I'm so tired. I think it's the combination of crazy range of intense emotion over the weekend and a really long day yesterday. I was up at 5:30 to get ready for church (I had to teach Sunday School and play for the Communion Service and I just didn't get my homework done on Saturday) Then I came home and taught until nine oclock. Hoping I can catch up a bit tonight. What I need is a little break. Not getting that, so I have to figure out how to get some refreshment within the context of my dumb schedule.
Y'all keep getting it. You're doing well.

aww, deb...please take care and i hope you get some relaxation and down time SOON!
![]() looks good, terri! well, i'm pretty convinced veggies/salads hate me. ella picked subway to eat instead of mcd's. now you would THINK that a salad would be a better choice than nuggets. well, after several trips to the bathroom after eating my salad last night, i was only down 0.2 today and i *think* i was lower in cals than i was the day before. hard to know as i don't know how much cheese and dressing she put on it. but i didn't eat my all of my high fat yogurt b/c of not knowing how much of the other she put on my salad, so i'm pretty sure i was below 800 cals. and still only down 0.2. huumph.... so will be interesting to see what tomorrow's weight is with no veggies, my 800 cals, and most all protein and fat (i do just a wee bit of grains as granola on my yogurt). today's menu (as of now...could change, ya know. )3/4 c egg beaters w/ .5 T butter, xylitol/cinnamon, smidge sf syrup 4oz burger 93/7 ground beef, 1oz cream cheese 5oz high fat yogurt w/ .5 serving of granola cals: 824 fat: 57.9g - 67.44% protein: 47.1g - 24.3% carbs: 15.8g (net 14.8g) - 8.27% Last edited by dazygyrl; 02-21-2012 at 04:41 AM.. |

Good Morning,
Well I'm up .80, could have been much worse. I almost didn't weigh in, but I wanted to see the real results of my new direction. I plan to "dust" the fish and pan fry it with a light spray of olive oil. I think I'll use an alternative flour, probably coconut or flax and more seasoning then flour at any rate. Like you say, down is down. I'll bet the pause combined with the lack of veggies will make a much bigger dent for you tomorrow. Hope Noah is improved today. Thanks for the support yesterday. Have a great day! ![]() |

yes, it will interesting to see what the new plan and lack of hormones
, dumb things, does for you. i didn't mention, TOM started sat night before i started on sunday...i don't know if it has affected anything or not.noah's still on the droopy side. he didn't make the bus, so i will just take him to school. amazing the difference adding back his one drug has made. i did get him to eat a bit of yogurt for some energy. his appetite is pretty sparatic. |

His stamina is impressive Carrie...even that "perking up" for school. A lot of kids would not bear up this long with feeling even a little under par. He has sure jumped over some hurdles this year. I think about him a lot when I'm thinking about Paul's instructions to run a patient race and endure until the finish line. Spiritually, it's so easy to "sprint" when things are great and then sit immobilized on my spiritual derriere when something is wrong. I think Noah's one step at a time, leaning forward against the wind approach to this test he's enduring is going to make him such a formidable man. Meanwhile, his example is humbling an old bag to the south of him

I've been thinking about you being more hungry this round. Have you considered adjusting your dose? One think I read in the begining that rings true in many ways. Our bodies have changed with every round. It's not reasonable to think that what worked good before might not need some tweaking in future rounds. |

good point, Terri...especially since a *lot* of people find that adjusting their dose DOWN helps them in subsequent rounds. That makes a ton of sense since we are smaller with each round. Weight is a determining factor when figuring dosages of most medicines. Don't know why hcg would be any different.

cristen, are you using homeopathic? if so, i started with an old bottle. it wasn't expired, but it was from awhile ago. i just didn't feel they were working on sunday. so sunday night, i cracked open a new bottle of pellets and my hunger is under much more control. only appropriate hunger before a meal. it's quite nice!

Doing 100% better with hunger and blood sugar level today. Funny I don’t have health issues and have never really had problems with blood sugar spikes before. I think it has to do with being thinner and possibly just being so used to more of a low carb lifestyle.
Hope everyone else is having a good day! |

![]() I feel like it's getting straighter but still a little tippy I've been spending a little more time on the EFGT threads and I realize when I've been the most successful that’s how I've been eating. It's kind of funny to see it spelled out and confirmed. I'm going to keep heading that direction for now. I'm glad you suggested trying this instead of just jumping back on FF. When I was on FF, even when it was going great, I wasn't sure where to go from there. I'm hoping this works, because it feels livable. Of course this is me after 1/2 day. ![]() |

! Mind you I'll be ready to have my coconut oil, coconut manna, and plenty of meat once I get into phase 3. ![]() I've changed how I'm making my smoothies and I have 2 a day divided between 4 "meals" AND I've added in 2 servings of rhy & oat Wasa toast (total of 40 calories for the day). So here is what my day looks like: 2 Tbsp cream in coffee Green Smoothies (2) 1 cup of strawberries 5 ounces fresh spinach 1 cup skim kefir 1/2 serving protein powder stevia & cinnamon I'm using BOTH the kefir and protein powder b/c if I have just the skim kefir I'm only getting about 16 grams of protein in a day and I think that is WAY under what Dr. S allows for the regular protocol. If I'm correct I think it is almost 40 gr of protein we eat if we eat 2 meat servings. So using the skim kefir & 1/2 serving of protein powder gives me 19 grams of protein per shake. I've been struggling with hunger so both yesterday AND today I did also have an apple. Total Calories: 737 I'm hoping that as my body re-adjust to the lower calorie to cut out the Cream in my coffee and the apple so I'll be right at 500 calories a day to finish out. But as long as I'm losing well doing this I'll stick with it. I'll cut those things out when I hit a stall and see if it helps the scale to move downward again. I really had to work through giving myself permission to stop even if I don't reach my ultimate goal. I think my struggle with this began when I hit a normal BMI.. it was like I mentally was arguing with myself that I was "normal" and didn't NEED to diet anymore. PLUS, I had to get over feeling like a quitter b/c I was going to end before reaching my ultimate goal. Now that I've worked through these emotions I seem to have my head back in the game and have had a completely different attitude! ![]() |

Woo Hoo David WTG Job Well Done ![]() I hear what you’re saying Shirley, after FF I just lost it. I couldn’t get my head into protocol, didn’t want to stop and move on to P3 yet and just felt like a woman without a plan. So I planned badly and ate badly and felt even worse. I really tried to jump back on to P2 after my first big slip and 2lb gain, but had a serious sugar spike that sent me right back into another big slip and another pound. Today I’m doing P2ish plus some fat, trying to keep it between 700 & 800 with my fat at 56%. I feel so much better I can’t tell you. I’m going to keep going this direction, maybe lowering my carbs and raising my fats a bit and see how it goes. But, I feel like I’m back in the saddle as well. Excited to see what the scale says tomorrow, though it will probably be a couple days of losing what I gained in the last couple days as well. ![]() |
