A little help please!

Guys,

I am struggling - really struggling. I would eat the coffee table at the moment and I have literally just finished my meal. How do you guys do this? Please tell me your secret. I have been fine for the past few days but today has hit me like a truck. Could really do with some encouragement. I have lost loads already so its not that its not working. I have lost 7 lb in three days. I am struggling so much today.

Help me!!!!

your first week is always the hardest are you hhcg or rx? sometimes that makes the difference, how many times you take it (for hhcg) or the dose on rx. It does get better I promise! When I was really hungry I had coffee and that helped, some people take naps keep yourself busy? I spread all my food throughout the day so I felt like i was constantly eating. Hope you feel better

Try drinking more water/tea and distract yourself, this seems to help me. Eventaully I could determine the difference between real hunger and head hunger.

Hang in there!!

Have you tried P2 Chili?

This is the recipe I've seen in the recipe threads but I usually end up winging it with the spices each time I make it. Linda Sue has a recipe for taco seasoning that I put in it usually. I also leave out the salt (and MSG)

100g 95%lean ground beef (sometimes I'll use chicken)
160g Hunts Fire Roasted Tomatoes w/ Garlic, or home roasted tomatoes
1/2t chili powder
1/2 t onion powder
1/2 t garlic powder
1/2 t cocoa powder ( don't leave out, it is crucial)
pinch of salt, and black pepper to taste, and a shake of cayenne for punch!

Thanks! I have seen the recipe but wasn't sure about it! great to have a recommendation! I will try that tomorrow. I did kind of spicey oven baked chicken with tomatoes today. Tasty but did not hit the spot. Will give that a try tomorrow!

I'd definitely recommend doing rX hCG if you are struggling with hunger. I've used it for two rounds now and not had more than a slight empty feeling, even in the beginning of P2. Unbearable hunger means it isn't working properly to release your fat stores to feed your system, and arguably most/all hhCG has that issue.

Get the real stuff if you can, because gnaw-your-arm-off hunger isn't normal or healthy!

Thanks Artic_Mama. Good advice. I am actually doing this as just a trial to see if it worked for me at hHCG level. I have an appointment with the doc for perscription drops (is that rX?) . They cost an absolute fortune - about $1200 per month. Injections are not available here. I am not sure if it is genuine hunger or if its the massive change of lifestyle - I binge a lot and I had a seriously bad day at work. I would normally be stuffing my face just now!

Moo- i also recommend the orange ginger chicken. Its on one of the first pages in the recipe thread. I do that with half an orange and a big lettuce salad. It feel like a big meal then later on i have my other half or an orange and melba. I lost well for a few weeks justnhaving that for dinner amd the p2 chili for lunch. Good luck and hang in there when you get to goal it will all totally be worth it!

Make yourself strawberry lemonaid tomorrow... it is one of my FAVORITE phase 2 treats:

1 serving of strawberries frozen
juice of 1 lemon or about 1 tbsp lemon juice concentrate
stevia to taste or sweetener of your choice
1 cup of very cold water.

Throw all ingredients into a blender and blend until slushie.

or Strawberry Ice cream
1 serving frozen strawberries
1 tbsp milk
vanilla cream stevia or sweetener of your choice
1/4 - 1/2 cup water

Put in a blender. Start with 1/4 cup water, stop blender and scrape sides a few time to see if that is enough. If not drizzle only a little at a time until you can get smooth creamy strawberry ice cream. We have also made this with Valencia Orange stevia and that makes it taste like strawberry sherbet. YUMMY!

Hi, thanks moocow to replying to my post about cheating on protocol. I feel your pain. Check out L-glutamine, it's supposed to help with cravings, I am going to start taking tomorrow and see if it helps.

One word, withdrawel. Your body is going through withdrawel phase and craving the kinds of food you used to eat. Just be strong, the feeling will pass and you won't crave the other stuff anymore. It takes a few days for your body to start to experience the withdrawel symptoms that's why the first few days were not bad, then suddenly your body is like where's the other junk food and when is it coming? Be strong it will pass.

You are bang on the button here. I stopped smoking 2 months ago and what I am feeling right now is exactly like what I was feeling in those first few weeks of not smoking. I managed through yesterday, no cheats (yet! ) I just hope I am can keep this up. Had a complete freak out this morning about how much I have to loose and that its just such a mountain to climb. Recognising it as withdrawal is really going to help. Thanks

Will try the orange ginger chicken too! Thanks guys - really appreciate it!

I think we've all had those thoughts at one point or another - I certainly have. It's been a long journey so far but I'm not done yet. If you create small goals it will make the journey much easier! Maybe even rewards too! Small rewards for small goals then you can set up a big reward when you're at goal! Yeah!

You got this!

Well. It's not THAT long if you stay focused and determined. I lost 105 lbs in 9 months. I did low carb for 2 months and 2 90 day rounds of hHCG. I always say that if you would have told me such a loss was possible, I would have thought it would ONLY have been possible through weight loss surgery. It CAN happen. It WILL happen. But you have to want it more than anything, including the foods that call to you that won't reward you with success but will keep you mired in failure. I was just as much a junk food addict as the next person. I had so much weight to lose that I thought it was impossible. I stand here today a total success story. Why? Because I had not only the tools for success, but the support for it here in these forums. Keep your chin up!

Which brand hhcg are you using? My first round I used Fusion and was hungry until about day 8 or 9. My second round I switched over to Intermountain and was not hungry (except for normal hunger at meal times) from the start.

I am using the intermountain drops. From everyones comments here, they seems a good choice. Today has been a bit better ! Woohoo! I have a weigh in tomorrow with my pilates trainer.

It is so encouraging to hear all the stories on here of folk that have managed to loose the same and more weight than me. It really helps - wow this forum is good!!!

MY WORD - 90 days???????? WOW! can you do that on hHcg? How has your maintenance been? I am terrified of phase 3. Would love to know more about how you managed - the 90 day cycles and the maintenance.

LOL the reason my first round was so long was because I was terrified of P3! Honestly though, I got into a rhythm and was still losing and was slimmer than I had been in 20 years and it was some major incentive. Yes, you CAN go that long on the homeopathic but you really have to watch out for going protein deficient as I did my first round.

As far as being scared of P3... DON'T BE and this is coming from someone who was! I really think the trick is to ramp up slowly for the first week, no dairy, etc and don't go crazy. I stabilized wonderfully both rounds. My 2nd round ended right before New Year's and while I had some bumps in the road, here I am almost 3 months later still in my LDW window. But then again, I have resigned to low carb being a permanent WOE and I think that is responsible for my doing so well. Carbs and I will never get along, as long as I embrace that - and enjoy loading up on cheese, butter, bacon and avocado along the way - I am positive that the weight will stay off!

You can do this!

P.S. Exactly one year ago, I was in a size 22/24. I am now in a 10/12. Don't freak out about how much you have to lose, just take it one day at a time!

When I first started my journey on March 7, 2011, best case imagined scenario... I would have been happy with a 30 lb loss... ecstatic with a 50 lb loss... when I broke through to ONEderland I sobbed like a little girl (I had not been under 200 lbs in almost 20 years)... when I bought my first normal Misses' size Large I sobbed again... lol okay when I bought my first size 10 Levi's jeans I also sobbed... my point is... there were so many wonderful milestones to celebrate and be grateful for... now imagine what YOU will feel like having similar experiences!

I have 11 pounds to go to get to the ONEderland club! I am just hoping I get there. 160 is my goal - it seems so far away. My pilates trainer was well impressed with me today and has set me a goal for next week of 2 lbs! She doesn't know I am on HCG. The hard bit for me was I used to be a really healthy weight and I used to be so active. Everytime I reach a goal, I seem to almost harder on myself that I had that goal to reach in the first place (if that makes any sense). I am in a negative frame of mind about the weightloss and its hard to snap out of it. But I have got to, it isn't helping! This forum is wonderful for the positivity vides
