Hi everyone! Welcome Jilley! I am past my monthly, so I can't help you on that one. I was down .2 this morning. At first, I was losing a lb. a day, now my losses are very slow going. I am on my 9th day. It is so beautiful in MI, I am going to go for a 3 mile walk tonight. That might shake things up a bit!!

Jilly! I know for me, hcg (even the homeopathic) makes mine come longer and stronger. to be honest, i got mine two days in, am on day 15 and its slowed, but not stopped completely

but hey ladies, im down .4 today it looks like im back on the downward trend, and thank god bc sunday is my last day of drops. i would LOVE to be 143 by then. im missing my goal of 135 completely, but if i can get down to where the doc says should be my lowest, i will be happy. then from there ill start exercising a bunch in p3.

so todays weigh-in is 146.4. happy wednesday!

So I was down .4... Then up .4... And today I'm down 1.3! Yippee! Not bad, day 11.

And to think... I mixed my veggies at dinner last night! *gasp* (Just a smidgen of tomato in my Italian beef-stuffed cabbage rolls.)

Prepping to be at my father-in-law's tomorrow... Then my kids have their field trip to Sea World on Friday, and all us adults on HCG are going along (hubby, my mom, and me). Should be interesting - I hear taking food into that park can sometimes be a problem. Hopefully our dietary restrictions will be enough reason for them to let us bring our food.

STS today. My appetite has returned. very hungry today. Pushing the water to get rid of the hunger. I'm thinking it might be the bottle of older pellets I have in my purse. I've been forgetting to take them at home so I'm using the older bottle hmmm. Maybe the reason for the hunger.

I tried the shake with spinach and strawberries not sure I made it right as it didn't taste so good. I used fresh berries not frozen could that be why?

Nice day out so I'm going for a walk to stay out of the kitchen.
Keep on plan and I'm sending the whoosh fairy to all of us.

I use fresh strawberries too but I throw them in the freezer the night before so they are frozen. Did you use a sweetener? I use 2 pkts of Stevia in my shake. I've tried it with and without the cocoa powder and I think I like it better without.

Out of convenience sake, I was gonna do a cottage cheese shake tonight (instead of defrosting more meat), but I decided to make the meal look more filling. Recognize the components?

Creamy spinach with Melba, strawberries, and chocolate mousse... Dare I say, I think I enjoyed the spinach most...? But it was all good!

What a beautiful pic of the P2 meal I just hate cottage cheese tho. Welcome Jilly. Hope your fat fast works for you Hopeful. Fantastic on all the losses !!! Keep chugging along guys ! Enjoy Seaworld-never had issues bringing stuff into disney parks-just kept in a tote bag-now i would not haul a cooler in I am in a scale tizzy now-new scale has the lowest weight-old scale is 1.5 lbs higher and i went on the scale at the clinic the other day and it was like 5lbs higher-thats alot-the first time i weighed in there it was 1lb lower than my old scale and they moved the scale since the first time i was there. Now that was a pm weight but i dont believe that could make a 5lb diff. Then im thinking..did they calibrate the scale to read higher to keep business going or do i really weigh 5 lbs more So that is my scale saga..i did purchase a highly rated quality scale so i dont know. How dare you mix those veggies but i had some cucumber salad once which i love and felt guilty !

Wed:
lunch-chicken,celery,and 1/2 grapefruit
dinner-shrimp and cabbage - got home late as i had my hair colored and highlighted so that helped - i have been staying away from the grissinis-think that is helping

I think I can
That meal looks great. How do you cook the spinach?
Denise
I' did add stevia. I think it was because it was room tempature that was part of the problem. I will freeze the berries and try again. I do like the strawberry smoothie so I will go back to that if this next try is just as bad.

B 1/2 Grapefruit
Not sure of rest of the day yet. I uped my water yesterday and STS today. I'm ok with that as its not a mid cycle gain for no reason.

I do feel smaller....
This week is going so fast. My second week is never a great pounds lost week so I just hope to get thru it with no gain.
Have a great day everyone.

That meal does look good. I'm curious about how you made the spinach as well. I'm down 0.6 today. I had forgotten my lunch so didn't eat all day, just had a little extra ph2 chili and a melba and apple. I need to drink more darn water and get more sleep.

Have a great, shrinking day everyone.

Down .6 again today. I like it!!! Although I wish it were 1 pound! Oh well, I am losing and thats the goa. 11.2 pounds total. Today is VLCD day 10.

I havent been being creative with my food. Maybe I should. I have just been having everything grilled and veggies plain. I do season them with dry seasonings but other than that its been just plain. I do wonder when i will grow tired of it. I think i have the hardest time smelling other peoples food.

I just have to remind myself that I can have all the yummy smell good foods!!!!! Just not now! But I can later. In moderation of course.

Jilley! Glad you joined us!

YellowHair, I did a couple of rounds with grissini, no problem. But then the last round, I just craved carbs when I ate the grissini or melba so I'm doing this round without them.

Mommy, I usually eat the same vegetable over and over again till I am sick of it, then move onto another. I ate so many cucumbers in my first round, I could not even look at a cucumber in my other rounds. I just bought one the other day, hoping I can eat them again as they are very low calorie. I overdosed on radishes too. Now my veggies of choice are spinach and tomato. Hope I don't get sick of tomatoes because I do love my P2 chili!

Keepingcupsfull, yes your shake would probably taste better with frozen strawberries or at least a couple of pieces of ice to make it cold. I'm sure you're using fresh spinach but just wanted to mention it because I think it would be awful with canned spinach!! So your strawberry smoothie is the same ingredients only without the spinach?? That sounds good!

I bought some popsicle containers thinking I will freeze some lemon water and add fresh strawberries or thinly sliced cucumbers to make an hcg frozen treat. Orange or grapefruit would probably taste good too! I can't wait to try them out. I just have to remember to make them!!

I have a question. Have any of you found that if you leave off a fruit or the melba that your weight losses are larger each day? I have a coworker who lost 1 lb today after several days of low losses (.4, .5) I asked her if she did anything different and she said she didnt eat her dinner fruit or her dinner melba last night. Could that be what it was? Or do you think it was just her body and due time?

good afternoon ladies! i was down 1.2 today which is a HUGE loss for me. i've been eeking along on either small gains or super small loses. SO happy. down to 145.2 now. my goal of 143 might be realistic!

food for today is tough. we have THREE parties going on at work but i brought my own food. from the breakfast party i had one strawberry, a tiny bite of egg , and half of one potato piece. then my apple, no grissini. for lunch, that party has nachos and a chocolate fountain i had four tortilla chips and a marshmellow, skipped cake #1. im hoping to god i dont regret the food. i really didnt have much at all but i feel guilty. later on we have another lunch and ANOTHER cake. im skipping all of that and eating my chili. dinner tonight is going to be light. i wish i had more chili and apples bc my loss was great yesterday with the chili/apple for lunch and same for dinner.

Most days this round, I eat chicken and spinach at lunch, and beef and tomatoes at supper, but every so often I switch it up a little and add a shake or different kind of veggie in. Today I'm having chicken and cabbage stirfry for lunch and will probably have P2 chili or a burger and tomato slices for supper.

Down .2 today. But after 1.3 yesterday, that's fine by me.

Creamy Spinach
I defrosted frozen chopped spinach, mixed it with a spoonful of cottage cheese (smoothed out in the blender), added salt and garlic powder. Warmed it. Tasted yummy! I'd do it in P3 too, except I'd add butter and Parmesan cheese then too. (We can dream, right?)

I kept most of my portioned cottage cheese for that chocolate mousse. If you don't want that though, I guess you could just make an extra creamy spinach and use all your cottage cheese in that.

Re: Sea World
From many people I heard SW is much stricter with bringing in food than Disney. Disney makes things much easier for guests - which is why that's where we have passes for most of our getaways. SW is just a good deal via this field trip - $25/person. If we're ever gonna go there, this is the time... 'cuz I'm cheap and don't want to pay the $70-$80 per person it would normally cost! Worst case scenario we'll keep the cooler with p2 food in the trunk and just come out to eat.

I stayed the same as yesterday. I have realy struggled today with hunger, and almost went out on an all-out binge. But, today is day 10, and after tomorrow, I am over the worst of it. This week has also been such a crawl, 134.8, 134.8, 134.4, 134.2, 134.2. And finding out my drops have no hcg in them. But, I am not going to throw in the towel, I am going to finish this thru hcg, or no hcg. My first drops I bought last summer, so those had to of had it in them. I just wish I had more!! My skin is so dry, my hands are horrible. Ok, enough whining, I am going for my 1/2 hour walk. Thanks for listening.

I am at a stall the last 2 days and have no idea why. I did rub some rx pain gel on the last two days so i don't know if that could possibly be it. We could drive ourselves mad i think trying to figure out why. I did leave 1 fruit and the grissinis out and had a good loss but now nothing so i really don't know. You are right about the grissinis D - if i have one it just sets me off into craving more....
Thurs:
lunch: chicken, cucumber, 1/2 grapefruit
dinner: cod and cabbage
Yay on the losses !!!!!

No, I am not going to return them. They told me that in Oct. all retailers were banned from making hcg, and that these were made with amino acids and very similiar to hcg. I heard about the problem with hcg on the news, I just thought homopathic was made from herbs and such. I did not understand it was all hcg, the stuff in the stores too. When these drops have hcg in the title, I thought they had hcg in them. The guy at GNC told me these were the best, they fly off the shelves, and ladies were losing 30 lbs. at a time off them. He did not tell me there was no hcg in them, someone on here told me. I am too far into in to get another kind, and I would have to order them from netrition. I do not know where I would get any with hcg in them except from there. The lady at Platinum told me if I follow the diet exactly, I should have no problem losing weight. It just is disheartening.

So, on a good note, I did have a whoosh last night, and I am down 1.2 to 133. YEA!!! I am on day 11, and over the worst of it.

good morning ladies! im down .8 today to 144.4 i realized that i had mentally given up. i was still following the diet but convinced i wasnt going to lose anymore after having such trouble in the second week. it looks like my stall has broken though!

Lori - could that be the problem that you are having? A LOT of us hit stalls in week two. I think it took me a whole week just to lose one pound, and now im back to losing.

So now that I'm almost done with this round I want to keep going...but...I think this weekend is going to be very tough for me. I have a St Pattys day party tomorrow, then the parents over for a traditional corned beef dinner on sunday. i have no idea how im going to swing this, but i am going to try super hard. i know that if i gain i will continue for a few days to end on track though.

i hope everyone has a great friday!!

I need some advise. I was on the hhcg for a few days with a good weight loss. I took a three-day trip to take care of my grandma. To make a long story short, I became very stressed and stopped taking the hhcg and just ate what I wanted. Today I'm home. I'm back on the drops and vlcd. I know I will pay for this. Here are my two questions:

1. How much do I screw my my system by doing this?

2. How do you deal with extremely stressful situations without running to food for comfort?

Hi Prairie for the situation. It almost sounds like to me that you need to do a restart. At this point there is no hcg in your system, so for me i would do a healthy load (very low carb, good fats) and get right back on track. it is VERY hard not to stress eat. i feel super guilty when i do it, so i just try to remember that feeling when i get the urge. stepping on the scale in the AM and being a half pound down is definitely motivation (and stress reliever!). Try going for a walk to clear your mind, but if you find yourself in that situation again DEFINITELY cook ahead, bring your meals and then there wont be much temptation. and dont feel too bad, we all have slip-ups!
