RED HOT HCG'ers February
Its a new month although I am a little late
I hope to see an update for everyone, I missed way too much during my absence to catch up. Holidays were wonderful except...I did not do my p3 according to plan. I went boldly into eating and drinking whatever the heck I wanted. I do not recommend this...as there was some gain, not too traumatic but also not the way to do it. I came back and am just in the beginning of my third and final round. I really had a tough time starting, three days of cheating in the first three days of p2 (or five days of loading...lol) but I snapped out of it and have been back on track since...well with my typical rogue ways. So, specifically, a week of committed p2 so far. Hope everyone is doing well, Im looking forward to catching up. Figured I should add a few things...new month and all Just committed to keeping up the progress and to round three being a success. Goal weight here I come!!! ![]() Last edited by laylabean; 02-05-2012 at 07:35 PM.. |

Hello Lovely Layla! I am SO glad to see you posting! Not much news from me...still having an easy maintenance. No CDs, no gains...all is well for me, post HCG. The big news at my house is that my DH has lost 40 lbs in38 days. He is looking so good and feeling great. He wants to lose about ten more and then he'll go to P3. His losses in P2 have consistently been over a pound a day (men!) so I don't expect that he'll be in P2 for even 2 more weeks. I'm very proud of him.
It was REALLY funny when we went for Amy's graduation from Basic Training. She was home for Christmas. We took her back to post on January 3rd. DH started P2 on the 1st. By her graduation date, he had lost about 33 lbs...in around 3 weeks. She just couldn't stop giggling. She kept shaking her head and saying "Dang, Dad!" And I know that he was glad he looked so nice in his suit on that day.

Thanks Deb, glad to be back. Your DH is doing FANTASTIC! So great to hear. And I think I read that Amy is doing wonderful. I saw one of your photos, you are looking so great, its such an inspiration to see it.
I am down .5 today. I would love to see the losses your DH is seeing but that is 8.5 now for me in 8 cheat free days lol. The last couple days have seemed pretty easy, got back into the swing of it so I hope it remains that way. Boredom with food is my biggest demon but for whatever reason, the store here keeps stocking asparagus. I didn't get sick of it previously as none was available so it has become my go to. Still tastes good to me so its helping. Also have a few coworkers also doing hhcg so its helping for support. Talk to you soon. Morning everyone! |

Hi All! Hope you dont mind another hcger in your thread! I am doing my plan through a clinic but could really use the extra support! Im using a clinic because I really want to follow through on this round. The doctor and staff are pretty good although they charge way too much and blow alot of smoke! Why would I use them if this is what I see? - Im at that point! I did the load thing over the weekend. Starting weight was 138. Today id day 1 vlcd and I am at 134. They told me not to exercise but if I listened to everything people told me I wouldn't be here - right?! So I ran 3 miles this morning. I will watch to see how that affects my weight. I do have a wicked headache and I was nauseus driving into work this morning. Im drinking water and will add a protein shake if I feel like I need one. Hope everyone has a great day - love reading about your success!!

Yea, Layla on winning the struggle to get back on a proper rogue P2! Sometimes it can be ROUGH. And I'm so glad you had a great vacation in Jamaica and are back home in one piece.
Deb, that is so cool about Dave and his speedy weight loss. I can just imagine Amy's reaction after seeing his "before and afters" in person. Is he roguing it or following the plan that you did? Layla, too funny about the asparagus! WTG on 8.5 in 8 cheat-free days! And very helpful to have a few coworkers going through this plan with you! Hope they like asparagus too! ![]() Hi, nosugar! I'm new on this thread, too. Welcome! Is this your first round? You lost weight during your load? I've heard of that happening, but have never had the pleasure personally. (Don't forget to update your stats and claim you new numbers!) Are you on Rx hcg shots? It's a shame to pay for the clinic when you have all of us! I'm on VLCD9, so my 10.0 lbs was lost in 8 VLCD's! I am so happy right now that I need to almost pinch myself. This week will tell me more closely what I can expect from this round. (I take Vox hhcg pellets.) I hope we all have an amazing round!

Hello everyone!
![]() I am going to use this board to hop back on the train. All excuses aside, 8 months later I am back to square one. Sooo, now I am in in for a 40 day round, slightly rouge, and hoping for 25 pounds off of me once and for all. I am not the best at responding to the posts, more of a 2 cent kind of person, but I will be here with you on the adventure. ~Amber

Your loss is great! You should be proud! Im staying focused and will definately update stats! Tonight im craving my 25 calorie hot chocolate drink. I know it is not an option - ill look for some tea
Good luck Amber - im rooting for you! |

Well, if you are a "trail blazer", maybe you CAN have that hot chocolate. How brazen are you? (Oops! Forgot which thread I was on! There's a new one called "Trail blazers and path takers"!

amber and no sugarwell today was good. appetite is nothing, really really had to push to get dinner down tonight. i had cauliflower (i know) and a small small piece of steak...protein shake for lunch. thats it. will need to try a piece of fruit before bed. i bought some new clothes as motivation (yay)...some workout clothes for p3 as i do want to get back to my running. i took a hiatus from it while on vacation and although i was walking quite a bit, i can feel the absence of it. think i will do some pilates tomorrow night but work has been pretty intense so i will see. I'm feeling a cold coming on and many many many people are sick at work, strep throat going around so...sauna for me tonight and an early night. have a great night everyone and i will see you all in the am. |

Hey Layla...cauliflower was on my Dr's plan and I ate it four or five times a week for most of my P2. It's not a no-no in my book. Not by a long shot. David's been having it as well, no problems for either of us.

Thank you for all of the welcomes!!
Cheryl~ you are one of the few familiar faces that was around last spring! Glad to see you still here! Nosugar ~ tea is my go-to drink when I am thinking of no-no food! Privatediva ~ good to know about the cauliflower... I have a new head in my fridge that my family surely will not eat, and was really wanting to try roasting it like I read about on LCF. I am a little rouge so and suppose it won't hurt to try.. ![]() On a side note... I lost weight pretty well on my last round going slightly rouge (cucumbers mixed with lettuce...living so dangerously !) and not weighing veggies. Well, today I decided to weigh them... OMgoodness! I was wayyyy over. How does everyone do that????? I used my veggies as a filler and would be starving if I only ate the amount we are supposed to. No more weighing veggies for me... I would rather have a few extra calories from mixed greens than falling off the wagon because I was hungry. Kudos to those that can stick 100% to plan. ![]() |

Cheryl!! You made me laugh!! Im hoping to get to the promise land of no cravings
Layla - I just got back from a beautiful run - it is warm in Connecticut so running ing February is a gift that we dont usually get! I definately noticed a lack of sugar energy but the fresh air felt great! I enjoyed reading your post about the lack of appetite - that is great! Amber - keep up the great work! I know what you mean about the vegetables! I am the portion distortion queen so when I measured one cup of lettuce I was amazed at what a small amount that is!! One thing I am really missing - I know you will all say I am a freak - is green juice! I make a big jug every morning and I feel great drinking it! I may try to include some and see if it slows me down or not. Have a great day ladies!!!!!! |

good morning everyone.
deb; i eat the cauliflower exactly because it was on your doctors plan and you have done wonderful...i am down another .5 today so thats ok with me. nosugar; what do you put in your green juice? I used to use spinach and then just do a smoothie in the morning. I don't have a juicer but once I was accustomed to the taste of spinach/fruit/protein *shakes*, I really did enjoy them and it seemed to really give me an energy boost. When I'm not on plan, I am a terrible morning eater, smoothies or healthy juice would be one of the few things I could do. I am curious for your recipe. Have a great day all! |

Oh Gosh! Did not update you on my weight! I am surprised to say that I am 130.5. - That is 7.5 pounds in 4 days - 2 of which were loading! This is too good to be true so I will just stop thinking about it!
Im seeing my husband in 10 days for the first time since New Years Day. (He had been away for work) We will be in Florida so the next 10 pounds are the ones i am focusing on. I think i can, I think i can, I think i can!! Layla my green juice is - 1 head romaine, I head celery, 1 bunch dandelion, one cucumber, juice of one lemon. Dare I try this on protocol??? |

Cheryl, DH is strictly on our Doc's plan. Rogue for the Simeonites, but following Dr's plan to the letter.
Poofsgirl, our Dr's plan says mixing vegetables is good for you |

Helloo Ladies! Welcome newcomers. I'm at work so quick post. My Rx pellets arrived yesterday and I took first one this morning. I love the once a day and then forget it. I am not hungry and I "loaded" plenty over the weekend, so I am going VLCD today!! All I got out of the house with was an apple, but I will get some chicken and veg for lunch/ I have Walden's dressing so might get a salad.
Despite my good intentions I gained back the 4 pounds I lost so I am back to 168. I'm gonna laugh as I watch it fall off in the next couple days, though. I am doing my doctors plan - how allows cauliflower and brocolli! All be well. check in with you later.

I hope it is a false alarm. But maybe since so many others are passing around the germs, it's inevitable. I'm sorry, Layla. I personally feel that you can run if your body is used to running, even on P2. "He" said that not to start exercising, but it was okay to continue what you were doing prior to P2.Yea on the new clothes! And no appetite! Quote:
I usually don't bother eating veggies on P2, unless I am making a rare soup and throw in some onions or something like that. I prefer fat with my veggies. Quote:
I had no idea we were "neighbors." Nice to know ya! I'm in Litchfield county, but just on the outskirts. The weather surely has been a big improvement over last winter! (Aside from the October storm.) That Green Juice sounds simply..... yummy. I'll bet it's good for you, though. How much water do you use with all those heads of this and that? I'm thinking the juice of one whole lemon might be the trickiest part, from an HCG perspective. Quote:
I hope you have a wonderful reunion with DH. Enjoy your trip to FL! I have a second-cousin who keeps bugging me to go down there (West Palm Beach) but I never seem to have the money. Plus I have too many pets. I'd be driving if I go and even when I was in top driving condition, I could only last for 8 hours at a time. So that would be a few nights in a hotel. And my car is a lot older now. Anyway, I digress.Where do you find Dandelion? ![]() Quote:
![]() Quote:
I hope everyone has a great day today! I'm off to the farm for 4pm. Always end up there almost 30 minutes early, no matter how hard I try not to do that. It's windy so cheeks will be freezing again. I have to figure out a way to protect my face on cold windy days. |

We are really grateful to said Doc. It's not a diet clinic, it's just our GP.
There should be NO PROBLEM with that green juice, nosugar. Simeon allowed lemon juice. The other veggies are protocol and mixing is not really a problem. Obviously, you can drink a lot more calories in veggies than you can probably eat...so you'd want to figure the calories in the whole batch and make sure you're not going way over the amount you should have for veggie servings for the day. |

I guess the pellet I get is like getting a shot once a day. My horse was out this a.m. and had to chase it so I reached my target heart rate at 6:07 a.m. LOL. |

Broccoli...i like the cheese sauce
veggies i can get include broccoli so i could try it if anyone has suggestions/recipes...i know cheese is not an option! cheryl you make a good point about the running. my energy level is good and i think my sauna helped ward off any bugs for today anyways. i will perhaps try for tomorrow morning. that green juice sounds interesting...i had to mix something sweet in with my spinach/protein powder myself, usually strawberries or blueberries. it actually was quite good. i really like the idea of a veggie juice for the am's when I'm on p3 just because food doesn't do it for me but a nutrient packed juice is a good idea, bet it does wonders for the body. moderate day here, we are in a warm snap and its only about minus 20 degrees C. I was out in a hoodie most of the day, but keep in mind my perspective is all off. its seriously a 20 degree change from where we were as it was -40, -45 and windy windy windy. heat wave till tomorrow red hots, hope everyone has a great night! |

Layla, you probably don't have this stuff up there in your little store that keeps getting cleaned out, but you could make a kind of "cheese sauce" using the popcorn powdered cheese and some zero cal. butter spray. It will be salty as heck, but it might taste good! Then you can just steam the broccoli in a ziplock bag that has a couple of holes poked into it and nuke in micro.
You like? I am glad you're feeling better! Enjoy that heat wave. ![]() |

I love the popcorn cheese stuff: Kernal Seasoning is the brand I got.
Cheryl, we have 2 quarter horses, 8 year old mare and 27 year old gelding. A bucket of feed will catch them every time I broke down and hired a guy to fix my fence. Went to home depot and got boards last night. My hired man loaded those 4 x 8's like they were matchsticks. I think I'm being sane not trying to do all that stuff by myself anymore. He can do in one day what would take me weeks. Last edited by Sasseaux; 02-08-2012 at 04:56 AM.. |

Morning!!Hope everyone is off to a good start! I had an amazing 4 mile run this morning - a little colder here which makes running easier!
Cheryl! So cool we are almost neighbors!! Litchfield county is beyond gorgeous - you must love it!! You get more snow than the rest of us but it is so beautiful! Private Diva - thanks for the input about the green juice - i just cant live without it! You are correct to think about calories - I am sure they are much higher that I would get from vegetables. Leyla - I used to need it sweetened - anything to mask the tast - but over time I have come to love it and now i like it nice and sour - lots of lemon! I am already being a noncompliant hcg'er! Yesterday my 16 year old had a crisis - for a 16 year old! So my day was spent picking up the pieces and trying to get her back on track. I had my first meal at 5 and it was some shrim and a cucumber. The next meal was about 8 - some protein powder sprinkled on strawberries. Only lost 1/2 pound today - totally my fault for not following protocol! After my run this morning - confession time - I made 32 ounces of green juice - I know I should not drink it but....I thought I would see what happens I will only drink 16 ounces today to see if I can "get away" with that - I will keep you posted! Why cant i just follow the rules? 2/4/12 138 2/5/12 137 2/6/12 134 2/7/12 130.5 2/8/12 130 |

nosugar, my gut feeling is that if the green juice makes you THAT happy (and it seems it does!) AND, *if* you are willing to put up with slower losses, you can do it that way...those vegetables are not going to "hurt" you, but the additional calories and carbs WILL slow you down. That's your trade-off.
OR You could allow yourself the 'juice' on alternating days. Or once a week. Or go with 12 ounces for a couple of days, then 8, rather than 16. Don't back off on the water when you're drinking other things. Also...if you're going to exercise, have the juice first, then do your run (or whatever you're doing). There are some carbs in the veg that might help your performance, and it will also give you a way to burn them up quickly so they don't sit around and keep you from burning fat. |

Thanks DIva! Great advice! I will play with the juice and see what happens - Im just brain washed and the Hcg is very helpful in resetting my thoughts!
Hi Neighbor! I live out by UCONN Storrs - aka middle of no where!! Fortunately I work in Hartford so I see real people - not just farm animals! I havemlived in Connecticut for 46 years. Its beautiful but as you know has its drawbacks! I would not give up the fall season in Connecticut though! - Well - maybe this past fall! Between hurricanes and snow storms Im grateful I can flush my toilet again!! |

Amen! I wasn't affected by the hurricane but the snow storm had me 3 full days without power, water and heat. I was prepared for that with the hurricane and UNprepared for the snow storm. I am thankful that we were only without utilities for 3 days, considering how long so many thousands of others had to wait.
I agree about Spring and Fall. Spring is #1, then Fall, then Summer then Winter. (In my rating system, that is.) ![]() |
