I hear its normal to gain / maintain on the first day. I can't speak for myself because I only weighed in on the 2nd day though
So, it's 10pm on my last day on the FF! 5 days, Im so happy I did this ! I felt awsome today, no hunger and definitely more energy! I went for a 2 hour walk! only 1 meal left for today. I'm so excited to see the number on the scale tomorrow because if I lose 1 more pound Im gonna be the lightest I've been in 2 years (I dieted for a year and got to my lowest weight ever, but right after that was when I gained it all back plus some more)anyway Im super excited to go back to regular low carb anyway, advice for people doing the FF, DRINK A LOT OF WATER! this diet makes you lose a lot of water and you need it for your liver to be capable of triggering the fat burn!! it also helps avoiding hunger!! so do it, I drink like 100oz a day! cya tomorrow with (hopefully) good news! |

hello hello hello!! today the results are.... 2 pounds lost!! Yay!! that means I lost a total of 6 pounds on 5 days on the FF!
Now Im gonna post the meals I had . I mixed them up a little each day to make it different but these are the basics: 1 oz mac nuts (ran out of them on day 4) 1 oz of butter (yes plain butter. I enjoy that a lot actually!) cream cheese 2 egg yolks (hard boiled or scrambled) + enough butter to bring it to 200cal duck paté (which I only ate on the first 2 days, doesn't taste too good for me) on days 3 and 4 I didnt have the eggs. On day 3, I had 2 meals of cream cheese and on day 4 I had 2 meals of mac nuts. and on day 5, instead of the mac nuts I had 2 meals of butter. plus, ~100z of water each day. good luck everyone! it's worth it! |

Look at those results!!! Good going!!! Thank you for sharing your menu. I might just have to try this. 5 lbs would put me back into my jeans that are a bit snug right now. How exciting!!!!!! Now, what are you eating today???? High fat, little protein? How are you transitioning off the FF? |

Morning All,
Congrads LFG!! Great job. Please let us know how the transition to Atkins goes. What to do next has always been my big question. I was a little worried. I ended up with 1906 calories yesterday and only 78% fat, so it was more NK then FF. Down 1.9 ![]() |

thank you all!
Very nice Terri dawnyama and Terri: Today I did Atkins but carefully . very little carbs, and I didn't count the protein nor the calories exactly, but I know it was around 1500cal (wanted to be sure I didn't overdid it) and the fats were definitely there. This is what I had: steak (small) with butter half a cup of cabbage (with olive oil) 2 small pieces of salmon (I think 100g each?) with butter 2 scrambled egg yolks I wanted to be careful with the protein, because sometimes I overdo it and end up having like 3 whole eggs and lean turkey breast and low fat sausages... Today I made sure to give the fats more privilege. I didn't drink as much water as I'd want to because I didn't have the chance really. Also I didn't exercise but I did spend 3 and a half hours on my feet lifting boxes so tomorrow Ill weigh-in and share it. I'm happy even with just maintaining, Im not expecting to keep losing as much as I did on the FF. I just wanna keep the weight off , but without stalling as well for too long. |

I re-created the chocolate cream cheese muffin recipe I posted (I think its on page 1 here) but made a few variations and I have to say I think they were the best yet! I took 2 8 oz packages of cream cheese and melted them on the stovetop; after slightly cooling, I added 1 egg, cocoa powder, and splenda (probably 1/4 cup of each, I didn't measure and just dumped it in, adjust to suit your tastes) - and the magic ingredient - sugar free cappuccino mix! They are seriously delicious! I sprayed a regular muffin tin (with 12 slots) and put equal amounts in each, I think I baked for 12 minutes. They were slightly moist yet and difficult to manuever out of the pan but once they were cooled and chilled they set nicely. Anyway, just another way to eat cream cheese on FF. I'm doing 2 days leading into a rogue HCG round. My menu consists of the chocolate muffins, HWC in my coffee, and I cheated a bit with some scrambled eggs and 2 pieces of bacon. I will be at about 1300 calories but my fats are pretty high.

what do you guys think about exercising during the fat fast? on the first days I was too weak to do that but I know I would be able to on the last 2 days at least. I didn't though because Im not sure if that'll mess up the fast? I mean we have to eat 1000 calories. if we go burn 500 on the gym it's like we only ate 500 , and that wouldn't be enough... or is it ok?

I think the way to find that out is to try it and pay close attention to your body. I did a quick 15 minute bike ride on P2 a few weeks back and nearly passed out on my driveway but during fat fasting... try it and go slow!

I don't usually get in 1000 cals on the FF. Do you guys think I would lose better if I did? Today I'm getting in just over 500 cals. I figure that gives me about the same cals as VLCD, so if I'm using hcg along with 500 cals for my fat fast, I shouldn't have to worry about going into starvation mode, right?

Riley! I have to ask; been watching the rogue hcg information, but what exactly do you do that is "rogue"???? I'm starting another round soon and really interested in a menu and success with your program?

I eat any low carbs veggies I want, up to 4 cups a day and I mix them; I eat slightly larger portions of protein and don't bother with cutting every bit of fat or lean cuts, and I eat turkey and Greek yogurt as well for protein portions; I eat 2 eggs for breakfast; and I allow add-ons like a bit of butter, mayo, cooking oil, peanut butter, HWC. I also allow SF hot chocolate and popcorn. I don't eat fruit or the toast unless I absolutely have to have it. I usually come to around 800 calories a day. I adapted my personal rogue-ness from the Omaha plan. If you do go rogue, still give yourself rules and guidelines because it is easy to veer so far off that you'll eat anything! It worked well for me, made it easier to dine out; I think I lost about the same pace but it's hard to tell because I fell off the wagon so many times last time. I haven't given it an honest effort since last winter; I needed to lost about 10 pounds and it took me about a month? Then I fiddled around so much I only lost another 5 in like another month after that because I kept floundering. If you go to my journal you can read a bit of what I did. It might be a bit confusing to follow but I kept up my menus and weigh-ins pretty well last year. And once again, I fell off the wagon again. My heart just isn't in it. I may give it another honest go around January. |

This is my third day of FF with hhcg. I know that Atkins doesn't recommend more than three days of FF. he says that u will lose too much. Well, I want to lose too much. Is there any other reason why I just shouldn't continue?
I'm not sure how I'm doing because I don't want to weigh until the end of the week. I'm getting in a full 90% fat, thanks to fat bombs, fettuccini Alfredo with shirataki noodles, BP coffee and macadamias. |

Dawn,
This is my third day. The first day I only got in about 500 cals, just BP coffee and some cream cheese with sweetener. The 2nd day I had about 780 cals. Coffee with hwc, fettuccine Alfredo, and then another coffee with hwc in the evening. Today I got in 1040 cals. Coffee with hwc, lemon fat bomb, fettuccine Alfredo, macadamia nuts. It's not much food because the fat calories really add up, but I sure cant eat another thing even if I tried. So full. Also, I've been trying to do this in conjunction with intermittent fasting, so I'm eating only between 12:30-5:30. So I've got hcg, IF, and FF all going at one time. I don't see a need to weigh everyday because even if I needed a correction I don't think I could do anything more drastic than I'm already doing. FF always has worked for me in the past although I don't get as huge losses as some people I know. When I weigh, I will report. I gained about 17 lbs on my planned interruption/cruise vacation, that's why I'm desparate to get back down fast. |

Felina--thank you so much!! I just wanted an idea of how many calories to do on the hcg + a fat fast. I guess you are not shooting for one number LOL. I have the noodles and alfredo with them sound sooooo good right now. I am thinking of doing this between weeks 2 and 3, when things start to slow down. Or maybe once I reach 120. I was very much unable to break through that number last round, no matte what I did. So I will use this later. I am only on day #5 and doing really well. Down 5 lbs so far!!

I weighed today. I just wanted to make sure and the suspense was getting to me. In three days I'm down 9 lbs!!!
I guess I'll continue. I'm still taking my drops. I don't know if I would've done just as we'll without them. I know that I'm so resistant to losing and low calories alone won't do it. I only lost when I combined hcg with VLCD. I also don't think I would've lost this much without it, just not sure about that so I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing at least for now. Besides I have lots of fat bombs in the freezer. |

Dawn, you're starting out great!! Congrats on your losses!! If you decide to do the fat fast make sure your fettuccine recipe is high enough in the fats. I had to tweak mine just a bit.

That's great Riley. I follow Dana too. I have most of her cookbooks and have been a fan since her first "Hold The Toast" book.
I haven't heard anything from her about a FF book, but I don't do Facebook, if that's where she mentioned it. She has a couple of articles about FF on Carbsmart. I have done FF in the past and have used some of Dana's ideas, but this round I'm doing it with hcg. I started it during the first few days of my planned interruption, did well, but then gained a ton on my PI (ate whenever and whatever) because it was a cruise with so much good food. I'm so glad that I could come back and lose it easily eating foods that I enjoy! I'm down another 1.5 lbs today!!! |
