Shirley -- I have had rounds where I was gnawingly hungry pretty much the whole time --- I got hungry at the end of my first round (which was long, and protocol) -- and I've had rogue rounds where I was hungry beginning to end.

I find this so intriging... I've been on many hcg yahoo groups and now here o this forum. And I seem to see some that have no hunger.. don't even want to eat their 500 cals of food. Those who are just hungry at meals. AND those who are hungry constantly. WHY??? My thoughts are that with the level of toxicity our bodies have to deal with is very different than in Dr. S's time.. and maybe the hcg just is not as "effective" fighting through all the garbage that is in our stored fat layers AND body in general. It simply does not make sense that with every dosing method there are people in ALL THREE groups.

BUT I'm relieved to find that others struggle to and it isn't just me being a whimp!

Today -1... 146.2. My stats for the past few days of VLCD at about 600 cal a day are as follows:

48 2/20/2012 150.00 0.00 First day VLCD w/ cream in coffee
49 2/21/2012 148.60 -1.40
50 2/22/2012 148.40 -0.20
51 2/23/2012 147.20 -1.20
52 2/24/2012 146.20 -1.00

Mind you I've lost and regained between 152 - 147 about 3 times this round due to cheats. BUT, these great stats make me want to push it just a few more days. I still think that if I'm struggling with hunger by Monday it will be my Last Dose so I can head into TOM on phase 3. BUT I'm just going to take it one day at a time.

Man, you're in a rough spot. Sore teeth, migraine hangover (that's what I call it-dh gets them too). I'm sure it's just H2O retention. Hope you have a good weekend.

This next round won't be as long as I don't have that much to lose and this time I am getting a Costco cheesecake for my loading days.

Violet-just wanted to send you some . I don't have any advice for you, but I hope that lump is just something benign and goes away on it's own. Good for you sticking to Atkins and getting on that treadmill . Hopefully you won't need another round to get back down where you were. It's such a lifelong battle!! So glad you like your job and you and dh are being rewarded for your hard work. Such a blessing, especially in this economy! And, on the non-dairy creamer-that's made from corn syrup solids, which is another word for sugar. I'd switch back to real cream. Woudl be more Atkins! Hope you have a great weekend!

Shirley-that's great progress, 4lbs in 4 days!! I would also be tempted to see how much further I could go. Hope you find the happy balance in there!

Mini-how's it going today? Hope you're well rested and feeling strong.

Cheryl-glad your dog is doing well. Too funny about her happy wagging keeping her from healing faster. A good challenge to face. Hope your side/tummy feels better. Take it easy.

Hiker-glad you have a bit more time. That will work out much better. For fast food, I always choose the bunless burger. Rarely is there any sugar added to those. Grilled chicken, and salads don't do as well for me. For the car, chicken salad, lunchmeat (Boar's head is usually better), cheese sticks, yogurt all travel well in a cooler for me. And drink plenty of water. It's too easy to get away from the water drinking when you travel.

I'm down a lb today. I can't believe it. Actually, the first time I got on the scale it read 152.4, which would be 1.4 overnight. The second and third times it read 152.8, which made me very happy!! I tried some yerba mate chocolatte tea last night. Maybe that helps? Who knows. I am just really pleased with this round. I'm convinced that a LONG break between rounds is really the key to success. Very little hunger, good energy, successful losses. I was due for a decent round. My last two were el-stinko!! so much so that I really resisted trying another round. But, gotta' admit, whatever else the Simeon's plan is, it does work.

Have a great weekend. I'm gonna' try really hard not to eat out. Dh is wanting to take me out tomorrow night. I'm trying to guide him toward a movie. A coke zero and some gum will help me through that.

Finally caught up on the thread.

Big hugs to all those going through a lot. I have been praying for you all.

Hiker, I am very sorry about your dad, but happy that you remember the good times. Good news on being able to finish your round and transition smoothly into P3.

Violet, to you friend. I pray the lump is nothing. I had a lymph node in my neck (on the side) get infected when I was sick. It got larger than a golf ball and had to be removed. I have a nice scar where it was. My son has a lot of lumps/swollen nodes in the back of his head and neck because of his allergies, so it really may be nothing. Thank you so much for being so honest with us. That takes a lot of guts. Was good to hear from you! Hope you stick around.

to you all. I have been so busy this week. My weight is holding steady at 139.5, which is rather annoying, but I am going to keep pushing through. I have gotten a lot smaller with my workouts, so that helps ease the frustration a bit.

So I broke my cleanse. I have TOM in full force and between that and giving up caffiene for lent I feel like pure crud. I'm going to wait a few days and eat moderately and then pick it up again. I'm feeling the benefits so I hate to do this, but I have to. Im making a vow to not eat junk! I'll probably resume Sunday or monday and I'm going to be taking hHCG with it

I'm inching down the scale in .2 intervals at the moment, but that's ok -- a loss is still a loss, and I am happy to have them.

I am going to drop back down in calories today I think, back to the 500-ish, and see how I fare with that. I am definitely feeling stronger and better after a couple of higher calorie days, though. I also had very little hunger this morning.

I decreased my morning drops a bit, since I am trying to stretch what I have to last through Tuesday when the new ones come. If I need to skip a day, I will -- a lot of folks recomment that anyhow with the rx.

I am seeing some lovely reshaping right now -- my lower body is losing a lot, and I am looking a lot more even all around -- the upper body isn't looking skinny by comparison -- so I am super pleased with that.

I do have that bizarre, jiggly fat thing going on in my legs -- but it is a bit better than a few days ago and I can really see the inch loss on my thighs and butt! If that keeps up, I am happy to extend this round for another few weeks -- even if the scale losses are somewhat minimal.

I would be pretty satisfied with just a few more pounds if they came off the right areas.

Feeling good. Mom's settled in the rehab and it looks like it'll be a good fit. Quite a relief.

Just ate lunch, tuscano soup made w/ homemade chick broth and spinach and chicken sausage - Yummy!! Drinking my water and gearing up for the weekend. I will be strong, I will be strong, I will be strong. I can have that later, I can have that later, I can have that later

Julie -- you are doing a short round, yes? You are nearly done!

Don't even think of caving now, not after coming this far!!!

I, on the other hand, am staring down potentially 3 to 4 more weeks of p2 -- and that seems a tiny bit daunting, except that this round is going so well, I want to milk it for all its worth.

If money permits (that's a big if) -- I think I may treat myself to a skin tightening treatment on the other end of maintenance. There's a med spa near here that is running some pretty amazing specials right now through the end of April-- but who knows... maybe I won't even need it!

I'll definitely be breaking out my wellbox, and the heavy skincare guns, in p3 -- body wraps, bring 'em on! I don't know that they do all that much for inch loss, but they sure do make the skin feel lovely.

Need to go take my nighttime dose, drink some water, and watch a bit of TV. I should go see how my mom is doing as they transferred her to the nursing home tonight. I am just beat. Emotionally, physically, tired. A good night's sleep will do me good!!

Thanks wonderful! Atkins on the run is always bringing a small cooler with cheese, pre-cooked bacon, beef jerky, deviled eggs, etc. Or just order something like bacon double cheeseburgers and tell them to "hold that special sauce but give a blob of mayo."

I loaded sun/mon/tues, gained 5 pounds and as of this am lost all 5, amazing. I am doing 650 calories a day only, to worried about my hair falling out. Anyone eat at pf changs while on p2, is it possible? They have alot of gluten free items. I have been so lax with this hcg, time to tighten the belt and do it, no excuses LOL Good luck everyone. Mary

I hear that biotin helps guard against hair loss -- and I think there are a couple of other supplements that do as well-- maybe someone else will chime in....

I am back from my equine care day. It was wet. And cold. And foggy. And the horses could sense the weather system was in a state of flux. By the time I left there was lightening flashes. (Wind is predicted up to 40 and 50 mph this weekend.) Only two of the six horses were acting close to normal. I'm glad it's over and I'm home safe and dry for the remainder of the week.

Enjoying some Chardonnay as I type this. Still off plan and no idea where to go from here. Thinking of ordering some food for delivery. Wish I could order some Mexican. Anything that comes to your door is better than what you have to run after.

Hi all! Sorry, work has been nuts! Yesterday I had to go sub at an intercity school. My little country schools all closed for ice and fog. Anyway, its amazing how different the kids act and how little the parents care. So so sad. I did lots of hugging! I'm a social worker at the preschool level mainly working with the parents and their parenting skills. Yesterday since we are short teaching staff I was in the classroom. On top of that one of my classrooms has one too many kids and I get to deliver the news that one child will be dropped. I had to pick. How do you pick? And on top of that at a meeting today we were told we got a deficiency notice and are in danger of losing the grant. I'll know more in about a month. Really my employer is a sinking ship. They took away a ton of the benefits from the staff and lost many staffers because of it. Now they're hiring second rate people who can't do the job. One employee let a child roam the halls at one school and get lost and another left a child on the bus. Yes, sad.

Anyway, my weight is back to 140 but I'm struggling big time with the purging. I found a doctor and I'm making an appointment. I can't do this to myself.

Hiker, so sorry to hear about your dad. I hope that he is at peace.

I'm sorry but I'm not feeling personals. Totally stressed from work right now. I'm sure the scale is going to be crazy high tomorrow also as I made the kids peanut butter popcorn and I helped them finish it.

Melanie, that is so difficult! How DO you choose one student to be dropped? What the hell is this country coming to? I mean, seriously! How did we get to this point? It's a crying shame.

My horse day was wet, cold and foggy. I'm not in the mood to talk about it in detail, but I'm so happy to be home, dry and relaxed for the entire weekend. I have no plans except to stay in my PJ's and drain the wine from their bottles. Got Mexican food on the way and I didn't even know there was a place that delivered! It costs $5 for delivery but if it's good, I'm in big trouble.

I do not struggle with hair loss but have received this recommendation from gals who HAVE due to losing weight so rapidly.

thymus 2 500mg capsules per day
L-cysteine 2 500mg capsules per day
Biotin 2 5000mcg capsules per day
MSM 2 1500mg capsules per day

They take them during ALL the phases.

And I totally agree with the losing pounds in the right spots... you and me both!!

I've actually felt a little better today.. not as hungry as the past few days. I did adjust my dose, maybe it is helping. BUT I adjusted my dose UP.. so that means I will get less out of my vile. The only problem with that is I might end up running out during or near the end of TOM.. I do have some hhcg if it runs out during TOM. I don't want to mix my last vile for only a couple days especially since no more overseas companies are allowed to ship to the US anymore.. the FDA finally cracked down. :-( So the place in India I ordered my hcg from no longer offers it. Thanks FDA!

Aw man, that's no good about the FDA and overseas shipping -- I'd heard some rumors to that effect. I'm surprised I could still get the stuff I got -- I must have just squeezed in before the supply was cut off -- all the more reason to make this the final round, and make the losses stick, then.

I did end up going above the 500 again today -- I think I came in at about 750 cals today -- mostly protein. I'm thinking that still may be good for continued losses -- in fact, historically I have seemed to lose better on a few more calories -- that 700-800 range seems to be best for me.

I hear you on the stress -- it makes everything a lot worse, and tends to make our less desirable behaviors flare right up -- your job sounds pretty heartbreaking.

Are you feeling better with more protein?? Hope so! You have too much on your daily plate to not have the energy to deal with it all!

I've received MANY emails today from concerned hcgers asking what I was doing?? I told them I was making this my last round and hope to never again need hcg!

Cheryl, its a shame really. All of this could have been avoided if they would have just LISTENED to me in July when they were making the class lists out. I knew i was missing kids that needed to be in the afternoon class and had IEP (individualized education plans meaning they are special needs). All hell broke lose and they had to put an extra child in the class to stick to the law of letting these kids in. Now one little girl is paying the price since her parents didn't comply with the rules of turning in paperwork as she would have been eligible for an IEP but after chasing them for 5 months and them not turning in ANY of the paperwork I need she is being taken out. So so sad and unfair to her who loves school. OK, off my soapbox about that.

Ok, the recipe, Here's the original (and my modified lower carb changes):
~Peanut Butter Popcorn~
1/2 cut light corn syrup (1/2 stick of butter)
1/2 cup sugar (splenda brown sugar)
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
... 6-8 cups popped popcorn

Place popped popcorn in medium size bowl.
In small saucepan stir together corn syrup and sugar heating until mixture is clear and just starts to bubble.
Add peanut butter and stir until melted. Be careful not to boil this too long because it will burn!
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
Pour mixture over popcorn and stir using a rubber scraper until all the popcorn is coated with peanut butter mixture.

Ok mine wasn't pretty as the pics I saw of this but it was yummy!

Thanks for the kind word Mini. Right now my big concern is having to let my husband in on this. He suspects something, he's asked jokingly but to outright tell him is going to very difficult. I'm trying to figure out how I can just keep it a secret. The one IRL friend that knows I no longer talk to. It just got to the point where every conversation went to my ED and then we'd fight. I finally started getting on him about his diabetes and morbid obesity and after a huge 24 hour around the clock texting fight I banned his number and unfriended him on facebook and that's been it. I felt like it being in my face all the time made me want to do it more. That's how it'll be with my husband. I'll do it in spite. But I will call. I made it one day the last 3 weeks without purging. Its got to end!

Ok off my chest now to bed. I've got dinner for tomorrow made and the kids and I are eating lunch at the gym. I've promised them this for the past 3 weeks now! I have my 5 mile run day tomorrow so I'm going to welcome a good meal after it! They have a cooking school as well so the food is pretty amazing looking and it's all freshly made and most of it is organic! Then we'll swim in their indoor water park and head home for a fun filled night of UNO, lol! I promised they could make pancakes for breakfast (this should be interesting). I gotta get to bed as I'm sure they'll have me up by 6 as they're super excited to get cooking! I'm having breakfast burrito btw on a low carb tortillia!

Melanie! You're very brave for facing this and getting help! I hope dh is gentle and supportive. Maybe he'll surprise you. Whatever his reaction, you're doing the right thing. Have fun tomorrow with your kids. That sounds like a great gym!!

Whew, I just got home for first time in couple days. Kept the calories low. 465 and 582 for the days I was gone. Didn't get an a.m. weight. P.M. weight was 159 but I don't count that.

Gosh you guys, I weighed 150 when I got married! Granted, I was 30 years old, but 150 again would be aweseome!! I remember i was at 150 for several years so it will be a big sticking point, but will cross that bridge when I get there.

Boyfriend is awesome!! Fence seems to be finished (I was told it was finished, its pitch black dark outside), Horse show tomorrow if its not too wet from the rains. I hope so. I can ride my daughter's new horse since mine is still out with horsie sprained ankle (bowed tendon). Hope I get to COWGIRL UP tomorrow!!

Melanie-- I totally agree that you are very brave to be facing this -- and I hope your husband is understanding and supportive. Your ex-friend sounds like he handled the whole thing horribly (I remember when that happened!) -- let's hope it goes a lot better at home.

Julie I'm feeling very satisfied today food wise, but I also think I came in at about 800 calories, or possibly even a little more (not much)-- and that may well be too high for any losses

Well, tomorrow is another day, and I have three weeks or more to go, so I suspect I'll get my losses one way or the other, and probably better not to be totally dragged out at the end of it.

I do think I am going to try to go back to protocol-level calories tomorrow, and see how I fare. I planned to do that today, but ended up doing a ton of physical work in the studio, and was exhausted and weak by the end of it.

Woot woot for the ViRgIn WeIgHt Paula!!!!

I've decided that I'm not going to tell my husband for now. He's the kind of man who wouldn't be able to handle it well and we're nearing the anniversary of the death of his aunt and grandma. They raised him and they died about a year ago now just 3 weeks apart. It was a horrible blow, esp. since his aunt was only 46. He's having enough issues dealing with that right now. Plus I know this will come with me having to help him accept it and I can't accept it myself let alone help him through it. He's very needy and I can't deal with that right now.

My weight was good. The peanut butter popcorn didn't do too much damage but wow was it amazing! I just at a delicious breakfast burrito on a low carb tortillia and I'm getting ready to head to the gym for the day. Yes, we're very fortunate to have this place. I joined for the kids but it's been a great place for the whole family!
