Thanks so much! As I was reading your post I was going to ask you to shortcut me and you already did This sounds like just what I'm looking for. I'll get into it later (probably tonight after DH goes to bed) and tell you what I think.

And your DUH comment cracked me up. It reminded me of another saying that your "new" concept reminds me of. K.I.S.S. Keep it Simple Stupid.

Nope. Means I'm thinking.

It all makes great sense. I did the no seconds thing alone a few years back and it made a very positive difference. And I know I'm eating way too much. Too much of a good thing is still TOO DARN MUCH! I haven't finish reading the link you gave me yet, but I'm definitely going to implement the concepts.

I need to decide whether I'm sticking with P3 foods to start with or what. I'm assuming you're doing whatever at this point since you have been doing JUDDD vs P2? Since the whole idea is to stop obsessing over food, I do want to head that direction. When you went to JUDDD right after your last P2, you didn't adhere to the P3 rules at that point did you? Didn't you do fine?

correct, i didn't adhere to P3 foods when i went from P2 to juddd. did fine i guess...there were swings, but DDs brought it down.

i'm not sure exactly where the disconnect came even when doing juddd as far as why the gain...possibly the times when i ended up with 3 UDs in a row...then not sticking to rotation to get rid of the gains from too many UDs in a row.

the thing i like with this is no one will know i do anything different than them with the exception of not getting seconds and turning down desserts outside the "s" days...the food on my plate will look no different than their's so no questions to answer....

Plus I'm a wee bit tired of counting and journaling every bite I take too. So far from what I've read, this seems so doable. And after what we've been through for the last few years, it seems so "un-diet". I'm going to give it a try. I'm in Bud

So here's the plan. Today I'm playing by the rules, even though it's an "S" day because tomorrow is my Birthday. Even though technically I could get away with it, no point in taking advantage right off the bat. So tomorrow I will keep with the no seconds and maybe no snacks, but I do believe I will allow myself the Sweet. That will also give me the extra time to finish the link you sent me, maybe a little extra research and have my game plan well in hand for Tuesday. I mean it's not like I have to buy any special food, make anything special or clear out anything that would call to me. How cool is that?

So since today I actually started playing, I guess I count today’s weight as starting weight. But I think I’ll convert to Friday for weigh in day at the end of the week. How about you? Kind of a bummer I’m heading into HH week, but the funny thing is I don’t feel quite as concerned about it. Already less stress, how about that?

whoop, whoop!!

*technically* "S" also stands for 'special' days, so you *could* make tomorrow an 's' day. but your plan sounds perfect, too.

i would advise not weighing everyday i am only weighing on fridays. that way, i get the rest of the week to get rid of any "s" days indulgences.

HH week is a bummer. BUT, don't weigh till friday, missy!! i know you can do it! that's freeing too....just monitor how you look and feel. that's been telling me a lot.

yay, glad you are joining me. also, did you find the forums? look at the top of the page, there is a link called 'discuss'.

Oh yeah I have plans for tomorrow That's why I choose not to go overboard today. Besides I had corn bread with dinner. OH MY!

I haven't checked out the forums yet. I'm almost to the end of the link. I printed it so I could read it at my leisure. But I saw reference to them. Hope to check some out tonight.

I WILL NOT WEIGH UNTIL FRIDAY! I'm so brave

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to take half the day off. It was family lunch day but it got cancelled, so I have the day to myself to shop.

I'm going to try this new spa treatment that is supposed to help you lose weight and tighten lose skin. I got it on a Groupon. With the credits I had plus the Groupon deal I got three treatments for $38. Their special right now is 12 for $750. Now I'll make the best of my three I'll let you know how it goes. I took measurements this morning.

Really looking forward to some homemade brownies tonight!

Have a great day.

Good Morning!
I had a very nice day yesterday. I didn't find much exciting and special shopping, but did get a lot of needful things that I've been wanting for a while. Speaking of which, I'll be emailing you about the flavors du jour for your lovely soaps, time to stock up again.

The spa treatment was a real trip. They put these electrode pads on the areas you want to target, and then hook you up to a machine that pulses to different degrees in three separate cycles in the course of an hour. At the highest level, or highest level I could tolerate yesterday, when it pulsed my arm I couldn't bend my fingers. So you're supposed to get results after even one treatment (which is supposed to be the effect of ten workouts), but of course to really get you where you want to be they want to sell you 20+ treatments. I have two more treatments. I had them target my upper arms, thighs and obliques (you only have eight pads at a time). After treatment one I don't see any difference in my arms or waist, but it looks like my thighs are about 1/4-1/2" down and I do see a difference in cellulite. So not bad. I'm going to do the second treatment Thursday and the third next week.

Now the brownies OH MY! they were so good! Instead of trying to find a decent brownie at a bakery to limit my quantity (and being disappointed) I made my own. I do good brownies, if I do say so myself. I did have two, then wrapped them up and put them in the freezer. I don't know if it was the "new plan" dedication or just the fact that it was okay to do, but I was totally satisfied without feeling the need to overdo it.

I'm doing real well with the three plate rule too. I'll admit it's a challenge when it comes to typical snack time out of habit, but not at all overly hard and I am paying more attention to what I compose my meals of. The whole “I can have whatever I want” is such a total high it out shines everything else. I'm trying not to put too much stock in Friday's weigh in with HH week and all, but if this works at the very least to maintain at the moment, if not to start inching down, I'll be one happy girl!

So today I'm off. I have annual checks. Bloodtests, Mamogram and Vision check. A higher than normal cholesterol test last year is what really got me going on losing weight. In between I plan to check out the college town thrift stores, I figure this is the perfect time, right after the kids have left town. And if I feel like it I might go to Macy's and see if I can find a couple work shirts and/or jeans.

Hope you have a great day! Good luck at the game tonight. How is the other team’s record?

i loved reading about your day....thank you! those treatments do sound interesting. will be anxious to see what your results are after all three.

i totally get what you are saying about the control factor. i, too, do not feel the need or temptation to overdo it. i have actually been getting hungry 1-2 hrs before my next meal, which i actually enjoy the feeling of. for one, it let's me know i am not eating too much at the previous meal, and for two....it makes me look way more forward to and enjoy that next meal.

sounds like you have a full day. all tests come back perfect!

i asked about the other teams record, but he didn't know.

Okay this is so weird. I'm not trying to do this.

First appt this morning was blood draw, no breakfast 'till after. So I packed my favorite salami and mustard sandwich and a small banana (can't remember the last) and stopped at Starbucks for my coffee. Got full, didn't finish and didn't even flinch throwing the rest away.

Can't snack, not ready for lunch before my last appt @ 1pm. So I sat there getting my eyes checked with my tummy growling. Took me a minute to realize it was growling, not just settling.

Then I think "I can have whatever I want". So I start thinking about all the things that usually call to me. I can actually go have a Habit (my favorite) Burger!!! "Meh, I'll just go home and make an early dinner" I realize my bacon and mushroom quiche is going to take too long and I'll be too hungry so I just make a grilled cheese and call it lunch. Oh but I can have stuff with it and still call it a meal. "Meh, that's all I want".

I don't know if I'll even make my quiche or not, we'll see.

This is weird.

Both I guess. I feel great. I really do think I'm eating less. But I've been eating a lot of bread. And coming off Low Carb that's a concern. Plus having an S day on Monday and I'll eat restaurant food tonight, plus HH week not quite sure what to expect.

So did you do no-s during last weekend?

This will be my first official weekend and we're on the road. I'm not worried about sticking with the plan, it's too darn easy. But it will be interesting next week with a full week of plan and then I'll be out of HH week. I guess I have bigger sights on giving the plan a real evaluation then, even though that may even be a little early.

what if you just didn't weigh till after HH week?? *gasp* plus there will be some fluid fluctuations from the added carbs, too.

i started with supper friday evening. so by friday morning it'll have been mostly a week. my weekend 's' days weren't too off the wall, at all. i had dessert saturday night and a doughnut at church on sunday morning. otherwise no seconds really either day nor snacks either day.

this morning i had a bigger breakfast but i ate a lot earlier than i had been. not sure what lunch and supper will be yet.

GASP! Actually I thought of that and I just might do it. I'm feeling so unstressed and on plan I don't want to ruin it with a false high. Plus DH is taking me away for the weekend for my birthday and I'll have my final "spa" treatment next week. I think a week and a half with a full weekend + of S days will give me a real handle on whether this will be a good deal for me.

The way I think I'm going to approach S days is like it was just another N day, but if I really care about something I'll allow myself to break the rules on a limited basis without guilt. But I'm not going to do it just because I can.

I'm still finding that I'm not much interested in all the bad options I could have and really enjoying my good healthy food with a little extra good stuff.
Today was scrambled eggs with cheese & avocado for breakfast. I didn't have anything prepared for lunch, tried to tell myself I could just pick up fast food. Cut up some lunch ham, and apple and a cheese ball instead and really enjoyed it. Tonight I meet a friend for dinner and at Bistro and will enjoy whatever sounds good that is not a “sweet”. There again I just feel on plan, why mess with it at this very vulnerable and precarious point.

it sounds like you're doing great!

enjoy your evening with your friend! let me know what you decide on!

we are at home tonight with nothing to do....rather enjoying it! will probably do some laundry...that's not too taxing.

I think you'll be proud of me. My friend is a big sweet tooth, so I knew that was going to come up. The first thing she asked was if we could split an appetizer and get a salad. Maybe pushing the seconds rule a little on that one, but it worked in my evil plan. So we split a calamari and I got a shrimp Caesar, no bread or anything like that, just lemon water. Then we she announced to the waiter it was our birthdays, I should have known why she picked the place, they announced they would bring us free ice cream and fresh cookies for desert. You could tell she was disappointed when I said I couldn't possibly eat another bite so the waiter said he would pack it to go. I now have half melted ice cream and cookie resting safely in the freezer next to my left over birthday brownies

HELLO!

(lurking) wondering what you guys were up to - working on a paper and decided to take a break and see what path you were taking these days! I just read that whole S diet webpage

What's an HH day/week?

The S diet reminds me of how easily I maintained in P4 after Round 1 and Round 2. It was after that I started getting "smart" and trying to do all these stupid calculations that I had more trouble maintaining LOL..... A bite of this, a bite of that, a big salad, some protein, a balanced plate, a piece of fruit for dessert, and I was done! I guess this just confirms what I was thinking I should do after P3 this time. ALTHOUGH - I am still considering JUDDD for the anti-inflammatory effects. We'll see.

OH - and I'd love to hear more about your spa treatments, Terri - what were they called?

Hugs girls!

Hey Marie!
Good to see you. I was just thinking last night, wouldn't it be crazy if this were the key to stabilization we've all been searching for. I never thought I'd be someone that logged every bite I took into a sight like fit day and analyzed every percentage of every nutrient, and then I found myself obsessed with it. Which wouldn't have been so bad if I wasn't constantly gaining while I was doing it.

I have to admit this seems so simple, easy and unstressful it's almost too good to be true I'm a little worried since I'm doing it as P3 instead of P4.

These spa treatments are a trip. Its call Electro-Slim. You can learn more about it by going to imagehealthone.com. The testimonials are pretty incredible, but aren't they always? I get my second today and I'll do my third next week. I'll track and post how it goes.

HH week is Hormonal Hell week when the fluctuations, water retention and cravings are at their worst. For me that's the week before TOM. Its funny how in tuned to my body I have become. Now if I could just whip it into submission
