Stopping P2 Early

Hi! Wanting to get others experiences who've had to stop a few days early. I am just ready to be done w/ P2. I have had 17 plus 1/3 days worth of drops/VLCD. I took my last drops this morning.

I got some advice from Dawn to up my calories by 300 for today/tomorrow.

Anyone else stopped early by 3-4 days and still had a successful P3? I didn't really think it could be too bad but now that I've been surfing and reading, sounds like it could be hard to maintain in P3. :dunno:

I wouldn't do it. P3 is hard enough without the possibility of not stabilizing for a measly few days. Up your protein and stay on the drops but ride it out, that's my opinion. Sorry you're ready to be done, been there.

Thanks Marie - I already stopped the drops yesterday morning.

:goodpost: I agree. I don't advocate ending early, I believe in Dr Simeon's words of needing the 21 days of rest for the hypothalamus. Even if I have had disastrous results or bad luck on a round, I always finish the required 21 days in a round.

Good luck Natasha!!!!

I wouldn't do it either! Simeons was pretty adamant that even women who had lost all abnormal fat complete their rounds to the minimum of twenty effective doses/days, and stabilizing is tough enough without messing with the hCG round length. So unless there is a very compelling reason to short it by a few days (like a pregnancy) I'd resume my drops tomorrow for another few days.

I stopped early, too. I did 19 days, 21 if you count loading. This was my second round and I'd reached my goal. There are other forums where I've read that it's okay to do shorter rounds. I'm only on day 3 of P3 but I'm doing just fine so far.

Happy to report that I'm stabilizing just fine. Day 7 of P3 and I'm .5 above LDW! I've been really good! I added in nuts as of yesterday and dairy since Monday. P3 is GREAT and I'm loving it! Looking to lose the rest of my weight at a slower pace doing JUDDD over the late Spring/Summer!

I'm stabilizing well, too. For me it's P3 day 9 and I'm just under my LDW. I've been careful, especially at first. Last night I had two glasses of red wine which caused a gain of .2 lbs. I find it too hard to limit nuts so I'm avoiding them for now. Haven't added cheese but have added sour cream and HWC - no problem. Have added lots of veggies, some fruits, no bad carbs. I'm not counting calories. This is easy so far. I'm noticing some body reshaping, too!

Remember I was asking about hcg books? I got one on my Kindle called "Weight Loss Apocalypse" and it brings the diet into this century. She uses today's science and research to explain the whys of protocol, and gives research to back up why/how hcg works!!! Think Leptin reset--she says it has a lot to do with Leptin levels. BUT she still says you cannot mess with the foods Dr S has on his food list---even today, with all we know about nutrition and foods, they are what you have to use when you are on P2. It is a program that deals with hormones and indeed a fix for obesity. Not a short term diet that a lot of people seem to use hcg for. I am guilty of that, I know :o with how many times I have gone back to P2. Anyhow, back to the topic at hand.........I think she would say you have to do the 21 day minimum for a round, but I have not gotten that far in the book to know for sure. I cannot wait to read it!!! I will update if I find she says otherwise.

WooHoo!! Nice going on the reshaping. I have never noticed a reshaping in P3 in any round I have done. I will have to notice next time.

Mostly I saw reshaping in P2 but it has continued in a subtle way in P3. I'm just below my goal weight (I'm 5'4" and now weigh about 123). My hips, thighs, and waist are noticeably smaller. I need to exercise to firm up a bit but I'm ecstatic about what's already happened. When to buy new clothes? I have a lot of things that just fit right now. But I have a lot of things that are too big. It's funny, but those too-big clothes make me feel fat - I hate that. And yet I'm reluctant to give them away. I'm waiting until I've been in P4 for a while. There are still those little nagging doubts about whether this will last.
