I"m so frustrated today. I started Monday I think it was and I have just steadily been gaining every day since. This hasn't happened in the past. I feel bloated and just yuck. I've been drinking lots of water, but it's not helping. I know another issue is that I have not gone to the restroom in a couple of days either.
I suppose I need to get some smooth move tea or something. It's just so frustrating seeing the scale keeping moving up and I'm doing everything right. Not giving into cheats or anything. :-(
Has anyone else had this issue when TOM is here?

good morning.

I'm not having a good week. Sunday I had fish for dinner and I'm pretty sure is was bad. It didn't taste right so I only had about 4 bites and just ate my cabbage. Well all night long I was in the bathroom. I almost didn't make it to work on Monday. My tummy was still upset all day Mon. and I didn't really eat. When I got home I just went off the deep end and I'm still trying to get back down to Sundays weight. As of this morning I'm still .2 lbs away.

Today is VLCD30. I will be heading into P3 sometime next week. I have about 14 more prepared meals left in the fridge and I'm going to finish them. I am so ready for P3. Oh and so far for this round I've lost 21 lbs.

Hope everybody has a great day.

Brenda

Ok, I keep seeing this, but not sure what everyone is talking about. What is the detox bath? Sounds like it might be relaxing though!

I do one every couple of days, helps pull toxins and water out and also helps with the bowels lol. My detox (everyone has a recipe) is epsom salts and ground ginger. Get bath hot as possible and sit in there 20-30 minutes. When you dry off put warm clothes one and keep sweating. Keep some water next to the tub and a towel to wipe the sweat off your face lol. Works every time on the scale and in the bathroom

I started TOM on monday, during TOMi take some detox baths and a water pill (only during TOM or after a hard core workout) to help with the bloat, I do gain first day of TOM but after that I start going back down. The detox bath will help with the water and help with your bowel movements. Beware that smooth move tea is habit forming (per my vitamin shop) I use the baths to "go" lol as epsom is a laxative

Thanks! I already have my shopping list! SO doing this tonight w/ some smooth move...I think that is another problem of mine! hate to talk about that (tmi and all) but it hasn't been the same since I started this. Either non existent or really like water Is THAT normal? Also, I seem to be cold a LOT on this...I usually am pretty cold natured to begin with...but even more so.

I see a candle lit bath in my future for tonight!!! THAT and I have a delivery scheduled for this evening...i think from a florist from my BFF back in Texas! He is too good to me!

Congrats on the GREAT losses!!

Theresa, your body is just hanging on to that excess water. Keep drinking, it will go.

I'm down 1.3lbs today! That makes 20lbs so far and I have 2 weeks to go before P3. I'm SO hoping for 12 or 13 more lbs so I can end this round in the 240s I know it's a long shot, but my body seems to be reponding so well, I'm hoping.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Wow, I didn't know that, thanks for sharing. I've never done more than 30 days before but I'm thinking this round will be at least 40 to get to goal. So I guess I should be skipping a day as well? Does is effect your losses?

Maybe tomorrow
Went to the doctor today and they gave me 10 more injections, so I guess I'll stick it out. I was going to start phase 3 on the 18th, but with these injections being used, it will take me through to the 22nd. I CAN do this!
Have a great day, y'all! Lyn

I had a wonderful 1.0 loss this morning. I am so glad, because I didn't even go to the bathroom much last night. I'm so close to the 120's I can almost taste it.

I think I just put this to someone else but smooth move is habit forming so be careful, vitamin dude at my shop told me you're bowels will start to count on and need the tea, stopped me right away lol, good thing about the detox bath is epsom salts are a laxative and even absorbed into your skin you'll have to "go" within an hour or two...does me anyway lol. Good luck!

Hi everyone,

Sorry I’ve been so off-list lately. Work-home-family-diet juggle has been a little challenging this week. But I definitely want to be part of the group and support you all!

After a fairly slow, and water retaining start, I’m happy to say that week 3 has been great! I clocked in at 167.6 this morning!! Woo-hoo!! That’s over 14 pounds down! I’m not quite at the half-way point (doing a 40 day cycle) and the food (or lack thereof) has definitely been challenging but I’m so happy to fit into more of my clothes! I hadn’t bought anything to wear when I was in the 180’s because I just couldn’t bear it. So I ended up wearing the same old few of items. But now my jean-pool (ha ha) has doubled!! I’m inspired and ready to get out of the 160’s! Only 7ish more pounds to go! That seems like nothing in the big scheme of things.

Congrats to you all on your successes thus far and for all those having trouble just push through it. I hardly had anything going on last week other than water retention and no movement in the scale. It can’t stick to you forever!! Just keep going and the losses will catch up.

Awesome congrats on the promotion.
I've been so busy today that I havent been able to check in
Well I had a nice .8 lb loss this morning!!!
Then after i got to work I figured out that I missed my shot today. OOPS! Now I am trying to figure out what to do.
Do I give myself the whole shot or 1/2 shot when I get home?? I already had my skip day this week and it is really too soon to have another one! I read somewhere 1/2 shot is enough if you are doing it in the evening to make it up for the day. Any input on this would really help.

I've been through 2 rounds down 75 pounds and looking to lose another 10 pounds or so to reach my ultimate goal in these final 30 days VLCD. So, yes I've been through it. I find that no sugar no starch is a new way of life for me. I could eat some whole grains after round 1 but not after round 2. I'm hoping that eventually I'll be able to have some in moderation. Started my journey at 235, actually did a phase 1 (detox phase) so technically I've lost 87 pounds on this protocol. :-) Finish strong and stick with the phase 3 rules of no sugar no starch for at least 3 weeks in order to stabilize well.

The hcg stays in your system for 72 hours, so you can skip it altogether today and just plan to dose tomorrow. It should not effect your losses.

I always gain at TOM and ovulation. ... It usually starts to melt off again after a couple days. I always increase my water and SMtea or magnesium will help with the plumbing issue.

I have the not going to the bathroom issue, and let me tell you it makes you feel awful, depressed even. Up your dose of magnesium, and maybe find a good starch free fiber to take. That's what I'm doing. Don't think I'm supposed to use brand names on here. I've had to start using my fiber (it's starch/grain/sugar/fat/psyllium free) combined with cascara to go. It's still a work in progress though, everybody's body responds differently and to different dosages. Hopefully that helps. If not, you could always go for a colonic... Seriously. They make a big difference.

Started my journey at 235, actually did a phase 1 (detox phase) so technically I've lost 87 pounds on this protocol. :-) Finish strong and stick with the phase 3 rules of no sugar no starch for at least 3 weeks in order to stabilize well.

OMGEE 75 lbs that is amazing!!! How did you lose that much??? I was kinda hoping for big numbers my first round...and so was my doc since my body composition is kinda like a mans...but I doubt it is gonna happen.

I made my dinner of baked cod and spinach chip....and sprinkled Tony Cacheres (sp?) on the spinach....hello....salty! Do they have to put salt in EVERYTHING? I'm realizing just how much salt i consume! I need to focus on cutting way back....now that I don't have that sugar crutch anymore!

Thank you! My birthday is February 17. I am 5'3...barely.

My goal is 140, or thereabouts.

Yes, 30 pounds, but a lot of it was a do over from my last round. 30 pounds each time, but have really netted about 54 pounds total. If I wouldn't have lost control and eaten my face off over the holidays (plus birthday and Thanksgiving ~ basically a month long binge) I would be way past my goal. But oh well, one more to go. Hopefully a short 15 to 20 pound one lost round..

hcground1, I missed this last time--I only have very big losses in the very first few days of the VLCD. In Round 1, 2, 3, & 4 I lost 9-10 pounds in the first 7 days (of VLCD, including 2 lb load weight). In Round 5 I only lost 7 lbs in the first week. After that I lose on average 1/2 pound per day. During my last round I stalled at the same weight for 10 whole days!

I didn't lose anything from yesterday to today, (the scale kept flickering from 127.4 to 128.0 and then stopped at 128.0, so I'm hoping I'll be 127.4 tomorrow).

But at least I didn't gain! These "last 10 pounds" move SO SLOWLY! And it stinks I have to do another interruption before I finish this round. But I'm in this for the long haul. And I will NOT let myself gain weight again during the next interruption. It is so not worth it. (This is me praying I can actually control myself!)

Tonight I went to a party and it was tough passing up some things I won't mention because we don't need to hear about them in P2. But I can have them later!
