before starting R2. This way I will get the weight gain part out of the way and my body will be used to the exercise by next weekend when I start. What do you think?

I don't think it will hurt that bad as long as it's a small amount.

Good morning ladies! Not a very good day for me but it was kind of expected. Yesterday was a very stressful day at work. I was able to have a decent breakfast but could not have lunch until 3:30pm; got home late @ night and did not have diner (I don't like eating late at night). In addition, I did not go to bed until 11:00pm --basically the lack of enough calories for the day and a couple of successive nights of little sleep did not help on the scale --so I am up 1lbs --putting me @ 1.2lbs above my LDW. I will try my best today hoping for a downward on the scale tomorrow.

Have a good day all.

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!

Well I'm down 1.2 from my steak day which is not as good as I wanted it to be but I am also down 3.2 this week so I'm not too unhappy. The ribeye steaks I got from costco were delicious so I didnt mind that much.

You're all doing so well keep it up people!!!

Ok, doesn't it just make you that exercise can make you gain?!? Not making me want to do it! I hope that it levels out for you. Your c25k is making me want to run again...well, that and all of my tiny running clothes i had to pack up for the move!
I'm going to try to keep it clean today too! As much as possible!
I hope your day is totally stress free and you have an awesome day!

I haven't checked in at all or gotten on a thread yet. I THINK my screen name is the same as on here! lol...i need more coffee! I have one more week of p4...will load/begin dosing on the 16. It is one day early...but I figured that would be ok...so i can gorge w/ mom and dad here....have some fun before they leave! I was going to go ahead and do the 6 mos. Will have to spend some time learning my way around and such!!! I need to break out one of my journals and keep a total diary/journal for this whole thing....i have one for my hcg weeks, but p3/p4 has been chronicled online. I guess i will start in the p4 thread for the next week!

Ugh! I feel ya Tiffany! I was up 1.5 from my gycd yesterday...but i lost seven...so NOT gonna complain. Now, the trick will be to keep it stable! Still clueless on how to do that!
But you are doing way awesome!!!! You have pretty much been stable until you started your meds back!!!

So sorry you had a stressful day! Sending GIANT ! Hope today is a much better day for you!

WOE: one day at a time!! LC!
Start Date: July 14, 2003 - every day!!
Theresa- IKR? Really? Punishing someone for exercise!! But, now that I'm done I do feel better. There is some comfort that it's not just me! And a little rebound after a 7lb loss on your GYCD is piddley!! WTG!! You enjoy your time w. mom and dad.

Tonya
Thanks!! I am feeling better. Although the exercising is killing me on the scale it seems to help w. the stress!
Are you in P4 yet? I can't rememeber. Either way, at 3.2lbs under LDW I'd allow myself some catfish. Living life w. our family and friends is so much fun. You don't have that opportunity everyday. Plus, even adding cheese and nuts has you losing. It seems like you're in a great place. Maybe run the #'s so your fat is high enough. Who knows, you may even lose from it? You're talking cornmeal, not pure sugar!!

As for me, I'm up 1 lb from yesterday which is to be expected the day after a CD so I'm still pretty happy. Hope everyone has a great day!!!
That's not much rebound. I'm back up my little lb today too . I think the inches are up a bit (don't measure though) b/c my thighs feel big b/c they're sore. Do you plan to keep the exercise going in P2? If so, then yes, start now. I don't know how much energy you have in P2. If it's minimal like most of us, maybe you should just add brisk walking for now? The running time builds up and, for me at least, is kinda' strenuous. I am out of breath and really require the "recovery" time in between. I'd definitely add something now though, while you can. Even walking is so good for you!

Sorry for the gain, but you seem to understand why and I'm sure today will go better. Get some sleep too .

Thanks for that tip on Costco. I'm planning a Steak day today so I'll hit my costco. Glad you're down for the week. Are you still out of your window? You should be pretty close to it at this point!! Hope you're able to get back in those pants soon!!

I was annoyed to see 150.2 this morning. I know it's not something I ate. Stupid water retention. I am going to do a Steak Day , then tomorrow I will go back to a 1900+cal day w. good whole food. See where I am Sat. morning. It seems the first 2 weeks of the running is the part where the weight goes up. After that your body should have adjusted to the new routine and allow that water retention to go. Ideally, if I keep a tight enough reign on it, I should be able to get back to or under LDW in a few weeks. Probably decide to add weight training at that point . I'm afraid to add it now, b/c I'm already up from just the running. Not sure. Maybe I should add it now since I'm already doing the CD's? If I wait to add it in a few weeks when the running weight should go, will I be right back in this viscious CD cylce again? Probably. But, if I add it now, will a CD be effective at all? Will the gain be even more than 2lbs? Geesh. I don't know. Thoughts and opinions are welcome.

Keeping my chin up even though the scale is being stupid. I'll do a steak day, they're not awful. I need to remember to really drink though. I may do 2 steaks if I can't make it. We'll see. Should go visit my mom too. Make it a great day girls. Let's set ourselves up for a smooth weekend. (She says, knowing those Cadbury carmel eggs are in the other room just waiting for her on Sunday) .

I am up another 1.0 this morning. I can't do a correction day until Saturday, but more like Sunday. I have no idea what to try next. Private Diva suggested doing a Leptin Reset, so I will have to look into that. The straight P3 eating isn't working, so something must be up.

Hey there! I know that you have to have so many posts before they will let you add a sig. I think it is like 60? Not totally certain though. I do know that to add the ticker is a total pain in the tushy! lol...i had to save the ticker image and add it each time it changed. Cheri, one of the moderaters (total angel!) helped me with the first one!

Hey lildrew, try skipping dinner? Make today really meaty... whenever I do protein including dairy I stay the same. try to stay away from veggies today, drink lots of water. This will pass. Hang in there! Just some ideas... drink these!!!!
Natural Diruratics: Green tea Coffee Apple cider vinegar lemon juice I know this is TMI but maybe bernice plays a part? thats what got me last week...

Julie~ Unfortunately I'm still outside of my window by 3 lbs but hey its not that bad. Worrying wont make me lose it so I'm just trying to take it one day at a time. Yes the ribeyes at Costco I got 4 thick ones for $23 so tender I could cut it with a fork!

Theresa~ You have a great day too steak buddy! lol

Everyone think thin! Be positive! You can do this! Imagine the scales dropping!!!This will happen!!

I planned to do a GYCD today, but now I will be having dinner with my parents at Boston Market. I guess I should just eat P3, since all I have is GY and I don't think I should mix GY and meat. I drank some Smooth Move tea last night, but it didn't make a difference.

I am just feeling down about the whole thing. I want to start exercising, but it looks like that might cause me to gain even more. I don't really to go on P2, until I do a full Phase 4. Part of me thinks my body really needs the rest from HCG so that I can come back and do another round and my body and mind will really be ready for it.

I agree with waiting. Your plan sounds good. Dosent Boston Market have salads now? I think that would be the safelst since they might over salt or use hidden sugars.
I'm going to do another round in May starting the 5th maybe you could join me? I think that this will work itself out. You have lost more than youve gained this week, no?
Sometimes I take philips colon cleanse pills they work nicely with no cramps or anything. It;s like probiotic stuff that makes everything start moving again. Or Milk thistle is good too...

WOE: one day at a time!! LC!

Well, I found 2 great houses today, and we went and saw them. Love both, but one is cheaper, closer to home and being sold by a real person (other is a short sale). It doesn't show as well so it should be easier to get our hands on. I actually like it better even though it's not as grand! But, that kept me out all day, so no steak day for me today!! I had a bunless cheeseburger w/ grilled onions. I loaded that and a ribeye and the numbers are nearly the same. I wonder if I had another one for dinner if that would be a new CD!! We'll see. I may see if I can skip dinner. Not hungry yet. Either way, I will eat normally tomorrow. Too much back-to-back restriction lends itself to way overdoing it the next day!

Drew-I don't know what to tell you. Could it be hormonal or something? What's your calorie requirement vs. actual? Who am I to be giving advice these days!! I can't even stay in my own window this week!! It seems like I'm much less sore today (just in time to run tomorrow!!) so maybe the scale will be fair in the morning. Sigh. I hear ya. CD's are no way to live and there really isn't anything we're doing to deserve this!! Maybe the leptin reset would help. It doesn't look that hard, but I am just never hungry first thing in the morning. So I just enjoy my coffee/cream. That woudl be tough for me. But, I've toyed w. it myself. And I agree w/ Lara. Waiting would be a good idea. Maybe a JUDDD type of thing? Worked for Shelby. She coudlnt' stabilize either.

Lara-I'd love ot do another round with you, (well, not LOVE ) but it would be fun to lose w. you. Hope things go well for your. I'll be waiting until mid-July if I do another one.

I'm doing vaca May 5-13, then my bday end of May, then DD's bdays are both the end of June, then anniv July 4th. Won't be until mid July to be able to do another round. I think I may just do it actually. I never dreamed I'd be able to be this low. And when I look at Tonya's success I think it may be possible to get some more of this fat off of me!! If I can get my body to accept that exercise isn't going to hurt it, and stabilize here. Enjoy my summer, travel, bdays, etc. and then once things quiet down drop 10-15 more lbs? That would be amazing!! I can't even imagine it just now, but will begin toying w. it over the summer. The key right now it to get this weight stable again (running or not!!) and keep it there!!

Theresa and the rest of the gang! Off to dye eggs w/ the kids.

This morning I had a whipped cream situation and a flat tire situation and I conquered them both!!! ~~I am woman, hear me roar!!!!!!!~~

At work we have something called the birthday club where if you are born in April, the last person who had a bday makes you a cake, well I cant have cake so I asked for fruit and salad. I've pre made the dressings so I know there's no sugar and I whipped cream for the fruit but what fruit can I have without a gain? Less sugary fruit like strawberries and banannas oranges but does anyone eat a lot of fruit tell me whats safe please? I can always just eat the salad... lol Dunno whats in the fruit yet I will update soon.

Anyhoo, happy Friday all. I am same weight as yesterday which is good. Today I got on the scale and looked at it without closing my eyes first. It is what it is and today I don't care. (I actually do, lol) I've got bigger fish to fry!! (pretending I am brave) Cause havent you ever noticed when you dont give a poo things fall into place?

I'm just sayin.

Morning!!

Lara- I agree. Ignore the weight and maybe it'll settle down. Sorry for the challenges today. I'd stick w. berries in that fruit if I were you. Bananas, mango and pinapple are the highest. Google glycemic index for a list of fruits.

Theresa- Sorry for that gain!! But you're still under LDW, right? That GYCD loss was incredible. There is probably some rebound still occuring. Hang in there!

I'm down a bit today to 0.6 over LDW. The lowest I've been since I added running on Sunday . Did a modified steak day yesterday (burger for lunch and london broil for dinner. ) Not too bad, not that hungry and think the lower carbs help. I'm running today and know the scale will punish me tomorrow. I'll do a modified CD if I'm close to the top of the window tomorrow, but if I'm ok I'll just do clean P3. I want to be down enough to enjoy Easter Sunday.

Thanks for the bday wishes! I took a look at the fruit index... berries it will be. And that explains why I had to stop eating oranges in P2 theyre medium to high in sugar. Interesting.
