Yeah the loss really helped the can do attitude. I was really beginning to doubt my ability to make it happen.

Got to go day by day with my flibbertigibbet brain But I did set up a long round table. My desire is just go for goal. Convert to a perfect P3, stabilize and stay there. Even if I did a long round, I'd only be two days away from P4 by the time my birthday hits in June. I'm going to work on that to motivate me to make it this time.

Good Morning!
How was your day yesterday?

Yesterday was first day of load for me. Pretty much stayed with low carb, high fat with the exception of a little potato with last night’s pot roast. Thought it would be to die for, just Meh. Didn't even finish. In fact my appetite was really small yesterday. I don't know if things are just working for me better this time or I'm just getting my Mojo. After thinking yesterday about being at goal on my birthday I decided I'm going for it. Not just giving it a try.

morning...my day was good. went with a friend to the city so she could get some stuff as sam's as she doesn't have a sam's membership.

we ate lunch at buffalo wild wings. i *did* have fries, but that was the only carby thing i had yesterday. still my scale swung up again. i hope the wild swings settle down soon. i know it's t be expected for the scale to go up some after an UD, but mine has such swings yet. DD today and following ratios similar to monday's DD.

glad to you hear your frame of mind is back (getting back) into the swing of things! for a most excellent b-day gift of being at goal!!

hi, deb! please don't pull ALL your hair out. i'm sure you have a lovely head and all, but i think your rather pretty WITH hair. don't overdo it, girl!

Hi,

Yesterday I supported a friend who had a long day of medical testing. I packed everything for P2 including salad greens. Had my juice for breakfast.

Ate my dinner including the salad greens in the evening and promptly got sick...oh, my. lol

down today...

Terri, it hasn't been a full week for me yet, so far, juicing is working. losses are exceeding R1 losses for me. I don't know how it would be so close to goal and you've probably tried this all before.... But if you have a juice bar around see if a green concoction or a shot of wheatgrass aids in your P2. And I do put stevia in my fresh green juice, no fruit...well lemon only. Makes it tasty.

Oh, if you get the bee yummy sample the face mask is heavenly. My skin returned to a youthful sheen... I'm looking for a good body exfoliator...any ideas?

Have a great day everyone.

Lydia

And it begins. Total load gain 2.3. Not too bad considering pizza, pot roast & cookies. I always end up eating more carbs then I plan

Good morning all!

I'll check out the juice thing Lydia. I hear the wheat grass is very energizing as well. Carrie do you have exfoliater in your line? You should check out Daisy Girl Bath, her soaps, lip balm and lotion are awesome. I can't wait to check out more stuff.

Morning Deb, good to see you. Looks like your round is going as stellar as before.

Morning Bud. Good luck on you DD today. Are you going to do the higher cal/fat?

morning, bud...you and hubby off on the road this weekend? have fun, if you are!

so apparently my body does seem to prefer higher cals and balanced protein and fat grams better than uber low cals on a DD. yesterday i ended up around 670 cals, 51g fat, 30g protein, 15 net carbs. ok, so fat was a bit higher than protein. i was down 2.8 this morning. as opposed to only being down 1.6 after a super low cal/no fat/all protein day.

hope you are having a great weekend!

deb, cristen, lydia....have a great weekend as well!

oh...the make a wish gal just called to set up an appointment to come talk with us about noah's make a wish.

AND....I'd just like to say that Carrie's body scrubs make my life better in every possible way. No seriously...yes, I love the woman, but for REAL...her products have made an enormous difference in the quality of my life y'all. I have never ever experimented with skin care products because I am allergic to life. Every single time I've ever bought a different/new brand of cosmetic anything...makeup, lotion, soap, hair stuff, anything at all...I've ended up on a round of prednisone, looking like Elephant Man until the inflammation, rash, swelling and peeling subsided.

So....imagine my delight to find out that I can not only enjoy the luscious delicious scents of Daisy Girl, but I can smear everything in the product line anywhere...even on my face...and no reaction. It feels soooo good. I'm pretty sure the hand/body lotion actually settles down my 'nerve rash' that I get on my neck when I'm stressed out. Normally, that's a cortisone situation...but I sort of slathered it a couple nights in the row the last time I felt the 'burn' start...and it went away. I'm thankful! (get the grapefruit sugar scrub...it's awesome )

What a totally awesome day!! What is DH's role in the church? Also I forgot to ask you, what is Noah going to wish for with the make a wish folks?

Sounds like your JUDDD swings a starting to head the right direction

We did hit the road yesterday. Had a Carl's Jr grilled chicken salad dressed with fresh lemon. Strawberries and bread stick for breakfast and chicken thigh with veggies for dinner. Snacks were a hardboiled egg and SF jello. Only down .5, thought it would be more. Mr. Fried Chicken was down 2.3, his whole load, then some.

woohoo! I told you that load would be gone in a flash! awesome!

hubby is on the leadership team. he is also in charge of the eduction curriculums for the kiddos and in charge of the Wednesday night kids program. we do AWANA for our Wednesday night program, only a couple weeks left then they break for the summer.

Noah has talked about 3 different wishes. 1. an Alaskan cruise 2. visiting the set of one of his favorite shows, Top Gear. 3. Disneyland

It is such a beautiful day today. Gonna get out in it in a moment but first I had to say hello.

Dazy, I didn't know about your products, I'll check them out tonight. I swell up like a grapefruit with most products as well, lol. Can't wait to see what you have.

Yes, try the juice. My losses are good but what's amazing is that I'm feeling really good. I read about what Swiss Chard can do for ya and I'm juicin' it! I sooo need the nutrition of it. Yesterday my juice was Kale, Swiss Chard, Yes...a couple brusle sprouts (shhh), Cucumber and I added my apple....(shhhh). Stir in some stevia....yum. I drank late because I got home yesterday late and still went down on the scale today. yay.

Geez, if you need an extra boost of energy in a day hit up a Jamba Juice for a shot of wheatgrass. Yes, it tastes yukky until you see how good it makes you feel and all of a sudden it tastes really good.

Take care and enjoy the day!

Lydia

I don't know if I can inform you about the juicer that I use without breaking rules here. But I've been deleted before...lol,

here it goes...I use a Breville Fountian Plus juicer....but, I'm upgrading to a Breville Elite as soon as it comes back in stock around here. I tried using the inexpensive juicers and it was a disaster. You know, if you decide to juice the better machine is worth every penny.

And I'm even thinking of getting a wheatgrass extractor. So strange that I'm thinking of doing it....I love life, you can start doing something completely different in a moment. And it's really great when something works.

Hey Lydia! Definitely going to check out the wheat grass at Jamba Juice this week. P2 leaves me needing energy if nothing else. I'll try the lemon, plus I'll bring a package of Truvia and see if I can't "Lydia it up" Totally check out the Daisy Girl Bath site. The products are fabo! I don't have allergy issues, just love the luxury of real quality stuff.

Okay Bud, here it is, don't be surprised. My DH is a musician too. I met him because he was the lead singer and lead guitarist in my room mate's band. Yep, a groupie. He hasn't done anything with his gift in years; he's sort of an all or nothing kind of guy. But who knows. Now that it looks like we've found a church home and he searches for a way to serve

Okay yesterday was 760 calories, 37%F, 30%P, 33%C. The loss was only .50. Today ended up being 752 calories, 35%F, 35%P, 29%C. Hoping upping the protein pleases the scale fairy. Tomorrow no eating out so I'm hoping for 587 calories, 38%F, 38%P, 25%C. Unless the scale changes my mind. I'm following the OWL template more or less but adding more protein.

That is pretty wild about your hubby! Ask him if he has ever played or knows what a kajone drum is. That is what dh is sitting on and playing.

Your plan sounds good. Definitely hope fairies are happy tomorrow. But isn't OWL like 800 cals?

Had a good DD today. I really feel good mentally right now which I am so happy about. Did one meal again at 2:30. No hunger at all till right now but am in bed and don't mind going to bed with a growly tummy.

Have a good sleep, bud! And the rest of you lovelies, as well!

I have a video of Noah's baptism, if you'd like to see it.

I would LOVE to see it.

I thought OWL was 800 too, but its 600-700. It's the Sonya Russell plan that's 800. It's only available in an E-book so I haven't read it yet and haven't been able to get much info. Someone in her organization got on the thread with a sales pitch and they removed it. I'm glad they don't allow that here, it's hard enough to get reliable information without the sales hype. I just wish they would have only removed the post and not the thread. Maybe I'll start a new one and ask for info from those who have tried it. Anyone lurking with info?

Down .50 again. Painfully slow losses so far. We'll see how the lower calories go today, but I'm starting the think fat fast again.

How's your day?

good morning! congrats on your .5...slow as it seems, remember it *is* the average daily loss for women. (although, i think you should try 800 cals and a bit more fat....your body seems to respond so well to cals/fat being a bit higher...just my opinion, of course )

i am good. down just the pound i was up after my UD sat. but that's ok. TOM started yesterday so maybe that is having somewhat of an impact. i actually ended up with only 550 cals instead of 637 that i had planned.

no, dh didn't make the drum...he got it at guitar/music shop. he really enjoys playing it.

here's noah's video.

I think that's a great idea. The hardest thing about fat fast is going back to anything but P3 and I don't want to go there yet. I need some ideas for higher fat without maxing the calories. A couple things I came up with is doing just two eggs without the extra white, my chocolate cherry smoothie with low fat yogurt and flax oil and maybe some avocado here and there. Maybe some almonds, I'll have to look them up.

I can't wait to see the video. I'm saving it for tonight to watch with DH. That's something that's really been on his mind as he never has been baptized. He was very excited for Noah yesterday. By the way, our new pastor has a son named Noah. I just took that as another good sign.

Hi guys, I'm new here, and doing my best to catch up on this thread! Are some of you doing the fat fast during P2, or is this part of your P3 routine? Fat Fast, JuDDD, and calorie cycling all sort of the same thing?

I'm on P2 #who knows what (8 I think) and I traded in my fruit for more protein which I eat for breakfast. I was at 152.6 this morning, and I'm hoping to reach my goal of 133 - 135. So far I'm down 10 lbs this round.

Coconut oil is a medium-chain fatty-acid, and supposedly the first tbsp or so are used by the body as energy, not treated as fat.

I've been researching Leptin Resets as well, since I have been stuck at about this weight (143-153) for over a year now. There is some great research that shows when the leptin receptors on our hypothalamus aren't working properly we tend to be overweight, and can't lose the weight. I recently finished a Leptin Reset diet for 6 weeks, and this P2 will show me if I accomplished anything. My numbers are shot because my shots lost potency and I was starving during the second week. Yesterday I started with a new batch of shots and everything is moving again. Lol I know its working because my hands are freezing!

Wow Maggie you've done great! Big congrads

Welcome to our little corner of crazy.

We all kind of do our own thing here with each other’s support. I'm more into fat fasting which I do both in P2 and P3 with very good results. Currently I'm starting a new round along the OWL protocol. It's starting painfully slow, so I'm already modifying towards higher fat. Personally I can't do coconut oil, but there are others that have no problem with it.

Good luck to you!

terri....it's only a couple things, but this is becoming my DD staple meal (remember, i've only been doing one meal a day on DDs). it's so filling. it could be split up into 2 meals for the day instead gobbling it all down in one meal like i do.

4oz chicken breast (yes, i use canned chicken, but it's purely for convenience....bad, bad...i know.)
1 avocado
whatever saucy thing you like to go over it. i either use a little ranch dressing...or sour cream and salsa...or melted laughing cow cheese...or light miracle whip.

i just pile it all on a plate and eat it.

with that i eat one of my strawberry smoothie's.
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/4 c coconut milk. you could use half and half here or 1/8th cup heavy cream? or whatever quantity you can 'spend' calorie wise.
1 pkt crystal flavor of choice. i like raspberry ice or wild strawberry
enough water to blend it

HTH!
this meal keeps me full a loooong time!!

Wow, I'd never heard of the OWL diet, and that's pretty much what I follow, I just keep calories lower. Diet soda, check, artificial sweeteners, check, canned or frozen veggies, check! If it fits around 500 calories in my diet tracker, it's a go, except for grains, sugars, and most fats. Coconut oil I will do... so I guess I'm between 600 - 700 myself! (I don't count the first Tbsp of coconut oil.)

Hi,

Get the business out of the way. I went off plan today... completely. I'm usually solid when it comes to having my head in this game. ....I'm looking at it, figured out the triger...but I can dwell sometimes...so...I'm not going to dose tonight, let the scale be the tool that it is and, tomorrow, start again. And the physical feeling of eating what's not right for me...well, I feel like I've been hit by a truck.

Carrie, I think I found your bath and stuff...wow. Nice. I'm going to look around there a bit. I'm sure that I will find something I like. So far I love your packaging.

Yes, Terri, the wheatgrass is 5 to 10 cal for a shot and it gives some energy back, I've found. And it tastes great, so there's that.

Take care,

I'll check in tomorrow morning instead of the evening.

Lydia
