Does it take the full 21 days to stabilize on P3?

I started this diet and the info I was given from the drops I ordered online was that you had to do P3 for 10 days. I started P2 then started reading more about the diet on-line and realized it is 21 days. Normally it wouldn't matter but we are leaving for Hawaii on day P3 Day 10 for me. I am worried about keeping to the diet while on vacation and was wondering what other people's P3 experience was like?

Basically, how good do I have to be? I want some baked goods but really dislike Stevia and I gained when I tried Splenda.....bummer. Hoping to stabilize quickly!

Oh, enjoy your vacation in Hawaii!!! We were there this summer, and it was the best vacation I've ever had. I was on P4 for the vacation, and although I did not over-indulge, I was not careful with what and how much I ate and did manage to put on 6 pounds in the two weeks we were there. (My husband, who is not on any diet plan, gained the same as well!)

I know that Simeons recommends 3 weeks of P3 in Pounds & Inches. I can tell you, however, that I had some rounds where I did everything according to strict protocol, and I could not stabilize in P3 to save my life. (Stabilized like a rock in my first and fourth rounds, not at all after my second and third rounds--go figure!)

Of course your chances at stabilization are probably better if you do a full 3 weeks of P3, but everyone's experience is varied, and you have to decide how you want to do your vacation. I don't regret my 6 pound weight gain, because I didn't overeat, I really relaxed and enjoyed myself.

Whatever you decide, I hope it works out well for you and that you have a great time!

I would still try to do no starch no sugar on vacation - just think regular low carb eating. There's plenty to eat without that stuff.

IF you do the first 4-5 days of P3 as similar as P2 but way increased protein as you can and add some healthy fat, add no dairy or nuts for a bit and get stable, you may be ok or at least keep it under control. Bummer you were told wrong about the days but NOT a bummer you get to go to Hawaii! Have fun!
