what do you do rogue?

Hi there,
I understand many people do "Protocol" a little differently. This is my third round, sadly gained everything back from rounds 1&2.Anyway,I want this to be my final round! I have the hcg pellets and really like those, but know I won't be able to do straight chicken veggies......I know I need to mix it up or I'll be bored and not go all the way.

So what do you do that's rogue?

I buy sweet onions and cook them in coco oil (I did this almost every day) I'm a creature of habit so I don't mind the same thing every day.
I rarely ate both fruit
I put a little coco oil in my coffee in the morning
If I didn't feel like a second veggie I upped the protein to 3.7/8 for dinner to make up the cals
I use splenda

I have gone very rogue so here goes...
I use up to 5 T HnH in my coffee
I mix and use as many LC vegies as I want
I don't eat fruit or grissini
I drink homebrewed Kombucha daily
I eat from 5-10 oz. protein (whatever I feel I need)
I use a pkg. of shirataki noodles daily
I have had 2 "cheats". One was when we had to put our doggy down and I had a much needed beer. The other was last night I had my fill of corned beef and had a Guiness.
Cals seems to average around 700 (except for last night).

I feel great. Hardly ever hungry. And weight seems to be coming off at about the same rate as my strict protocol round.

Subscribing! I would post what I do that's rogue, but hcg isn't working very well for me this round, so I don't want to give any advice, since I def don't have it figured out yet!

I will say that I could never give up chapstick or gum, and I had a very successful Round 1 using them. (I buy the dessert flavored gum to chew after my meals).

I eat 2-3 oz of beef for breakfast
I eat 6 oz of protein for lunch and dinner
I eat a pickle (no sugar added) at night if I hungry
I will add in extra protein if I am really hungry
I mix veggies on a green salad, generally onion, radish and celery
I use walden farms salad dressing (not sure if this is rogue)

I generally average .5 lb per day lost, less if I go longer, but not letting myself get too hungry allows me to do longer rounds.

I do NOT consider gum rogue at all. Unless you are chewing gum with sugar in it.

I am the first to say "do it as the book states"!!!! But do a few things different since my round #1 year ago......

I have coffee every day on P2.....with cream. I consider that rogue because I do not keep to the 1 TBL rule. I don't measure how much I use and if I have 3 cups of coffee that day, then I have 3 servings of cream. Cannot have coffee without my beloved cream. I decided to try a few days without my coffee to see if I could lose better with no coffee and found out after a week without that I lose at the same rate as with my coffee (and cream) so back in it went!!! Yay for coffee!!!

My other rogueness this round---I am using 2 drops of argan oil on my face daily. And a few drops in my hair. Just have really gotten used to it on my P3/P4s and want to continue doing it on this P2. I am using it much more sparingly though on P2 than at other times. We will see how it goes and if I will continue with it.

I sure wish I could lose doing all those things. Bigger than losing---I wish I could KEEP it off after doing all those things

Wow! Quite a mix! I also use s/f screamer and don't count that toward my daily total, also does not seem to affect my losses. I admit on my last round I had a vent s/f vanilla latte from starbucks and that didn't appear to affect anything either..... I also cannot give up my lotion since I have psorsiasis and that would be a recipe for disaster.

I'm rogue but stick strickly to the no fat/ low fat principle of the Protocol:

4-5 oz meat at the two meals -- I also eat venison since I have a freezer full
Salmon or tuna in pouches that are 3 grams fat or less per serving.
1/4 cup 2% milk each day in my morning coffee.
A great variety of veggies: broccoli, zucchini, green beans, a couple of frozen mixes as long as they are low carb. And I mix the veggies.
Walden Farm 0 calorie products, especially BBQ sauce, cocktail sauce and coleslaw
Butter Buds or Molly McButter (fat free "butter")
FF cottage cheese
FF liquid eggs

The greater variety of proteins and veggies makes it possible for me to stick to the plan easier.

Pretty much the same as I do, I kinda up my protein alot, but I don't have the melba toast or fruit every day. Some days I want it...others I can live without it. Been steady so far at atleast a lb a day

I was hungry last night and had some more protein. I still lost weight. For me, I stick to the plan and then do one thing differently, then see what happens. I'm still new and just figuring things out.

Getting ready to start R2P2.

I noticed that some of you use coconut oil. Read on another board that someone mentioned they use 2 to 3 Tbls of MCT oil a day on P2 with good results. During my first P2 I never did do the milk and I'm wondering if I do a little MCT instead of milk...wondering. Anyone have experience with MCT oil on P2?

Also, considering doing some protein for breakfast this round. And mixing veggies...OMG! I don'wanna go Rogue!!!! Ahhhhhhhh!

Ahh... come on in, the rogue water is just fine. I don't want to upset the apple cart, so I quit taking MCT oil a few days before P2. I've lost 10 lbs. in 11 days, so my style of rogueness is working for me.

These are the only things I've done off strict protocol and still lost pretty decent:

eat green beans, collard greens
eat 100 cals worth of lite popcorn some days
eat a little more than the 3oz protein some days
use ground turkey instead of ground beef
sautee my cabbage and spinach in a bit of evoo nonstick pan spray

I ate more protein, and dumped the melbas last time. Ate a lot of veggies, too. And exercised lightly most days.

This time I'm embarking on the 800 calorie protocol, which basically involves eating a protein and a fruit for brekkie, a tad more protein at lunch and din, and expanded veggie options. Plus one salad per day that you can mix lettuce, cukes, tomatoes, onions, radishes.

I used nonfat Greek Yogurt for protein some days. Also used Whole Foods fat free cheeses (sharp cheddar and pepper jack). They are delicious and have only 40 cal per ounce. So I could have a big hunk with my apple for lunch...and it was very satisfying to me.

I had less than a round's worth of lbs to lose, so I added protein once I was at goal in order to finish out the round without losing more than I wanted. I used protein powder to make shakes or pancakes and that was a nice break from protocol foods.

If sugar free torani and gum count as rogue, that's all I do. More the latter than the former, I try to avoid Splenda.

Slight threadjack here....you look smokin' in your picture!! How fabulous you look Wow!!!!

Funny story....I was making a spinach smoothie yesterday for lunch and wanted to use yogurt instead of the cottage cheese (the yogurt was open and I didn't want to open the cottage cheese just yet). Just before I poured the yogurt into my VitaMix I realized it was FULL FAT yogurt We don't buy fat free anything and even low fat is hard to come by in my household!! So I didn't think anything of it. It always pays to read the label. I ended up using that cottage cheese in my shake yesterday.
