I will of course guzzle about 120-150 oz of water this afternoon and green tea after lunch

Not sure what about dinner...last night i didn't want to eat anything, but didn't want to not eat. I had some steak and strawberries for desert. But even now at lunch...i'm still full from breakfast and don't want to eat...lol.....I have NEVER not wanted to eat!
You are doing GREAT! You are wise to limit your cheese. I've seen many that struggle when they add in too much cheese too fast. I have a friend that really struggled between rounds and this round she has kept cheese and nuts out almost completely... the 1 or 2 times she had them he weight REALLY jumped... BUT without them she is staying solid in her zone! WE each have to learn what our food limits are.... and once we think we figure it out we do another round... then it all changes!! At least for me I've had to learn a NEW balance after each round. What worked for one round does NOT necessarily work the same after the next round.

BUT... if you think about it, after each round we are slimmer... so it ONLY makes sense that we might have to adjust our portion sizes or the amount of some of those "trigger" foods or they will cause problems. I always tell people to be prepared... that what worked for your first phase 3 might NOT work exactly the same for the second phase 3... then it might just change again for the 3rd phase 3... etc.

AND remember Dr. Simeons tells us that the weight will bounce around quite a bit during phase 3. It is simply part of the process!

HI

Day one vlcd, I tried this yesterday and thought I was gonna die. My head hurt so I did another load say and feeling fine now. I even lost two lbs but I hope it didnt mess me up? I think I really need 3 load days and 4 days to get it out of my system... anyhoo I guess I wil mosey to the p2 thread now

Wow I have been trying the same thing with the calories but not with the best success. I think the calorie intake is my problem but it's not like I eat that much. I manage to stay around 1600 with the fat 60% ish and protein 35-40%ish. I have thought about trying the JUDDD but can't image only 500 calories every other day. I know we do it on HHCG but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Glad to hear you are having some success away, I know how frustrated you were.

Well, I DID end up eating significantly last night--let's just call it an "Up" day at around 2000 calories. I also ate salty and kind of late so was up another 1.5 today. Still hanging in the 145 range which is fine with me. Today, I am officially trying a "down" day. Ive got my hcg meals lined up plus a hard boiled egg to put me at around 600 calories today. Let's see if I can make it through and what the scale looks like tomorow.

How "low" are you planning on keeping it??? Come on! You're in P3 now! Eat up! In all seriousness, you probably need to get your calories up to BMRx within 3-5 days. Start slow if you want but make sure you get those calories UP. You want to retrain your body to love that higher calorie level.

Glad to hear you are having some success away, I know how frustrated you were.
My last P3 I was focusing more on protein and calorie amounts and it totally didn't work for me. I use ****** and as soon as I made my ratios of fat 70%, protein 15%, carbs 15% I was able to stabilize. This may not work for everyone, but it's something to try if you're having a hard time. What could it hurt to try for one day? This is my plan for this P3...

Me too!! Today is my first VLC day w.o dosing. So I make it through today and tomorrow and then on to P3!! I am thinking Greek Yogurt, cream in my coffee They're the 2 things I've missed most.

Also planning to not eat out too soon. I'll be avoiding cheese and nuts for the first week. I will be having stevia sweetened froyo though . Should qualify as no starch/sugar!! I've missed my froyo too!!

I have a whole week and a half before we go camping for the weekend. I will need to plan ahead and be strong. The popcorn, s'mores, munchies by the fire are all really tough to resist. Sigh.

Anyway, just marking my spot!! Hope you're all doing well!! I'm open to suggestions and ideas. It's been a while since I did P3 transition!

Leona-thanks for sharing those ratios. I'll add that to my repertoire should I have trouble. I'm hoping not!! Going to TRY to take it slowly!!

good afternoon ladies...I've been MIA for two days or so...so after my first day of p3 I was up to 125.2 then 125.8 then yesterday and today 126.2 LDW is 125....freaking out last night telling hubby I wanna get back on I'm not stabilizing...yadayada...crying, and all. I'm only on day 5 lol...he's telling me to calm down and not hop back on p2 so quickly (well i couldn't anyway I have to order the darn rx ) and to not get so upset...you know hubby words. I was so upset and emotional over it, it sucks being soooooo scared to weigh the next day! Well needless to say I know today what the fluxuations and tears are for....TOM is on his way, cramps and bloating today...wish he wouldn't show his ugly face while I'm trying TO FREAKING STABALIZE!!! Messes with my chi....p3 is just downright scary...I was thinking of fast 5 but my hours are so weird that I don't want to be pinned down to a window...I'm thinking of "trying" judd but I also can't get my calories up to 2093 on a "fat kid" day....what to do what to do....
Anyhoo took my 3 year old River to the dentist today and then he took mommy to carl's jr for an awesome low carb six dollar burger. I said "thanks for inviting me to lunch riv" he just shrugs his shoulders and says "no prob mom you needed it"

Calm down, breathe... You're still totally in your window! If you're eating cheese and nuts, those tend to be problems for most. Whatever you're doing, it's probably just water retention form those dern hormones. Once Tom is gone you'll probably have a loss. I know, I didn't plan very well for my P3 either, Tom is supposed to show up next week, so I'll only have been P3 for 6 or 7 days. It is what it is, but seriously, you're totally doing fine!

And thanks for the big congrats! I'm really shocked to be in the teens, it seemed like it would never happen. Hopefully I can stay here...

Hey there! CONGRATS on the teens! I haven't seen that since middle school!

Thanks for posting the ratios. I will have to keep telling myself more fat! Thank God for cocoa crack! Love that stuff! I tend to over do the protein!

Don't get frustrated I'm certain tom is the evil culprit! I o fel your anxiety over weighing...i didnt want to get out of bed this morning dreading the scale!

ohhh, i haven't had froyo in forever! what stores do ya'll have? We have lovin spoons here and a menchies.

My lips are super chapped today....haven't had that since beginning p2? Have ya'll ever had that happen in p3?

Ok, so another newbie question. Day two on p3.... both last night and tonight I have felt a little queasy. Is that normal? I wasn't very hungry for dinner, so I ate a half of an avocado (love!) and had a few strawberries sliced up w/ a dollop of whipped cream on top. I felt fine...stuffed and kinda bloated but fine, until a little bit ago when the queasy feeling came on.

It's probably your body just isn't used to the amount of food/fats you're eating now. Listen to your body, if you're not hungry, don't eat. But try to make sure what you DO eat provides the best bang for the buck. The avocado is great, easier to digest than meat, and has good fats. Nuts have good fat but can be tough on the tummy because of the type of fiber/phytates (I think that's the word) they contain. If it continues you could try a digestive aid, they can really help. Hope you feel better soon!

Oh man, I keep thinking about all the yummy food I can enjoy on Thursday! I got those weekly ads from all the grocery stores today... I'm dreaming about eggs sunny side up served w/ mushrooms and bell peppers sauteed in butter... Not sure if that's taking it slow or not

Ok, thanks so much!! I'm actually kinda missing my p2 foods...I was kinda diggin' the lighter stuff! lol...go figure...never happy! lol

Oh, I was gonna tell you, I have a p3 book that I got from amazon (gonna return it though...nothing I can't find on here!) but it did say that several of the mushrooms were a food to eat sparingly if at all on p3. Of course, I am in NO way an expert or even knowledgable on this...but wanted to pass along what they said.

I hope you enjoy your upcoming "freedom" on p3! and the teens....WOW!

Ice-that queasy feeling isn't surprising. All the fat on a tummy that hasn't really had fat in weeks will likely do that. I bet the berries felt better. Hope it improves.

Leona-that's so great you stuck it out and got all the way to goal!! We'll be P3ing together!! I did the traditional full day of dosing so I'll start with breakfast on Thurs. I do think the stopping w. the 2nd dose would have been a good idea. 1 P3 meal to ease into it. But, I went the traditional approach.

Heather-hang in there. Don't be too quick to worry about it. I will likely need to hear this in a few days myself . I'm sure you'll be fine. Hormones won't help, but ride it out and you'll be fine!! A CD (the GY one) sounds really good to me right now!!

Had a second apple. I can't remember if we're supposed to have 2 of the same fruits in a day? But, at this point, it's done. It was good . Hope that doesn't bump me up tomorrow. I doubt it will. Nitey-nite!

That does make sense...which would also explain why for the past two nights I have just felt greased out and gross! Though I do like my berries and whipped cream!

I was under the impression that you could do two apples a day? There are days in the beginning that I did when I ran out of berries.

You can double up any of the phase 2 foods in one day. Some folks say that certain foods doubled up do not work for them.. like beef twice in the same day. I never really noticed any issues.. though I really liked variety in my phase 2 menu so didn't tend to eat the same thing twice that often.

Theresa.. you'll start to feel better soon. If you do not there are a lot of great digestive enzymes out there. I find that I end up having to make frequent trips to the bathroom when my body is first adjusting to the fats. Then my body gets used to it and I have to make sure to increase my veggies and fruits so I can keep the plumbing from getting clogged... sorry if that is TMI.

Leona... YEAH on the 118!! So excited for you!!!

Julie... what a GREAT LDW!!!

Heather... you'll do fine!!! I see you are going to JUDDD for maintenance... I'll be joining you in JUDDDing sometime in the near future. I haven't picked my JUDDD start date yet.. but am VERY interested in using it to get off the last 10 pounds.

Ok, so i was up to 267.8 I gained another 1.2 lbs from yesterday...my weight was 267.6 the morning after my last full hcg dose day...so I am still well within the window...but mortified I may be eating too much?

If ya'll see anything that I am doing wrong please don't hesitate to let me know!

Breakfast yesterday was:
2 poached eggs, 5 oz of flat iron steak
Lunch:
2 mini chicken thighs (pan roasted w/ some pork side grease)
2 c spinach
1 slice of pork side (uncured thick bacon)
Snack when I got home:
rest of my eggplant chips (had EVOO on them)
1 slice pork side
Dinner:
1/2 an avocado
8 strawberries w/ 2 tbs whipped cream
snack:
a few pieces of cocoa crack

I calculated it online and it was right at 1600 cals...well w/in the 2000 that my online calculator says i should have

TODAY:
Breakfast:
2 poached eggs, 1/2 an avocado, 1 slice pork side
Lunch:
1 chicken thigh, 2 cups spinach, 1/2 backed sweet onion
Dinner:
5 oz flat iron steak....and not sure what else??? I will determine that when I get home!

I have coffee each morning with 1/2 and 1/2 in it.

I had a teacher come up to me this morning wanting to know what diet I was doing....she had rumors that it was WW's and another that it was the "hormone" diet...and of course, the talk of "it will kill her"...I just rolled my eyes and told her that I did a LOT of research before I started this...and I felt very confident in it. So she is now thinking of doing it! I told her that Dr Oz supported it and we both laughed because we love Dr Oz!

Morning guys. Update on the JUDDD experiment... (and a shoutout to Heather from the JUDDD board! Looks like we're on the same path here! )

Well, after day 1 of a "down day," I am down 1.5 from yesterday which is 0.2 lower than Monday. Yesterday wasn't too hard. A little hungry but easier than I really thought it would be. No low blood sugar swings either for which I (and certainly my co-workers) are extremely thankful. I ate pretty much what I would on a normal P2 day with slightly higher calories--hard boiled egg in the morning, salad with chicken breast and WF dressing and an apple for lunch, beef and cabbage and strawberries for dinner. I probably ended up closer to 700 calories than 500 but, hey, baby steps! Let me tell you, though--I was READY for that big pile of beef and cabbage last night!

Today is an "up day" and I'm gonna do it "up" right! Eggs and bacon, coffee with HWC, big salad with avocado and dressing, FF GY and blueberries, maybe fish and roasted green beans for dinner. Maybe a mug cake or some strawberries later. I seem to massively gain every time I eat mug cake so I might hold off on that and just have berries and cream. In any case... Heather, if you need any tips on how to get your calories up, let me know. As you can see, I don't have any issues EATING!

Tomorrow is another DD and I'm going to be curious at exactly how THIS works. Thursday night is yoga which generally kicks my butt--especially on not much food. I am probably going to take an evening meal with me to work and eat before class. Maybe save a few calories for after. But since it takes up the time in my evening, it should keep me away from the fridge, at least!

What I would really like to see is the scale inching downwards. I know I'll be up tomorrow but Friday morning after tomorrow's DD, if I am a couple of tenths lower, that's what I am really shooting for. Stay tuned!

yay Shelby here we go!!! Today is my first DD so I'm excited to see where this will all go stabalization and even a little under my LIW will be phenomenal! I counted yesterday as an UD cause p3 are always up days but I still only came out around 1500 cals or so and my UD are supposed to be around 1856? crap I was full yesterday too lol

As I sit right now I lost .4 yesterday (thank you Lord) and TOM is in full effect so still .8 above LIW but as ya'll have told me, I'm not gonna stress about it With this JUDDD I'm really hoping another round will never be needed

Another bad day for me. I was up another pound this morning, putting me exactly 2 pounds over my LDW. Here's what I ate yesterday:

2 cups of coffee with HWC
Breakfast - 2 boiled eggs and 2 slices of bacon
Lunch - Big salad w/chicken, tomatoes, cucumbers, blue cheese, eggs and ranch dressing
Dinner - Green beans, 2 small chicken thighs and drumstick
No snacks in between these meals.

What am I doing wrong? Well, I'm doing a CD today because I don't want it to get too out of hand.

Honey,you are not doing anything wrong!! You're right where you should be!
p3 is the hardest part to get used to your body was just in fat burning mode and it takes a while to all even out.
Your menu is perfect keep doing it.

If you want to see the scale go the other way eat more protein and less veggies. Hang in there !!!
