Sounds great! I agree, by the way, about keeping some healthy carbs in there to prevent sensitivity. I'll give that some serious thought when I move onto NK.

So far today (don't have dinner nailed down yet):

Havarti Pesto Omelet, 1/2 x 1/2 in coffee
Cream cheese ham & Gr Salsa concoction for lunch

I'm at 569 calories and 79% fat

1200-1500, I can usually go as high as 1700 if I keep my fat up and still lose. I usually aim for lower and then end up adding fat at the end of the day to up the percentage and that, of course brings up the calories.

Oh what a difference a day and a little bit of fat makes! I feel great, totally not hungry or craving and even had to remind myself to take my lunch when I left.

good morning, bud.

so i'm up a pound this morning, but TOM is looming. not gonna sweat it. feel bloaty and crampy. what can you do about that, right? plus i don't think my menu helped, while within bounds of my macros and even tho it seemed i peed plenty yesterday, it was a pretty salty day. will keep that down today as well.

today's menu:

6oz grass-fed 75% burger with 2T may and a little sf ketchup
2oz coconut butter

5oz rotisserie chicken fried in 2T butter topped with guys bbq (this is THE BEST sf bbq btw, get it thru netrition, cheap too...just ordered 4 more bottles )
2T PB

1797 cals
158 g fat (79.1%)
68 g protein (15%)
11 net g carbs (2.4%)

how's your day looking?

Sorry for the bump Even though you know why and you're okay with it, it just doesn't start the day out as rosy as it could be.

I was up .30 after first day of FF. That actually happened to me another time and by day two all was good. I'm also finishing HH week, so that should help move things down too. But I have to say I felt so much better yesterday and although the scale didn't cop to it, I feel like I've lost. My muffin top seems smaller, etc.

Hope you have a great day!

Actually I thought you did mean it for us and I really enjoyed it. As I'm just getting ready to start the slow burn exercise program, and I had a little bump this morning, it's just what I needed hear. Thanks for posting.

Morning Bud,
How you doing today?

I was a little worried. I ended up with 1906 calories and only 78%, so it was more NK then FF. Down 1.9

I stopped pellets yesterday, no longer in the frame of mind to over limit calories. I am going to continue with NK as planned. I think my calorie limit should be 1900 with a limit of about 60grms of protein. I might see if reddarin will look at my numbers for me.

i saw you post in the other thread. so happy!

congrats on your loss!! that's awesome!

i was down .6 this morning. still .4 above my low. but moving down.(still waiting for tom too). today i am going to push my cal level up closer to the top of my cal limit for my goal weight (goal wt kg*.35) i had been sticking to the lower end (goal wt kg*.30).

they say not to subtract fiber with NK, but i don't know if i will do that. waiting for an explanation. just don't have time to read all the first posts reddarin put in the beginning of the new thread right now, but will try to this evening.

Hey Buddy Girl!!
I really like the thread, thanks for turning me onto it. It is however very hard to keep up with, it goes so fast. I feel pretty good about the 1600-1900 calorie range. Already (you know) I'm thinking about alternating. I get the fat percentage and the protein limit, but the carb count still evades me. I'm hoping by concentrating on the first two the other will just follow in line.

Congrads on your loss! I think that's a very good trend, especially considering your hormonal timing. I'm also waiting to hear the carb-fiber explanation. I don't get that. I'm going to cut and paste the beginning stuff and print it to read too.

Wishing you a blessed Sunday!

morning, madam!

so was down .2 this morning. pushed calories up yesterday.

i'm lame...reposting from the hf thread ....i noticed you (reddarin) leaned toward phinney's numbers when you were figuring other people's numbers. using that for my goal range of 130-135, my protein is 88-92g. much higher than i had been trying to attain my first few days. and, not eating enough protein can cause little weight loss as much as too few cals, right? (he said not necessarily, so that is good) also, i have discovered i am more on the large frame size as my wrist is 6.5"

soooo all my new numbers are (and i found that the low end of my weight range should be 136 and that i am actually right now IN my recommended range for my height/frame 136-151 at 148.8 this morning. (but i don't like how the mirror looks here.)

i'm going to stick with 135 for numbers of 88-92g (lower end here i think) and 2147 cals :gasp: 2147?? and that is for 136 (35 cal/kg)!!

he explained the carb/fiber thing, but i don't really understand what he meant. so as long as i can eat the carby things i like (coconut products, strawberries, nuts) and stay 50 g total or less, i'll be happy.

today's numbers:

cals: 2143
protein: 82 g
fat: 184 g
carbs: 32 g total (strawberries, coconut water, pecans , almond muffins)

Morning Bud!

Well I took a break over the weekend. Kept it LCHF but didn't journal or weigh in. I know I was heavy on the protein so I was very happy to see I was only up .10 from the weekend. Today it's nose to the grind stone. I'm going to use FF as my template, so as I adjust to raise the fat percentage I don't go off the charts.

You're doing great! Nice consistent downward trend. It's nice being classified as normal weight for a change, takes some pressure off and makes the ride a little more enjoyable, huh?

I'm going to try and get caught up on the tread today. But I feel like I'm feelin' it, looks like you are too

good morning!

way to go on the weekend! your plan sounds good!

yeah, i may be classified as normal, but that doesn't mean i have to like it here, right? i was down another .2 this morning. it's not pounds a day, BUT it is cool to go down eating so many cals!

i am really feeling it. tracking isn't bothering me a it, so that is good.

hope you have a great day!

i just had an idea....

what would think of moving our little thread into the journal section to move away from the 'pull' of running back to hcg.

think about it...just popped in my head.

I'm good with that. I had actually thought about it some too since we've only been about 20% HCG. And you're right, not that I'm saying never, but I really would prefer to beat a patch away. You want to start this one?

And I hear what you're saying about "normal". I prefer to be on the bottom end rather than the top end I just feel a little less stressed and comfortable in my own skin to use the word. Funny how just a little word can make a difference.

You know more about the journal forums then I do, where do you think we fit best? I would have gone with plain vanilla weight loss journals, but do you think there is a better or more interesting spot? It might be premature to be on NK but I'm certainly not against it and we may learn more about our current WOE. Old name sort of still applies but a new fresh one would be nice. I don't have any bright ideas at the moment.

I feel thinner too. Starting to consider some of my previously banned clothing that weren't as good at disguising as others.

Can you give us a sample day and is this the high fat forum? Does this work better than low carb?

I find much better results using a higher fat WOE with low carb. Here are a couple good threads to check out.
Meat and egg fast anyone?
