Thanks ladies for the words of encouragement and prayers. I don't complain about it because I know that our situation could be a whole lot worse than it is. I have a strong belief in God and know that He will carry us through and make a way for us to have what we need.
I'm sure God has some plan in all of this and your attitude is great!! He always provides. I will be praying for you guys and the disability approval. I hope that comes through quickly.

I will keep it under control tho. Just like steak days dont work for Shelby for instance maybe this is my cyptonite haha.
I am sick of yogurt. I think I've eaten more yogurt this past week than in my whole life. It wasnt bad tasting and it was filling and I felt good.
Not sure why it didn't work? Wonder if the partial GYCD earlier affected this one? It's still stinks!! I think someone else (Millenia I think) didn't lose on a GYCD one time. A later round she tried it again and it worked though. Our bodies are odd. I don't lose on the egg one, others love it!! Hope you find something that'll work. Take a clean P3 day today.

Drew-at least you locked in your 3.6 loss!! That's a good deal. I'm up after my day after indulgences!! When will I learn? Hope you get a good 2nd day effect today!!

I know I overate yesterday. I was up to about 2500cals!! and not good ones . I'm up 1.4lbs overnight!! Still in my window and I know bernice will come by, but w. myself. I seem to self sabotage!! Grrr. Need to eat clean, and at home today. So far my morning coffee and I are off to a good start .

I made and love that cauli fried rice. But I don't seem to do well weight wise on it. I am gonna' freeze what's left. I always gain when I have it (although there are many culprits in yesterday's menu-can't blame this alone). I am also going to avoid choc almonds and cahews today. I'll spare you the details .

Ironically, I was super careful my first 2 weeks of P3, and now that I feel "stable" I'm really pushing it!! I need to settle back into "careful" mode and wait until next week to experiment.

I am starting C25K and know the scale will bounce. I'm prepared for it and will try to take it in stride. I'd also like to get some weights in. We'll see.

In the future I would NOT be surprised if a GY CD will work beautifully. I think the reason it didn't work was because you ate so much the day before too. I'm sure you will find a CD that will work for you. We all seem to find some that work better than others and ones we enjoy more than others. Hang in there!!

I am only up 1 lb from yesterday's weight, which makes me 126.2 and that could be a combo of lurking TOM, bernice or just the few almonds and cheese I had.

Since tonight is dh's bday, I am not going to do a CD but attempt to play it safe. Maybe I will be back down in my window by tomorrow - who knows. I am trying not to freak out since we can have "wild swings" in weight the first week or two.

For anyone who asked, I will provide you with the information on P3 that you requested tomorrow. I have to dig through my stuff at home tonight to find it

Thanks again for all the birthday wishes and good luck to everyone today eating P3 style.

Awesome loss!! AND I hope you have a wonderful day celebrating with Hubby!!

grumble grumble.
GREAT plan and locking in that large loss is no small task!!

I think you are doing a GREAT job. You are tracking how you are responding to various foods and enjoying some treats too. WTG!!

I'm still exercising. I'm doing 2 aerobic miles 5-6 days a week and am up to about 25 minutes of lifting with the Total Gym 3 days a week. I'm doing my TG + walking on Up Days and just walking on the Down Days.

Today is DD # 2 but I think technically it will be my first REAL DD. My first DD was more like a MD. Today is going GREAT so far. I've only had 125 calories and feel good. I'm going to do my 2 miles of walk aerobics then I might if I'm hungry do a green smoothie. If I'm not really hungry and weak after the work out I'm going to put off eating even longer. I've only had 2 1/2 TBSP of heavy whipping cream in my coffee so far for 125 cals. Yesterday was a very fun Up Day... I did splurge and have my ultimate FAVORITE Easter Candy.... Cadbury CARAMEL eggs... YUMMY!! I also had some yummy coconut manna, homemade chili, hard boiled eggs with mayo, and.... GREEK YOGURT... my favorite!!! Some with frozen berries and some with fresh strawberries.

The true test for me will be can I handle the after school stress without running to food. I find my most challenging time of the day to be between 3:30 & 6 p.m. When the five boys get home and the house erupts into chaos. I don't handle chaos well.... I get stressed. I'm going to try to take my anti stress supplements today at 3 and see if it helps me to remain calmer in the midst of the chaos!

I'm STILL waiting for TOM to hit (four days late now). I've been cramping for 2 days now, just little irritating cramps, but no spotting yet. GRRRR! BUT I've decided to NOT let TOM dictate how this first week of JUDDD will go. So... moving on!!

Have a GREAT day everyone!!

Good morning ladies - I am up .2 today. I have been consistently bouncing between 119 and 119.2 for this whole week, with the exception of one day where I jumped up to 120.

Yesterday I started a liver cleanse that I did last year, and it really made me feel better physically. It's a protein shake (mediclear, formulated to cleanse the liver) you have as many fruits and vegetables as you want, and healthy fats. You're supposed to eat every 3 hours minimum, and I remember last year feeling so full all day long... But I actually lost weight on it, and felt so much better after those 2 weeks. Last year when I did it I was trying to rule out food allergies, so I didn't allow any dairy at all, but this time around I plan on using my HM kefir and kefired cream, and hopefully that won't make a difference in how things work. Still waiting on Tom, grr...

that sucks, I've done a GY CD and I actually gained from it, I'm one of those who doesn't do well with GY at all, I've noticed small gains where that could've been the only thing (when I ate it as a snack or what not) I'm so sorry that sucks!
The only CD's I've found that work are the steak day and chicken thigh day. Keep your head up

I woke up with an upset stomach this morning so whatever is causing that could have caused the gain also. I started adding Metamucil to my diet last week 3x per day and I think that may be the cause. Or, it could simply be the fact that I'm addicted to my GY and am eating waaayyyy too much of it everyday. If that's the case I'll just have to be sick everyday because I my GY.
Sorry you're up, it probably is those dern hormones. Hope you're not getting sick...

Oh man, 5 boys can create some serious chaos!!! I only have 2 and they are like little Tasmanian devils swirling around the house... but mine never leave because we homeschool! I love the days when I have doctors appointments or something else that gets me out of the house without the kids. Just driving in a quiet car is such a treat! I'm hoping you can find something that will be like a little oasis you can look forward to, right around the time when they come home... Maybe a special cup of sweetened coffee? Just something you only allow yourself to have once the chaos has begun, so you have something to look forward to as well. That's kinda what I do in the evening when I have to correct all the days school work and get things ready for the next day. I allow myself to have a glass of wine. It's my treat, and I can only pour it when I'm heading down to the school room to do my "chore." It's pretty good incentive!

morning ya'll so after not weighing since saturday (sunday was MD, monday was UD with popcorn, yesterday being DD) I have no clue how much it bounced around, so anyways damage is done at 1.4 above LIW that's the highest I've been since I got into p3 (I'm in P4 now but not really I don't think I'll leave p3 eating) so I'm a little bummed but with a couple of dd's I'll be back under LIW I'm sure....I hope sucks to know that I just can't really have starches without the residual gain afterwards, sometimes I just want that d*** pb sammich and ruffles ya know?!

I had my first laser hair removal treatment yesterday! It wasn't as painless as my sisters said it was, those liars! But it was tolerable. I'm so excited to NOT have to shave "down there" anymore... Hope it doesn't take too many treatments!

Heather, you're funny! I was terrified to begin homeschooling... But we were kind of given no other choice. We don't like the public schools around, and private school isn't something we can afford. All that leaves is homeschool! I have learned, though, that it's not a bad thing at all. There are days where I butt heads w/ one or more of my kids, but not too often. For the most part I really enjoy having the freedom to do whatever we want, whenever we want. We've taken day trips, vacations, gone dirt bike riding, exploring, snowboarding, and just taken the day off 'cuz we wanted to! And we don't have to make up any school work, and I don't have to worry about them getting behind in class. Plus, our summer break is longer than everyone else because we finish sooner. We only do 170 days of school where our local school districts have to put in I believe a minimum of 185 or something.

I love the flexibility of HS school and do find that homework after a full day away it a PAIN! I home school my teen daughter and will most likely have 2 of the boys home next year. We put all 5 of the boys in school this year for various reasons. We ARE blessed with a GREAT public school. They are absolutely AMAZING with my autistic son, and my littlest has speech difficulties and they have been fabulous with him too!! My two smartest boys will most likely come home next year... they need the challenge of going at their own pace with me being able to keep their learning advanced so they don't get bored.

Last year I was having some heart issues.... severe arrhythmia... it has gotten better but is not totally gone yet. I'm still working on getting my "stress" more manageable, my thyroid corrected (with the help of my naturalpathic Dr.), and working on proper levels of magnesium and EPA/DHA with my cardiologist (Dr. William Davis, author of the book Wheat Belly). I was hospitalized 2 times last year in July & August, one time they had to stop my heart to get it to re-set b/c it had raced at 180 BPM and higher for 3 full days. Now I only get little spurts of arrhythmia and I am choosing be be un-medicated unless I have an episode that does not stop within an hour then I have a med I can take. Usually I only have to take it 1 X a month at the most.

ANYWAY, my soon to be 7th grader HATES public school, he was home schooled for 3rd - 5th grade. And my soon to be 3rd grader is really wanting to come home to do school. He only home schooled for pre-school/kindergarten. My teen daughter is a home body and does not ever wish to go back to public school or private school though she is interested in learning accounting and possibly making that her career choice. We will do an accounting unit next year and see what she thinks then!

I do miss having my kids all here all the time and not having to bend around other schedules, other than church. But we have always prayerfully considered each child's needs and schooling options before making the choice for each year. I never thought I'd ever home school, just like you Leona, but for my daughter it really is the best option for her. And I'm leaning heavily toward bringing home some of the boys next year. I'd like to see my youngest son stay in for another year or 2 since the speech pathologist is fabulous and taking him in for ST 3 times a week would put a wrench in our daily school/chore schedule. I like how this school handles K - 4th grade too, so don't have any concerns about his ability to learn the basics. My oldest boy really wants to play foot ball and must be a full time student to do so. BUT like I said we consider each child's individual needs and he is struggling in many areas and might not get to remain in public school.... time will tell.

Drink water!!! Maybe you're dehydrated? It will fill you up at least. Sometimes I make a big pitcher of iced tea and that helps...
PS you shouldnt feel guilty about eating some yogurt and chicken. even if youre on a cd it couldnt be bad. at worst you wont loose but sometimes you just need a break.

Hey girly... EAT!! Do you like coconut oil?? Your body may be needing the extra fat with the hormone issues going on. Have some coconut oil melted in tea/coffee, find some more protein to eat too. Sometimes I feel like I'm GORGING on fat & protein and the scale never hates me for it... it is only when I gorge on the things that have "natural" sugars in it that I see that scale go up.

I always forget about hunger being a cue for your body needing water sometimes.

LOL! I forgot you and Shirley HS too. We just started this year. And, like you guys, I was scared. I don't want to mess up my kids. But schools in AZ are awful!! My dd(8) is ADHD and had an awful time in 2nd grade. She got suspended 3 times for bascially nothing!! it was a very frustrating year. And dd starting thinking and feeling bad about herself. So, for her, the ability to move around a lot, and get her work done quickly then move on, is a big bonus. she's a genius, but distracts easily. My older dd asked to be HS. She's a bit lonely this year, but loves not having homework. She's got vball practice and at home she gets to practice even more. It's working well. I'm not as disciplined as I should be. We dont' keep great records. Next year my older dd will start Jr High and I'll need to up my record keeping. Sigh.

Shirley-your son can't play ball unless he attends the school? here our kids can do the extra curricular stuff of our "home school" even if they don't attend. Except our local school's vball team is stinko!! I need to look into music and foreign language classes. I may be able to get those too.

I haven't done as well today, food wise, as I had hoped. I did take some stuff out of the freezer so I can have grab and go options tomorrow. I'm gonna' have a little GY w. some PB in it. Hope the PB isn't a problem. I added some yesterday, but with all the other overeating I did, I can't tell if it was a problem or not. I guess there's always tomorrow's weigh in .

Julie, the league our school plays in requires that the kids be full time students of the team they play on for High School Sports. It is a bummer.... my son is not making wise choices, and hubby and I have had to tell him that his character and heart are a LOT more important than football. Depending on his choices... he might not be able to play next year because he will be home schooling with me. Tough love!!

I'm sorry your day hasn't gone as you had hoped! :-( Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it.... as Anne Shirley would say! :-)

I've actually stuck really well to my DD. I'm not feeling really well this evening... but am fixing some mint tea and hope it will pass. I had a nasty tummy ache that sent me RUNNING to the bathroom (sorry... TMI) a little while ago. I've eaten 681 calories and am calling the day DONE... which puts me between the 30-35% mark with the calories for the DD.I made myself a little chart for my weight in 5 pound decreasing increments and figured what my DD amounts would be at 20, 25, 30, or 35% which are all weight loss percentages according to Dr. Johnsons website. I know I will eventually be able to get down to the 20% but I'm not ready yet... I was hungry this afternoon after my 2 mile walk aerobics.

THEN I did ok when the man cubs arrived... but ended up hungry getting them a snack so had the rest of my calories then.... 3 hb eggs w/ a little mayo and 1/2 cup of GY... YUMMO! Not bad for a DD! :-)

We will be busy tonight at church and choir after church so I should stay busy enough and be able to make it through the night. The tea will help... and I've been SOOO tired this week. I've been in bed by 9 each night and expect to fall into bed as soon as we get home from choir. Unless I log on here to read and unwind a bit.

Hey Ladies sorry about the MIA, washer went down, and we homeschool 2 here and one is in Public so it got a bit crazy.
Shirley,Julie,and HCG:using LouAna CO maybe I should be using a better grade/quality.
Thinking of whether probiotics may stir up yeast. I feel a bit off,TOM is lurking but not here so i chowed a few potatoe-rice flour chicken nuggets. So Bamm up a pound and huge stomach bloat. Kicking self, old habits trying to sneak up on me.
Solution:
1. Stay in the loop/keep connected with ya"ll
2.Got a new tracker app,so I should behave here on out.
Seriously i'm such a glutton for the numbers.
3. CD tommorow if numbers rise.

p.s why isn't my pic showing

I personally would not use the LouAna CO from Walmart... I cannot remember why, but I looked at it and put it back?? Is it hydrogenated??? I love Wilderness Family & Tropical Traditions CO the best. Nutiva is good too. These are my 3 fav's and in that order. I like expeller for cooking and virgin for topical usage. YES CO will help to kick the yeast, bad yeast, candida yeast out of your body along with any lurking parasites. It will also help to build good flora in your gut and balance it. Also helps with increasing metabolism, clearing up skin yeast infections (vaginal or athletes foot type fungus), clears up skin issues like psoriasis, helps decrease wrinkles & stretch marks by smoothing the skin and making it ever so soft, etc. It also is a GREAT sun screen that will not only prevent burning but allow you to tan well while your body is absorbing the Vitamin D... regular sun screens BLOCK the vit D. Sorry... I LOVE my coconut oil!!

Probiotics will not necessarily stir up the yeast, but in fighting the yeast, the yeast likes to fight back. Eventually the probiotic will WIN!! Probiotics fight the yeast by overloading your gut with healthy bacteria... yeast bugs don't like that!! They lose because the more good bacteria you feed your body the less chance the bad ones have to thrive.

Your kiddos & school situation sounds like mine... definitely crazy!

TOM finally caught up to me... looking forward to eating on my UD tomorrow... sad that there is no surprise baby in my future.

Shirley-good for you!! Tough love should be my motto . Too many parents are so worried about being their kid's friends, they're forgetting to raise them!! Kids need discipline and boundaries as well as love and encouragement!! Every time I read your posts about CO I remember I need to get some and give it another try. Payday's Friday, need to get some.

Apple-a lb after that starch? You'll be back tomorrow. Glad you have a good app to hold you in check. Nice to see so many HSers here!! Not sure about the pic?

Well, dd(11) and I went to Panda Express for dinner. (chinese). Got chickenbreast/string beans, and mandarin chicken (no sauce), and steamed veggies. All good choices. Dd got my soda for me very nicely. I was drinking it for a while (6-7 sips or so?) and thought it tasted a bit off. Asked her if she was sure it was diet pepsi. She said it was the one on the right. Nope. That's the regular!! What can you do? I'm sure the scale will be up tomorrow. Again. Sigh. She meant well. I have been drinking lots of water since I've been home, but fully expect I'll be out of range tomorrow. And it wasn't even something fun, like chocolate. Sigh.

Good morning ladies. Whew!!! Yesterday was an extremely rough day for me. My TOM caused me to be in such a bad mood that I had to leave work early so that I don't snap at everyone around me . I had munchies that were so severe you would have though I had done some illegal activities . I somehow made it through and still lost 1.8lbs this morning. . This put me right back to where I was before my gain yesterday morning.
Thanks ladies for the hugs and support yesterday when I sent out my cry for help. You ladies are the best. I hope the scale is pleasing to everyone this morning and that everyone has a wonderful day.

Hi all. I'm the same weight as yesterday which is good. The bad part is that I'm now 5 over LIW... GULP!
Steak daying it today. If this doesnt work I will have to cut off an appendage or something... please give me the strength to get through this day. I brought plenty of green tea and water.

Woke up this morning to an army of ants in the kitchen, grr. At least it made me loose my appetite, haha.

I woke up to a 2.0 gain this morning This after having a totally normal P3 day and great water intake.

This puts me up 4.6 from my LDW and 2.6 out of my window. I am going to do another GYCD today and see what happens. I am just at a totally loss as to what I am doing wrong.

On normal P3 days I am taking in about 2100 calories. Maybe that's too much? I can't imagine it would be too little.

Any veterans of P3 have any ideas? Any tried and true methods? A part of me is terrified that all my weight is going to come back. There must be a fix to this....

Help.

Staying the same is better than a gain!!! I hope your steak day works out for you today.
I hate ants...that would definitely make me lose my appetite, ugh!

Well Lara and Drew-I am joining you in CDland again today

Lara-at least it's not continuing to go up!! That's stable I guess. on the ants!! I'm doing 2 steaks though. I can't skip eating all day.

Drew- not sure what's going on. I do think maybe your calories are a bit high? What's your typical menu? I remember you said something about cookies b/4. Maybe it was too early to introduce "goodies". I am around the same weight (or should be ) and try to stick to about 1900cals a day. When I'm not eating out, I have tried to keep my protein and fat g's about the same each day. It was working well for me until Sunday. Hope you can figure it out!!

I'm up a lb overnight (don't think the regular Pepsi agreed w. me!! ). Sigh. I really don't want to do a CD. My first 2 weeks went great. Now this week I'm at the top of my range or over it. I guess it's been all restaurant meals that have caused these CD's, now that I think of it. Sunday Sweet T's, then CD. Yesterday Panda, then CD. But come on. I can't eat out? Or if I do I have to do it P2 style? That's not living!! Maybe I need to work my way down to the lower end of my window? I was there a little bit and really liked it!!

Plus, I'm adding in exercise next week. I fear this scale fight and CD nonsense w/ all of that. Especially the weight training.

Ok, sorry about all of that whining. You guys understand. I was really enjoying this P3 for a while there. It's time to suck it up, do my steak day (my version is 2 steaks, one at lunch, and one at dinner). I'm allowing myself to go out and buy whichever ones I like. I don't care how much they cost today . I'm worth it . That'll soften the blow at least. And hopefully I'll be below LDW tomorrow morning.

I'm also going to buy some CO while I'm out. It's time to dabble in that. I may wait until the day after my CD. If I rebound I don't want the CO to be blamed. I tend to rebound anyway.

Ok, now I'm just rambling. Sorry!!

yay for steak days! lol...

My 41st birthday is next Saturday and I would like to eat some carbs on that day so I need to get going on these corrections so I can have a little wiggle room.... I would like some low sugar gelato from Frost too!

So I have a week to do it. I've done it before and I will get this down!

127.8 today. Woo hoo!!! And this is after overeating sugar one day, then following strict P3 the next day! So relieved I am actually stable!!!

Which brings me to the things I have learned--I cannot bring "snacks" into my home. I just love the Ciao Bella ice cream sandwiches (4 to a pack), and I am powerless to resist eating two at a time. So I can't bring them into my home. And usually when we go out to eat, I'm too full for dessert by the time I've had an appetizer and entree, so I have very little sugar to begin with. So no need to indulge at home.

I have also learned I do better listening to my tummy when it tells me I'm full. And this means very often I do not finish what's on my plate, or the serving size of yogurt, etc. I do much better when I eat less. And don't snack.

Hope all of you are doing well! I'm so excited to be stable, and starting to think about when I am going to re-start the diet to lose these last 8 pounds.

I'm up 1.4 this morning, putting me at my highest point this round 120.6. I did nothing wrong yesterday, ate nothing off, all foods were prepared by me so nothing hidden. I did have a colonic yesterday but not sure why that might cause me a gain. I am .2 below that 2 pound limit, but not going to do anything about it today. I'm going to keep on with what I've been doing and hopefully I'll be back down again tomorrow. I'm getting sick of this.

Julie and Drew - Sorry you guys are up too, I guess today was just not our day.

Lara - No gain is a good thing!

Lady - Great loss!

Garnet - Awesome that you're so stable!
