Not trying to be dramatic but I feel like I'm dying
![]() I've felt horrible the last few days. Exhausted, migrainey, achy. I feel like my body is starving! I go up the stairs and get out of breath. I feel so miserable it is all I can do to not go in the kitchen and eat SOMETHING. Last night I went into the kitchen and shoved a piece of banana in my mouth but spat it out in the sink. I don't lnow what came over me. I spent the day on the coach drinking tea and when the baby went down for a nap I took a hot bath and napped. For dinner I grilled a 95% lean burger with mustard and tomato on lettuce for dinner hoping that the beef would help me feel a little better and it helped a little but still wanting to raid the kitchen! On day 5 of vlcd praying this will pass. Any words of encouragement would really help right now!! ![]() |

After doing quite a few rounds, I've learned that I do better eliminating the melba/breadstick/wheat product stuff, and most of the fruit, and eating more protein. I eat beef every day, and I eat 4-6 ounces of whatever protein I'm having. I feel better, and I lose just as well. Maybe you need to reconfigure a little?

First off, let's review the basics - you are doing homeopathic or Rx? If you are doing homeopathic, does your bottle indicate you actually have a homeopathic solution of hcg in it, on the ingredients? Does it say hcg homeopathic solution 6x 12x etc? If you are doing Rx, what's your dosage? You should not be that hungry still. We would like to help but need more info.
Spread your allowed food out more, if you can. If you still need something extra, add a little protein of one of the allowed choices. Drink broth made from the allowed chicken or beef or fish, and up your veggies a bit. Make sure you are at least getting the 500 calories allowed.

I am sure your body is just detoxing. It should pass, but you may just need some supplements. It is suggested that if you are on hcg and feeling icky, you take potassium and B12. That should help a lot!!! You can also do magnesium. I do all those supplements on P2 and it really does help me. Because of all the water lost on this plan you have to replace the minerals that are lost. Hope you get to feeling better soon!!
ETA: I also believe you NEED to eat all your allotted food/calories. I eat both fruits, both melbas, my 2 proteins and my 2 veggies. Well, sometimes I skimp on the veggies but am trying to do better. I hate the allowed veggies without butter or salad dressing LOL

I felt that way my first week too. By day 5 I thought I was going to die. I ate off plan a felt a lot better. When I looked back to what I ate that week I realized I was way under 500 cal. I wasn't eating my fruit and I don't eat the melba (no control with that), but I wasn't making up the calories for those things. So adjusted my menu and have felt much better since. HTH
Like Dawm said it could also be detox. I also started taking B12 and potassium and I think that helped too.

I am so relieved to know I shouldn't be feeling this way! I could not go a month like this even though I am looking good
Sorry, I gave you no info! I am on hcg injections. Last week I had a B12 injection. Monday I had an IV with B, C, magnesium and I forgot what else was in there. I have K drops but haven't been taking full dose due to it making me nauseous in the beginning but can easily up those back to full dose again. I can't increase my hcg dosage because I have pre-filled syringes. I have a doctor's appt this afternoon but seriously didn't know if I was going to make it through last night without going savage and eating everything in the kitchen! |

I wouldn't suggest UPPING your hcg Rx dosage - actually maybe decreasing it. Simeons said 125-200 max, and many doctors, not wanting to have to "tweak" dosages for people, just start people at 200, and for many of us, that's too much. My sweet spot is around 150-160. If your syringes have 200iu loaded, then just don't inject all of it and see if it helps. Your body, your choice, no matter what the doc says.

Yes, do experiment with LESS hCG, not more. I do 125 iU and that is plenty! No hunger, good losses. More than that could cause me some serious problems.

What does your Dr think you should do? Seems like he/she is providing all the shots and suppliments you've been getting. Tell the Dr how horrible this is going for you and see what he/she wants to do next. You can't go on like that. Nobody should feel like you're feeling on HCG. Something is very wrong.

![]() Thank you, everyone, so much for your support! I wouldn't have gotten through this week without this board. First of all I must have turned a corner because I feel FANTASTIC!! I went to the doctor's today and they agrreed I shouldn't be feeling this way. They upped my hcg dose from .175 to .225 just 4 units. They also gave me a shot which they said they give everyone one every week of b vitamins, magnesium and amino acids Then they upped my daily K drops and gave me an herbal mixture to curb hunger and give me energy...basically they covered all the bases. I haven't taken the herb supplement or the new dose of hcg yet so wondering if it was the shot that helped me turn the corner. Te doc seems to think it is a bad detox even though I have eaten clean for the past year. She said that the fat stores toxins and when the fat is released the toxins are as well. She may ave something there because when the fat was put on I certainly was not eating cleanly!! I am also wondering because as I type this I am starting to get that same headache back that the powedered cocoa is what is giving me the headache. I haven't had it in a while and I had somer tonight. I do have to say I ate like a queen today! I made this awseome soup for lunch that I could barely finish so at dinner I still had two fruits, a veg, and a protein left and a melba too! I made this awesome asian orange sauce over grilled fish and mased up cauliflower as my "rice" to put under it....thnak you all of those years on atkins!! I found out I don't like blue hake so I only took a bite of the fish but the rice and sauce were AMAZING. So later for dessert I made a "chocolate cheesecake" with warm strawberry sauce. Cocoa, stevia, cottage cheese in a blender until smooth. Then microwaved frozen strawberries to put on top and they made their own "sauce" srtawberries were sugar free but had just the right sweetness for the cheesecake. I keep telling the doc they ought to have a chef do the recipes and not a dietician! The ones she did are terrible Anyway I'm getting to bed...thanks again everyone!! |

beachbaby4, so glad to hear you are feeling better! During my first round, I was hungry for the first 10 days. Didn't feel overwhelmingly exhausted, however. (That has started to happen after I've been on the VLCD for over 2 weeks!)
I hope you find great success with this amazing program. Definitely utilize your doc if you have trouble, if you are getting your hCG from a physician. |

Yup still going strong and feel great! I am having a lot of fun creating new dishes. Today I did an apple day though. I have been perfect on plan but scale not budging.
![]() Kinda enjoying the apples though. They are filling, I don't have to worry about what to eat and when, and no worries about drinking enough. Now gearing up to get through my birthday tomorrow without eating cake. Then my trip to san diego next week still on p2......gonna be a challenge! Already planning out strategies! In-n-out burger no bun, no fries, no cheese. Dungeoness crab at Joe's......don't know what I am going to do about that one ...... Dinner at George's should be ok. Other than that I am winging it! |

It could be hypoglycemia, or immunity... did they take your blood sugar at the dr?
