Way to go Cristen!!

I woke to a gain which was no big surprise b/c I caved to my cravings and ate last night... AND was greeted by TOM THREE days early. So I'll have to get my act together and stick with protocol for another 10-14 days until it passes and I have a couple normal days of VLCD without TOM. Oh well... Gonna take a break from the scale for a while then resume weighing when TOM is over and I'm almost ready to conclude this round.

Tonight I'm singing a solo while one of my Piano Students accompany me... I'm praying I will NOT cry... I'm so proud of her for stepping out of her comfort zone and being willing to do it. When she learned this song a couple weeks ago I knew it would be fabulous for tonights service with the missionary speaking. When we practiced this morning she told me she wasn't even nervous. She is in 6th grade and is on her 3rd year of lessons with me. I so proud of her for being willing to use her music skills to be a blessing to others!

Have a great day everyone!

Woo Hoo Cristen! Great Job!!

Glad your doggie is starting to eat again J4Christ. My Brandy got so she could hold out forever for the treats. Her last few years she got to where I think she was eating more treats than food. Who trained who?

Sounds like a wonderful evening Shirley, hope it goes great!

Well Bud that is one fine looking young trouper you have there!!! I hope the hair stays. But at the very least, now he has the confidence it will come back. Hope your party was great today and the scale is kind tomorrow.

Today I was up .50, still below my LDW. With that and the fact I worked in the yard all day, I’m fine with it. I gave myself permission not to journal today. I believe I ate well and kept to the plan. I’m trying to train myself to be able to live without counting every morsel, and be stable. My biggest victory was not having any of the Girl Scout cookies DH bought. I made my favorite new treat instead, I call them Nutty Buddies. They’re pretty darn easy, satisfying and 81% fat. I basically melt one package of Sugar Free Chocolate Chips in the microwave for 2 minutes, stir in a mixture of coarsely chopped nuts, spoon into cupcake papers to form patties about 1/2-3/4” thick and chill. Tonight’s recipe:
1 package sugar free chocolate chips
1C Brazil nuts
1C Almonds
1C Macadamias
1/2C Walnuts
1/2C Sun Flower seeds
1/4C Pumpkin seeds
Chop, melt, mix & chill. The batch made 34 good size pieces about an ounce a piece.
121.30 Calories
10.9 grams Fat
2.52 grams Protein
6.27 Carbs
4.64 Fiber
1.63 Net Carbs

DH is on the road early tomorrow so he asked for 2 boiled eggs and 2 boiled egg whites to go. This left me with two extra egg yolks that I mixed with an extra egg and some mayo for me. I also made myself a fresh batch of cream cheese muffins and I have the makings of cheese crust pepperoni pizza in the fridge so I think I’ll do a Fat Fast day tomorrow.
Good evening everyone!

that's awesome you are below LDW...i hope EFGT is you sticket to uber stableness!!

the ahem..."daytona" party was fun. with the one minor snafu of NO RACE!! lol...it got rained our and is supposed to run today at noon. i enjoyed myself. now to really test myself and this maintenance thing. i was up 3.8 after yesterday...mostly water i know. but this puts me over 5 out of the top of my window (sunday morning i was up 1.2). so i will just do DD's every other day and be super mindful on my UD's focusing mostly on LC on UD's. i have always thought that carbs never bothered me. but i realized they DO...which i'm kinda sorta glad of. but it's hard to describe how they make me feel....my person gets tender to touch...lol...best way i can describe it...to push on my arms, abdomen, boobs....just is tender...quite strange and i have noticed it after having paid no attention to the amount of carbs i have eaten ie: eaten a lot of them. so, am looking forward to a good DD today to see how i do with this maintenance living.

I think I know what you mean. Like your skin just hurts? I've felt that before too, but not for a long time. Next time I'll have to consider the possible carb link.

Well I'm up .90 today. Not really sure why, so just going to chalk it up to normal fluctuation. Good thing I have a FF planned for today. Since I got up late, especially glad everything is pre-prepared.

yeah...like my skin hurts, but is deeper than that. it was REALLY pronounced and quite painful the weekend of mom's wedding when i was just eating whatever. so i definitely think it's carb related as that's the only time i have noticed it.

DD has gone well today. coffee with hwc this morning....then nothing till the 1 or 2 and then i had a 50 calorie, no sugar added hot cocoa in coffee with a little half and half added for a total of 80 cals. then a little bit ago i had a few bites of PB. ella picked subway for our monday night out. i will probably just get whatever soup they have. not getting a salad again, that's for sure.

how's your day been?

FF is a little harder today. Don't know if it's no HCG for hunger control or I've just gotten accustomed to eating more calories lately, probably both. I’ve added a couple nutty buddies, some pork skins and a SF jello I hadn’t planned on so far, so will try to cut back on something else tonight. Someone brought in a giant red velvet cake and put it in the lunch room, and then I found a piece of stray Dove Chocolate on my desk from my slip last week so it’s just kept food on my mind. But all and all I’ve only got 50 minutes to go and I’m out of here.

You’re doing great! Good luck at Subway. Soup sounds like a good choice.

oh, bummer...sorry you're having a bit more hunger.

the soup at subway was tomato garden vegetable w/ rotini. didn't sound good. so ella got hers to go and I got a bunless big Mac (330 cals) at mcd's and we ate in the car.

That'll work. I've never done a bunless at McD's. Do they do lettuce wrap or knive & fork it?

The good news 82% fat, 11% Protein, 6% Carbs
The bad news 2005 calories

The bad news - Nutty buddies are supposed to be an occasional treat, not a reward for resisting the red velvet cake, the dove chocolate, the glass of wine with DH and then another for good measure.
The good news - I did resist all those things.

Hope the whoosh fairy remembers she likes higher calories

I think I'll prep a day for tomorrow that can go traditional EFGT or EFGT with FF percentages. I'll decide the direction when I see the scale.

Have you ever checked Fit Days percentages? When I calculate my nutty buddies with the standard formula 10.9 X 9÷121.30 calories, I get 81% fat, but fit day says 74%. Big difference. Am I missing something?

On a whole other subject, do you have any Carl's Jr.s there? They have a low carb $6 burger that can't be beat. In fact they'll make any sandwich with lettuce wrap so you can eat it with your hands. A favorite on P2 is the southwest chicken minus the sauce and cheese for 200 calories.

Hoping the scale is kind to you tomorrow, but I have every confidence it will be.

Sorry to intrude, but I just love reading about your journey's. Terri, I'm sitting here reading your post and all I can think of is "Nutty Buddies - Little Debbie Snacks". I even did a search on the net for it and all it brought up was Little Debbie. Will you please share what these are? Thanks so much!

i have not stuck your recipe in to mydailyplate...i can tho. to see what it says.

sooo, am down 3.2 after my good DD. i just felt AWFUL all day yesterday. but i'm ok with that as i'm hoping it was the carbs to give me incentive to only have a desire to splurge like that on occasion. ya know?

will try and keep it a modest UD as i'm sure the scale will bounce up a little, i just don't want to go up too much. so far just coffee w/ hwc. not sure what else today. i'm thinking some of my pancakes for breakfast....made with carbquick and coconut flour.

def hoping the whoosh fairy remembers she likes higher cals. you did awesome resisting all that! well done!

noah has a 4 week checkup with his radiation oncologist today. it'll be fine...he's had no problems whatsoever.

6.7g - 16.2% carbs (4.8 net)
3.07g - 7.4% protein

Well not so much, up .10. Oh well I'm not going to stress over it. I'm still well in my window, just a little disappointed. I'm not really sure what I'm having today. Probably just traditional EFGT.

It's funny how subjective calorie, fat, etc. counts can be depending on where you look them up.

Congrads on your nice drop. Hope it sticks. Hope you feel better today. No fun having the carby ickies.

Big for a very positive appointment for Noah today!

Yeah, that's what I mean about different calories, fat, etc. from different sources. I think your numbers make more sense based on the scale results.

I think I'm going to just focus on good healthy food for now. I'm going to absolutely not do any sugar or starch for the remainder of P3 and avoid processed food whenever possible. About another 2-1/2 wks. I'm going to lean towards the EFGT percentages. As long as I'm in my window, I'm just going relax a little more so I don't burn out my attitude. I'm not going to worry about reining in my calories but I'm not going to push them either (as long as it pleases the fairy )

I've eaten less so far today of about the same foods, maybe a little higher in protein, but feel much more satisfied. I think it has something to do with that silly little "living" thing we were talking about, instead of "dieting".

How you doing today? What's the doc have to say?

glad to hear you are feeling better.

dr went fine. they are all so nice there and just gush all over Noah.

I am good. had all my cals in for the day by lunch. oh well. not at all hungry so other than dealing with mental hunger...just want to eat b/c you know it will taste good thing...I am fine and even the mental thing isn't too bad.

DD tomorrow but am having lunch with a friend. will just do my best.

Well it was kind of a strange day. I ended up with close to the same calories 1936 compared to 2005. The percentages were higher in protein and lower in fat. 73F 20P 7C compared to 82F 11P 7C.

I felt so much more in control and satisfied. And I just felt better in my own skin. Not sure if it was attitude or what. Will be interesting to see what the scale has to say about it.

So what is your calorie limit on an up day? How did you determine it?

Good luck with lunch tomorrow. I'm a little nervous. I planned a retirement luncheon for someone at work next week and they're serving Black Forest Brownies. And we know Brownies are not my friends, but they are so my favorite.

so good to hear you felt better mentally. i love that. i too felt much more in control. i only ate breakfast and lunch and ended up with around 1774. my UD totals (for when i track...would love to not have to to track everyday) are like 1642 - 1882. i just use the cals given me by mydailyplate based on my age, height, weight, activity level. i have used activity level as "light" even tho i'm not doing any formal exercise, just accounting for being on my feet all day at the shop and there are days i am up and down the stairs a bit. the 1642 is for 'sedentary'. if i use 'light' activity, i get 1882. (these cals are to maintain my my weight...on DDs i eat 400-800 cals, so still eating at a deficit over a 2 day period). so i keep my cals between those 2 numbers.

not sure what cals will be today. depending on what i end getting at lunch, that may be my only meal for the day.

so, today's weight was down 0.8 after and UD which is unheard of! i think a lot of it has to do with the fact that i didn't eat anything after noon yesterday. so will basically have a near 24 hr fast by the time i eat lunch today. if i can sustain the don't eat after lunch thing and continue to see losses after UDs, i may continue that to get me down closer to the lower end of my window. as long as i have a nice high fat/protein lunch, i think it will be fine as i didn't get even a twinge of hunger till 6-7 o'clock yesterday and by the time i went to bed my tummy was growling, but i kind of like that. just will have to work thru the mental, i just want to eat thing if i continue this. sitting 1.6 outside the top end of my window, so am getting there.

Very nice to have a drop after your UD! I think the not eating after lunch did do you a service.

Well I'm down 1.6. Can't explain it, but I was sure feeling it yesterday.

What a great way for us both to face the day!
