I have some CO questions. I tried it a while back and gained on it . I made crack, which was delicious. I think I may have eaten too much of it?

Anyway, I'm starting P3 and have read so much good stuff about CO I want to try it again. But I'm scared.

Have you guys gained from it at all? What portions do you try to stick to? Should I try it? Maybe wait a week into P3? Thanks!

Julie, I have no problems with CO. I do try to follow Shelby's advice about having similar numbers for fat and protein grams at the end of each day (not percentages, but actual number of grams) and as long as I do that, I don't seem to have any problems with how much I eat of anything. I can eat a fair number of carbs that way...and LOTS of calories.

Diva- can you refresh my memory on Shelby's advice? You're keeping the number of grams for both protein and fat the same each day? And stable? Looking for ideas as I start my last p3 tomorrow (I hope!!!). Thx!! I'll probably wait a few days to add the CO. How much do u take daily? 2 TBS seems popular.

Yep, that's what I'm doing. Just trying to keep those two things in balance. I started P3 the first of Sept and I haven't done a CD. I'm 6 lbs below LDW. The CO thing...just depends on what I want. I like the Coconut Butter (also called 'manna') really well...and eat it out of a spoon. A couple of TBSP would be fine.

STABLE? and NO cd's???
I started p3 on monday...I've gained daily! lol....I don't think my cals were enough at first!

I love coconut everything! I just discovered the manna!

Yep...been solid as a rock from the get-go. I even had a five course dinner with wine pairings at a very chic restaurant in January...my Christmas present from my son who is a chef. I had my CD planned out and ready to go because it was worth it. Didn't need it.

I'm going to get some CO this weekend. I will be adding it on Monday (assuming I'm not at the top of, or out of, my window). That'll get my fat % higher. I'm working my way up to my RMR calories. Still under each day b/c I'm scared!! But, getting up the nerve to add more in.

@Diva: great to hear you are so stable!! Wohoo! Would you mind answering some questions: how many rounds. Have you done? What do you eat in a typical day? How much water do you drink? Are you doing any excercise? How did you got under you liw? Did it just happen? Do you eat fruits and carbs? Sorry for all those questions, I'm just very curios! Oh and sorry for my english, it's not my mothers tongue.

Hi Rebecca,

I did one long round (73 days) and one short one (23 days) What did I eat in a typical day on P2? 500 cal, very low fat, very low carb. I drink a LOT of water, in every phase. I do exercise now, but did not do anything but walk/hike in P2. Yes, once I was in P4, I just lost more weight...I didn't do anything at all, it just happened. I eat fruit now, and some carbs. I don't eat sugar...except on rare and special occasions. There is just too much satisfying food and sweet flavors, even chocolate that I can have in a low carb form to need sugar in my life. It makes me feel bad, so I stay away from it. Same with wheat. It is really not good for me, so I don't eat it. It makes my stomach hurt and makes me hungry.

The only thing I really pay attention to these days (besides staying clear of sugars and wheat) is that I keep my fat grams and protein grams fairly close each day. Not the percentages, but the actual grams of protein and fat. When I keep them in balance, I stay very stable.

Also...my HCG was RX. I have some suspicion that my stability is due to that, as much as anything. I have not seen that many people have the same sort of stability after doing hhcg.
