I've been making a strawberry sherbet the last couple of days that tastes great enough to keep forever. I do it in my Vitamix. 2 cups of frozen strawberries, 2 tblsp nonfat cottage cheese, 2 tblsp of vanilla SF Torani and a little extra vanila extract. I blend it and add a little bit of water as I'm going. I have to use the poker thingie with the blender to get the berries down to the blades because it stays really thick. It makes an enormous bowl...and I've been eating it all at once instead of having two separate fruit portions. Since I'm trying not to lose all I could in 3 weeks time, I'm not even counting the cottage cheese...as anything. If it slows me down a little, that's probably good. It's rich, creamy and utterly zingy...and THICK. So awesome.

It's lovely...I like fruity flavored things. I like chocolate and vanilla (separately) really well also. What I'm not crazy about is the chocolate/fruit combination, so that P2 Smoothie irritates me just a little since it's very strawberry under the chocolate. I think I'm going to buy some chocolate Jay Robb to get my chocolate fix in P2. Or skip it....I only have to survive another 12 more days before I can get some cocoa crack going. That's what I really want...dark chocolate.

Good Morning,
Fat Fast is kicking in. Yesterday 1331 calories, 84% fat, 11% protein, 5% carbs - Down 2.4. Puts me .30 from being back in my window. Funny how you keep saying 7-9 lbs above your low, that’s exactly where I am. But you probably knew that. Go Deb! |

Well I had to push my calories to 1660 just to get my fat to 80%, wish me luck! The other scary part is I did it with Cocoa Crack. I gained on it last time, but I wasn't counting calories and I bought a new, higher quality coconut oil.
Have fun on your trip & for a safe and profitable journey!Last edited by TerriMM; 03-14-2012 at 10:10 PM.. |

129.5 .... there's a 2 in my tens column. Don't know when that was last the case. I expect that it may have been when Amy was a baby. Never thought (nor even wanted to) I'd see it again, but there it is. This round has been pretty much exactly like my first with regard to losses. I have a week and half of dosing to complete the round, so will likely start adding protein soon so I don't lose much more. I feel great. I have a doc's appt this afternoon for my normal diabetes blood work. I expect it will be good |

oh yeah! I forgot all about scale pics. So weird...I really never believed that would happen, or even that I'd want it to. I *do* like the difference. My bod is a little more "girlish" now. I certainly don't look scrawny or anything...just more delicate, especially from the back. I kinda dig it

THERE she is!
Hi Deb!Hey I just wanted to give you a headsup on something. You may already know this but there are a lot of studies linking calorie restriction (CR) with anti-inflammatory capabilities. Well, I've been playing on the JUDDD forum for the last couple of weeks in an attempt to stabilize after my last round (I was bouncing all over the dang place!) which seems to be working. One thing that I didn't realize about JUDDD was that some of the earliest studies around alternate day calorie restriction were also related to reducing inflammation. Anyways, to make a long story short, it made me think of you and how you always said that your joints felt better on HCG (at least I hope that was you--if not, BOY will I be embarrassed! ). Just wondering if there is a connection there with the low calories on HCG. In any case, it might be something for you to look into after your last round.Congrats on the super new low, btw! That's fantastic! So happy for you! ![]() Hiya to everyone else too!

HI Shelby (aka: My Hero)
I *have* heard about the VLC/inflammation connection. I talked to my Dr about it when I was doing my 1st round. He said he was pretty sure that it was the HCG that was the biggest factor but that it didn't matter because as a diabetic, he strongly discouraged me from JUDDD. Too few cals (without HCG) can cause problems with regulation of blood glucose. I sure appreciate your thinking of me. I think they really need to do the world a favor and stop looking askance at HCG. It can help people lose weight AND get rid of aches and pains...and that is only one sort of inflammation. My guess is that it would help with lots of other inflammatory processes in the body. Once again, here I am, losing weight and feeling 20, 25..30!! years younger in the process. I know there must be some fabulous benefits for this stuff that the 'establishment' is neglecting for some reason. A real shame! |

Hiya!! I'm butting in on this conversation. I've heard about the antiinflamatory effects of CR. I was so hoping hhcg and CR would help a hip flexor pain I've had for years (makes this 50 yr. old feel very old). As much as I LOVE everything else about hhcg it doesn't seem to have helped in this regard. I've messed around with JUDDD and ESE but I don't think long enough to know if it would help. Maybe when I'm done with this round (going for 40 days) I'll see you around the JUDDD threads. Otherwise I'll just keep reading and seeing how it is helping your aches and pains!!!

j4, I don't use the homeopathic stuff...that is very likely the difference between my experience with HCG and yours. I've used prescription drops from my doctor both times round. I'm older than you are, but during each of my rounds, have felt eons younger.
Today's the same as yesterday, so here's the pic: ![]() |

no...thank YOU...I'm seriously addicted
Re: the gurgles from the coconut manna. Maybe just have a little all along and your tum will accommodate. I have read that about cruciferous vegetables. If you don't eat them, your body won't process them well until it becomes accustomed to doing so. The suggestion is always that they're good enough for you that you should eat tiny portions and increase over time until your GI system is used to processing more fiber. It's likely the same thing with the coconut products since it's such a great source of fiber. |

where'd you get it? I'm off to Whole Foods in a little bit for yogurt and almond butter (for David...not me for another week and a half) and I thought I'd check to see if they have any. They have not had it when I've looked before though.

Good Morning All!!
Get "scale" pic Deb! Very proud of you ![]() Been praying hard for nothing but a great weekend for my Buddy Girl I'm very excited for you!!Well yesterday I was up just a tiny bit but really just wanted a good meal. Made myself 2 eggs scrambled in butter with 1/3 avocado, 1-1/2 cheddar and really enjoyed it. So I just went back to low carb with an EFGT twist. Probably pretty high on the calories, even had a couple glasses of wine, but I gave myself a no count break and I was down today and feeling great with very little temptation to deviate from good food. Today is my first day of P4 and since I'm making Corn Beef and Cabbage for St. Patrick's/Wedding Anniversary dinner, I may have a little red potato with it, haven't really decided yet. But it doesn't feel like a big deal either way. Funny I was glancing over this year so far and shaking my head over how many times I've tried to jump back on P2 and quit. I'm going to try to continue with low carb with possibly an occasional FF if I want until I'm really ready to commit to a minimum 23 day round to get back to 122. Perhaps later in the year when DH travels more. Unless I change my mind of course ![]() Hope everyone has a great weekend!! Happy St. Pat's! |

GET OUT OF MY HEAD!
Not really, I kind of like you in here to play with. ![]() Remember it only takes one great contact to make it worthwhile. It may be a distribution opportunity rather than just retail sales that you're there for. I'll submit my prayer request that God reveals his purpose for you being there sooner than later. ![]() |

Hey Buddy! How was your weekend? Praying the profits and opportunities blessed you!!
My weekend has been a challege. St. Patrick's Day - Corn Beef & Cabbage with 1/4 potato, Wedding Anniversary - A few glasses of wine, Beginning of P4 - 6 (over the course of the weekend) homemade low-carb cookies, Monday after feeling puny - low carb/high fiber granola bars to get me through. My tummy is so upside down, I had to check if there was malitol in them. I didn't weigh in this morning, probably won't tomorrow. Aside from my big bloated tummy I don't really feel like I did a lot of damage, but I don't really know and am a little afraid to find out. It's the beginning of HH week or I might jump back on the P2 train. Plus we have an anniversary dinner out planned with friends Saturday that all celebrate their anniversary in March too. A good thing actually, when I do another P2, I want to do it right. Not start and quit again. I've thought about loading over the weekend and dinner out and starting next week, but I don't know if that’s still too soon. Since HH week is the week before for me, that would mean next week would actually be The week. I’m not sure if that really makes a difference. It would give me a nice long run before next HH week. What are you thinking? ![]() |

hey, terri! ahh, my weekend. let's just say the best part about my weekend was the time i got to spend with my sister and her family. sunday was no better than sat. sales didn't even cover 1/4 of my very expensive booth. BUT it is what it is and i'm not going to dwell on it or get upset...it won't change anything. i got an order from my big wholesale account right before i went to MN plus got a few website orders while i was up there, so am happy about that. all will be well...
i, however, did step on the scale. most scary number i have seen in a long time. i'm just jumping in with hcg. no loading, it just makes me feel even yuckier. sneaky dh has been doing hcg while i was gone and is down 11. TOM started sunday morning so i have a good 10-12 days till MY HH starts so i'm wanting to get some good VLCDs in before having to ride out water gain from that.so sorry about your tummy...hope it is feeling better. maybe it will be better to wait till HH is over so you're not having to eat VLC with lesser losses from HH? |

Yeah, last time I started during HH week because DH was ready. The first week losses were not so great because of it and they never caught up. Very disappointing, so I'll wait until at least next week. During doesn't seem to really be an issue for me, so I'm still thinking about loading, and by that I mean enjoying my dinner out low carb style and very low carb the rest of the time, and then starting Monday.
What's going to be your WOE? Sorry about the disappointing weekend. Very nice you were at least able to spend some quality time with your sister! |
