There's a few newbies, including myself.

You are in inspiration to me! Your attitude is amazing. I hope I can be as determined as you.

Welcome back! You're only one day behind me.

It's been over a year since my last round, but if I remember right we used to call week 2 the 'dreaded week 2' because all kinds of crazy inconsistencies can be expected then. Also, the first week is usually daily losses and then after that it's not uncommon to loose .5 every other day, expecially if you're getting close to your lowest healthy weight. Also, if you've been at a certain weight for a long time (set point) those can be hard to break through.

It's not important to eat your melba if you don't want it or your two servings of fruit, but you should try to get your calories as close to 500 as possible, so add extra veg to make up for it. I'm not eating the melba at all because I'm mildly reactive to gluten. Keep it up, you're doing great!
Thanks Leona! I want to be lean like your avi--now that's an inspiration!

I am so DONE! But I need to keep on for one more week, me thinks... what is 6 more days when I've been on this for 29, right?? The problem is that I didn't set a goal for this round, so now I am waffling all around, trying to decide what my LDW will be. I know I have one more round after this, but happily staying at this LDW weight for 16 weeks may be a challenge...
That's what I say! You're so close like me--we gotta keep going.

I will confess that I didn't bother to go through P3 and P4; so I'm sure that's a big part of the reason I didn't keep it off! I'm going to abide by the rules this time though. It really sucks to have to relose all that weight again, and THEN keep moving that scale back down toward goal. If I would have just kept it off the first time, I could just start from where I was. I lost nearly 50 pounds last time, but I wasn't anywhere near goal. I still needed to lose 50 more pounds! Now I have to lose 80 pounds!

Do you ladies set mini goals for each round? I haven't done that before. I might do that.
You are totally not alone. I will say though, if you follow the rules during P3 P4 you definitely will maintain your weight this time. I maintained my WL during Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas! I love having a protocol, it really works!

I do mini-rounds. I make my goals in 20 pound increments!

I did PERFECTLY on my first round, and I think I have super powers, and have tried to do what I want and still expect the same success, so this round has been horrible. Back on protocol, following my book EXACTLY...I also made myself go the 40 days instead of 23 as the "punishment." You can stay on track, but it is definitely a head game. That's where it all starts and ends! Hang in there, and mucho LUCK!

I understand how you feel. I've lost and gained weight so often, but I maintained during the HOLIDAYS using the HCG protocol!

I seesaw and then drop 3-5 lbs after a few days...stall or even gain a few points of a pound....then lose a few more. Is that normal?

I am also having a hard time taking in everything. I try...but totally not usually hungry. Is it ok if I am not getting in my second fruit? I am going to try to add my apple into my meal at lunch and then do the strawberries before i tuck in for the night. I don't always eat my melba rounds...I try to reserve them just in case I get to a day where I am hungry I can have my two servings for the day...other days i skip them altogether. Is that bad?

Sorry for all the questions....just very unsure of myself in the beginning. Also, how do you get the weight tracker on the bottom where your signature would show up???
Thanks for the support and patience while I learn the ropes!
Hi Ice cream junkie (cute name), Well I think like others have said week 2 can be pretty hard, I just hope I come out of my rut pretty soon. My last round i dont remember week 2 being this hard! I never eat my melba toast and I think that is fine, I also skip my 2nd fruit most of the time. I just try to make sure that you stay close to 500 cal for the day, that is what is important.

As far as Walden Farms- LOVE the stuff. I like the caramel dip with my apples, I use the salad dressing as dressings and sauces. They have not caused me to gain at all. I used them on my 1st round and had no troubles. So i am sure that they are fine. I have several friends who have done HCG who used a lot of Walden Farms too with out any problems.
I really like to use Miracle noodles also.

Ok, after wracking my brain and searching all over the site and my user info...I finally see a faq about sigs. I clicked the link and it said I didn't have permission to have a signature for my posts. Do you have to have so many posts in order to get a signature? Totally bummed! I wanted a tracker! It is great motivation to be able to move the ticker!

Hi everyone! Just checking in... I'm down to 172! And finally the hunger is subsiding. Eating apples is such treat that I'm worried it will impede weight loss. Had a granny smith for breakfast and a Fuji oh-so-sweet apple for dessert. Over 20 carbs each... Hopefully it will all be ok.

Everyone is doing so great! Let's keep it going gals!

Down 1.4 this am. Started spotting yesterday went to the acupuncturist and now it's gone away yay. I know tmi but I had to share some peeps might have the same issue. Helped me sleep too.

So the yummy p3 recipes include... pork green chile verde, creamed spinach, sausage and pork roast in tomato sauce, shredded beef, crustless quiche.... and many more. Hey maybe I will start a p3 recipe guide post? I'm a really good cook and I promise these recipes will knock your socks of and keep you occupied for at least 4 weeks. All completely legal. When I think of low carb I like to use the usual foods I would eat normally and tweak them a bit instead of trying to make stuff out of unusual products. We've all seen some pretty wacky recipes in here and I've made some and they wind up in the garbage lol.

Happy losses,
Lara

Down 2.0 this morning! Loving the whoosh, and mentally I really needed it! ALMOST back to my pre-cheat weight of 188.5 (I'm at 190.0 this a.m.).

It seems to me I lose when I eat beef. I've gone back and looked at my calendar and I definitely see a trend. How interesting...

Have a great day and LOSE LOSE LOSE!

MOrning girls, thanks for the welcome C'Marie... I am hoping for a good round. Trying to keep my head on straight, so after 2 VLCDs (or almost fasting days that they were really) down another 3.8, for 10.6 in 2 days.. Oh if only I was not up that much before... Thats okay, my legs are feeling better without some of that bloat and TOM is fully underway, so hopefully a bit more of a swoosh will follow with that too (or could have been part of the already swoosh)...we will see. Hope you all have a nice HUMP day...

Good Morning!

Yesterday was day 10 and a tough day. I just had to force myself to eat my dinner, not that I wasn't hungry, just sick of P2 food already. I'm hoping it passes. I decided I'd eat eggs for lunch for something different I think I'll check out the P2 recipes thread for some ideas.

I'm down 1.4 today, very happy about that.

I'm so happy to read all of your posts. It helps to read everyones struggles and successes!

I am on R2P2 VLCD 14 so today is the end of week 2 for me. I thought week two was gonna be a big flop for me since by yesturday i had only lost 1.2 lb total for the week, since I yoyo'd so much. Turns out to be a 3.6 loss for week two! So cant complain. Total loss so far on R2 is 10.6, Hope I can keep the momentum going!!!

Goodbye friends! I'm off to the P3 thread today. Keep on track and make every choice a good one!

(I was 176.8 today, smack dab on my LDW, and I have lost three inches in the last 3.6 pounds since my previous tally)

I'm down today - 1.4 - seems that number is with 3 of us this morning!
I was sharing with Lilacbruze that I haven't been consistent with my shot times, my water intake (stuck at my desk) or getting anywhere near enough sleep and full of stress - so that may be impeding my losses. But then I get a whoosh anyway. Not sure what to think now! I'm really close to virgin fat territory now!

Gotta lot to do today, gotta get off the computer for now, I'll check n a little later in between appts if I can.

Thanks a bunch, that was me at the end of last round. I was 120. That's my goal for this round, to fit into all that clothes I bought last year and get rid of the ones I'm wearing now, for good!

I did hide my homemade fig balsamic! lol we have a store here that sells uh-mazing olive oils and vinigars....they are pricey so i stay away....but sooooo good!

Do any of ya'll have trouble with benadryl? I take it from time to help me sleep. I was glad to see that week two is known as the dread week! lol...I was beginning to think the ups and downs would go on for 20 days!

How did ya'll add the weight tracker??? I want one! lol
I'm on round 3 and did the same thing, only with rice vinegar. Seriously, I should know better! First two days losses were kinda small, now I think I know why.

Thats okay, my legs are feeling better without some of that bloat and TOM is fully underway, so hopefully a bit more of a swoosh will follow with that too (or could have been part of the already swoosh)...we will see. Hope you all have a nice HUMP day...
Wow, 10 pounds in two days... I wish!

I'm down 1.4 today, very happy about that.

I'm so happy to read all of your posts. It helps to read everyones struggles and successes!

Sorry your having a tough time, I think getting sick of the choices is the hardest part of this. Do check out the recipes, and try some veggies you wouldn't normally eat, radishes perhaps? They totoally loose that radishy flavor when you boil them. I use my small crock pot and place radishes and steak in it with my favorite herbs, turn it on in the morning and in the evening I have yummy faux beef and potato soup. I also do this for the chili. Just an idea.

I'm down 1.8 this morning.

I buggered up with rice vinegar the first two days, didn't even think about it. So embarrassed, I've done this thing before! Oh well, upwards and onwards. I can't believe how great I feel though. My other rounds I was head-achy and hungry, not to mention depressed. This time around I feel amazing! I have more energy than before and feel like myself again. Even my kids have asked me why I'm in such a great mood.

I went to the doc yesterday and they did a body composition...
I am a whopping 33% fat! 1/3 of me! That is technically obese I think... Not for long though. I'm kicking it to the curb!

Here's to us losers!

It seems to me I lose when I eat beef. I've gone back and looked at my calendar and I definitely see a trend. How interesting...

Have a great day and LOSE LOSE LOSE!
I have noticed the same thing in my last round. Every time I ate beef the next morning was a bigger loss than with chicken.

Happy losses,
Lara
