I have been on P3 for about 3 weeks, not stabilizing, and 6 pounds over LDW. Should i continue doing P3, or should i go into P4 in a couple of days?

IMHO Keep doing p3 until you stabilize like 4 or 5 days in a row with no fluctuation, then you can go to p4. Correction days will get you back to under 2 lbs fromn your Last injection/dose weight. If you go to p4 now you will prolly see a gain.

Hi everyone. Slammed this morning at work--had a noon deadline for a project which I was able to slide in just under.
![]() I was down this morning 1.5 after yesterday's cd to 142.5, so well within my window (LDW 141.4). I am eating a regular P3 today, a little lighter on calories, to see if this keeps me here or drops me a little more. If I am not able to sustain this weight (or close to LDW) on this amount of calories, I may hop back on P2 on Saturday. TOmorrow will be 14 days of P3 so technically I could consider it an interruption, and go back to P2 for a couple of weeks. I haven't ever "cycled" so it may or may not work. I am just struggling a bit to keep this weight stable and would really like this to be an easier reset. We can always hope, eh? ![]() Update on the bf: After mistakenly eating 2 servings of P2 chili for dinner last night (do men actually RETAIN even 50% of what they read or people tell them???), he was still down 1.2 this morning. AND HE IS UNHAPPY WITH THAT!!!!! He lost 3.6 then 2.4, now on day three, after having at least an additional serving of protein and veg, he's down 1.2. OMG...I keep telling him that 1 pound a day is EXCELLENT. He keeps telling me that he just has to work harder to make it come off faster. So, the real question here is...knife, shotgun, or rope? ![]()

i am confused by how we count the carbs. Say i have a bag of flax seeds that contains 4g of carb per serving, but all the 4 g come come from dietary fiber, then does it mean it has technically 0 carb?

Jennifer - Why are you counting carbs? If you are trying to balance macro nutrients, then yes, count the carbs because fiber or no, they still have calories.

woo hoo! Coming to P3 Saturday AM (or possibly Friday nite...I NEED a glass of wine!)
Had such a hard time deciding to go on through Monday or hang it up today. Not taking my pellets was almost torture, but I held fast. I want to squeech out a couple more pounds, but crikey! I have been at the same weight more or less since Sunday, so I called it. If I don't stabilize, I may do what you are thinking to do, Shelbyla, and cycle in another p2.. |

Well ladies, after 2 crazy weeks of trying to stabilize, I think I am going to call this an interruption and go back to P2 for another week or so. Something has not been "re-set" despite 25+ days of straight protocol, my body keeps wanting to jump up to a previous setpoint. I want to be lower darnit so back to the drops/pellets I go so hopefully I can stick these 140's. I'll be lurking and I'll be back soon...

I don't seem to be stabilizing as well this round either but it's probably b/c I started having too many carbs too early in P3! I've done 2 CD's and today is Day 18 and am at 192 so hoping tomorrow the scale is down instead of up! Then I won't have to do a CD!
I have done really well this week! P4 starts on Valentines Day! I've not had any potatoes, rice or pasta but rather some sugar and alcoholic drinks during this P3. With all that said, I've come a long way from where I was last year! I started working out and counting calories in Jan of 2011 and I never want to do that again! It took me about 5 months to lose 15 pounds. Since late Oct 2011 I've lost a total of 30 pounds so I'm happy! I've learned that it's okay to have a treat once in a while not EVERY DAY! Hoping that after 1 more round in mid March I'll be done and at a happy weight. Have a Rockin' Friday Girls!

hello, after doing days of food tracking o ******, i found that my weight does not change if i take fat: protein: carb at like ~65, ~30,~5. I wonder, if i want to get back to my window, should i eat this proportion for a day, then a correction day, then this proportion for another day, and then another correction day, etc?>

@jennifer, Shelby really is good at that kind of ration stuff, but I would say to give it a try. Alternate correction days with that and see where it gets you.
I'm heading into P3, girls! Woo hoo!!! Marie's Blue Cheese dressing and MIXED VEGGIES are MINE! |

Yay Cmarie!!!!!!!
I'm stabilizing like a rock, I had a day where I was close to needing a CD but I just watched my cheese intake the next day and was fine. 145.6 I'm having wine every day and cheese, but not half a block LOL... I haven't done anything different this round except I only eat when I am hungry, but when I eat, I go to town! Otherwise I just nibble on some macadamia nuts etc. Hubby made some chili last night that was so delish....tonight he is making Brazilian coconut chicken

Well, poo. I just don't what to do at this point. I am DOWN the mysterious 4 pound gain from yesterday to 142 something. 12 hours of sleep and Bernice visiting like 4 times yesterday probably helps but seriously...3.8 pounds overnight. To dose or not to dose? That IS the question...

Shelbyla~ if I recall in your past rounds, you had large fluctuations in the beginning of P3, then rocked it out. Do you think that is what you are experiencing again?
Day 1 of P3 for me, although I had wine and nibbled on tiny bits of cheese last night. Down 1.5 this morning.. Had scrambled eggs and bacon this morning, with cream in my coffee~ heavenly Having greek yogurt for lunch with blackberries, and will likely have a big ol' steak and veggies for dinner. I must remember to keep eating fruit this round! |

Welcome C'Marie! P3-land eagerly awaits your arrival!
Shelby, geez, I dunno. That sure confuses the issue, doesn't it? Sunny, yay for stabilization! dbunny, it sounds like you are off to a wonderful start of P3. Jennifer, sounds like a worthy experiment to me. Baileysgirl, it looks like you are finding your "zone" as of this week. This whole hcg thing is SO much more than a 40 day protocol, isnt it? There is so much to learn about our bodies, how to care for it, and how to rehabilitate disempowering bad behaviour. As for me, so far so good. Stabilizing well during this first week. Haven't added nuts yet, so we shall see. I'm sorry i go MIA....I try to keep up with the reading even if I have no time to post. Now that first week of spring semester is over, I might be able to keep up better. Also, I promised a recipe and haven't forgotten, but I must run now. Happy P3-ing everyone! |

Brazilian coconut spicy chicken
1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon ground turmeric 1 teaspoon ground coriander 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves (I keep the skin) salt and pepper to taste 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 onion, chopped 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 3 tomatoes, seeded and chopped 1 (14 ounce) can coconut milk 1 bunch chopped fresh parsley Directions In a medium bowl, mix the cumin, cayenne pepper, turmeric, and coriander. Place the chicken in the bowl, season with salt and pepper, and rub on all sides with the spice mixture. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the chicken in the skillet. Cook 10 to 15 minutes on each side, until no longer pink and juices run clear. Remove from heat and set aside. Heat the remaining olive oil in the skillet. Cook and stir the onion, ginger, jalapeno peppers, and garlic 5 minutes, or until tender. Mix in the tomatoes and continue cooking 5 to 8 minutes. Stir in the coconut milk. Serve over the chicken. Garnish with the parsley. |

Oy! If ONLY! You're right though. I think I am going to wait ti out and see where I land. Lordy, it's stressful, though! In other news the bf was UP a pound today. The cheese? The extra food? The phase of the moon? Who knows... So he says to me, "I'm just not going to eat today. That will help me lose it again." What am I going to do with this guy??? Seriously, I could use some advice here. He's the kind of person that if you TELL him to do one thing, he will turn around and do the opposite, just to be contrary. ![]() |

LaraSuzz - question for you about the coquilles san jacques recipe. The sauce--is that for one pound of seafood? I made this tonight and used like 1/3 of the sauce. Not that the sauce itself isn't good enough to eat with a spoon
(and I must admit to eating a couple spoonsful ) but it seemed like MORE than enough for the amount of seafood... |

So, I haven't been posting or a while... Finally finished my 3 weeks of P3 yesterday at 130.6 (my LDW is 129). Well, I guess that is not too bad. Overall, my weight was up and down a lot on the first week that I had to do CD every other day then it got much easier on the 2nd and 3rd week, ranging between 130.4-131.2 lbs. I have never been at 129 or below at all, though I have tried to eat upto 1600 calories a day even on my CD, never tried eating less. A little cheat here and day on weekends, like half of red velvet cupcake, movie theater version of mini corn dogs etc.
I feel like 131 is my reset weight rather than 129. Fat definately moved around a bit. I got smaller upper arms and better definition around neck shoulder area, but my waist actually got bigger!! So new jeans I bought at the end of P2 are a little tight. :/ Anyway, can you actually go back to P2 w/o doing P4 at all? Have I gone too far to call it an interruption? I got some big event coming up end of next month and want to squeeze another short P2 and P3 in... Really want to drop another 7-10 lbs... And if I should continue my P4, should I really eat more carb to help stabilize? I quite enjoy low carb diet I have been doing. Of course I will probably eat some bread, pasta, noodles when I eat out once in a while... Thoughts? P.S. This round is my first round. Did 40 days of HHCG drops. .
