I, too, am NOT fish person, but tilapia is not fishy tasting at all. I just fry it with nonstick spray and season it. I use light miracle whip on mine.

I wouldn't say No S didn’t work out. I've had a lot of non weekend S days since I started and really have gone overboard with my legal choices on N days so the responsibility is totally mine. I really think without it I would have been way up. It was a great break and a WOE that I think is worthy of returning to for maintenance. I'm just ready to attack those last 10-12 lbs and trying to get around do HCG, although I am considering it.

Big prayers for Wednesday's results. I was wondering when that was going to happen.

I thought a lot about what I said about No S this morning and even though I’ve known it all along, I really haven’t given No S a fair chance. Although I have technically followed the rules, I have deliberately pushed every rule to the max and made what I knew were really bad choices. I think partly because I didn’t think it would last (get while the gettin' is good) and partly because I was without kitchen so it was easier. I didn’t however need to make the worst possible choices from what was available, just because I could.

So here is the plan for next week. Should I mention I’m being rogue or just save that issue for when I’m not? One big consideration is I have a going away party Saturday for our favorite neighbors that just sold their house and are moving to Vegas. It’s are a bar and grill type place so not much chance of low carb options there and I don’t want to be a spectacle. For mainly that reason I was going to start low carbing Monday (tomorrow) but not worry about counting carbs and then start officially next Sunday when DH heads out of town, with Induction. You know how one off day can really sabotage low carb. So then I started thinking about No S and what I said and how much I liked it and I thought since I’m just heading towards low carb and planning more or less an “S Day” on Saturday, why not try No S, low carb style. I don’t plan to count or track, just make lower carb choices and keep with the No S rules. What I do next week is yet to be determined.

So how’s your Sunday?

yeah...it's so hard not to constantly try and push the limits. i am getting closer to accepting that mostly low carb is best. what i am contemplating for maintenance is combining all the things i have tried. but tweaked (of course) to fit me better. so thinking of juddd (but not the drastic DD cals), no-s, IF (only eating in an 6-8 hr window, am thinking 11a-7p or 1p-7p ), and LC. but with the LC carb part, i will allow one meal a day with some carbs.

i think your plan this week sounds good and hope you feel great! will you keep weighing weekly? is that still working for you ok?

my sunday was good...church, home int he afternoon, had some friends over in the evening...a good day!

working today instead of my usual monday off. i was not in my shop thurs or friday last week and will be out wednesday this week with noah's appointments. and have some orders that need to get in the mail. my sister is back in town on her way back to MN so she is coming out this evening.

Love the new Avi, great to see you again!

Yes I will keep with the weekly weigh in. That's working real well to keep to obsession at bay.

So what are your menus looking like this round?

Sounds like you have a busy week in front of you.

Man that looks totally livable. Can't wait to see what the scale shows you Friday!

I have to admit, I'm considering.

Good Morning Bud,

Big prayers headed your way for great news today. Careful on the road!

I'm already feeling remarkably better doing No S - low carb. I'm still eating LC Fruit, yogurt, veggies, etc. so I'm not being real low carb, but just cutting out the obvious. I'm very interested in what the scale thinks Friday.

How are you doing?

morning. just waiting for noah's tests to get rolling. he has to drink contrast so are waiting to get that.

so happy to hear you are feeling good! i think that's how i'll maintain...70-80% lc.

so looks like i'll have plenty of time to get my 14lbs off. finally found out about cruise dates altho only b/c i emailed and asked...not sure when we would have heard that aug 3-10 was full but oh well ... so as it stands we will go aug 31-sept7.

still feeling really good with the patch and my current food choices. wondering about friday's weight...not feeling like it'll be as much. but now that i have more time the pressure isn't so bad. going to make tomorrow a protein, no fruit, no grain day with lots of fluids.

God is indeed Good! That is wonderful news I've been praying for you all day, though I imagine it was hard to distiguish my voice from all the others lifting you up

So what's the first thing you did to celebrate?

well, we will formally celebrate, but yesterday after we left the dr we had to rush to sam's and walmart then run noah home (an hour away) kick him out of the car and turn around and go BACK to where we had just come from (an hour away) to go to kyle's parents night at camp. that was fun! he is having fun...far as we could tell.

after his deal we went to buffalo wild wings. kendall was with us and he was hungry. i went with a wrap...i just couldn't do a salad. they are too much for my gut. i had a LC wrap for lunch with a bunch of veggies...then that one in the evening. my gut revolted when i got home from just those veggies of the day. didn't throw up or anything...just well...you know how bernice can get... keeping it uber clean today so i have a good weigh in tomorrow.

how is LC / no-s going for you, bud?

Bet you couldn't wipe the smiles off all the faces!

LC - No S seems to be going real well. I snuck on the scale Tuesday and my weight was at Friday's level so I have big hopes that this Friday will be my first No S down day, even though its HH week.

Even though I had been used to eating only the three meals for three weeks prior, when I moved to LC it was a challenge. On LC I'm more accustomed to grazing at will. Really brought home why it's been hard to lose on LC. And of course on P3 we were always encouraged to "push" the calories. I'm not counting, eating low glycemic fruit daily and I feel great!

Morning Bud!
Well it's HH week and still down 1.2 in 5 days with No S - Low Carb. Funny, I actually felt naughty for weighing in early.

How'd you do?

good morning!

i was down a WHOPPING..... 0.4 lbs ......

but the mirror is being kinder than the scale, so i'm not too bummed. i do feel slimmer. i still feel good mentally and motivated to continue...if it has to be slower losses, i guess so be it. i feel like i am eating so as not to get so depleted and will hopefully not run into the stabilization probs others have.

AND LOOK AT YOU all down on the scale during HH week!!! that's fabulous! are you having any non-veggie/fruit carbs at all? so happy for you!

aaaand....CRUISE IS BOOKED!! just got an email from the gal a few minutes ago. we fly to seattle aug 30 and jump on the boat aug 31...get home sept 7! whoop, whoop!

Good Morning,
Mirror mirror on the wall the weight you see is the most important of all.

What have we always said? Down is down. And you're down in the most important way. The rest is probably water or Aunt B stow away

I've had yogurt but no grains or starchy stuff other than a bite here or there. When you don't do snacks it naturally eliminates a lot of other stuff.

Awesome on the cruise. That gives you plenty of time. Although by the looks of your Annie Oakley picture, you haven't much to worry about.

Hey Bud!
How was your weekend? Mine was good.

I actually used my S day as more of a healthy carb day. I had a piece of peanut butter toast on whole grain bread, nuts and one Taco Bell taco, plus two cocktails when we went out with friends. Today I'm planning on making chocolate cherry yogurt with my treasured SF Whip cream on top. Other than that pretty much by the book.

Cheryl and I have been talking about No S today and she asked me to start a new forum on "Other Plans" so I did. I know you're not doing it now, and may or may not do it in P3. But you started me on this adventure and I'd love your input. Not to mention your company

Hope you have a great evening!!

weekend was really good....got to spend lots of time with great friends fri-sat-sun...but, my round seems to have gotten interrupted. i have just lived this weekend, but feel like the damage wasn't/hasn't been catastrophic. i was supposed to changed my patch today, but i just took it off and will leave it off....supposed to have company tonight...lunch with a friend tomorrow...in the city all day with kyle and his surgery on wed...evening plans with a friend on thurs...then fri-sun hubby and i are running away. my sister is giving a 2 nights away without kiddos. sooo, as you can see sticking to protocol is was difficult this weekend and the coming week. i feel ok about it and will simply do my best to have balance and see how all my combined woe's will mesh together.

noah is at his camp and having a great time i'm sure. my sister will have to pick him up wed as he needs picked up by 10 am and kyle's surgery is at 8:30 am.

sounds like your weekend was a great mix if living with control!! i was looking for a no-s thread in other plans when i first read about it...so yay!! i will totally join you!

WOW! What a fabulous weekend and week to come. You sure can't complain about living getting in the way. You're in such a good place now you'll do great. Maybe No S meal only concepts will help get you through

Have a great time

Morning sweet friends. I'm finally starting to get settled in to my life again after the long trip to see Amy. I have a brand new (still in the box) serger that I've been waiting to uncrate (I bought it a month ago) because I knew I didn't have time to do what I would do when I opened the box...which is nothing else but play with it So...today is the day. I'm saying hey before I go down and get my new toy out and teach myself how to use it. I'm almost trembling with excitement...it's a really great machine.

Hope Kyle's surgery goes really well, Carrie. I don't know what that kind of thing entails.

hey, deb! glad to see you back! HAVE FUN with your new toy! sounds great!

he will have to re-break his nose as i'm sure it has started to heal, but that's what he wanted to happen before fixing it. gives better insurance that the 'setting' will be more stable if the bones have started re-knitting together already. no incisions or anything.

yes...they won't do anything while he is awake. kyle wouldn't agree to ANYTHING like that...once i told him he would be OUT, he was much more agreeable to getting it fixed.
