leona-that's annoying and unfair!! Hope it goes back down tomorrow. You would think it would have the opposite effect? maybe inflammation or water retention? Hope it goes away.

After 2 mugs of coffee/hwc and a bottle of water, & a potty visit I am down to 148.6!! I wish the scale had said that earlier. So, do I continue w the plan for a steak day? I think I will. I kinda' like steak . We'll see. I may decide not to as I have a pork tenderloin I need to make for dinner!!

Hey guys I'm finally checking in!!
Things are good. I cant go on this site at work anymore, big brother is watching now!! So no more surfing the net and reading up on posts. So I probably wont be able to check in as often. I have a friend who just started P2 with hhcg. Her weight loss is going pretty well. She has a question that i thought I would present to you guys. She is asking about medication. She's been on hormones for menopause for a while and is continuing to take them while on HCG is that ok? also she was asking if it is ok to take adhd medication concerta. She may have to start back on that too she said. Just curious about if you guys take meds while on HCG and if these would be ok for her.

I've heard that hormones will interfere. I hesitate to suggest that because I dont want your friend to be discouraged. I think that theres something on it in p&I not sure where though.

I just saw something interesting.. theres a suplement at costco Dr. Pearsall's 500 Calorie Diet Protocol Maximizer its got Raspberry Ketones the latest fat burner and some other cool stuff also good for when you arent on the 500 cal part of the diet... interesting.

I don't know about the hormones for menopause, but I took Vyvanse for adhd during P2 and it caused me to stall. So, I stopped taking it until I reached P3. It was hard because I couldn't focus at work, but it was worth it to me.

Julie, I hope your CD goes well!!!

Here is my menu from yesterday, which is pretty standard for P3 for me.

a.m.
Coffee with HWC, Splenda and SF syrup
2 eggs (cooked in CO)
3 pieces turkey bacon (cooked in CO)

Lunch
Chicken ceasar salad with fresh no-sugar Ceasar dressing

Afternoon snack
7 oz Fage 2%

Dinner
6 oz. Chicken breast
2 oz Fresh Mozzarella cheese
1/2 avacodo
2 small/medium tomatoes

Dessert
7 oz Fage 2%

This put me at about 2100 calories or so. I drank about 80-90 ounces of water.

Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts?

Julie as soon as I get liquids in me my weight shoots up throughout the day, I could never weigh again but glad your potty break gave you something to smile about!

Drew girl you're having a tough time and I just want to send some love

I'm doing pretty good, not sure where I'm not at today cause yesterday was an UD so tomorrow I should be back to LIW (I was 1.4 up yesterday morning) but that was the popcorn and MD fiasco so I deserved that. I'm come to the realization that I just can't have starch or sugar ever, I didn't join JUDDD to be able to do so so I don't care too much, sugar I don't miss at all but sometimes I want that darn piece of bread or not worry about what kind of breading is on something. Oh well

Heather-you make me !! You've got the right attitude and I know the scale will be back down for you tomorrow.

Kim-I agree. How annoying to have to skip online reading at work. What about lunch break?

Drew-your menu looks great!! Not sure if I'd change anything!! Assuming you're used to the CO (made me gain last time I tried it), the only thing could just be calories? Mabye skip one of those Fage servings? Not sure the nutritional content, but is the 2% higher in carbs too? I don't do Fage anymore. Sorry!! Hope your body adjust and lets go of that water.

Had a yummy ribeye at 1:30 (crazy day here, took me that long to get to/from the store!!). I'm really full and may do a "real" steak day afterall. Maybe some decaf coffee/cream for dinner? We'll see.

They're releasing my mom from her skilled nursing/rehab Sat. She's not ready to go home alone. So I'm making lots of calls and losing my mind. My kids are taking advantage of my phone calls, and that's put me over the edge. I am angry mama now!! Look out!! Dd(8) is famous for tearing clothes off hangers and out of drawers to "change" multiple times a day. In an hour she totally destoys her once clean and neat room. Bought her some cute things from Children's place, told her if she didnt' hang them up and take care of them, they were going back. Off phone room's a mess, new outfits on floor behind her hamper in the closet!! Really? Back they go. In the bag got the receipt. Buh-bye!! And, she's up there cleaning her room (I used the term sparkle!!) then will come down to read 2 chapters of John Adam's biography (her history work which she's been slacking from lately). Grr. I need a drink. Stupid ill timed CD!!

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. I need some type of break. My brothers and unlce are calling, mom's called me 4 times, talked to insurance, case worker, care providers. Dh has called twice to "check on me". Answering his calls only adds to the stress!! I want to explode, but can't. Sigh. It'll pass. But I want to yell and scream. I warned dd(8) that today wasn't the day to irritate me. So, she was warned!!

OMG i've missed ya'll!!! Writing visit is DONE, OVER, THAT'S IT! They were floored by my amazing art room....go figure! No need to ride my arse after all! lol who knew!

I'm so behind on posts i don't even know where to start....I will try to get caught up!

I am not certain if this is stable or not...i started p4 monday...haven't changed anything really, x'cept the one glass of red wine! I have noticed though that in the past 3 1/2 weeks I have gained slowly (usually) each day...do a CD, usually pretty successfully....then start creeping back up.....do a CD.....w/ success.....then creep back up! I am looking down the barrel of ANOTHER CD tomorrow maybe? 1lb to go. I have plans to eat sushi w a freind tomorrow night (fully anticipate a cd day after that ). Is that now going to be the norm for the rest of my life? I'm a bit jealous of those who seem to have it a bit more figured out

I still need to eat dinner...need considerable cals to get over 2100+ TOTALLY not hungry and the thought makes me ill! Do ya'll ever do that? I'm actually tired of all the heavy food....I'm drained mentally & emotionally (from work) and fear i'm coming down.....

I haven't read posts yet....but caught a glimpse of Julie's. I'm so sorry for what your going through with your mom GIANT hugs & vent awy! Thats what we're here for!

Hey Theresa!! I felt the same exact way about my cal intake, I finally couldn't take it anymore and ate till I was full whether I got to that calorie mark or not, I hated the pukey bloated feeling and like I was just getting fatter as the day went on, I HATE that too full feeling anyways I didn't care to train my body to accept all those cals because frankly I just couldn't eat that much anyways. Good luck figuring it out hon!

Gosh Julie I'm so sorry! I think you should be fine to have one drink lol, you deserve it. I've been known to have a drink on a CD a time or two because of work Ugh kids sometimes! My kids generally lose it at the time I need them to listen. EVERY time I tell them to clean their rooms or the playroom suddenly I don't see or hear from them for hours, no fighting no bickering, being as good as they possibly can so I don't yell at them to clean their rooms again

Thanks Heather! I actually have had days where I feel"fattier"
Some days I can do it.....just not tonight. Maybe yogurt in a bit My tummy is a bit rumbly and i'm kinda stricken w/ the "vapors"
maybe my bathroom troubles are about to be over and i will have a drop in the am?!?

Julie, I'm sorry that you're going through this with your mom . It's not easy to have to take on the caregiver role, even when they're not living with you. I had to get guardianship/power of attorney over my grandmother because my uncle was abusing her. I took care of her until she passed away in May of last year. Take care of yourself and don't get too frustrated and stressed out. It's a heavy responsibility to take on, but because you love her I'm sure you wouldn't have it any other way. Put everyone to bed early today and have yourself some quite time with a few glasses of wine.

I made pulled pork sandwiches in P3 (of course I had mine without the bun) but it was really good and it didn't affect the scale.

Good Morning everyone!!!

I'm still reading posts! We are a busy group when someone is gone for a week! lol...i promise I am trying to catch up! I truly missed my friends!

I was about 500 shy yesterday for hitting my calories and totally wiped out...but then couldn't sleep at all and had a cheese stick at 1 am?!?!? WHAT? LOL...I HATE that i sleep/eat. I've tried to control it, and it has gotten better but not 100% all the time...and don't ever give me ambian...i will eat the WHOLE fridge! lol...mom has watched me, had a complete conversation with me and i remember nothing the next day! I did take a water pill last night....don't want to take those forever!
I was 268.8 Thursday morning and this morning (whew!) was 266.6! That is a bit of wiggle room for my sushi dinner tonight. I'm already planning a steak or gy day tomorrow! lol...just in case!

TGIF!!! ya'll have a fantabulous day and I will come back and read more posts at lunch!!!

Uggg. I am seem to be stuck at 152.

I started a GYCD, but I had to unexpectedly have dinner with my family. I ended up having 27 oz GY, about 4 oz beef brisket, sauteed vegetables and a small ceasar salad. I would have have thought that would have been too bad.

I can't bear the thought of doing another CD today, so I am going to do normal P3, but will be cutting out the CO and keeping my calories under 2000 to see if that helps.

I will do another CD tomorrow. Probably an egg day.

To be honest I am at a totally loss as to what the deal is.

Tiffany-how sad about your uncle and gma. That must have been stressful and hard!! My mom will be fine, it's just hard caring for a selfish and completely unappreciative person. As an adult, and mom, I look back on my childhood now and realize my mom has always been this way. My dad just covered for her. He was an amazing man.

I'm down today from my steak day (better be, only had 1 steak all day!!) I'm below LDW (for now) but know it won't stay. I'm ok w. that. As long as I stay near it. P4 should start tomorrow. We'll see. This hasn't been a good week. Ironically my first 2 weeks were better? Stupid restaurants!! I added CO last night, had a tbs in my coffee today. Nature's Way-looks ok on the label. Tasted good. Hope it doesn't make me gain. We'll see.

morning y'all, I've been doing SO well on JUDDD except for the last week where even after DD's I'm creeping up...so this morning (after a DD) I'm at 127...2lbs above LIW...so steak day today, sucks...DD yesterday steak day today then DD tomorrow, or should I just do an UD tomorrow? I'm contemplating just doing the DD to get that much more back down.
I'm so frustrated cause I think it's because of my new sleep meds (which side affect is weight gain ) so if that's the case then I have to chose between sleep or skinny?! ugh, well I guess I'll chose skinny cause the sleep meds aren't working anyways.

Hmmmm. I hadn't thought of that. I will have to look back at my chart when I get home. I think 152 was a set point for me.

I think I will do a steak day tomorrow, but break it up with two steaks for the day. There is no way I am letting this gain go. I worked too flippin hard to get in the 140s. Ya know?!?!

I just so want to get to a place where I can eat like a normal person and not always have to say no or feel stressed when I am invited to an impromptu dinner.

On the bright side this is helping me map out my next round. I want to lose more before my trip at the very end of September, but I want to be completely stablized and in P4 well before I leave. So, I am learning along the way with all the bumps, right?

Just popping in to update you all on my most recent health decision. My colitis has been getting progressively worse the last few weeks, and the last several days have been very bad. I was going to wait till after Passover to do this, but I feel like I don't really have a choice. I'm at my whits end with this, and this is my last resort. I am beginning the GAPS intro today. I probably won't be posting much here, it will be too hard to see all the yummy food discussions, but I wish you all the best in everything! It has been a pleasure to get to know you all, and I am thankful for the support each of you has provided.

up a pound today,blechhh. I feel a wreck,headache,and shaky in the mornings. Not sure if i should be back to those "big" breakfasts when I wake up feeling so crummy the next day. Nuff bout me.....

Heather; I think the LouAnna is a weird color and more refined than the nice spectrum CO,they seem more opaque and smell better. So I'm wondering about it,ifThink it's more processed somehow. Did it make you stall any?

Julie: My son is the clothes "changer" here,finally had to get him a clothes stand to hang-up all the clothes he only wore for a few minutes

Question: I have been trying to do JUDDD but not having much success. DD cals of 500-600 are killing me. I have actually gained wt and my pants are feeling tight. Dawn like you I worked hard trying to get the wt off and I am ready to cry!! Should I go back to P3 eating and just try to keep my calories on the lower end? On JUDDD I aimed for about 1700 calories on my UD. I want to lose about 5 lbs and I don't think doing another CD is going to fix the problem.
Any suggestions? I really don't eat bad and try to keep control of my calories even though I hate counting calories!
I thought maybe I should go back to minimal sugar and starches.
My general menu is:
B: either ostrim beef stick or Fage 2% 1 cup
L: protein/vegs or salad w protein and LF or FF dressing
D: protein / vegs.
S: apple (if I have it)
I have even been staying away from the nuts!
I really don't want to do another round of P2. I just can't get below 140lbs for anything!

From the looks of your general menu, I don't think you're getting enough calories. I also see where you're doing a lot of FF/LF items. I believe those are higher in sugar. Also, the Fage 2% is going to be higher in sugar, maybe go with the full fat instead. It took a long time for me to really wrap my mind around this concept that LF/FF items are not as good for me as I was always told.
That's just my 2 cents, maybe one of the veteran ladies can give you some better suggestions. I can't do JUDDD because it requires me to count my calories and I absolutely suck at counting calories. I hope you're able to work it out.

One of the reasons that I was drawn to hcg is the comments and the statistics of people who were on the WOE. They, and eventually myself seemed to beam about the changes that they saw. I don't hear that from people who are on JUDD. Just an observation.

I also notice and once in a while I'm guilty of following the herd when it comes to new fads and new things people are experimenting with. Each time I try these new ideas, it brings me back to the original manuscript and taking it literally. I just want to stay as close to true protocol and hope for the best.

I'm doing JUDDD but I'm doing it LC, I don't care to put that stuff back into my diet any time soon, I'm only in trouble right now cause of bad decisions I made on my DD yesterday Other then that I've maintained at or below my LIW with JUDDD. Your sample menu, is that a DD or an UD? If it's an UD I agree with Tiffany, that's not very much and also agree with her that lower fat or fat free means almost triple the sugar in it.
