Brand New to HCG - A Little Scared

Hi everyone!

I've been stalking these HCG threads for the past 2 weeks.

I've learned a LOT... but for some reason, I'm a little nervous about the negative effects HCG can have.

A lot of people say good things, and some people say some bad things...

However, I decided to go with it and got mine today - it's HHCG.

Some of the negative effects I've read includes things with monthly cycles and things like that...

I had a hysterectomy a few years ago and I'm wondering if this will cause any problems for me?

I asked the person I received the HHCG from and she said that I should be fine.

But I just wanted to check here to see if anyone has some insight on this?

Overall, I'm excited to get started and join you guys in the discussions!

I'm going to start loading tomorrow (should be fun )

Anyone else starting tomorrow?

Thanks in advance...

I haven't really noticed any negative side effects...except this round I skipped my period. Other than that, nothing...no headaches or crankiness, nothing. It might mess with your cycle a little (although do you still get one?). It's only for a month and if you notice things you don't like then you can stop.

Good luck with loading. Highly recommend you eat high fat, low carb. Avocados, heavy cream in your coffee, fatty steaks, cheese, nuts. Stuff like that.

I really doubt you will have any issues just cuz you had the hysterectomy. I would say just the opposite! Weight loss and feeling good.

You may go through some type of detox but just push through.

Well wishes! HCG is a gift!

PS: You should get some magnesium capsules ( not tablets) for constipation and biotin for hair loss prevention.

I'm sure you will do GREAT! Hcg helped me lose 100+/- pounds, and I couldn't lose anything before. It's a great program, just follow the original Pounds and Inches manuscript and the P2 threads and ask all the questions you want.

Stevie Renee is right, mag capsules are wonderful, potassium helps with possible leg cramps also. Make sure to drink lots of water. If you get a bit of a detox effect, just try to rest a little more and take an aspirin or two if you need. It'll pass.

Thanks for the advice, encouraging words, and the welcome!

I really appreciate it.

No, I don't have TOM anymore, so hopefully I'll be OK.

Well, I messed up already... was supposed to load today, but I forgot to take my HCG drops!

It started with breakfast... was so excited about eating my sausage, eggs/cheese, and toast that I completely forgot about the HCG until I was half-way through the meal!

Then... I said I'd just continue and be sure to take it with lunch and dinner.

Well, I left for a meeting today WITHOUT the drops... so, did not have them available for lunch .

So... I'm just going to start loading tomorrow... And I have my drops right on my desk so I won't forget to take them!

I hope this extra day of loading "without the HCG" helps me out in some kind of strange, weird way (yeah, right... wishful thinking)

I'll keep you posted!

just in case you're confused, you don't need to take your drops with your meal... it most be taken at least 15 minutes before/after eating/drinking anything.

Good luck

Thanks for the welcome!

Yes, I was confused ... I thought I had to take the HCG dosage 15 minutes before each meal.

Thanks for the clarification!

I had a total hyst. Last year. I completed round 1 of HHGC last winter and was very successful!
No side effects. I have never felt better. More energy, feels wonderful to go from a size 18 to a size 6!
I wanted to mention that I was using a hormone patch after my hyst, and I had to discontinue that while on the HCG. If you are on hormones, you may need to stop them for the time you are on the program. Stopping the hormones did not cause me any problems while on the program, in fact I never went back on them :-)
Wish you great success!

Hair Loss

I suffered hair loss on a VLCD before. Can anyone speak more to that? I already happen to be taking Biotin (5000 mg) and using Biotin shampoo. Is there anything else recommended? Has anyone else experienced hair loss? I'm just on Day 4.

TIA

I didn't - but I took 2000 mg biotin, (Solgar) each day of P2, as well as the rest of my regular vitamins. As far as I know, that is as much as can be done.

I have some quesitons also please...

I am going to try Hcg and I found HCG Patches does anyone know if they are the same? They dohave the X14 X60 etc on them so I am thinking they would be ok?

Also I have Diabetes2 and am already losing my hair.BUT I just started taking Whole Food 9aday+vitamins They are made with organic ingredients and include the following....
Vita,C,D,E,K,B1,B2, Niacin B3,ThiaminB2,RiboflavinB2,Vit B6,Folic Acid (from Soy),Vit B12,Biotin,Calcium,IronFerrochel,Magnesium,Zinc,Se lenium,Chromium &Molybdenum Glycinate.
Would I still need to order Magnesium and Biotin since it is already in these vitamins?
I take 9 a day.

Thank you So much.
