Yep...there's a tight rope you have to walk, between knowing what a person wants and deciding whether it's the right thing to give it to them.

A friend of mine is going thru this with her DH...he's under 50 and this is a real issue for him. Check out the warehouse stores that have a hearing department...as their prices are a bit better....Good luck!

And my goodness what a year! Especially for you Bud. It was great having you to spend it with.

Well being so busy I forgot to eat lunch was not the preferred or planned way to lose, but it works. Down another .70. But still working on pre-Sunday weight. And least I’m heading in the right direction. Plus I worked out yesterday.

it HAS been a year!! and have loved having you to travel it with.

i was down 1.2 () after my DD. i have been eating premiere protein bars on my DD. i wonder if they are hindering more losses on my DDs...will have to try a day without them and see.

UD and a busy day. noah and i have to be at the hospital for easy treatment by 9am or sooner....then have to scoot right back to the school for ds1's 8th grade graduation. this evening kyle has a game. whew!

congrats on your loss....don't forget to eat, girl!!

have a great day!

I've been thinking about it for a long time, remembering we became friends right after I joined and wanted to surprise you, so I looked through our old threads. The trick was remembering on the exact day. It was so crazy yesterday, I panicked for a minute when I remembered mid day "what day is it?"

Sounds like you have a great day going. How many more treatments for our little trouper?

I'll never forget my son's 8th grade graduation. It was outside and after the ceremony the principal turned to the crowd to present the graduating class. Just then a big lightning bolt stuck behind him and the light show continued through the evening. He took him out to dinner and to the arcade to celebrate and I told him it was fireworks to celebrate his night

awww...how sweet are you! that was very fun to open the thread and see.

graduation was fun. they did a nice ceremony. except the gal that made their slideshow of pictures forgot kendall and one other kid's baby pictures so no one got to see his baby cuteness.

baseball was fun. kyle pitched which he DID great. they got a lot of hits, which kyle thinks is a failure on his part as far as pitching. can't get him to see that hits are ALWAYS better than walking them. that it gives the whole team a chance to participate. he had troubles hitting last night and struck out twice. they ended up losing by one. this is the first team they played for the year and our boys beat them the first time. so i did not have a happy camper when we got home. another game tonight.

your son's graduation definitely sounds memorable!

so for some reason i decided to weigh after DDs only. UD was ok yesterday.

how was your day?

Morning Bud,
Quite a day yesterday! Noah doing okay?

We had KFC yesterday, chicken only for me. And I also did a heavy work out. I can feel the water retention. I'm up 1.1. But I figure with good water consumption it'll be gone by tomorrow.

Tell Kyle "Go Spartans, Go Kyle" is being heard all the way to California

Okay Bud, you’re not going to believe this. Or maybe you are the only one that will. For the last week I’ve been reading Protein Power, totally getting back into the low carb “by the book” frame of mind. I’ve been exercising with an emphasis on strength training for the last two weeks. I’m feeling good, stronger, but the weight is ticking up. So getting ready to go for Protein Power “by the book” and what does Mr. Fried Chicken announce this morning? He needs to lose ten pounds and wants to do a round. Really!?
So here I am, quite surprised, staring at another round. I start pellets tomorrow. Timing wise it couldn’t be better. Last day of HH was today. That gives me a solid four weeks until the next HH week starts.
The Plan:
Next two days – Low carb. Basically eat up all the high fat perishables in the house.
Twenty-three day round
Finish the day after my birthday (a Monday). Since DH is out of town we would celebrate the weekend before or after, this year will be after.
The eating plan – Starting out with my basic rogue protocol, 500-700 calories, mixing veggies, occasional SF soda and/or Jell-O, other than that typical protocol.
Exercise – I have been amping up my workouts to higher weights and longer. I will back down a bit, but at least maintain my starting regiment and continue to power walk at every opportunity.
The real irony…… I’m starting one year and four days from when I started my first round. I’ll tell you tomorrow how the starting weight compares, although I’m still in considerably smaller sizes the weight is closer then I would like to admit. This makes me realize I need to take measurements. That is itself will be interesting, especially since prior to starting HCG last year I really hadn’t been exercising much. I guess we’ll also find out if I’ve learned anything over the last year or not.

How was your weekend? How did Kyle and the almighty Spartans fair? Noah doing okay? How close is he to ringing the final bell?

Holy Molly Bud!
I'm only 1lb less then where I started last year and the measurements are not much better. How did this happen? I know I'm working on a post weekend bloat, but I haven't yet lost all of last weekend's bloat. Looks like a very good thing I find myself loading today. Definitely going to keep it low carb.

Hope you have a great day!! What are you doing this week?

Good morning Bud!
Well the low carb load is working out again, down 1# this morning. I wasn't perfect, a few spoons of DH's ice cream, but I also had a big weekend bloat going. I also did a nice workout last night. Whatever, it will help the attitute today.

Hope you have a lovely day!

Wow that's great!! If I were you I'd take a quick look back on composition. There was something your body was happy about.

Second load day today. Starting out with a chocolate cherry smoothie. While checking out my frozen chili and veggie soup supply I found a slice of crustless quiche, that will be lunch. Not sure about dinner. I have an appt. after work so will pick something up. DH doesn't ask for pizza.

Have a great day! GO SPARTANS!

hmmm...the composition of Saturday's eats.... a big mac for lunch!! yummy, fatty smoked ribs for supper and a lot of coconut butter, a few potato chips, some carrots...i think there was more, but can't remember. i think my digestion does better with some carbs...when i am strict LC...i..well, no other way to put it, have very loose stools. when i have some carbs, i don't have that problem....dh just laughed when i told him that, ok dear, whatever you need to justify those carbs. lol... i don't think that's what i'm doing, i *do* get tired of loose stools tho. and this is one observation i have made of what happens when i eat carbs. i know i need to find a happy balance of some carbs and a whoOOA baby amount of carbs....kwim? i do know that too many makes me feel like ca-ca like today...achy, flu like symptoms....don't like it....

Morning Bud,
My low carb load netted me a 1.1 loss. Today is the begining of P2.

How'd your DD go?

Good Morning Bud!
How's your day starting out?

Today I'm down 1.5. Yesterday 528 calories + 25 minute lift & squat routine. Love those first week loses!

you go girl! you're making me jealous!! but i'm so happy for you.

day's ok...it's nice to not have to get up at 5:30am anymore.

UD yielded me a 1.8 gain...<shrugs> goes with the territory. will have a good DD today.

last night's game was sooooo awesome!! in spite of the hurricane winds blowing directly in our faces and horribly DRY field .... my hair never felt so gross....BUT, i digress.....kyle pitched SUCH an awesome game!! game ended after 4 innings as our guys 10 run ruled them. kyle pitched so good it took the other team 3 innings to get thru their batting order one time! he had one inning that was pitch away from a no hitter. proud mama night, for sure!
