So... I'm nervous about getting on the scale tomorrow but I'm going to do my 2-3 mile workout yet tonight.. so maybe that will help to work off some of the LOVELY organic mint chocolate I ate today.

Tomorrow in between the rain drops I hope to get a section of my garden ready to plant onions and garlic. I walked out there this evening and found that the row I had onions in last year has about 50 onion plants already. I guess we didn't harvest them all.... OOPS... but I'm going to thin them out and let them grow away... early onions... YUMMY! Can't believe I'm ready to start planting and it is March... this is totally NOT normal for Wisconsin! I have GOT to get my tomato plants started too. The weather is so nice maybe I'll be able to get them into the ground sometime in May... so I better get them started. I need to get the peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage started too. I might buy some of that special garden material that allows the sun & rain in but keeps the bugs out so I get a decent crop of each of these this year. We are loving those lower carb veggies and it would be REALLY nice to get a bunch that I can freeze (broccoli & cauli) or (cabbage) keep cool and store for the winter.
That is so great having your own garden is so rewarding. I always grow hot peppers, I love thai chilli peppers and last year we experimented and grew a crop of assorted peppers and they were all great!! Last year was our first time growing other plants as well. We grew beans, peas, tomatos, watermelon, egg plant and squash. Squash bugs really did me in on the squash but the other plants did well. What is the stuff you buy that will keep the bugs out?? I would like to get something like that.

Today I have maintained that 2lb weight loss from my Gy CD. WooHoo. So I am 3lb above LIW where I've been hanging out for a while. I was actually hoping to drop a little more but I cant be upset with staying the same!

I am up .8 today from my "upping the calories" experiment. It would seem my body doesn't like 1740 calories. Oh, well. I was feeling too full most of the day anyway and I really hate that feeling. I wasn't even finished with dinner and wanted to stop, but forced myself just so I could see what happened. Still only .4 above LDW, but what can I say, I like being below it!

I'm going through with my plan for today. GY for breakfast w/ a few blueberries, GY for lunch, and then I'm planning on a nice caesar salad w/ grilled chicken for dinner. So far it's only adding up to 1400 calories for the day...

Thank you! ugh! and my parents get here saturday with my BBQ! lol...I NEED to be down to 264 again so i can over indulge in that brisket! I would think that the water weight would be gone from TOM...but who knows...plus i have that crazy mirena in and my body still isn't used to that though it has been three months...and i had one before?

I'm doing well today. Up 1lbs from my choc almonds yesterday. In all, not a big deal, and actually quite encouraging. In the past, that would have been a bigger jump (as would my weekend indulgences) so I'm really encouraged. I'm pushing the cals up this week, been 1900-2200 all week, and still around LDW. (0.6 over today). That's all good in my book . Hope this next week stays nice and stable. It's my 3rd week in P3, and I think I will actually do a full P4. I'm thinking of starch/sugar options already. I don't really miss those much. I do like my choc. almonds or raisins (but I've already added those in!!) and my froyo (it'll be nice to have more flavor options, only 2 that are SF from this one place we go), but aside from occasional steel cut oats, sweet potatoe fries, or maybe a slice to toast w/ my eggs, there's not much I miss. Well, truthfully, a good piece of pizza w. crispy crust would be welcome . But, overall, I think the way I eat in P3, which is basically Atkins style (I've been doing that for almost 10 years!!), will still be my WOL. I'm content w. it.
the french!!! I try to teach my kids at school as much as I can, though I am getting rusty!

I will try to post my menus when i get home tonight...the only thing i can think of is i've had extra HWC each day...but 5+lbs in 2 days???
Ok, gotta go do recess duty! I'll "see" ya'll tonight!!!

You're too funny!! you're only up a little bit, normal fluctuation, from eating more cals! I would be thrilled, not worried. You want to train your body to take those calories and burn them, not store them. If you stay down too far, you're telling your body "this is all the food I'm gonna' give you". I'm up 1lb overnight, 0.8 over LDW and not sweating it!! I think you (and I) are doing great!! It's a whole new world here in our smaller bodies . Enjoy the adjustment. I do fear going over LDW, as ideally I'd like to get below there eventually. But, overall it's way more fun to eat a bit. I hope your plan for today goes well!! How are you liking that GY?

Shirley-I've said it before, and I'll say it again, "can I come live with you?". The farming you've done, and are planning, sounds lovely. What a great way of life for you and your family!! I def. have a part of me that longs for open spaces, animals and the simpler life. Being connected to our own food production would be great too. LOL!!! I've had an hcg bud that I met online come spend a day on the farm. It was TOTALLY fun! So if your ever in WI give me a jingle. Your kids would LOVE the farm, animals, gardens, etc. And I cook some pretty mean down home, real food meals!

So excited your feeling good about your maintenance weight. I think it makes a HUGE difference in our stabilization when we are "ok" with where our bodies want to be stable!

There is a material you can find in gardening magazines. It is a white cloth that allows in sun & rain but keeps out the bugs. My friend who runs a 5 acre garden CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) uses it and has really great success. He uses it until the plants are well established and it seems to make a big difference in the ability they have to thrive even if there are bugs.

Up .8... girly.. you are doing AWESOME!!! Maybe your comfort zone is more like 1500-1600. Your menu today sounds YUMMY though.. enjoy!! I can hardly wait to hear what you think of the GY... I made 2 gallons of yogurt this week. Hubby & I already went through 1. He stuck to his GY CD and lost 1.6... I didn't... and gained .2 WHICH I am not complaining about since I had 3... yep THREE Barley & Oat Wasa Crisps... WITH butter spread on them... YUMMY! I'm in phase 4 and really felt like some starch. Three was over kill so I'm thrilled with only .2 gain. I'm doing well today, having an egg day. I started with 3 HB eggs at about 11:30 with mayo & mustard. I'm not sure how many eggs I'll have today, I'll go by my appetite.. and if I'm not hungry, I might make today more like my first DD.... not promising myself ANYTHING b/c I'll be doing lots of work in the garden, pruning apple trees & raspberries, then doing some tilling so I can get in a row of onions and a row of garlic. OFF I GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

morning everyone

two week JUDDD induction ended yesterday so UD cals today (been doing) and then tomorrow I can start playing around with my DD cals. I was supposed to be getting 500 during DD induction days but averaged between 350-400. So maybe my playing around will amount to getting it up to 500 As of this morning's weigh in I'm still at 124.8 so .2 under LIW...seems amazing I've only been above my LIW twice and once was before JUDDD the second time was after my pb & goldfish fiasco. I pb but even natural seems to be the devil whether pb hates me or not looks like I'm pretty stable, I'm in p4 starting tomorrow but like Julie I don't plan on eating "p4" I love eating p3 I only miss the occasional "sandwich" sometimes fries too but I can live without them and even if I indulge, JUDDD puts me back where I was before that treat. Taking leave Monday to go see the Hunger Games (yes I'm obsessed, I've read all the books twice so far) and it's an UD so I will be partaking in popcorn

How all you feel about GY I feel about cottage cheese I eat it every day! Wonder if Full fat cottage cheese could work as a CD though I'm not willing to be the guinea pig

O...M...G. I canNOT believe the conversation(s) that I had this morning! This woman woke me up at 4:30am calling. Insisting that she was related to me, asking me where I lived, what my first name was, did we know each other, what my phone number was, what my address was, etc. At first I was trying to be polite but after 15 minutes on the phone with her, I was like "WTH??? It's 4:30am, lady!" She didn't know what time of day it was. She thought it was evening! She sounded quite mentally disturbed as she called me...again...and again...and again...and AGAIN! Asking the same questions over and over! I finally ended up calling the sheriff and giving them her info. I don't need someone stalking me! Sheesh!

To make matters even more fun, I ate some very limited carbs yesterday (breading on chicken) and I was up 1.3 this morning. Keeping it a super clean DD with lots of water. UGH!

I am bug-time grumpy pants this morning! And the conversation that I had with this lady is totally freaking me out! These people at work better LOOK OUT--is all I have to say!

I woke up to a 3.2 gain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTH?!??!?!?!?

The only thing slightly shady I had was five pieces of SMALL bbq chicken wings, that are NOT breaded.

I am riding it out today and will do a CD if my weight doesn't go down tomorrow. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

WOW what a PSYCHO! Was she on drugs?! That's sooooo weird! Sorry you gained that sucks, hence why I don't weigh after UD's, I get depressed and lash out at everyone lol my poor dh

Shelby-that's a bit creepy!! Hope that's the end of it!! Sorry!! on the scale. It'll be back down tomorrow.

Heather-I like cottage cheese too. But I'm a snob about that too!! I like the creamy kind, most restaurants serve. I buy Shamrock Farms 4% fat A little splenda and a few strawberry slices - I do prefer my GY though . Do you indulge on your UD's? Are you keeping those pretty LC? I'd be sorely tempted to indulge (was, back when I gave it a try). Glad it's working well for you!!

Shirley-we'd love to come see the farm. If we're ever in the area!! I did spend several days in Madison some years back-guest lecture at UW. in JAN!! Brrr!! Hope your garden does well!!

Just had a taco salad (homemade grass fed GB, but had packet taco seasoning for the fam). Hope it's ok on the scale tomorrow. Can't be much impact overall. Yummy!! Marinating steaks for dinner. Carpool driver tonight for vball practice so we're out from 6-9:30. Sigh.

Shelby - That is probably one of the freakiest and strangest thing I've ever heard! What a wacko!

Drew - So sorry... those unexplained gains are unnerving!

I can't believe I've never tried GY before! I grated some fresh lemon peel, added a few blueberries and sweetened w/ vanilla stevia... I LOVE it! Definitely buying/making more soon!

so, since I am on netrition getting more coconut oil and flavors for my coffee...i'm forgoing the manna this time...didn't do all that much for me! lol...BUT i was looking at the pellets...they are $30 for a 40 day supply....I pay over $160 for Rx
Do ya'll take pellets or drops? and has anyone ever gone from Rx to Hhcg? I would hate to switch and it NOT work for me...but I sure would love saving some money! The drops seem confusing to me...I sure don't want to have to do any mixing....

Vanilla stevia in GY is my standby. I add a bit of fruit or just plain with the stevia is YUM! Sometimes I'll add my grain free granola too, but it doesn't last long.. the granola that is b/c my kids LOVE it! :-) I usually have to try to hide some so I can have a sprinkle on my GY... speaking of that granola.. I'm thinkin that if it rains like it is supposed to tomorrow... I'll be making me some!!

Leona, one of my real food foodie friends shared her homemade yogurt recipe with me today. I thought you might be interested b/c of the level of probiotics in this yogurt as I know you are looking to build up that healthy bacteria in your gut. I have NOT tried this yet, but it looks simple enough. I also have not gone online to try to find the probiotic she uses... I'm going to though b/c I'd LOVE to try this recipe. It would be SO nice to not need a start of yogurt but simply one of these capsules!!


Here is Janets Yogurt Recipe:

I make my yogurt using a capsule of Golden Health Products, Inc. Flora Pobiotic Plus. This contains 15 probiotic strains with 22 billion viable cells. I add one capsule into a 1/2 gallon of room temp. milk, whisk then put into a 30 quart cooler. (I can fit 4 1/2 gallon jars in it.) Then I add the hottest tap water just to the edge of the lids, close and let sit all day or over night. In the evening or morning, I then replace the cooled water with hot water again. I leave it go at least 24 hours, up to 36. I have randomly tested batches and never found it be above the 110, but always cultures beautifully. I then do the same as you to strain about 1/2 the whey leaving creamy Greek Yogurt that I whisk smooth. YUM! I don't add any sweetener. My family each add their own stevia, maple sypup, etc.. Also works for "mock" sour cream on taco salad nights

I need to break out my yogurt maker. I bought one back when I was doing lc years ago to get some that didn't have HFCS in it....i need to try greek this time around.

I was busy today, piano lessons (I teach from my home) and working in the garden. I finished pruning the apple trees, and pruned the raspberries along with cleaning out the rasp patch of dried weeds and burdock plants (we have a large raspberry patch). Burned it all.. finally made it inside to make supper at about 6 and felt exhausted. I guess my energy and endurance are not as good as I would like still. Made me crabby.... and I had not planned dinner.

I grabbed some organic turkey dogs to throw in a pan and cooked up the rest of the thawed grass fed beef. Then I made hubby his egg salad to finish his egg day. The only thing I felt like eating was kefir. So I had a kefir smoothie with some strawberries... and made that plus some vanilla cream kefir for the family to go with the meat. I had 1 cup of the strawberry kefir and 1/2 a burger with mayo.

Now I'm hungry and still should do my work out but I don't think I have it in me tonight. I usually do my lifting and walk aerobics sometime between 7 & 9.... I don't think I'm going to attempt it today. Maybe my work outside was enough. I feel REALLy guilty for wanting to eat when I didn't do my workout. BUT I don't like eating this late... NOR do I like going to bed hungry... so I think I'm going to have a HB egg or some GY, just a little. Then off to bed... I'm sleepy!

Shelby.... praying for your protection.... as for the rest of you all... here is to skinny dreams and a light touch on the scale tomorrow!

Wow, thanks! I may have to try that! I sooooo enjoyed that GY today, but I don't know that I like it any more than my kefired cream... It was just a very nice change to have some berries I think. I do like the idea of my yogurt having more strains in it than just the typical few that are in yogurt. I bet any decent probiotic would work...

Sorry your day was so busy it got away from you. No fun. If it makes you feel any better my energy has NOT been the same either. I got exhausted yesterday just pushing my cart full of kids (yes, the 6 and 9 yr olds rode in the cart, roll eyes) around in Costco.

Ok, lil better...I was back to 266.8. Not QUITE the loss i had last time...and i took a water pill...didn't feel bloated...but I did have "doughnuts" around my ankles! lol...not total cankles like I used to have in the past! I am going to still take it lite today...I have my greasy () chicken thighs I cooked last night...the skin was crispy last night...not so much this morning, but still good! lol that is going to be breakfast and lunch. Got my coffee w/ HWC and a cheese stick for later...just in case I need it.

I have to say, I have been really good. There were doughnuts yesterday at our faculty mtg...I didn't even think about taking one...not interested really. The girl scout cookies are still untouched! Now, my parents get here tomorrow with brisket...look out BBQ'y goodness! Can we say SALT???

Shirley....AND you teach piano??? Again, what don't you do???
Leona, I feel ya! There are days I can't seem to drag myself around...more so than others!

I'm P3D5 today, loving it! I added in 300 cals to 1955 total (yesterday) and was down .2 today.
120 even!!!!, LDW was 121.4 This is so different from last time, I was already up 10 lbs.

I was a little scared I'd be up today with the extra calories, and I had sclerotherapy on my legs yesterday to treat varicose and spider veins, thought for sure I'd have some inflammation from the 100 times they injected in my veins. (Want to thank Shelbyla for this, I'd never heard of it until you had it done!)

I'm off work until Tues, hope to be more active in here after this busy week!

It's Friday!!! Make it a good one!

Did you all hear that CRASH at 6 a.m.???? THAT was me throwing my SCALE out the window....no not really but I gained 1 pound and I behaved myself yesterday... didn't even eat any Coconut Manna, which is RARE for me!

As I vented to hubby and told him if I don't get back down in the 140's again, I'm doing another short round b/f his nieces wedding... he said... just give JUDDD a fair shake for 3 weeks then we'll see where you are at.

THEN... I pulled out the calendar to count my days b/c I want next Friday, the day I'm hosting the Usborne Book Party to be an Up day.... oh, I think someone asked me what that was last week and I never answered. Usborne does home shows like Tupperware and Pampered Chef, I'm hosting one. ANYWAY... much to my disappointment today would HAVE to be a DD.... ..........I am NOT in the mood for a DD... so I ate a triangle of the egg caserole I made for the family (eggs, cream, sausage, sauted mushrooms & onions topped with sharp cheddar) then I went out to milk the girls..... got some fresh rainy air, saw my handy work from yesterday and still felt that I gained.

Came in, sat down at my desk to come here and connect with people who understand, got out my calendar and looked... GUESS WHAT???? TOM is supposed to start tomorrow and it ALWAYS causes a gain for me. Now, I still feel like crying BUT I'm so excited b/c my last two TOM started 3-5 days EARLY... tomorrow will be day 28 and WAHOOO no spotting yet... maybe my body is recovering from the hcg trauma.

Ok.. now I really need to figure out what to do, I don't do well emotionally "dieting" when I'm at the start of TOM... I'm totally in control from about my heavy bleeding time until ovulation... I really think I need to wait for my first DD to be one of those days that I'm totally pumped about losing weight and following rules (I'm WAY too rebellious at the beggining of TOM)... so JUDDDing will begin within the next 5-6 days depending on what TOM does.

I'm still going to study my calendar and see when I can start a short 21 day round IF JUDDDing doesn't work it's magic on me. I MUST be in phase 3 by May 17th............... realistically by the 10th so I can do the first week of phase 3 at home here BUT...............I'm not that thrilled with another round...............BUT I don't like being in the high 150's. ALL these BUT's make my BUTTTTT FAT!!!

Ok.. thanks for listening to me girls.... done... moving on..... trying to process what is next............... going to get some GY, b/c I'm hungry..............then maybe a shower will help with my down mood.

I'm very excited for those of you who woke up to a loss... and for everyone else who hasn't checked in yet today... as you head into the weekend I hope you have a GREAT one!!

As I vented to hubby and told him if I don't get back down in the 140's again, I'm doing another short round b/f his nieces wedding... he said... just give JUDDD a fair shake for 3 weeks then we'll see where you are at.

THEN... I pulled out the calendar to count my days b/c I want next Friday, the day I'm hosting the Usborne Book Party to be an Up day.... oh, I think someone asked me what that was last week and I never answered. Usborne does home shows like Tupperware and Pampered Chef, I'm hosting one. ANYWAY... much to my disappointment today would HAVE to be a DD.... ..........I am NOT in the mood for a DD... so I ate a triangle of the egg caserole I made for the family (eggs, cream, sausage, sauted mushrooms & onions topped with sharp cheddar) then I went out to milk the girls..... got some fresh rainy air, saw my handy work from yesterday and still felt that I gained.

Came in, sat down at my desk to come here and connect with people who understand, got out my calendar and looked... GUESS WHAT???? TOM is supposed to start tomorrow and it ALWAYS causes a gain for me. Now, I still feel like crying BUT I'm so excited b/c my last two TOM started 3-5 days EARLY... tomorrow will be day 28 and WAHOOO no spotting yet... maybe my body is recovering from the hcg trauma.

Ok.. now I really need to figure out what to do, I don't do well emotionally "dieting" when I'm at the start of TOM... I'm totally in control from about my heavy bleeding time until ovulation... I really think I need to wait for my first DD to be one of those days that I'm totally pumped about losing weight and following rules (I'm WAY too rebellious at the beggining of TOM)... so JUDDDing will begin within the next 5-6 days depending on what TOM does.

I'm still going to study my calendar and see when I can start a short 21 day round IF JUDDDing doesn't work it's magic on me. I MUST be in phase 3 by May 17th............... realistically by the 10th so I can do the first week of phase 3 at home here BUT...............I'm not that thrilled with another round...............BUT I don't like being in the high 150's. ALL these BUT's make my BUTTTTT FAT!!!

Ok.. thanks for listening to me girls.... done... moving on..... trying to process what is next............... going to get some GY, b/c I'm hungry..............then maybe a shower will help with my down mood.

I'm very excited for those of you who woke up to a loss... and for everyone else who hasn't checked in yet today... as you head into the weekend I hope you have a GREAT one!!
Shirley...first off, AMAZING that you can keep track of all that! My hat is off to you...I can't keep track of if I fed the dogs or not! lol...they let me know though luckily! You are an amazing woman...don't let the evil scale get you down!
I was the one who asked about the book party! I LOVE books...i have a problem really.....i need a 12 step /ocd/hoarding program with my books!

I'm P3D5 today, loving it! I added in 300 cals to 1955 total (yesterday) and was down .2 today.
120 even!!!!, LDW was 121.4 This is so different from last time, I was already up 10 lbs.

I was a little scared I'd be up today with the extra calories, and I had sclerotherapy on my legs yesterday to treat varicose and spider veins, thought for sure I'd have some inflammation from the 100 times they injected in my veins. (Want to thank Shelbyla for this, I'd never heard of it until you had it done!)

I'm off work until Tues, hope to be more active in here after this busy week!

Ok, I'm mentally freaking out because i only had 2 thighs for breakfast, and 2 for lunch...mentally I am thinking I'm not eating enough.....I don't know what to do. I only lost 3+ lbs on my GYCD which puts me below my ldw...but MENTALLY i wanted back WAY below my ldw! ugh....i need to remember more is not always the best thing! So at dinner I will up the cals and fat to get closer to my range.

I placed an order w/ netrition last night for coconut oil, flavorings, etc...I'm still toying w/ the idea of switching from Rx to Hhcg? What do ya'll think? Think I would mess anything up by switching? It really is SOOOOOOOO much cheaper...and as a teacher....well, less is more! lol

Leona- at your dh comment - eat the skin when he's away so he won't judge you!! Totally get that and it's !! Enjoy the movie. It's totally sold out here in AZ. I'd like to go, and dd wants to see it, but we'll ahve to wait. Sorry your GYCD didn't drop you down more. But, you really don't have much there to lose. I guess w/ the bloating it'd be nice to get that off. Hope TOM comes soon. Maybe you're Pg? Just a thought!! :rollseyes: I think you're doing great. And locking in this weight, even if you have to do lower calories than you'd eventually like to eat, should give you this as a set point to use when you do up your cals.

Theresa-going from out of your window to under LDW in 1 CD is commendable!! Congrats!! Have fun w. your folks tomorrow.

Shirley - and at your scale!! mine is afraid of me too!! TOM's messed up for me, came early today!! but what can you do? I hope it goes back to normal. I miss my clockwork. If anything, couldn't it go longer between visits? Is that too much to ask? I think you'll do great w. JUDDD.

I'm doing well. TOM arrived early today to surprise me . But, the scale STS. I guess that helps explain my complete lack of resistance for those choc. covered almonds the past 2 days . I can usually resist, but boy did I want them!! So, still 0.6 over LDW w/ TOM in the house, makes me happy! And I had a yummy steak for dinner, sauteed fresh green beans and more almonds!! 1938 calories. 119.4g fat, 177g protein. 54%fat, 24%pro, 21%carbs. I am thinking back to something PrivateDiva shared about how she stabilized so well. She makes sure to have the same amount of fat as she does protein in a day (by weight, not cal %) and was stable as a rock. I've pretty much done this, maybe slightly higher fat most days. I am quite happy w. this plan. .

Have a great weekend!! I've got pork country ribs in the crockpot w/ homemade LC BBQ sauce. I hope it comes out well.

Enjoy your weekend. Dd has a vball tournament, only it's the afternoon wave so we start at 3PM and go until past 9PM AHHH! That should make for a long day!! Should be 90 here this weekend too!!
