blessed by the scale? i suppose in a way, i was i am up 0.8 but yesterday was pretty much normal eating with lunch with a friend and then my boys' first track meet, so could have been worse, i guess. MAN those things are LOOOONG!! but was fun to watch them, even if THEY weren't happy with their performances. so just went along with that thing called 'life' . will get my menu planned for today.

i hope your scale was kind to YOU!!

noah's good. sat with me at the very long track meet..."shared" his hamburger, nachos, and popcorn with me. ie: he couldn't finish them...

Don't know what going on here, really struggling, up .10. I'm going to do FF again today but try to keep the calories down.

Glad Noah is improving.

well, shoot...i'm sorry bud...

honestly...i'm 'doing' the hcg, but not making much progress...i mean i am down weight i gained when i was in MN with my sister, but haven't gotten below what i was when i went up there. i don't know...i'm still drawn to JUDDD and am leaning towards heading back to that direction.

I’ve been thinking about what you said and you’re right, I usually do respond to higher fat and even higher calories. The only thing different about yesterday was the Clouds, and I only had two but they were dipped in cocoa crack. I’ve had problems with crack before and I don’t think I overindulged then either. So I’m thinking Coconut Oil may just not be in the cards for me. I’m still going forward with Fat Fast today, no Clouds and try and pare off a few calories here and there and see what it gets me.

So what are you doing? Are you continuing with HCG?

i agree, your bod makes me jealous with how it like higher cals! embrace that, girl!!

interesting about the coconut oil. i love all the excellent info about CO and how beneficial it is. i want to get some more of the nutivia coconut manna. i want to see how it really affects me. i was pretty much binging on it when i brought it home from MN. i need to see how it affects me with normal consumption.

what am i going to do? you weren't supposed to ask me that... lol... b/c i have no idea yet. i go back to what we talked about awhile ago. needing to figure out how to get rid of a few pounds of over indulgence off WITHOUT the crutch of hcg. i'm really thinking i need to continue to work on that, kwim? haven't decided yet....you won't hate me if i decide to jump into a JUDDD-ish thing, will you?

Why, you going somewhere? We're in this together HCG or not to HCG (true meaning of Bud )

The way I'm feeling today, I'm not sure HCG is the crutch we think it is. I wonder if it’s just the vehicle to suppress appetite so we can stick to the low calories long term. What it isn’t is an eraser for bad or lax behavior. Maybe we just need to take a break even though it's homeopathic. Although you know how it is trying to lose weight on a diet you lost on before. It doesn’t seem to work as well whether its motivation to stick to it long term or that you know how to cheat and you start out with that attitude, or what.

I feel a little dazed on confused at the moment. I think the best I can do is take it a day at a time. And you know how it is; the scale can make all the difference in the plan of the day.

that's why I have been lurking and not posting, Terri and Carrie...I just don't know about this diet thing anymore (and I certainly don't know what to write or say)...I am just happy to stay in the 130's and try not to stress out if I shoot up to 137...as long as go back to 135 or 136. The less I stress, the better I seem to do ...but there are days my body won't let go of the weight, and other days it does...no matter what I do. I noticed this when we went on a short, but stressful trip to Santa Fe...I tried to eat carefully, yet also enjoyed myself. I was a little concerned about stepping on the scale when I got home and damned if I didn't lose 2 pounds!! (just to quickly recapture said pounds and a few more a week later)

Onward I guess

It’s funny how one minute I feel all alone on the bench unable to figure out why I can't figure it out. The next thing I look up and find all my friends sitting there with me watching the same game.

One thing for sure, we're all better off than when we started. And we’re moving on from here!

it is nice not to feel alone in this journey to re-establish a normal/better/less obsessive 'relationship' with food....much as i hate that we are all here scratching our heads saying 'whatthe....' why can't i get this...it's nice to not be alone....ya know?

good to see you cristen.

The only curb you get kicked to is the one I drag you to to keep me company

for down day tomorrow. Tomorrow is family lunch. Let's give each other moral support to make it through with success. I’ll make good choices for you; you make good choices for me

Okay, I went over my food list yesterday and added a few more calories for HWC in my coffee and butter in my eggs. So yesterday ended up with 1549 calories, 87% fat. Today, shaving here and there (NO CLOUDS) I ended up with 1298 calories, 83% fat.

Not making any decisions until I see the scale tomorrow (just so I don't have to change my mind )

Good Morning!
Fat Fast finally kicking in, down 2 pounds this morning. So sticking with Fat Fast and HCG today. Will do Cobb Salad with Blue Cheese dressing for family lunch, 1 egg + 1 yoke with avocado for breakfast and cheese crust pepperoni pizza for dinner (I think ).

Good luck on DD. What's the menu?

wooohooo! on your 2 pounds! fabulous!

and your plan sounds great...i hope i like what you pick me.

wellll.....i just got up and showered. kids don't go back to school till tues. so i don't have to get up at 5:30 for the next few days. i haven't planned my menu yet.

i'd like to try IF on my DD's and only do an evening meal...but haven't totally decided yet.

i was blessed this morning on the scale. i stayed the same. i know that doesn't sound like a blessing, but i feel that it is b/c i had 2 UD's in a row (tues-wed) and am only up 0.8 from tuesday morning's weight (weight before UDs). so my motivation is so much stronger without having to undo 2 UD's....kwim?

is this an easter family get together? you'll do great, i know it! with that 2 lb loss i bet it'll drive you to make excellent choices!!

Yeah! That's the way to go! I totally get that success.

I'm hoping to find a sunrise service this year. They haven't had many the last couple years, partly because weather. The weather looks good this year so I'm hoping. We still haven't settled on a home church so it will be a good time to go a visiting. Maybe to the same place as the sunrise service, maybe somewhere different. How about you?

Because we'll be traveling around that means meals out. Probably going to go with highest fat low carb.

oh, i hope you find something perfect for you.

our church does an 8am potluck breakfast then the easter service. we usually go out with dh's parents and probably my mom too to the local pizza buffet....funny i know, but that's where his folks like to go and it's about being together, not the food, right?

having friends over tomorrow night and hopefully mom and my sister and her dd on sunday night. so lots of social stuff...will be as mindful as possible.

off to do some running around today. got my lunch packed. just something i'd eat on p2 for a DD today....290 cals for lunch....not sure what i'll do for supper yet.

Sounds like a lovely weekend and a great Easter. All we can do is make the best choices available and enjoy ourselves. Life is too short for anything else.

I always do better when I pack food. Good Job!

Good Morning Sleepy Head,
Hope you're enjoying Easter vacation.

Well I did pretty well. Stuck with Breakfast and Lunch plans. Then she brought them out. Not brownies, oh no, but brownie ice cream sandwiches. We are living and working on making this a life style right? So I had one. They were small 1x2x1, but so yummy. I could have had two more, didn't. Went to the store and the carb monster was trying to come out. Kept her at bay. Ended up having a chicken/garlic/cheese sausage with salad heavy on the Caesar dressing and overdid it a little on the whip cream for dessert. Wasn't sure what to expect today. Down .20

So I have a fresh batch of Cream Cheese Muffins. Going to try to do another FF today.

How'd your day go?

To coin your term, "down is down" for that.

We'll just keep making the best decisions out of all the options and make it through the weekend. We can do this!

Hey Bud!
Hope you're enjoying your Easter weekend. Today I spent a lot of time out in the yard planting and putting in dripper systems. About to crawl in the tub to soak away some sore muscles.

So yesterday I was contemplating this weekend and figured I wouldn't want to worry about the fat fast but nor was I interested in going back to low fat. So you guessed it, P3.

I'm thinking about doing fat fast Monday-Wednesday and Low Carb the rest of the week. If all goes well I might do this regularly for a while. May sound funny but it actually seems like a doable and enjoyable lifestyle to get these last pesky pounds off. We'll see how it goes.

Happy Easter! Christ is risen!!!!!!!!!

Happy Resurrection Day to you as well. He is risen and that's all I need. David and Will had to work this afternoon, so we came home from church and that was that. It's a gorgeous day here so Merry and I took a walk (we walked up to see our guys at Sonic and get a drink) and now we're going to get on the sewing. Not a big 'holiday' but it's not about eggs and chocolate anyway. Once in a while, I really enjoy the pared to the bone celebration. I super-loved the once a year joy of singing Christ the Lord is Risen Today and Christ Arose. We had a wonderful lesson the first hour of our service and the second hour was Communion...which is particularly meaningful on this day.

Hope you are having a wonderful day with family. I'm feeling really relaxed from our wonderful walk...and I need to shake that and get to work!

Well looks like Fat Fast will be more about recovering from Easter weekend than losing a few extra pounds. If I knew those little indulgences were going to add up so much, I'd have made them much more worth it Oh well, water under the bridge, it was still a great weekend.

How was your weekend? Happy last day of vacation!
