aw man....so sorry you aren't feeling well. and yes, nice to not have the scale to deal with when you already don't feel good. feel better, friend.

day is good. i think i caught kendall's chest yuck. i never get it in the chest. THANKFULLY i feel fine, just a cough. eats are ok....we won't talk about the attack of the munchies yesterday... not sure what that was about... don't feel like there were many ill effects...don't feel bloated or poofy or anything. got my head about me today, thankfully.

How interesting, thanks for telling me about that! I'll be watching that like a hawk. I haven't read her blog yet, I'll do that tonight. Are you starting that now?

About the Tilapia. What great convenient low cal protein. I've only had it once, cooked it frozen with no imagination and it was fine. I'm looking forward to trying it again with a little pizazz. DH even picked me up a Tilapia season mix I'm going to try. The single servings are excellent.

I haven't weighed in and feel so good about that. I'm really going to keep this habit going. It's weird and a little anti climatic during the week, but so much less stress.

How are you doing?

yeah, i am starting it now. i haven't been tracking cals for the last few days, just eating what i know is low(er) cal, easy on the fat. mirror seems favorable. if this new tactic doesn't cause problems, i may continue with the patch beyond sat which is when i was going to put my last patch on.

yeah, what i was thinking with the FF.

i am doing good. still have this cough. feels like mild bronchitis, but not antibiotic worthy (yet). just glad i don't feel horrible....worst i get is extra tired int he evening, but during the day i feel fine.

how about you...you feeling better?

noah has his port removal surgery on friday! 10am.

Wow, I'm kind of surprised Noah still has his port. That will bring a little more closure to the process. How's Kyle's nose?

Did you ever try the Vitamin D? Man I'm a real believer. DH or I haven't been sick (although there were opportunities) since I added that. Hope you kick that cough soon.

I feel better then Monday that's for sure. I've been added flax oil in my smoothies, don't know if that has helped, it's supposed to.

glad you are feeling better!

no i didn't add vit d...kind of forgot. i don't take supps on a regular basis...i have good intentions, but have never done it long enough to make it habit. thankfully, i too rarely get sick.

originally he was to have his port for 3-4 mos after his last treatment, but dr said he could get it out before school starts.

kyle's nose is fine. i hope anyway. :/ he went to a trampoline place with a friend for his friend's birthday last weekend. they had a basketball hoop there...he got hit in the face with the ball. it *looks* ok but don't really know for sure what that did to it. he has a checkup on oct 9.

Morning Bud,
Well I’m in a state of perplex. Thinking about the LC/HCG plan. Glanced at the box of donuts at work I had been ignoring all day and figured I’d have a bite. 1 ˝ Donuts later, What the H**L?! Okay HH is all I’m going to say. So I weighed in a day early today, still deciding. I’m down 1 ˝ pounds from Monday, 1/2 pound from last Friday. Not any great news, but considering the donut debacle? Where would I have been had I been doing LC? Probably not even considering a bite of a donut, but that’s another story. I have lunch out with the girls today and then the weekend with DH doing LC. I’m thinking of a four day LC/HCG experiment. I checked out the blog last night and her menu does not look LC. The one I looked at was 76 carbs for the day. So more perplexed than ever.

How are you doing? Are you feeling good about it?

dang donuts....i *love* donuts... on maintenance, with no-s, i will allow a donut every sunday morning at church. but i digress....

yeah, the one menu i looked at left me

yesterday with the exception of my granola on my yogurt, i was very LC and pretty high fat.

but then i got to thinking about the whole risk of regaining once going to maintenance. while i will always choose to me LC a part of my lifestyle, i don't want to be in fear of carbs and want to be able to enjoy good bread at a nice restaurant once in awhile or share a good dessert with hubby without fear of large weight gain. so am rethinking the whole strict LC...i don't want to make myself anymore carb sensitive than already am. so i think i will continue with what i was doing...lower fat with a little carb. change my last patch on sat and then after 3 days move to p3/no-s

i hope you have a great lunch with the girls and weekend with hubby!

i won't be weighing tomorrow morning. have to get up at 5 and don't want to weigh that early....will weigh saturday morning.

Yeah I just read the other thread hoping for more encouragement towards less carb sensitivity, but alas if it sounds too good to be true....

Have a great day!!

What was that you said about eating out Mexican the day before weigh in?

So, I've lost focus. I can either quit, go low carb and think about it later or switch gears. Switching it into sideways. Going forward with the HCG/low carb experiment for the weekend. Will reaccess after that point.

How are you doing?

Ugh...I have lost focus too. So am feelin' ya there. I think I may just take my patch off off tomorrow instead of change it. Couple days lower cal then no-s.

(The important question is, tho...was it *good* Mexican??? )

Sitting in pre-op with. Noah. Sounds like he'll be repays b/c the surgeon in front of him is behind...fabulous. oh, well...

good morning!! hope you are having a fabulous weekend, buddy!

i am back to no-s. right now it's all that makes sense to me. i feel good. clothes fitting so much better. mirror looks more favorable. will continue to work on the 10-12 lbs i wanted to get rid of, but happy to not feel the desperation i had a few weeks ago.

So happy you feel great, that's what it all about!

I'm down .80 after my first HCG/LC day, cautiously optimistic as I am usually down after I stop dosing due to the change to low carb. This I believe is due in part to the fact that Bernice enjoys a higher fat diet

We shall see what the weekend holds.

How did Noah make out yesterday?

woohoo!! i hope the lc/hcg combo continues great for you!

noah did great. was a bit slow moving right after surgery, but that's to be expected after surgery and anesthesia. felt good enough to go shopping for school shoes. and by the time we got home (a good hour plus drive home so he slept hard all the way home) he was out riding his bike!!

Good Morning Bud!

How was Kyle's birthday party? Welcome to the teenage years I really enjoyed my son's, still vulnerable and loving, but quickly becoming a man before your eyes.

Well I'm up for the second day in a row so I spit out my pellets and moving to P3/No S. Not sure if I'm going to keep it Low Carb, Low Carbish or just straight No S without the really bad choices. One thing for sure, I'm going to work on getting into the exercise routine.

How are you doing?

morning!

party was fun. treated it as the S day that it was. looking forward to the week of N days to refine ma skillz. i haven't weighed. was up too early to weigh on friday and we had eaten a huhot for lunch friday and that's usually a guaranteed gain so didn't weigh sat morning....then who weighs after and S day ....soooo, i s'pose i shall just wait till friday to weigh.

welcome back to um...not doing pellets?

i told cheryl in the no-s thread that i am strongly considering rejoining our teensy little gym just down the block from my shop. it's silly to not do that. it's in the basement of the town hall so extravagant it is not, but it has treadmills and weights....don't need much more than that. it's open 24/7. just has a lock-pad door and you come and go as you please. $20/mo, so like i said, silly to NOT rejoin.

hope you have a GREAT monday!

The numbers are mixed today on weight loss trading:
Since last Friday up 1.2
Since LDW up 1.3
Since starting No S - Dead even

Since I was expecting an exercise bump (I am stiff & sore today) I'm calling it a victory.

I had a surprise lunch with Dad yesterday. Choose Carnitas & side salad but I did eat the flour tortilla. I also had breaded shrimp for dinner. The first grain related carbs I've had in a good while. They did seem to give me an energy boost but not enough to crash. How was your lunch?

well, you're doing better then me...i say win for you!! awesome! i think (hope) exercise is causing fluid retention. plus midcycle.

i think i'm going to move my S-days to friday @ 5pm to sunday @ 2-3pm. i'd rather have more freedom on friday evening than sunday evenings.

I was thinking the same thing. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. They say not to modify for a month (unless it makes it too hard to follow) and I'm wondering if that really makes it technically three S days. I haven't made a final decision yet. Are you starting that today? With DH coming home tonight I might. I have steak and shrimp planned for dinner, add a couple glasses of wine if I want them and I'm still green lightin'. So not sure. I’ve been thinking about Cheryl’s “no suds on N days rule” and may adapt that as wine can sometimes be a staller for me. If I do, that would really make the case for Friday 5 to Sunday 5. I’d like to say just Friday and Saturday but there’s that church donut thing and we usually go out to lunch after church. Got to think on this one.

yeah...i'll start that today. i don't think of it as 3 days...i think of it as 48hrs. that's what sat-sun is is 48hrs...i'm just shifting those hours a bit. right?

there are far more social things on friday night as opposed to sunday night...that's why i'm wanting to shift those times a bit.

have fun with hubby!

Oh I agree on the time (48 hours) and the Friday night vs Sunday night, that's why I've been considering it too. I just want to make sure I don't outsmart myself like I sometimes do with my roguish behavior
