Hey Bud!
How are you feeling? How was your day?

I wasn't quite so hungry today, not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing. DH is convinced when you're hungry that means your body is losing. Hope to prove him wrong.
Today I ended up with:
781 calories
39% Fat
48% Protein
13% Carbs

Highest protein day so far due to two chicken meals. Tomorrow will be interesting. Hope the scale fairy is kind to you tomorrow.

Give Noah a little squeeze from Kansas. I hope the treatment isn't too hard on him.

Great job Bud Sounds like you're in the groove! I'm feeling it too. Of course once I get below my starting weight I always get a mental boost.

I have a family lunch Thursday I have to strategize for. Last time my sister's brownies totally derailed me. This time I offered to pick up lunch and bring it to her house (she's kind of disabled at the moment due to a hip issue) I’m picking up from the Old Spaghetti Factory. So I can go Low fat - Salad-no dressing or Whole Wheat Pasta with Marinara, or Low carb/high fat - Browned butter and Mizithra cheese over spaghetti squash. Time will tell when I get closer, it's Thursday. At this point I'm considering doing a Fat Fast with the later and I'll make cream cheese muffins for breakfast and Pepperoni Pizza for dinner. That's typically the timing when I start to stall, but we'll see how the Fat Flush is performing at that point. So far I'm down 2.8 in four days, kind of lack luster mainly because the first day was a .10 gain. I think I could have lost that in 2 or 3 days Fat fasting but that's just conjecture. I'll just have to see where the head is at when I get there.

Hope everything goes well at the hospital today. Do you plan to be there for a couple days?

If you do just eat first, then have a diet coke and salad with DH.

still have a snoozing buddy here. he got sick a few more times than he has in awhile. dr coulter says it's b/c he's on call this weekend you know this is the first time since noah started chemo that he has been the on call doc?? weird... but noah's (and me) glad to have him....it's just nicer when your own doc is taking care of you, ya know?

Good Morning,
Maybe it's because he's going longer inbetween now Very nice you have your own doc to be there though.

Well I had a bit of an up day yesterday, didn't count. On top of my typical I had my chocolate cherrry NF yogurt and whip cream and 2 glasses of wine. Still down .50, so pretty happy about that.

Hope our little buddy feels better soon!

well, not really longer between rounds...still every 3 weeks. just weird how his body reacts differently to the same meds.

i had an up day yesterday too. but it's that hospital thing. i don't want to worry about diet here for some reason. but didn't go hog wild or anything. 95% LC.

yay for being down 0.5 in spite of an UD! that's cool!

he's still sleeping it off.

I bet it's very comforting to have Dr. Coulter around. Sorry Noah's feeling more puny than he has. I know that must be discouraging. Does he have something to look at to see how much he's accomplished and how that compares to the short amount of time he has left of this stuff? Like a calendar where all his past treatments are marked off and he can see it's not all that far to get to the end? That would help me...I'm very good at bearing up as long as I know where "the end" is. It's when there is no end in sight that I have a hard time staying relaxed and trusting God to provide.

I can't imagine why ANYONE would want to think about a d.i.e.t. in that hospital, Carrie. Just getting through it would be more than most people could manage.

Morning Bud!
How's our little trouper? You home?

Looks like a good menu for today. Don't worry, you'll recover from the hospital in no time. Make sure to hit the water!

I down .80 this morning. First weekend in a month I haven't gained, if I can keep it up today. Yesterday was:
802 calories
44% fat
50% protein
6% carbs

good morning, bud.

well, down a pound this morning. (i had only gone up 1.4 from being in the hospital, so that's a plus, just 0.4 from friday morning's weight). but still am not to my low this round...1 lb from that. LDW (day 21) is april 9. i hope to get a lot accomplished by then.

pray for noah...he's still getting sick. so strange how one treatment can be so different from another when he's getting the same meds each time.

how are you doing, bud?

Big prayers for our little bud, so sorry to hear he's having a rough one. Are you going to check with the doc this morning?

My sister in law, age 42, had breast cancer about seven years ago. She was just diagnosed with bone and lung cancer. Please add her to our prayer chain. They think they caught it early and will be able to treat it with just drugs, not chemo. Her name is Kim.

for the pound, I'll bet the .40 and then some will be gone tomorrow.

Yesterday was 945 calories, 47% fat, 31% protein, 22% carbs. I was up .30, but haven't seen Aunt B for a while. So for week one on Fat Flush, I'm counting post load this round since I would have gained the weight regardless at the Japanese Steak house and maybe even kept more of it had I not had the high protein and fat load day on day two, is 3.9 loss. That's less than round 1 and 2, but better then round 3, 4 & 5.

i dunno....i think he just needs to get and stay hydrated...i told him that dehydration can cause nausea too. he tries to eat, but that comes back up. altho, frozen go-gurt (yogurt in little tubes that i freeze like a popsicle) and applesauce seemed to stay down, so will try and get him to eat those again.

so sorry about your sister-in-law. how do they treat without chemo?

ughh...hate it when bernice hides...hope you get a 'visit' soon.

yikes...we will definitely pray for Kim. That's scary. And Noah. Bless his heart.

I am going to go make breakfast and spend some time with God before I start sewing.

Well Bud, I’m going to start my fat fast tomorrow. I plan to do three days (at least) to get me through family lunch on Thursday and hopefully push the losses a little. Although I’ve been enjoying the fruits and veggies, I am looking forward to not being hungry for a while. At this point I’m planning to return to Fat Flush prior to moving to P3.
The Menu:
B – 1 egg + 1 yoke with 3oz avocado
L – 2 Cream cheese muffins
D – Cheese crust pepperoni pizza, 1 cup lettuce, 2 T Caesar dressing
1105 calories
83% fat
12% protein
6% carbs
I have cocoa covered clouds and brazil nuts for backup snacks, if I need them.

Hope the scale fairy treats you well in the morning. How’s our little trouper doing?

mmmm, fat fast! looks good! i just wish there was a bit more volume with FF's, ya know?

i am down 0.8

i had a menu planned out, but of course that changed. got into the beef jerky and butter. i could live on that, you know.... i'm sure i was over my 800, but am happy to be down 0.8.

noah's better...planning on going to school today. he was able to eat yesterday and keep the food IN the body rather than out. he even took a spin on his 4-wheeler yesterday afternoon.

enjoy all that fatty goodness! i have my weekly lunch date with my friend today. this calorie constraint thing is terribly inconvenient with life sometimes. :/ will just see how it goes, don't know where we are going yet.

Looks like a very good day on your side of the world. Very happy Noah is feeling better.

I'm up .70 today yesterday was 999 calories, 35%fat 38%protein, 27%carbs. If I wasn't going to make a change already, I would be now. The volume does take a little getting used to, but the high fat is so satisfying, it surprising how doable it is.

Have a great day with your friend!

for me, tho...i like the FF, but i need more protein to stay full. i always thought fat was the key to satiation, but have learned that for me there needs to be more protein.

Morning sweet friends. Up to my ears in net. I taught Merry to double hand pleat yesterday, and she is really a big help. I could use 20 helpers...but the truth is, she is probably more help than 20 of the (not very bright) moms of dancers would be. I have 2 ladies at the studio that *are* really helpful. One is Polish, the other Japanese. The American moms are high maintenance and for all practical purposes, non-functional. :-(

Not sure exactly how this one is going to work out, hoping for the best.

Hope you’re blessed by the scale fairy tomorrow! How’s our boy doing?
