Hello Everyone!
Im back from vacation in New Orleans and we had a blast. I totally went off plan and had pasta, potatoes, sandwiches but this morning I was up only 3 pounds (135) after five days of going nuts...I am ok with that. I wanted to really enjoy this time with my family and we were moving around and doing so much stuff that I probably 'excercised' more in a week then I have in six months. So today I am starting hard-core induction by the book again and will just keep motivated knowing I know this WOE works and that I will see results over the long haul as long as I stick to plan! Actually I may do a three day FF on Monday, this really worked for me and I didn't feel hungry hardly at all! Goal for this week is to be down 2 pounds to 133lbs. I am also cutting out alcohol since we boozed it up with the family and hopefully that will make a BIG difference. Good Luck Everyone!

Metqa I've made yogurt from 100% raw cream and kept it raw... meaning I never allowed the heat to get about 110 degrees.... and it really didn't work well. I think it is because the yogurt cultures NEED some sugar to ferment properly. So I now always make sure I have a minimum of 1/4 milk - 1/2 milk in my ratio of cream to milk and I get a much nicer yogurt.

For those lurking and wondering what these crazy hcger's eat on a Fat Fast day.. here is today's menu for me:
1/4 whipping cream 1 cream cheese muffin 1 TBSP butter 2 eggs 1/4 cup macadamia nuts 1 piece of chocolate cheesecake Total Calories 1209, 115 fat grams, total fat 89% Drinking about 3-4 quarts of water a day and 1 quart of coffee with herbal tea here and there if I'm in the mood. I'm currently addicted to a concoction my hubby made up: Peppermint Patty Tea. We use peppermint tea and add vanilla cream & chocolate stevia's to it... YUMMY! ![]() Have a super day everyone! ![]() |

Up 2.5 pounds after yesterday, which sucks, but I expect it will come right off...hopefully...with today's fat fast.
B- coffee/cream, cheesecake L-avocado with Ranch dressing D- maybe bacon? and probably more HWC. Tomorrow I plan to incorporate more protein, and if I need to drop more from last night's gain, then a GY day on Friday. Welcome back Nicole! I was wondering where you went Last edited by RileyWorm; 02-15-2012 at 10:26 AM.. |

and I love it like that.I'm using up some fresh fruit so decided to treat myself to the sweetness, even though it lowers my fat percentage. but only by a percent or two and well worth it!. Plus I find that if I drink the kefir plain, I keep wanting more. Somehow, having the flavored smoothie makes it easier to stop after a cup. Crazy huh? HI gang
I did several hcg rounds in 2009..did awesome..lost about 50 lbs..gained about 35 back with life..divorce, moving, stress..etc. It's my own fault..and I did not weigh each day. I am one of the lucky ones who breezed through P3's on high fat..my body loves it! Thanks for sharing your knowledge..this has been eye opening and interesting...I am on vlcd 8 today..having good results...but like others, thinking of switching to FF when/if the results slow down. Keep up the good work..and thanks again for the info! |

I'm very excited about how I feel on the FF..... I was planning to return to strict VLCD for 21 days but after about a 20 min conversation with hubby this morning about all the information my brain is processing (more to come on that) AND the fact that I'm at a healthy weight and did 33 days STRICT VLCD at the start of this round.... I might not ever again return to the strict VLCD. I might finish out this round rotating between FFing, EFGT, and VLCD.... or a JUDDD type of rotation when the losses slow... so totally not sure yet... I DO know that I feel great and love watching me shrink! but I'm doing my best ...... we'll see where it gets me.... I know one thing for sure.. the end result will be my body where it needs to be and a lifetime maintenance plan that I can live with. |

Thanks girls for the warm welcome
Shirley..I know what you mean about being Rogue. After my very first 2 rounds done strictly by the book I went rogue. I have found that we need to do what works for us..and us only. We are all individuals and not the same WOE works for everyone. I tell ya..today is VLCD 8 and I am down 10 lbs..but I am HUNGRY today..not sure if it is because I read this thread from start to finish (mmmmm..the menus are yummy!) or what! I've had decent losses...today was the smallest at .2- at least it was NOT a gain...or a big goose egg. I will follow you guys daily....thanks again for the info!! |

i had some of my yogurt last evening. tasted very good. it wasn't very tangy at all. i think it could have sat longer. it sat over 12 hrs. does the not so tanginess mean there is still a lot of lactose in it not converted?

I personally think the tanginess is a combination of the starter you chose and the length of fermentation. |

Woke up to another good loss .8... I'm in virgin loss territory now.
Here is a chart of my losses since I re-entered phase 2 after my Planned Interruption: 34 2/6/2012 156.40first VLCD 35 2/7/2012 154.40VLCD 36 2/8/2012 153.20VLCD 37 2/9/2012 151.80VLCD 38 2/10/2012 151.80VLCD 39 2/11/2012 151.80first FF day 40 2/12/2012 150.80FF 41 2/13/2012 148.80FF (ate at Olive Garden for dinner) 42 2/14/2012 149.80FF (OG bump on the scale) 43 2/15/2012 147.80FF 44 2/16/2012 147.00FF I was VERY bad on my planned interruption and ate sugar an starch AND had TOM at the same time. ![]() So my first 5 days of VLCD yielded -4.6 loss, my first 5 FF days have yielded -4.8 loss. I'm doing FF for today.. and will see what the scale says tomorrow then determine if I need to bounce back over into the VLCD for a few days-week or if I'll continue going one day at a time with FFing. My end round goal is 130-135. ![]() |

For those of you who have done FF....I have a question.
For the past 3 days I've had no hunger... today I'm having hunger, not bad... but I'm hungry and I already had 1/4 cup whipping cream, 1 cream cheese muffin, and 1/2 cup GY with 1 TBSP added cream & 1 TBSP raspberries ... should I just try to keep my cals between 1200-1300 like the past couple of days and guzzle water & tea or is it worth it to try to add some protein which would bump up my cals to like 1500 for what I have planned for today? I guess the scale will tell me tomorrow if it was a good idea... but I'm wondering what you all have done with success.![]() |

I eat if I'm hungry. I'm a reprobate dieter for that reason. I don't feel guilty if I have more calories, cause hunger is a signal. It takes effort to recognize if it's physical or psychological hunger, but I try to eat what I'm craving, so if I'm hungry for meat, I'll have a bit of meat, if I'm hungry for fat, I'll have fat, hungry for carbs, a wee bit but with Fat to fill in.
On Fat Fast I think a bit more protein might help, as it might be needed in the body to keep you BS stable, y'know with ketosis/gluconeo and all that jazzz.... |

Confessions of a Cream-a-holic
Hello.... My name is Shirley...... and I'm addicted to cream...............
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ugghhhh!!![]() ![]() : sad: I could not resist ... can you say FAT FEAST instead of FAT FAST! ![]() ![]() ![]() Did I mention that I got 5 gallons of cream from the cows this morning plus I still had 1 1/2 gallons from Monday left.... so I made strawberry ice cream, vanilla ice cream, chocolate cream cheese clouds, kefired cream, and creamy broc & cauli soup w/ bacon... and I sampled ALL of it.... no that is a lie.... I ATE all of it... At least everything was sugar free... well, there were real strawberries in the strawberry ice cream but thankfully they aren't a high sugar fruit. All this stuff I made with stevia or stevia and a little xylitol. BELCH! Plus I drank over a gallon of water today... I feel like my face looks like a balloon!!! ![]() Do you ever feel like that when you have a horrible food day??? Do you feel like if you look in the mirror that old obese person will be staring right back at you instead of the thinner you you've become?? I do not think I will weigh tomorrow. ![]() |

I got to that hungry point with the fat fast after only 3 days. I'm impressed you have been able to stay on it so long. I'm thinking your body really needed that. Mine did for two days, then it wanted PROTEIN, it was screaming!! VLCD's feel really good now and I dropped 1.2 lbs the day after I started back, and ended up net zero loss or gain from the experience. Maybe your body is ready for a change? Only you know.
I am hoping this 1.2 loss is a start of a few days of week 1 type losses. That would be very stinking cool! And I did have a binge too, the last night of my FF, so don't fret too much about it. I gained, but it came right off the next day. Congrats on the weight loss and being in virgin territory!!!!!!!!!!! You totally rock. |

Well... I did not weigh immediately upon rising but after eating and drinking was obviously higher than yesterday. So today is one last FF day. I'm going to try to stick as close to 1000-1200 cal's as possible to kick the body into fat burning mode, then back to the VLCD for me. If I end up hitting a bad stall I might bounce back over for a FF. My last dose will be March 8th whether I hit goal or not.
![]() Off to appointments today so I have macadamia nuts in my purse and my jug of water! Have a SUPER day everyone! ![]() |

Well I'm done with FF for the time being. Kind of lost my focus and motivation this week and softening the rules too much so it’s not getting me anywhere. Today I have a family luncheon so I'll do low carb on the high fat side of things. Tomorrow I'm jumping back to P2 to finish DH's round with him for another week or so then off the P3 land. I hope to be at goal by then. We'll see. I’m still doing pellets and have not stopped through all of this. I'm hoping since I've been on FF for so long (two weeks) I might experience some of those first week losses P2 is known for. I'll let you know how it goes.
Thank you everyone for your insight and support!! |
