Theresa-
on the donuts! Sounds like mild edema. Can you rest w/ your feet up this evening and drink lots of water and tea? Sounds like you're def. retaining water. The GYCD is my favorite. Straightens out any tummy issues, and I peed a million times the other day on my GYCD. I didn't like the chicken one (minimal loss 1lb) and the egg one ruined me for eggs for a while and gave me NO loss!!Hope yours goes well. I love GY so it's not even a hardship for me! .Heather-so glad you're doing well w/ JUDDD! And the GYCD doesn't work for you!! You gained on it? Wow!! W/ 32oz? That's crazy!! I'm sorry. Maybe you're sensitive to yogurt? It's definitely my favorite one, feels really decadent and indulgent, not like a punishment!! But, you're not alone. Other people have had a hard time w/ the GYCD. Another YMMV thing I suppose.Shelby-thanks for your JUDDD translation! I'm so happy it's working well for you!! I just baked a lb of bacon to take camping. This way I can throw it in the frying pan quickly Sat. morning then make the eggs in the little bit of grease they leave as they're warming up. Much faster and less messy this way too!! We're doing all beef Hebrew Nat'l hot dogs over the fire Friday night, eggs/bacon Sat morning, lunchmeat/cottage cheese for lunch, chicken foil pouches for dinner Sat., and out to breakfast Sunday morning!! I will also allow a SF Dilly bar from our regular DQ visit, and am bringing along the Diamond cocoa almonds (splenda and AceK sweetened) for a treat while the rest of my gang does popcorn and smores! I really hope to come back at LDW. We'll see. I guess that'll depend on how I do on the scale tomorrow. I suppose I'd be happy to just be in my window. But I've been really carfeul so far, and don't think 2 days w/o my scale will hurt me. But, you never know. Bfast will be the only wild card but the place we always go (Coffee Pot Rest. in Sedona) makes great omlettes and I get cottage cheese as the side.I hope you all have a great weekend. We're trying to leave early tomorrow to enjoy the whole day up in Sedona. I hope to take lots of pics this trip. I've gotten out of the habit lately. I need a good "after" .

Yes Theresa, I'm trying not to get too annoyed by Tom's absence, but I have a laser hair removal appointment that I've already had to reschedule because I thought Tom would be here... It's for my bikini line, and I'd so much prefer to not have Tom visiting while I go there!

Leona-hcg messes w/ my cycle too. It usually brings it early, not late though. A baby would be a lovely surprise!!
Do any of you guys just get tired of paying attention to everything you eat? I find myself just wanting to throw caution to the wind and chow down as I see fit!! We went to Freddy's tonight (not sure if you have them where you live, like Culver's) anyway, they make delicious burgers, shoestring fries (like Steak and Shake in FL), and homemade custard. It's phenomenal!! I was good though, got my lettuce wrapped burger, sauteed onions and just watched my dd's and dh eat their fries and custard. It's not junky ice cream, it's real custard!! Yum!! Anyway, just a little whine to those who understand- will I ever be like "everyone else" and able to occasionally have this type of food and relax about it? I really hope(d) Simeon's claims of metabolism/hypothalmus reset were legit. I know some have said they feel like it's happened for them. It's too soon for me to say, but it's highly unlikely that'll happen for me. I will probably always have to watch. But, I do plan, once securely through P4, to dabble in SAD eating. I know if I'm careful and do a CD the next day I should be able to stay in my window. But I look around at restaurants and see what other people eat and wonder why aren't they fat? I highly doubt they go home and run 5 miles or eat only chicken thighs the next day? Sorry to be a bummer. But, I was just reflecting on this tonight. Growing wearing of being careful .Anyway, on that note, I'm off to drink my flavored water and then off to bed . |

I am already getting sick of plugging in all my foods, and micromanaging everything I eat. I don't, however, believe I will ever be able to eat 'whatever' I want like Simeon said. I know from trial and error, that my body does not do well w/ grains at all. I seemed to do fine w/ potatoes here and there, and even some sugar on occasion, but not grains. Even gf grains are hugely inflammatory to me. (sigh) It is hard going out to eat, and being the only one w/ food 'sensitivites.' We don't eat out much because two of our kids have celiac, so it's very hard for me to trust restaurants. But even eating at my own table I have a hard time with feeling restricted. You are not alone. As far as the laser hair removal, this is my first. Both my sisters have done it though, with great and lasting results. There may be some stray hairs that begin to regrow, but after 6 treatments, which is what I bought, they should be very minimal. That's what I've been told.

On an up note! I was down SIX (6) pounds this morning!! ![]() ![]() ![]() now i know i will most likely show a gain in the am. I did take a water pill...got NO sleep due to bathroom trips! My dogs were not happy about being roused in their sleep every time mommy had to piddle! BUT GYCD is my NEW BFF!!! lol and I even had an ounce and a half of crack last night! Lol...i crack my self up when I say it like that! Sounds horrid of me! I hope everyone has a great day! I will check in at lunch. It is going to be a long day. I have a gallery reception this evening an hour north of where I work for some of my students....then a two hour trip back to my house! and I wore heels...WTH was I thinking??? |

Morning ladies and happy FRIDAY!!!!! Sitting around waiting for Bernice to arrive. <sigh> These things always take time especially when my body thinks it's 5am but the clock says 6. Gah. DST--NOT a huge fan!
Anyway, I had and interesting moment last night. I have what I like to refer to as reverse body dysmorphia. Whenever I look in the mirror, I see the same size, regardless of how much I weigh. It's not that I think I look bad, it's that I can't really "see" the change, kwim? It's only pictures and clothes that tell me that I've truly lost or gained weight. Well, last night, I was standing at the sink, taking my makeup off... Keep in mind yesterday was an UD so I had eaten a HUGE amount of food... And I thought to myself, "Damn, girl! You look GOOD! You look THIN!" This, my friends, was a huge moment for me. I could actually SEE myself and how I looked. It was a little strange in a good way. Different. I think my mind is catching up with my body! ![]() And thinking about this, I don't really care what the scale says! (And it is up 0.6 pounds but after what and when I ate yesterday that's perfectly fine!) Today should be an interesting DD as I will be ingesting a good portion of my calories in alcohol and oysters. We'll see how THAT goes! ![]()

Today, I’m exactly the same as yesterday. I usually stabilize perfectly around week 3. Now that this is 4th round, I like to do 5 weeks of P3 before moving into P4. But I since went up this past weekend, I’ve been real careful and trying to eat more clean (b/c I did finally lose those pesky 2lbs). I miss my fatty fatty greek yogurt!!! Cabot, I need youuu!!! I want to endulge a bit tonight. We’ll see.
I have to say…I’ve been having fun with smoothies this past week. Frozen berries, Jay Robb protein, lots of ice, a dash of cream cheese, one splenda. YUM! Last edited by Millenia98; 03-16-2012 at 06:39 AM.. |

![]() It's funny how food and what I can have and can't have seems to be on my mind most of the day. I have a "very skinny" friend who "eats because she has to not because she wants to" attitude but she has always been that way. She complains because she can't put on weight. Oh to have such problems just for a week. ![]() Well it's Friday!! So far I have been doing JUDDD for 4 days and I am down 4 lbs. Hope it continues...it would be nice on an UD to be able to get ice cream with my kids one night. (they would probably fall over!) ![]() |

well after a DD i'm up 1.6 putting me 1 over my liw...whatever it's partially my fault since i ate a pb sandwhich and goldfish for dinner, I was in too much pain from the dental work I had and just didn't give a crap, litacaine and pain probably helped my gain as well, well head down and keep moving is what I say, great thing about juddd is i lose every dd when i'm good, last night i was not

I really think humans weren't designed to eat the processed junk that is so common (and tasty) today - and so much of what I read indicates that the processed foods set up an "addiction" cycle of craving ever more even when your body/metabolism doesn't need it. That said, I do enjoy the occasional treat - pizza and beer is my favorite - and I indulge once or twice a year ... at which point some heavy individuals might think that I can eat like that daily and stay slender ...

Yes--my weight is sticking in the low 140's--142.7 this morning to be exact. That's 1.3 above my LDW but still comfortably in my REAL window (not all those "adjusted" windows that I kept making for myself!) AND yesterday was an UD with yoga so I have a feeling I might see a whooshie tomorrow after the inflammation dies down (my yoga instructor is the DEVIL even if he is cute as a button!) and my DD today. We'll see. There will still be the white wine factor to contend with. (I've got an event tonight so saving my DD calories for that.)

Wow Ice! GYCD does agree with you! WTG!
Shelby - So glad you're feeling and seeing your loss. It's amazing how our mind can trick us into seeing what's not really there. I suffer from the same thing, but it's getting better. Heather - Sorry you were up. I guess sometimes we learn the hard way. I hope your mouth is feeling better, too. Millenia - Those smoothies sound good! I've been a bit afraid to try fruit yet, but I'm getting quite a few carbs in my morning juice... so, fruit in addition, I'm afraid would kind of throw me over the top! |

I'm the same today, sitting at .4 under LDW. Ate over 1700 calories yesterday, including more carbs than I have been. I ate 73 total grams of carbs, all in the form of veggies. But I've been trying to keep them under 50 each day, which has been hard with my morning juice. Who would have thought carrot juice had so many carbs in it?
I made a super yummy dip to go with our meatloaf last night. I took one large ripe avocado, 1/2 C sour cream, a whole bunch of cilantro, and a couple jalapenos and pureed it all in my food processor. S and P to taste. It was soooooo good! And I ate more roasted broccoli than I had allowed myself, thus putting my carb count over! No harm done though. I'll probably see if I can get away with a few more carbs today as well. Have a great day! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cong rats Ice!!! Glad that your GYCD worked out so well for you. I expected to see a gain this morning after having that huge loss yesterday but it wasn't as bad as I expected, I was only up .4 lbs. I can deal with that because im still below my LDW. Enjoy your day, anytime I have a good weight in the morning, my whole day seems to go great...ENJOY!!! |

Shelby: Congrats on your break through. You are skinny girl!!
Happy Friday!! Well, it's spring break week here this week and I've spent the whole week with my kiddo's. The last 2 days my DH has been off and been with us. We've been having too much fun and too much food ![]() Today I weighted in @ 7lb above LIW!!!!! I cant believe that I really let myself go this wild. Doing a correction day today. Not sure which one. I was looking up the different ones out there this morning. Hope that this really works!! Guess I will have to do several correction days to take off all the extra!! ![]() I have been doing so well till this set back!! I did it to myself so I only have myself to blame. I am starting Round 3 April 1st, cant wait to start- looks like i really need it!! Hope this correction day works ![]() good luck everyone

Lady and Ice - Wow! Great job on keeping off those losses!
Kim - Sorry your up, that's such a temptation for me, enjoying good food with my family. We loooove to eat around here! I've been making chocolate chip (gf) pancakes for my kids the last 3 weekends in a row, and let me tell you, it's hard not to eat one. I'm sure you'll be able to get it down though. That gycd seems like a miracle! I'm the same again today. 3 days in a row. I'm feeling pretty good about it. I'm going to up my carbs even a bit more today, adding in an apple. We shall see how it treats me. Have a great weekend! |

![]() I'm still trying to stabilize...hopefully this last cd will do it! Quote:
I made the best veggie for lunch! I took two cups of cabbage and cooked it in my bacon drippings w/ a tablespoon of butter and garlic...i would have put an onion in it if i had it...and ate it with a chicken thigh...omgee! I feel like i'm cheating! But it was so good!! I'm going to try to add in an extra veggie with dinner and see how that goes...since I am technically a pound below my ldw window...but i'm NOT complaining! loving it! |

Good afternoon ladies, I hope that everyone is having a great weekend and that the scale is being pleasing to all. As for me, I guess my GYCD is still working on me because now I'm 2 lbs below my LDW. I keep waking up to a loss, even when it's not expected. I know that it sounds like I'm complaining...believe me I'm not.

DD yesterday netted me a loss of 1.7, down to BELOW LDW, and I even ate oysters and had wine last night! I am so excited that I am finally finally stabilizing at the bottom end of my range. Corned beef and cabbage in the crockpot and it smells like St. Paddy's day around here!
