Losing inches, no scale weight

When I did hhcg back in July, I was rogue, and the weight came off easily.

This time, not so much.

I am weight training and doing Callanetics several times a week.

My body is changing, but the scale isn't matching up.

Anyone else experience this?

Are you doing Dr. S strict protocol or rogue?

It is possible that if you are doing rogue you are maintaining your weight, yet you are re-shaping b/c the fat is shifting. You can reference P & I where dr. S talks about increasing calories when all abnormal fat is gone. Fat will continue to shift but further weight loss will not occur. He also writes about the emaciated women who did protocol with increased calories and her fat hips & thighs reduced and she got fat in her face and upper body where she had looked emaciated, yet she did not lose any weight.

These two examples could explain why you are not losing weight but you are losing inches.

Have you lost a 1/2 pound a day on AVERAGE?

No I have not experienced this but I do not work out yet... I'm at a normal BMI now, but when I finish this phase 2 round I do plan to incorporate exercise.

Blessings,
Shirley - Round 3 VLCD 53 - 26.4 pounds Total hcg loss: 88.8 pounds

Weight training will also cause this. Muscle weighs more than fat but takes up less space. If you are weight training and gaining muscle, your body will shrink but your weight will stay the same and/or go up. This is especially true if you are doing hcg at the same time which is muscle sparing and fat burning. HTH

I tend to see lb loss or inch loss, but not both at the same time -- this has been true with all my rounds. I lose the most inches when I am in a scale stall -- HTH.

In my experience the scale is a liar. Go by how you look in the mirror, much better indicator of progress than a scale. Also, measuring is helpful. You can be 140 lbs of flab or a 140 lbs of pure lean muscle, the scale will tell you only one number but your mirror will tell you the truth. HTH!
