Stacey- Have a blast! I'd love to be on the beach right now!
Mini- Coconut oil does that for me as well! I just got myself some good high quality stuff and wow! I forget how great it makes me feel! I'm not being as productive as I should today. My mind is going in many directions today. I'm trying to decide on what project I can actually accomplish before my son's birthday party. I'm really honestly hoping that I could get some new carpeting but I've just not been able to find a remnant that will fit in the room its intended for in the color I want. Then DH decided he needs a new couch. With 2 little kids I find this to be a bad bad decision so I'm trying to meet him 1/2 way with something used. After several night surfing craigslist and going to consignment shops I've only found one couch that is even remotely doable and they're asking about $100 more than I'm willing to spend. I'm holding my ground and gave the lady my phone number and the amount I'm willing to spend and told her to call me if she changes her mind before the 24th. In the middle of this I ordered all new bathroom accessories and a shower curtain for the kids' bathroom and this weekend I'm going to find the time to spruce it up. I have a bad case of spring fever and just want to get the house all pretty again! Somehow I've got to fit in a trip to town to pick out new framed art for the living room. I've been eyeing if got about 6 months now and was hoping I'd get it for Christmas and didn't. Then I thought Valentine's but nope. I got a mileage check and I'm so going to put it into house stuff! Ok, I must concentrate long enough to get some work done here!

![]() Stacey-Way to go!! you met your Feb goal (if it had been the length of a normal month you would have made it, so we'll count that!!). Enjoy your weekend!! For all of us!! Long walks on the beach. Sigh. Mini-stay warm in that studio!! Sorry for the scale bump. Go w/ the clothes and mirror!! Vanity sizing is sometimes my friend . I have a pair of size 4 capris that I love, but I KNOW they aren't a true 4. The crazy variety in sizing makes me . The designer jeans I have are 11's but they look smashing!! I don't care all that much about the label. But my skinny jeans are back baby!!Mel-I love craiglslist. It is what you make of it. Hopefully the lady will call you back. I totally agree. New furniture when your kids are young? Craziness!! We'll never buy anything but leather furniture again. Cleans up so nicely! Doing well. Went to Sprouts to stock up for my continuing round. Apples (love those ambrosia apples), ground chicken breast (made more chicken wraps), NY strip steak (grilled and waiting for the weekend). All set. W/ cottage cheese for Sat's vball tournament, a leftover steak in the fridge, and eggs to fill in the cracks, I could go 5 more VLC days. That would be P3 on Wed. I think that sounds like a good plan. And I think I'm signing up for a 5K on Sat. I need something to do for exercise. My good friend has a bad knee, so we're going to walk it. I'm making my dd's do it too, since dh is away. Looking forwad to it!! Friday tomorrow!! Woo-hoo!!

Hi all,
I joined last August after doing pretty well on two rounds. I maintained pretty well and am back on another 3week round of shots with my doc. I have a question about rogue issues. I have abnormally low cholesterol and after my rounds last year it went down to 112 and I felt really awful. Weak, hungry. I think the fact that I only gained back 10 pounds is a miracle. I am wondering if rogue is for me. I don't want to finish the round only to find myself back in the hole again lipid wise |

I think when a person is doing HCG under a dr supervision its best to follow what your dr says. Especially when you have health issues. Maybe talk to your dr about your concerns.

I don't know what you should do...but definitely don't repeat what happened. Do you think it was the low fat that did it? Or the low calories? Do you lose weight at all with low carb/paleo? Those tend not to trash cholesterol levels...in fact I've heard of ladies with low levels getting their levels back to normal. Just a few thoughts, take them for what they are worth (no $$ spent here!). Does your doctor have an opinion?

It is dangerous. We have found a product which increases my levels and it makes a difference in how I feel. Generally, I find losing weight to be really hard. But, since this does seem to work I decided to do one round and see how it goes. If all goes well, I plan to maintain with low carb paleo.

hi ladies, good to see we're all still with the p-rogue-ram!
![]() I'm on my first ever CD, arrrrgh. hanging with egg day. I have a lot of stuff to do, so it's just as well that I don't have to think about eating (yet I have time to mess about online, har har har!), PLUS it's only one day. I'm not sure if it was too much fruit, no bernice, lack of sleep, or destroyed sore quads that did it to me (or a combo of all). but regardless, I'm doing the cd. this was SUPPOSED to be my first day of P4. ![]()

IMO with issues like that doing another hcg round will be difficult... but you are only doing a minimum round which is wise. If I were you... I'd be eating boat loads of coconut oil the minute I'm back into phase 3. I'd also look for a very high quality cod liver oil.. my favorite is by a company called Green Pastures.. they have a fermented CLO that has REAL Vitamin D & A in them... most CLO's have synthetic. It would be very wise for you to avoid all other hydrogenated oils. AND... you might want to read the book "wheat belly" by Dr. William Davis. He is a cardiologist and has some interesting info on how grains can effect our heart in a nasty way.... he is actually my personal cardiologist and I'm blessed to have him on my health care team with my Naturalpathic Doctor. You may already know all of this info.. but I find that most doctors STILL tell folks with cholesterol/heart issues to avoid fat... which is the very very worst thing for the heart. It needs good fats like coconut oil, butter, and cod liver oil. ![]() Sorry if this is not info you are looking for... but maybe it will encourage and inspire you to do some more research. ![]() Blessings, Shirley -- Phase 3 -- Total hcg loss: 88.8 pounds in 3 rounds totaling 145 VLCD days! |

I tried SO HARD not to do personals. These are the ones I just had to comment on.

You earned it and so I don't blame you for wanting to keep going on this round to make sure you stay comfortably in the 40's during P3. I was "careful" shoveling but it was one heavy, sloppy mess. Luckily there wasn't a lot of it and I parked pretty close to the road so I'd have less to clear away in order to get out. I hope you daughter learns that even if she is always a bit "chubby", she's still "just right." We can't all be stick-thin and so be happy with who we are while we do the best we can to be our best is the best we can do! Self-acceptance is more important than a number on the scale or wearing a certain number clothing size. I'm working on this myself. I don't have any desire to be perfect, just don't ever want to be "the fat person in the room" anymore. I want to be healthy and have my joints and spine be able to comfortably handle "the load." I am so tired. I didn't sleep well last night so tonight I'm going to try and get caught up. I was in the farm's office from 12:45 to 6 pm today, helping them prepare for the "Horse's Ball" that is on Saturday night. It's a fund raising event. I was able to help quite a bit but I always feel I could have done more if the lady had thought ahead of time what I could do and then be ready for me when I plunk my keister in the chair. I spend a lot of time waiting for her to tell me what to do next. She's overwhelmed and today was very chaotic.
Tomorrow is equine care day. I will wear my back brace and take it easy. Prednisone has kicked in and I feel great! Saturday morning is another thing at the farm and so I'll be there 3 days in a row. An orientation of some kind but teaching us things we didn't get taught yet. Supposed to be more in line with the therapeutic lessons they will soon be giving again. Should be interesting! Sunday is my sister's b-day pizza party. After that, things will hopefully slow back down a bit. Time will tell. I'm still doing well with keeping food under control. Thanks for your input everyone. I have about 35 pounds to lose. Despite eating a REALLY high fat diet and relatively little grain, I have the lipid profile of an anorexic. But, I've been taking a product called Sonic Cholesterol made from lanolin that has raised my cholesterol back up into the 140's. However, it doesn't work too well without some fat in the diet, so the reason I posted here was to check out what you all do that is so rogue. My plan is to take 1 tsp of MCT oil with breakfast, add 1T coconut oil to my lunch and have the standard hcg dinner. That is what I did today, and I feel much more normal energy wise than I have all week. I am at the end of week one in a three week protocol. But, if adding the coconut oil works out I might go the full six weeks just to get it over with. After I lose the weight I plan to go back to high fat paleo for maintenance. I just find that nothing else I have ever tried will budge the weight, but I can maintain just fine. I will let you all know if this modification works for me.

Is there some reason your body is not using the oils efficiently to boost the cholesterol?? Do the Dr.s have input on the "why"?? Do you have thyroid and adrenal fatigue? Is it part of this equation somehow too? Sorry... I'm always curious about folks who have GREAT diets and still have health issues... but then again... most of us haven't had GREAT diets our whole lives and thus pay the price. Thankfully we've taken time to LEARN and CHANGE... but sometimes our bodies don't catch up as fast as we apply all these things we learn. ![]() I hope you have a FABULOUS round!! Wow you gals have been busy. I'm tired and for some reason my lower back hurts (in a way other than the L5-S1 pain I've had for 20 years) I hope its just back strain. I was picking up some poles with sand-filled bases at the horse class (daughter was riding - I didn't get to). They didn't seem that heavy. I'm so out of shape.
628 calories today. 65 grams protein. So, so tired. I stayed up late working last night but got the project finished and turned in today Yay! My annual review at work is coming up and I have a couple blemishes on my year that I need to try to make up for (1. spacing out and being late one day when I had stuff on my schedule and 2. mouthing off about something I disagreed with which my boss took as defiance and wrote me up for) I've been doing really well, lately. Being punctual and super careful not to tromp on my boss's fragile ego. Hope it works!!!

Ok, this is weird -- today I received a second bottle of the hcg (which I didn't order, but they did have trouble with my credit card the first time.) It comes in a box with a seal that says "if seal is damaged, check contents before signing for package" -- and that seal was broken as if the package had been opened....? Someone did sign for it, probably my neighbors, but I doubt they opened my mail.
The bottle inside is still safety sealed and everything was there -- but the whole thing is strange. I am going to use the other one first and I may not end up using the mystery one at all anyhow -- but I am wondering if it was maybe opened by UPS due to regulations-- or something else? It's odd. I'm pretty sure I wasn't charged for the second bottle -- it was probably shipped in the whole change of vendor frenzy... but it really did look like the label had been cut open. I suppose it is possible my neighbor did do that -- checking before signing, etc. I guess my question is this -- would you worry, or would you use the product if you ended up needing it?

In far less weird news, I was hungry this afternoon and almost ate again, but am now not particularly hungry, so I am going to skip it. Still unsure if I am going to dose through this weekend's fat fast or not -- I will see what the scale says in the morning.
I did have great energy and held up really well all afternoon -- and my gut is calm for the first time in weeks-- so my body is definitely loving the higher fat! Last edited by minimonkey; 03-01-2012 at 09:54 PM.. |

I'm thinking I may start the fat fast tomorrow, though I may wait until the weekend proper to do it -- I'd love to get through this stall though, and get things moving again.

Up another pound. Back to 158. Really, really upset about this. I try so hard and I still can't lose wieght. Its sad.
Well.... I guess 6 pounds in 3 weeks really isn't that bad. I could not have done that without being on HCG. I just would like to see spectacular losses, but I guess that just isn't going to happen when I don't have as much excess weight as I did when I started last July. I have lost a solid 10 over the two months of this round. I guess a lot of people would be happy to lose 10 pounds in 2 months. When I was younger I would have lost 25 pounds by now. But I'm not younger. I accept where I am. I am happy to be healthy. My hormone implant is still in place. I can still feel a little knot under the skin. That is really not helping me lose, but the hot flashes were really bad before. I'm not getting another implant, though. Its making me grow hair on my chest Seriously. Crazy stuff!!!! Sorry to be so self-absorbed. I'm just really disappointed in myself that I haven't done this round right. But I have done my best. I have to accept that this is as good of results as I'm going to get with the efforts I can put in. I think I'm going to go back to looking at OA (Overeaters Anonymous). I need some more mental and spritual work on my food and how it rules my life. Last edited by Sasseaux; 03-02-2012 at 02:51 AM.. |

Update. I'm going ahead with finishing this bottle of Rx pellets and am going to stick it out with low cals the rest of the dosing, but I'm not happy about it. Maybe it will be like my first round that had a stall in week 3 and then I dropped. I hope so. Stupid scale. I think its broken. (Not really).

Sending SHOUTOUT to all my peeps! ![]() Back to 123.6. Thinking it won't budge from that by Saturday, but I'm glad I'm back! This is really slow progress the past 2 months, but my metabolism is still up. Based on calories in/out, I'm still over 1700 calories (was 1800 over Christmas on the reset). So I'm not stopping yet. It's amazing how a pound 15 pounds from goal is so much more significant than a pound 90 pounds from goal. That paper roll analogy is so true, and makes this slow loss more bearable since I can see a bit of small change from week to week. Just my early morning ramblings... Hope DD doesn't have ear infection, darn ear is bothering her. |

Good Morning! Down another .6! Today is another protein day (eggs/turkey sausage/turkey bacon), chicken thighs for lunch and dinner.
My hhcg is "out for delivery" will be here today and I decided to start loading tomorrow. I found out that I can have my lab work done tomorrow so that's what influenced my decision. This time, I'm getting a cheesecake (like I've always done), but am not doing the mac & cheese and ice cream. I'm excited and this time I'll end the round properly. Have a great day everyone! ![]() |
