Good afternoon. Quick check in. What a hectic day that started with one of my kids throwing up all over my couch not a good start to the day. I'm down to 3 now so I'll be done for the weekend pretty soon. Besides some grocery shopping and a trip to the library, I plan on relaxing a lot.
I'm doing good with the juice cleanse. Of course only 11 hours in but so far so good. No hunger, a little fatigue, and a small headache which green tea seems to be helping. I did weigh this morning but won't count a real weight until tomorrow. Fingers crossed that my week of LC and 1 day juicing gives me a nice number.

Wishing you LUCK, Jackie! Sorry about the barf incident.

Off to get ready for equine therapy (for me! We're all in therapy, ya know.) Check back later. Tonight I get to work with a girl that I only work with every other Friday. We are a better match. I have no expectations because I know where that gets me, but I'm open to anything.

Have a great barn day, Cheryl -- and hugs to you Disney about the rough morning!

I got brave and had my raspberries and blackberries with my lean beef -- hope that is okay with my body -- I don't want to blow this current success, at all.

Feeling great so far -- and really committed to doing at least the 23 days of the protocol. If the losses keep up even half this well, I may well reach goal in that time. I supposedly have enough of the hcg for a 30 day round (and yes, I am counting each and every drop!) -- so I will likely finish out what I have before stopping.

If I don't make goal, I'll do a p3 break, stabilize, and then do another round like this one. No more enormously long rounds for me -- I don't think they work for my body or my mind.

Cheryl and Gremom- Yay!!!

Mini- Yay for your losses you doing spectular! You so deserve it!

Disney- I did a 3 day cleanse over the summer. I actually got to like the green juice. Weight wise it did nothing . But I definitely had a flatter tummy. Good luck! And I hope you can get that couch clean!

Paula- Parmesan cheese makes everything better!

Praying for you as well! You are doing so well, those last pounds will be gone before you know it!

GOOD LUCK to you, DP! I am so excited to hear about your juice fast! I have only ever heard good things about those....and hope your little one feels better soon!!

These last few pounds will get DOWN no matter what it takes but hcg is not the answer, not right now at least. I have been pondering about it today, since I have reserves I might wait until after St. Patrick's Day - I DO actually have a lot going on socially until then so I may just go ahead and do P3/P4...my mind changes minute to minute though. I never know what I'm going to do until I wake up!
Off to the store, super excited for some avocadoes, coconut oil, and GY.

Troubleshooting time...

I did really well for a week on ~1200 calories per day and ended up losing about 6 lbs during that time. Last Saturday I had a high fat day and lost 2.5 or so lbs on the scale, bringing me to a low of 158.8.

The next day I went back to my 1200 calorie plan and was up around 159.5, which I figured was water. The next day I was back to 160 something, and all week long I've struggled to lose more than .2.

I'm trying a new approach as of today... Protein and coconut oil (and limited strawberries) at a total of 1100 calories or less per day.

I think my carbs have been too high eating primarily 1200 calories per day of protein and carbs, which is preventing me from losing weight. I've felt surprisingly good today on the coconut oil, and I'm hoping to see a drop on the scale today.

*sigh* I'll keep you guys updated. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Do you workout hard? Is that why you want your calories up that high everyday? I don't think I'd lose much if I ate that many calories per day. I shoot for 500 and usually end somewhere around 600-700. On bad days I'm up around 1000, but that is never my intention to be that high.

Barn day. Hmmmm. Here's what I wrote on the Atkins thread:

"As for me I am resting my feet after another farm day. I think I need to find me a paying gig. There are far too few perks with this deal. I feel I am being taken advantage of and not the least bit validated. Tonight was another nail in the coffin. I don't understand people sometimes.

The equine care manager was there. They (the three paid people; one of which wasn't even supposed to be there tonight) were lunging the horses and exercising them. Two of them went and walked two of the horses out in the field, the way we did that one time several long weeks ago. There I was, with the rake and wheel barrel, going about the chores.

Eventually the manager asked me if I'd like to walk with the horses with them. I naturally jumped at the chance. I went to the barn to take a long drink of my water and returned to take hold of one of the horses. Well, turns out all 3 of them were going! One was riding, the other two were walking a horse each. So what was my part in this? Apparently to follow along behind! I walked with them a ways and then I just turned around and went back to doing something that didn't upset me.

To me, that was just plain cruel. What was she thinking when she asked me to go and walk the horses? Am I just paranoid or are my communication skills that terrible? I think it's the opposite. I am up-front and speak plainly and most other people aren't like that. So I don't know how much longer I'm going to keep doing this.

I know they aren't the only therapeutic riding center around. Maybe I need to try on a different one and see if it goes smoother."

So the word that is playing around in my head begins with an F and ends with ers.

My doc allows 1 tbsp of parmesan per day. I buy the fresh shredded from the store instead of the powdered. Its great on vegetables and in salads.

Get ready for it... virgin fat territory - I am there/ 163.4 and that was at 7:30 at night!!! I just got home and couldn't wait to weigh (missed this a.m.). I was good today - calories count coming up. I had to stop and get smoothies for my daughter and friend. I was not a happy camper 7 hours after lunch having eaten zip, but I made it. Okay I took 2 sips of a smoothie because I needed to take a pill. Anyway that was dag gum delicious. Will get to personals soon. Have to go update the Red Hots on my progress!!

Calories, if I estimated the salad right and with including the 2 sips fo smoothie, 503. Carbs 12 g, fat 8 g (roast beef is the major culprit, but I did stop and pick off the visible fat from the edges. Also, the Dreamfields has 1 gram of fat!), sugars 4 because I had real milk in my coffee (at friends house).

I can only credit the Rx for being able to stick this close to 500. It supresses the appetite and more important, makes me feel full fast and for a long time. If I felt like this all of the time I would be naturally thin. Maybe thin people feel like this after they eat. That must be the case. But you know what? In a famine situation, I would far outlive their skinny butts. LOLOLOL

Why not a paying gig? Might be just the thing to go with your new life.

Somewhat -- I hope you find a balance that works for you. I did really well with roguing at about 1200 cals for a while, but then I started stalling, and eventually gaining on that. I think I know what some of the culprits were.... but that is why I am doing very near protocol now (I had the wrong berries today, and the chicken for dinner was cooked in a tiny smidge of oil). Still came in at less than 500 cals I think, though.

So, day 4 is complete -- and it was another easy day. I could easily have gone without dinner, but I didn't -- I thought it best to eat.

I am shopped and prepped for the week on protocol, and ready to go!

So far, this is a world different from all my previous struggling around, so I really can't complain one bit!

Mini, I'm so glad I bit the bullet and got the Rx, and it ssounds like you are glad, too.

My theory (which along with $4.95 will get a you a coffee at Starbucks) is there's probably an immunity factor to the Hhcg - our bodies are so smart and designed to avoid starvation that they figure out a way around it after awhile.

Down another whole pound today.. Good luck all - the weekend has been hard for me to stick to plan and today is my first weekend day on the Rx.

Look at all the progress! Whoop!

Sasseaux, I'll take your 4.95 starbucks and agree with you....hhcg is not free of immunity! We can all hit a wall due to starvation!

Back to 125.4...no progress in last 2 weeks, but have made up for super bowl blunder.

Really hoping I can keep it together today. We have a family dinner and I have no idea what's being served...

Hi, all. Sorry I haven't posted much, things are still crazy here.

Sorry about your couch! Years ago I had to throw one out once because it just didn't come out and didn't have cushions to flip. Thank goodness it was a hand-me-down and so I wasn't attached to it. I hope you get it out. I would try the pet stain cleaners -- they seem to take out smell/stain best.

I'm excited that I am down 2 net pounds at my one week weigh-in! I think it is hard to stick to, maybe next week will be easier.

Well, a lot of reading to catch up with the goings and comings of folks here.
I see some others are struggling right now. Although I am very sorry that is true, I'm glad to have found some company.

I'm up a half pound this morning, which puts me at a solid 2.5 lbs. down for the two weeks. Actually the week end tomorrow, but unless the whoosh fairy visits, this week will end up with 0 loss. AND the hunger is returning. It might be somewhat psychsomatic as I'm beginning to get discouraged. After all, even without h-HCG, how could I not lose on 600 calories a day?

I'm probably not going to last the month, but will go another week to get the 23 days in.

QUESTION: (I'm not shouting, just trying to make this visible.) I notice some people talk about doing a fat fast. Is that during P2 or just for P3? I thought fat was anathama on P2?

BC, I did 2 fat fasts on P2. Lots of other have as well. For the most part they have been successful...check out the fat fasters thread, tons of info on there. And most of us doing them on P2, with hcg..

Belfry I surely know your pain -- I was the queen of stalls for the longest time! I suspect your hhcg isn't working for some reason -- could it be deactivated?

Catwalk -- glad you saw a loss!!

Paula -- so glad you are past the Superbowl weight! Now, let's hope it continues onward and downward on the scale for you!

Sass-- Whooohooo for you!!

I totally agree that I had become immune to the hhcg -- there are different theories about homeopathics and how long one can take them -- but I honestly think my body stopped responding after a while. I was on it forever, so it makes sense that my body would eventually say "no".

You're doing the oral hcg, right?

Yes, I am very glad I bit the bullet and got the real deal -- I also find that I am rarely hungry, and that a small bit of food fills me up quickly and keeps me full.

I am down another .6 this morning -- yay! I sailed right through that previous sticking point at 110, so that is most encouraging indeed!

4.4 more lbs, and I'll be back to my previous stall weight -- and we'll see what happens then. I'm really hoping I don't end up with the 2 weeks-long stall I hit in my first round, but even if I do, I'm sticking this round out as written.

I was a little hungry and craving this morning, but after my baked apple with Walden Farms caramel syrup, I am a happy girl again.

I swear, Walden Farms saves my butt on p2....lol. I have grown to actually like most of their products a lot... and I adore the chocolate syrup and dip. I eat it even when I am not dieting

In addition to the load, and the obvious difference of doing rx hcg and sticking to protcol, I am also keeping artificial sweeteners to something of a minimum this round -- I think that may be helping as well. I am still having some here and there, but not a lot.

I have some exciting news to share: my friend who I have been helping IRL with hcg just lost 30 pounds!! Can you say AMAZING??!! We started the same time, on January 9. She is doing one more week and then on to P3! She did SUPER STRICT protocol, no lotions, no mixing veggies...I sure wish I had the willpower to do strict protocol again! She is doing a 3 week P3 and back on to P2.

Riley -- whoohooo for your friend! Please pass along my congratulations (even though that may be random, from a total stranger, lol!)

I am not finding it that difficult to stay strict, actually -- the load and the real hcg are making a huge difference. I am still using a little bit of body cream (my hormones are in a cream base, so I have to do that) -- but most of my face products and hair products are already oil free, so that isn't a problem.... and the food is turning out to be pretty easy so far.

I am not mixing veggies, and not straying from the chicken and beef, and except for yesterday's berries I am sticking to protocol list foods -- I only bought strawberries this last shopping trip, so I won't be berry-derailed again!

I believe you said you are taking a p3 break.... if you do another round, why not give a try to doing it super clean? If you get good hcg/hhcg that does the trick, the results make it well worth the effort put into sticking to plan.

Thanks Mini! I think 1200 is working alright for now. I'm not seeing huge numbers on the scale like I would be with 500 cals but I'm definitely noticing a difference in how my body looks and how my clothes are fitting. I also realized that two weeks is a typical stall time for a lot of folks even on protocol. I'm going to keep my carbs lower for a few days and see what the scale does. 159.6 this morning, so something is moving in the right direction.

I'm so glad you have having success with Rx sublingual! You are going to have an awesome round, I can already tell

Cheryl - Yes, I workout pretty hard 3 days per week (next week I'll ramp up to 4) and I don't want my performance in the gym to decrease... just want to lose some fat and hopefully a few lbs overall. That's the reason for the 1200 right now
