Finally down 1 pound so that 7 pounds since i started. My plan is to do some light callanetics and stretching but i have been too tired. I have not checked my bp - it was always low so i don't know if i want to. I was never a water drinker so im guess im doing good in that dept. as my urine is clear. If you can exercise i think that would be a good thing.

Should I be drinking LESS water?

Good morning!

I am down the lb I was up yesterday. Yay!

Congrats to all you losers and welcome to all new people!

Hopeful, what have you been eating the past few days? Try to switch things up a little. Sometimes if I eat a little more than 500 calories, I get a loss the next day. And there are some things that cause stalls in some people, like cabbage, that doesn't affect others. If I have a stall and I have been doing everything right, I try to switch up things a little. Eat a different fruit or vegetable tomorrow and see if that helps any.

I drink a lot of water but if I drink too much, I tend to retain fluids. Keep track of your intake and try to stay between 80-100 oz and see if that makes a difference. Also, some people find squeezing the juice of a lemon in their water helps too. Dr S recommends that -- one lemon per day.

Don't get discouraged though. After a stall, usually comes a whoosh! Let's hope yours is tomorrow!!

Does anyone make changes as to what they put on their skin when they're on P2? I need a face cleanser and lotion. Something that can be bought at Wal-Mart since that's all we have for miles around. Suggestions?

Also, has anyone had any trouble with bison or tuna? I think Dr.S. said we can have bison, but the tuna might be rogue. I see some are eating eggs. I think I'm going to have to go back and read the guidelines.

Hopeful - I'm sure it's going to be frustrating when the weight doesn't move at times, especially when you consider the sacrifice that's being made. I'm excited to see when you DO release some more because it will be a good reminder for me when that time comes to just hang on!

I haven't tried the tuna. It's a specific no-no on Dr S protocol because it is an oily fish. But there are a lot of people who eat it. I try to stick to protocol but sometimes it is not always possible. I am a "whatever works for you" kind of person nowadays. But bison, um no. Just the thought skeeves me out. My husband thinks I am a nut.

Denise - I hear you about the bison. We have a lot of them grass fed here and a friends gives some to us for free. It tastes just like chicken! No, just kidding! It's supposed to be a very lean meat. And, free is free.

Yep, that is why my husband laughs at me. I live in Nebraska and we can get all that good stuff too. I won't eat venison either. My husband and son are hunters (sorry YellowHair -- my PETA friend) but I will not even cook it for them. All my meat must have a pricetag on it!

I think the reson Dr S said no to tuna is because it used to be packed in oil
now you can get water packed.
lotion or cream @ WM?? look in the face and skin care section and buy some clean and clear for oily skin look on the label for oil free OR GO ROUGE and use what you normally use.

on the free meat like I tell DH YOU hunt it YOU clean it I'LL think about cooking it!! after all with todays economy free is free!!!

good morning everyone!

hopeful - hang in there try an apply day to get things moving. i *think* you can do that after a four day stall. is there any reason you arent eating the melba/grissini? i find i lose better when i eat all of my food. theres no harm in trying, right? the reasoning behind eating the grain is so that when you get to p4 your body isnt freaked out by adding it back in. good luck!!

down .8 today. im going to add in some ab work and light walking - just a couple miles at a slow pace and hope that it doesnt mess with my losses. i really want to get back into shape and start working out hard when i hit p3. DH and i are thinking about entering a race in june and i would love to be able to finish!

menu for today is:
breakfast: tea with 1 tb fat free half and half
snack: 1/2 grapefruit, melba
lunch: grilled chicken and lettuce salad
dinner: shrimp cocktail with asparagus
dessert: 1/2 grapefruit, melba

LOTS of water and plain tea. ive been neglectful with my intake

My menu for today:

B-black coffee
L-Biz shake
D-P2 chili
S-apple

I've never tried the shake before but have come across the recipe here on the hcg boards. It is really tasty and filling and low calorie. Looks yucky but I really really like it and will definitely make it again! YellowHair, it made me think of the potions you used to make!

Biz Shake -- toss altogether in blender
3 oz raw spinach
5 oz frozen strawberries
3 oz low fat cottage cheese
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
2 pkg artificial sweetener (I use Stevia)
Water
Total of 150 Calories

Hello!

Hi Everyone!

I am currently in P3, having just finished up my 1st round of P2. I'm actually really looking forward to returning to the "structure" of P2! I'll be starting my next round in April (my son's first birthday is 4/1 and I want to be able to eat birthday cake!). I've been following this thread and was hoping I could join in?

Let's see...a little bit about me. My start weight, about 5 years ago, was about 340. I lost about 130 lbs (Gastric Bypass), then stalled out - just couldn't get under 200! I started going to the gym and calorie counting and got myself to around 185 in time for my wedding...and then proceeded to regain about 40 lbs with my pregnancy. HCG is the first diet that has really WORKED for me and that I feel will really stick. I lost 25 lbs in my first round and am hoping for similar results when I start again in April. I've learned so much about my own bad eating habits and am looking forward to STAYING healthy after I've reached my goal!

Hang in there

During my 2 rounds in the past I would loose every couple of days and be very frustrated and want to scream on the days I was perfect and still the scale was the same. Believe me I was ready to binge..... It's so not worth it. Try on some clothes and use them as your guide as well. Yes I want to see 179 on the scale but i know Im shrinking if the scale is not moving. Try the P2 chilli with hot tea for your meals tomorrow. When I was stuck before this is what I did and it broke my stall. I think it's the combo of beef and tomatoes that that flush out extra pounds.

Vlcd 2 202.2

Anyone else notice you can wear a smaller size and look leaner from hhcg? When I weigh in at the docs every 6 months they always say no way you don't look like you weigh that much......and it's a different nurse every time.
I pulled out my old journal from 2 years ago and I would loose an average of 5 pounds a week. Some all in one day then nothing for a week. Keep in mind it all adds up at the end if we can make it thru the roller coaster ride.

Thanks Yellowhair. I do drink about 120 ounces. Thought maybe that was too much, maybe it is and that 120 ounces does not include the teas and coffees I have throughout the day.

Hey Denise

Thanks for the support.

I took your advice and this is today's menu NOW.

L-apples chopped with cinnamon and stevia heated in the microwave with 1/2 cup cottage cheese on top. It was delish!!! Oh an a Grissini

S- chopped cucumber with sea salt and pepper

D- Sirloin Beef with Chard (steamed with garlic, Aminos and crushed red pepper) and a Grissini

S- orange

So the revamp REMOVES cabbage, which I have eaten pretty much everyday and introduces Swiss Chard, cottage cheese and an orange.

I did find radishes at the store today and bought a bunch. Ill have to look back through the thread for your recipe and put that on the menu for tomorrow.

Cheers!

Thanks.

Where can I get this recipe? I see that many of the group are eating it.

I do FEEL great though. I do see the my body re shaping. As far as the tape measure is concerned I'm down about 1/2 inch. I measured 2 days ago. Thats a half inch on the hips and waist. The areas I really need to shrink. So I am not lost on this.

Yeah I really need to look at the overall. Like I said earlier 6 pounds is nothing to be shy about! Nor is 5! It's all about the perspective I guess!

It will check out the recipes. Not that I'm much of a cook.....I'm sippin the strawberry smoothie now for my dinner as I didn't get a fruit in today. I went for a short walk today not the normal 10 miles so the scale should be kind to me in the am but you never know....so will tomorrow be the day I'm back in Onerland? I sure hope so. I will down some more tea tonight and hope for the woosh fairy to visit me.
So does anyone have any non scale or size goals? One goal I have is to finish the Muddy Girl run with my daughters this May. Funny I can walk in 2 60 miles walks each year yet I can't run/jog 3 miles with a simple obstacle course.
Anyone have a goal to share?

I have and don't know if its necessary or not - i have a whole skin care routine that i stopped and i don't like that one bit - i just use a green tea cleanser now ( no oil ) - if you are concerned just pick up anything oil free but read the ingredients. I have an oil free face lotion but when i checked the ingedients there was oil in it! I am also using an oil free shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion - bought on amazon - brand is Millcreek. I have heard mineral oil is ok but don't know if that is true. I miss my potions !

Keepingcupsfull- I have a huge goal!! I am a teacher and hoping to go back to work in August. I was laid off 3 years ago (California is in a serious budget crisis). Everything happens for a reason, because as soon as I got laid off I got pregnant with twins, so it has been a blessing in disguise. BUT! I am ready to go back and hope this is the year!

What's in your strawberry smoothie?

I haven't changed any lotions, etc- I am too afraid! I don't wear much make-up, only powder and lipstick, so I am good there! I just don't want my face to break out!! My skin is one of the things I like about myself
