And I love fat. Although I enjoy really good bread once in a while, or pasta, I mostly miss my full fat Fage yogurt and heavy cream in my coffee. And I love mac nuts and tuna salad and avocados. If I could lose weight doing that I'd stop the VLCD today. I'll see where I'm at tomorrow, and if I'm heading for another stall I'm going to give this fat fast a try.

I'm just at such a loss for the first time in over a year of following this diet protocol, and I am willing to try something new to lose my "last 10" (or who knows how much is left). I'm just confused, but willing to try it. |

Garnet -- yes, we are all taking the hhcg while doing this. I've done it many times, and had good success with it -- this whole thing is a big experiment.

Hey fat fast gals,
Thought I'd check in here. I've been doing the fat fast for the last several days.... well, I had 3 good fat fast days and got derailed yesterday. BUT, I'm back on the wagon today. After my first day I lost 4 pounds, then nothing after day 2, and then 2 more pounds after day three. Today after my oops, I'm up 1.5 pounds. Lotsa lemon water and tea for me today to hopefully flush out any water weight and a good fat fast day! BTW- So excited that someone mentioned avocados! I totally need to add that to my fat fast menu... love em! |

Honestly - the fatigue I started feeling towards the last couple of days of my P2 has made me move in this direction - that and I figured what could it hurt here at the end????
I have been so tired of FREEZING when it's 70 outside - and I know that is because my calories have been too low for too long. Maybe perfect Protocol works for some - but I am thinking I am might be one of the exceptions. It was successful for the first 15 days - but then it stopped and got extremely fatigued. What's really weird is I felt so good the first two weeks and it was like I bottomed out during my 3rd week. So, I will do fat fast today, VLCD tomorrow (social function again), fat fast Wed and Thurs. and see where I am at weight wise. I am not sure when I will start P3 but I am due to today technically. I still have a good bit of drops so I may go until I am just out - no sense wasting them! |

The interesting thing is that I didn't feel like this in my last round which was 63 days long. Maybe it's because I'm at goal now???? |

The 21st was fairly similar to the 20th... and the 22nd I screwed up! Today, I'm hoping to keep my fat% closer to 90% and maybe keep my calories a little lower - hope to correct my day yesterday.
The first 4 days I did the fat fast I gave myself a little more wiggle room with calories since I'm nursing two babies. Though, I'm not really sure I believe those people who say you burn more calories when nursing, because I seem to gain weight like crazy when I'm nursing unless I do some serious dieting! |

Did I make a mistake? This is how I calculated it. 4 eggs = 360 (I use 90 cals for eggs, I see so many varying amounts!) 4 tbsp of fats (butter, mayo) = 400 2 muffins = 230 7 almonds = guesstimated around 30 So 1020 for the day. A little over but ahhh well! Today I am subbing on tbsp of butter/mayo for another cheesecake muffin. And no almonds. So I will be right around 1000 again. May do one more day, just depends on how I feel and what food I have prepared. I have stuff to make P2 chilli so will probably do that sometime this week and eat on that for a few days.

Interesting, I'll be following this thread too. Do you have a rebound effect after coming off the fast? I've read where some gain weight after coming off. Sorry if this has already been answered, haven't had the time to go back and read. Thanks!

Okay it just seemed like so little food but they are big calorie foods! Got it! Isn't it crazy how 4 T of fats can add up to 400 calories!!!

Just finished my first FF meal and here are the totals:
Calories at 595 (100 of those from morning coffee - so the yogurt concoction is 495) Greek Yogurt FF - 280 Almond butter 1 tb - 95 Organic CO 1 tb - 120 Percentages: 79% fat 13% carbs 8% protein Gotta add this: I LOVE ************ app for iphone! It does all this for me. If you have an iphone - it's free and so user friendly! If not I know ****** does the same thing. |

So far my day has been:
3 slices bacon 1.5 T heavy cream in coffee 1 oz macadamia nuts 1 oz sharp cheddar cheese That's 537 calories-- 82.4% from fat, 3.6% from carbs and 13.9% from protein The rest of the day/night I am going to eat 1 chicken thigh with skin on and 1 cup of whipped heavy cream (with SF vanilla syrup) for a total of 1090 calories--84.6% from fat, 2.5% from carbs and 12.7% from protein. Although I REALLY want my yummy full fat greek yogurt again, I don't want the carbs/protein that comes along with it. I'm wondering if that's why I didn't lose that much today. That's why I'm subbing whipped heavy cream for it this evening for "dessert"

I am SO VERY TIRED today, and the lack of true weight loss in over a week is really demoralizing. I have no idea what I am doing! I keep wondering if I should just stop the hCG before the 21 day mark, wait two days and then start this, but I just don't know if I can keep eating so little calories with how I feel. Then I wonder if tomorrow I should just skip the hCG? Well apparently, I'm just winging it at this point! We'll see how tomorrow goes. |

I am not sure if it is the eggs or the HWC but something gave me killer tummy cramps all morning
I have been thinking for a while that I might have an issue with dairy. I am so so bloated too. I won't be surprised if I see a jump UP in the scale tomorrow since most of my fat fast day is dairy. So far I have had 3 eggs in coconut oil, coffee with HWC and 2 tbsp peanut butter. I was going to do a bunch of cream cheese and more HWC tonight but maybe I should do chicken instead....I just don't feel like cooking. Do you think one of those pre-made chickens would be okay for the fat fast?

I get the big "D" the first day of all my P3's. I do believe it is because we are now eating fat and the body takes a day or two to be able to handle it.
I'm starting this fat fast tomorrow, so I'm going to be prepared for runs to the bathroom! (I originally said "bathroom runs"! TMI?) |

I'm on FF day #1. So far I'm measuring my Light Whipping Cream as I add it to each cup of coffee. (Apparently I add about 1 T when I'm not measuring) and I ate the skin off of one rotisserie chicken (forgot to buy a muffin pan when I was at the store.) Will make Jalapeno Poppers for dinner and call it a night. I'm using ****** to log everything in. I'm estimating my fat percentage will be about 82% and calories will be around 1,000.Good luck to us all! And let's not hold Mini responsible if it doesn't work for us. ![]()
