I looked up the So Delicious coconut yogurt...the ingredient label makes me reticent to give it a try:
ORGANIC COCONUT MILK (WATER, ORGANIC COCONUT CREAM), CHICORY ROOT EXTRACT, ORGANIC DRIED CANE SYRUP, RICE STARCH, PECTIN, TAPIOCA DEXTROSE, ALGIN (KELP EXTRACT), MAGNESIUM PHOSPHATE, TRICALCIUM PHOSPHATE, LOCUST BEAN GUM, LIVE CULTURES, GUAR GUM, MONK FRUIT EXTRACT, VITAMIN D-2, VITAMIN B12. I don't want anything to do with the added sugars and starches. 22 carbs per serving/9 fiber is kind of high for "Plain" Greek yogurt. Their plain regular yogurt has fewer total carbs but more "sugars" and a similar list of added ingredients. Have you tried it and been ok, Carrie?

I'd like to know if anyone has tried making Coconut yogurt...I know it is supposed to work well. That would be an option to get a plainer plain

i used a can of coconut milk along with half and half and whole milk...i had to throw it out. it was all grainy. if you use just coconut, you'll need to buy a starter. |

Ok--so I'm starting a fat fast today on R3P2D8--and a wee bit nervous about it. The first and last time I did a FF was the last 3 days of my last round and then I went right into P3. I only lost 2oz after the first day and then stayed the same the next two but I was ok with that since I was actually below what I think my ideal body weight is. I was 168.2 today so we'll see what happens over the next few days.
I can't really do a lot of dairy so this might be a bit tough but I'm already SO tired of the fat free food on P2--anything is better than that crap LOL Starting off the day with 1 piece of beautiful thick cut bacon from Whole Foods and 2T of organic heavy cream in my coffee (200 calories).

Hi Nicole,
I did Fat Fast during my last round and did great. I usually don't lose as much the first day as the second and third. The only problem I had was I didn't know were to go from there. Are you going back to protocol? I think I'm going to do it again this week. I have an engagement Thursday and I think I can do Fat Fast easier then my rogue form of protocol. I also think it might help amp up the loses. Please let me know how you do and especially what you move to after and how that works out for you. Question: You can't do dairy but you can do heavy cream in your coffee? Can you do cream cheese? If so how about the cream cheese muffins? |

Well Nicole, I'm joining you on the fat faster's bench tomorrow. I've actually been enjoying all the fruit a veggies this round (which is probably why my losses are only half decent
). But it doesn't take much of a slow down to make me realize how tired I am of being hungry and remember how well I lost on fat fast. I've been doing Fat Flush this last week and am down 3.9, not too bad, but not great for first week losses. I think I'll do Fat Fast for three days (or so) and then go back to Fat Flush and see how this week compares. Thanks for the Clouds reminder Metqa. I've wanted to try those. I just happen to have all the ingredients for Bark covered clouds. I think I'll make a batch tonight for tomorrow. I already copied your cloud recipe. Care to share your favorite bark recipe. Haven't been overly impressed with the couple batches I've tried. ![]() |

there should be a dedicated fat fast recipe thread!
I'm thinking I might do one tomorrow, possibly the next day as well, I'm being impatient! I keep seeing "clouds" referred to, even in other threads, and I am...embarassingly...too lazy to dig in the thread for them. hahaha! |

We've got room on the bench for you Star, come on over.
I dug for Metqa’s recipe last night. Here it is, plus the recipe for the cream cheese muffins I made last night, a little higher in fat than the standard ones. CREAM CHEESE CLOUDS 8 ounces cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened 1/2-3/4 cup granular Splenda or equivalent liquid Splenda * 1/2 teaspoon vanilla or other flavoring Beat everything with an electric mixer until fluffy. Drop by bite-size spoonfuls onto a wax paper-lined baking sheet. Freeze until firm, at least 1 hour. Store in the freezer and eat frozen. Makes 24 clouds * I didn't think they were quite sweet enough with 1/2 cup so I used liquid Splenda to equal 3/4 cup granular. The counts are based on 3/4 cup Splenda. I use caramel Davinci to make caramel clouds, I use a pastry bag to pipe them out into little mounds, and then freeze them, and meanwhile I make a batch of cocoa bark syrup in a glass. I remove each frozen cloud from the tray, poke a toothpick into the bottom, and dip it into the cocoa bark syrup. It hardens into a shell (or you can just grab one end of the cloud and dip half in the syrup) Another variation is to use lemon juice or True Lemon powder in half of the batch, and flavor the other half with a fruit flavor like Raspberry/strawberry/Pomegranate. The using the pastry bag to pipe out the pink flavored clouds, the fill the bag with the lemon flavor, insert the tip in the center and pipe the lemon into the center. Put them back into the freezer to finish setting up. They are a nice creamy treat that no longer tastes like plain boring cream cheese. Mini Cheesecake Cupcakes Average Rating 9.0 Description: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Have 5-6 cupcake holders place on baking tray Ingredients: 1 Package Philadelphia Cream Cheese 1 Egg 1/4 Cup Heavy Cream 2 Tablespoons Vanilla 4-5 packets of Splenda Almonds to top, use as many as you like. How to Prepare: Have all ingredients at room temperature. Mix everything together except almonds in bowl. Make sure mix has no bumps in it and that it has a smooth texture. Place mixture in each cupcake holder then bake in oven for 20-30 minutes. Keep checking these while they bake as some ovens cook quicker than others! After time is up remove them from oven let them cool completely then place in fridge for overnight then top with almonds. |

ahhh, the cheesecake muffins, that's another one I was looking for.
I'm a FF vet, but it's like my brain goes "OH, WE'RE BACK TO NOT FAT FASTING, BETTER CLEAR OUT THIS KNOWLEDGE TO MAKE ROOM FOR INTERNET MEMES, LOL" or something, and I forget what I had, what I ate, and what worked best. ![]() |

Hi all--after my first day of my FF (on day 8 of P2), I lost a pound
![]() Going to stick with it for at least today and tomorrow and see where I am after that. Pretty much eating the same thing I ate yesterday: 2T heavy cream in my coffee 2 slices of VERY thick cut bacon from Whole Foods 1 oz macadamia nuts 1 avocado with 2 egg yolks mixed with 1 1/2 T of mayo 1 round of cocoa-crack--STILL can't find a recipe that doesn't have an aftertaste to me--even using the KAL stevia ![]() This was about 83% fat for the day and must have been pretty good since I lost a pound |

My cocoa bark recipe is the simplest plain one. No mix in's. I'm boring. just coconut oil, cocoa powder, a splash of vanilla and enough sweetness to not be bitter ( equal about 8t sugar)

I like to toast and throw in some ground almonds to my bark. adds a neat consistency and hides any grittiness if I'm lazy and don't melt my erythritol properly.

Do you powder your E? I have a coffee grinder that does a great job of powdering those crystal sugars.

After my 3 days of FFing I lost 2 lbs! I am VERY happy with that considering that this is usually when I hit a major stall in regular P2.
I picked back up with P2 today but will probably do a two day FF on Saturday and Sunday since I'm getting a massage on Saturday and Sunday is Easter so I can at least eat deviled eggs on the FF I would have just staying on the FF but I was seriously craving an actual piece of meat and felt jealous of my boyfriend when he was eating his P2 salad LOL Today was my first day of no hunger--for me it almost always takes until day 10 for the hunger to subside and then it's smooth sailing from there I was 166 even today and would LOVE to get to 160 (the lowest I've gotten is 162). |

Woo Hoo Nicole ![]() First day of FF I was actually up .10. Never happened before. I think it had something to do with cocoa crack and I only had two clouds dipped in it, but my body doesn't seem to like coconut oil My calories were a little high through, 1549 but fat was 87%. Second day I'm down 2 lbs. |

I'm sorry, but I haven't been able to read every rogue post yet. Does anyone still drink diet coke and find it doesn't effect weight loss? I also have trouble giving up Sonic's diet cherry lime aide.

Hi ladies,
I spent all of last evening reading this thread and I've come up with a plan. I really need some opinions on it though so here it is: I reached my goal weight this morning but I still have 6 days of VLCD left, which includes the 3 days without HCG. The problem is I cannot stand the thought of P2 foods anymore - I'd rather not eat at all than eat P2 foods. Apologies for sounding so dramatic but honestly, I've been sticking to protocol to a T this round. Anyways, so I was going to do Fat Fast for the weekend and then start VLCD again on Monday until I move on to P3 on Friday. What does everyone think of this idea? I'm so scared that a Fat Fast is going to make me gain but if I want to successfully do the 3 VLCD without HCG, I need to take a break from P2. I'd love opinions! Thank you! Hi ladies! I've been reading your thread the last few days, and decided to try the fat fast as well. I am in P2, and have completed 10 days, but like always, the losses have slowed down. So yesterday was my first fat fast day, I was able to get it it to 86% fat. I've got to say I was hungry throughout the day..butter just doesn't feel you up! But..this morning I was down 1.5lbs!! So it worked out well! I'm doing a 4 day fat fast, then moving back to vlcd's for a bit. My menu today is at 88%, so I'm hoping it goes well! Thank you all for all of your experience..it has helped me so much!

Have to ask... for someone considering a fat fast to get the scale moving down again in P2, are there side effects? I mean, going from practically no fat and 500 calories/day to mostly fat and 1000 calories/day - it would seem that the body would do something to react. How do you feel when you do this?
